“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Luke 12:40

In anticipating the coming of Christ we His children, His ambassadors, are to be enduring to the end by preaching His kingdom Gospel to the lost!

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:13-14

How to Get Ready and Stay Ready

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.” Acts 3:19-21

Jesus commanded us that both “repentance and remission of sins should be preached.”

“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47

You are a messenger of the Good News and you must inform them of the bad news by giving them the 10 commandments and asking if they’ve violated them.

God is “Holy, holy, holy” and cannot have relationship with any person who is choosing to live in sin…  (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8).

“The wages of sin is death” -Death means separation, so when Christ saves us He removes that which divided us. THAT is exactly why Jesus came:

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10

God cannot and will not fellowship with anyone who chooses sin over Him.

“For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.” Psalms 5:4

“Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity…” Habakkuk 1:13

You must appropriate God’s forgiveness, salvation by repentance and faith.

“Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:21

Divine Instructions in Ministering to Lost Souls

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” 2 Timothy 2:24-26

Please allow me to exhort you to read this passage each morning this week, to allow this rich divine truth to ruminate, to steep in your thoughts, mind, heart.

Lost souls are not your enemy.

God told you to love them. Jesus commanded us to love even our enemies, right? (Matthew 5:44)

“For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” James 1:20

“The wrath of man” – Man’s undue wrath clearly reveals a self-righteous modern pharisee, religionist. When you see a man moved with anger instead of compassion on the lost, you are witnessing a self-righteous hell bound counterfeit.

“God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.” Psalms 7:11

This verse, truth, is no license for us who are saved by grace to hate or condemn sinners. That’s not our place.

GOD is angry with the wicked. GOD, not you. Repent now. God is “Holy, holy, holy” not you.

Those who love are the soul winners. Those who hate, whose hearts are full of undue anger and hatred against the lost, don’t win anyone to Jesus.

Interesting. Discern the difference:

Jesus was moved with anger on the self-righteous religionists. See Mark 3:1-6.

Jesus was “moved with compassion” on the lost souls He encountered when street ministering. See Matthew 9:35-38.

All sinners are in darkness. Jesus says He did not come to the earth to condemn them but rather to save them.

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17

Are we sinning or are we scattering souls?

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30

Unwarranted anger and “the wrath of man” is unbefitting when it is coming from paupers who are saved by the sheer mercy of God.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:5-7

Enduring to the end involves making known Christ to the lost, beckoning them to repent, receive Christ, and be, live in readiness of His soon return.

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” Revelation 2:26

Those living ready for Christ’s return have put and are keeping their hand on the plow of His Gospel, His Great Commission work:

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

The Divine Invitation

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17

Saints, the world is coming undone. More daily. Foretold in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Preach the Gospel saints. GOD is holding you accountable to obey His Great Commission command.

YOUR PRAYER: Father in Jesus’ name, please forgive my sin of rebellion, of self-idolatry, of spiritual adultery, fornication, strife, pride, drunkenness, over indulgence, etc. Please forgive and wash away all my sins now in Your precious blood dear LORD Jesus. Fill, prepare, and use me in Thy Great Commission work, all the way to the day You split that eastern sky LORD. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Abiding Under the Shadow of the Almighty [podcast]

Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. 16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:  Jeremiah 15:15-16

Dwelling “in the secret place of the most High”

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:1-2

“In the secret place of the Most High – Spoken probably in reference to the Holy of holies. He who enters legitimately there shall be covered with the cloud of God’s glory – the protection of the all-sufficient God. This was the privilege of the high priest only, under the law: but under the new covenant all believers in Christ have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; and those who thus enter are safe from every evil.” Adam Clarke

“[Psalms] 91:1, 2 Jesus is the One who in a preeminent way dwelt in the secret place of the Most High, and abode under the shadow of the Almighty. There never was a life like His. He lived in absolute, unbroken fellowship with God, His Father. He never acted in self-will but did only those things that the Father directed. Though He was perfect God, He was also perfect Man, and He lived His life on earth in utter and complete dependence on God. Without equivocation He could look up and say, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I will trust.” Believer’s Bible Commentary

Attend to My Words [podcast]

IF THE WORD isn’t flowing into you daily, you are falling away. Flood and fuel your heart and mind and body with the pure, the holy light of God’s Word daily and you will never famish! All darkness will be vanquished (Psalms 119:130). All who have been saved and yet aren’t in God’s Word and prayer daily – have rejected Christ, with no exception. Re-turn to the LORD prodigal. There’s no good outside of Christ the KING.

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130

ALL who are not in God’s written Word daily are not hearing from God, do not have God’s wisdom and direction, and are walking in darkness – 100%.

The feeding of Christ’s flock would integrally involve exhorting them to diligently study and walk in God’s Word themselves, daily (John 21:15-17). Isn’t this exactly what the apostle Paul told Timothy to do? Yes. He told his understudy to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

One of the ways we know who the false ministers are, is that they want people dependent on THEM, not God. So, they don’t constantly exhort the people to get into God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, for themselves. Run.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. … My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:4, 20-23

“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16

“Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

“Over the last 5-10 years I can see where He has done this for me already, but the problem is …. it’s not enough! I want even more! One hour of study and prayer in the morning is not enough!” Christine
