Jesus is bringing His Reward with Him for each of Us

I was told of a man who supported ministries in Africa. This brother in Christ would not eat out due to knowing that if he did, if he misspent that a child would go hungry.

Each of Christ’s saints are to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-13). This testimony above bears sharing to evoke in us a deeper fear of God and earnestness, a joy in pushing Christ’s Gospel forward in this not late but rather last hour.

“… He that feareth God shall come forth of them all.” Ecclesiastes 7:18

Beloved of God, will you hear from Christ “Well done”?

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21 & 23

Or will you hear “I never knew you: Depart from me, ye that work iniquity”?

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21, 23

This is severe, right? Shall we evade His holy truth or should we “endure sound doctrine”? See 2 Timothy 4:2-4. Did He give us this warning to scare or to prepare us… for success? The latter (Joshua 1:8). The LORD gives us the full grace, the divine enablement, to accomplish every single thing He mandated, with great joy! It begins with re-turning to Him, afresh (Hosea 14:1-2).

“And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. … Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels … 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Matthew 25:30, 42-46

Prayerfully reading Matthew 25 three times in the next 2 weeks will do your life well. Your Prayer may go something like – “LORD, what are You saying and leading and enabling in this passage, in my life?”

“God is Able” – Yet only in the Lives of His Authentic, Obedient Disciples

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Beloved of Jesus, are you doing all you can to participate in the Great Commission of reaching the world with Christ’s Gospel? What else could you be doing, what could you liquidate? What did the fruit of the earliest followers look like?

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.” Acts 2:44-45

“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.” Acts 4:32-35

What shall we say to the King when brought into personal accountability for what we did with HIS stuff? Jesus’ parable of the talents (Matthew 25). This is coming soon – where each of us stand individually before God to give full account of our stewardship of that which is HIS, that He put into our hands, our trust.

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Proverbs 28:20

Preach, WARN, Teach

“Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:28

Read the above words again: What three things did Paul do to prepare the members of Christ’s body to successfully stand before God to give full account? Colossians 1:28

If you want to fade away crassly denying the Holy Spirit’s conviction and go back to the poison peddlers who have you in a state of Hell bound lukewarmness, you will not like the biblical output of this ministry outreach. Jesus is separating the wheat from the chaff, the authentic from the counterfeits.

“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:47

Every Person Shall be Rewarded and all Rewards aren’t Good

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Romans 14:10

Jesus is saying into our hearts….

“Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his WORK shall be.” Revelation 22:12

The word “reward” appears 80 times in God’s Word and means to pay for service – good or bad – as in reaping what we sow (Galatians 6:7-8).

Greek: mis-thos’

Apparently a primary word; pay for service (literally or figuratively), good or bad: hire, reward, wages.

Those who are not literally obeying God have chosen to be counterfeits, are self-deceived, and will be eternally damned (Romans 2:13; James 1:22). Talk is cheap (1 John 3:18).

In Christ’s kingdom teaching of the parable of the talents, the difference between the three men who were given talents was what they did and what they did not do (Matthew 25:14-30). See Proverbs 24:10-12; Matthew 25; Luke 10:25-37; 16:19-31; 18:10-14; Romans 2:1-11; Galatians 6:7-8;1 John 3:14-19, etc.

YOUR PRAYER: Holy Father, I thank You afresh for how You sent Your only begotten Son Jesus to this sin-cursed earth. He came in comprehensive fulfillment of Your Word foretold of our Messiah. He lived unto You, lived a sinless life, taught us, died on that cross, was buried, and raised up again for our, for my justification. LORD, thank You. Thank You. I love You LORD Jesus. Now please grant this heart the deepest repentance. Please restore, bless, fill, and have Your way in me. Please bless this heart to be pliable, wise, teachable, correctible. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
