Nourished Up in God’s Word 1 Timothy 4:6 [1 min video]

“If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1 Timothy 4:6

Jesus is KING and kingdom living is all about exalting KING Jesus – not mere men or organizations or ministries! It’s only then that His divine “nourishment” is going to flow down into His beloved body!

“Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.” Colossians 2:18-19

Heaven’s “nourishment” only transpires when KING Jesus is truly exalted.

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:8

Modern church pawns want you to become enamored with THEM, not CHRIST. It’s a sales job! Beware. Read Colossians 2:18-19 closely.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

WHEN we sit down to eat a meal, the goal is usually to fill up with nourishing, energy producing fuel for the body and mind, right? Yes. And when it’s a steak, there’s a type of deeper satisfaction that occurs as in contrast with lighter fare. Remember that we are “spirit and soul and body.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23) So what’s missing thus far in this brief correspondence? The spirit of man, right? Yes. And how is our spirit nourished? With the Word of God, our spiritual food. When we depart from our dwelling place in the morning, is it not wise to leave full, filled up with Heaven’s nourishment? Yes! Running on empty makes for a day of defeat while being richly full, fueled, with God’s Word makes for full fortification, fulfillment and flourishing!
