Satan Entered Judas.
But How?

“Then entered Satan (who?!) into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.” Luke 22:3

Just how did Satan actually get access to one of Jesus’ 12? Have you wondered that? ….. Well, as usual, we must look at the whole of God’s Word to discover this – “precept upon precept; line upon line,” … “comparing (collating, putting together) spiritual things with spiritual.” (Isaiah 28:10, 13; 1 Corinthians 2:13) … Read the following verse of Holy Scripture and see if you can decipher why Judas, after walking with Jesus, being sent by Jesus to do His work, being specifically hand selected by the very Son of God, betrayed Christ: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) Do and memorize this verse of divine truth. Judas was invaded by Satan only due to his own deliberate neglecting of proper, intimate fellowship with the Son of God. When the disciples were supposed to be praying, they slept. This led to Peter’s denial of Christ and Judas’ betraying the Son of God. Peter chose to repent and Judas didn’t. The same applies to all who’ve been saved today. God grants all men free will and wishes that none perish (Deuteronomy 30:19; Joshua 24:15; 2 Peter 3:9). This is the difference for those two – one repented and the other refused. The same will be the case for millions who were once saved and then forfeited their place with God due to not keeping Jesus first (Revelation 2:4-5; Matthew 25:1-13, etc.). See Mark 14 and 1 John 1:2-2:2.

THIS IS SIMPLE. IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. THE WAY JUDAS FELL AND COMMITTED THE MOST SINISTER BETRAYAL IN HISTORY IS THE EXACT SAME WAY YOU AND I HAVE FALLEN AND BETRAYED CHRIST AT TIMES. YOU MUST REMAIN BUILT UP IN CHRIST THROUGH DAILY COMMUNION WITH HIM IN PRAYER AND IN HIS WORD. WE ARE NO MATCH FOR SIN AND SATAN. WE MUST BE CONSUMED WITH THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST TO OVERCOME (ROMANS 8:12-14, ETC.).

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:

“Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18:1

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” Jude 20

“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:11

Now, when we, the very children of God, bought by Christ’s very blood, stay upon the LORD, He fills us and we not only are prevented from betraying Jesus but also are anointed to bear good fruit in doing His work.

Why does the Bible tell us king Rehoboam “did evil”?

“And he did evil, BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.” 2 Chronicles 12:14

Rehoboam betrayed the LORD by not keeping his heart prepared before Him in daily communion. King Rehaboam betrayed the LORD in doing evil due to his refusal to spend quality, honest-hearted time with the LORD. It’s just that simple. How is the heart of the LORD’s child prepared before Him daily to love, worship, and serve Him? Jesus told us right here in Matthew 26:41 when He instructed us: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Prayer.

Also, we become strong and “grow” as we daily ingest the very Words of God:

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” 1 Peter 2:2

What happens when the LORD’s servants diligently prepare their hearts before Him? In others words they seek His holy face unrelentingly …..

“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.” Ezra 7:10

As we see here with the LORD’s servant Ezra, he was blessed to do the Word (law) and to “teach” it by reason of preparing his heart before God. Ezra stayed upon the LORD (Isaiah 10:20; 50:10).

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet (fit) for the master’s use, and PREPARED unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21

As we see in the verse above, preparation determines just how powerfully God can use us as individuals.

SIFTING HAPPENS IN STAGES. FALLING AWAY BEGINS IN AN INSTANT – UPON NEGLECTING FELLOWSHIP WITH THE ONE WHO SAVED US! READ MARK 14 CLOSELY. NOTICE WHAT LED TO PETER’S DENIAL OF CHRIST IN THE LATER PORTION OF THIS CHAPTER. LIFE LESSON FOR US! PETER AND THE OTHER DISCIPLES OF JESUS FELL ASLEEP INSTEAD OF PRAYING. THEY NEGLECTED THEIR FELLOWSHIP TIME WITH THE LORD AND THEREFORE HAD NOT OIL, NO DIVINE VIRTUE AND STRENGTH TO FACE THE TEMPTATION THAT LIED AHEAD. MEMORIZE JESUS’ WORDS IN MATTHEW 26:41.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ holy name I come before You. I repent right now for committing the sin of idolatry by not keeping You as first love and first priority of my existence, my life You gave and for which I shall give account. Please forgive me Father in Jesus’ name. You are in Heaven and I upon Your earth. I want to know and to truly please You in all things and I know that is all rooted in knowing You. Bless me to know You, to fear, and to serve You truly. Break me LORD! Bless me to break up the fallow ground and grant Thy servant a heart of flesh. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

WHY IS THE KING JAMES VERSION CALLED THE “AUTHORIZED VERSION”?

Question: Why is the King James Bible called the “Authorized Version”? How did King James Authorize it?

Answer: Despite stories to the contrary, King James, in no uncertain terms, clearly authorized the translation of the Bible that now bears his name.

[Note: This is a drastically shortened account of the birth of God’s preserved words in English. Longer accounts are available, as in Final Authority: A Christian’s Guide to the King James Bible, by William P. Grady.]

Sanctioning the Authorized Version

When Elizabeth died on April 1, 1603, she had seen 130 editions of the New Testament and the Bible published during her 45 years as Queen of England. James VI of Scotland, son of Mary, “Queen of Scots,” became James I of England.

Four days later, on his way to London, a delegation of Puritan ministers met James, asking him to hear their grievances against the Church of England. James consented, and on January of 1604, four Puritans came to express their troubles at Hampton Court, in front of King James and over 50 Anglican (Church of England) officials. One by one each request was rejected, until the Puritan group’s leader, John Rainolds said these famous words:

“May your Majesty be pleased to direct that the Bible be now translated, [since] such versions as are extant [are] not answering to the original.”

At first, Bishop Bancroft of London was dead-set against it, saying, “If every man’s humor might be followed, there would be no end to translating.” But the King made it clear he liked the idea. Not too long later Bancroft wrote this to a friend:

I move you in his majesty’s name that, … no time may be overstepped by you for the better furtherance of this holy work…. You will scarcely conceive how earnest his majesty is to have this work begun!

When this Bible was translated, the title page was printed basically as you find it today in Cambridge Bibles:

The Imperative of Private Prayer [podcast]

We must be aware of our prayers we throw up while they have no congruence with our personal life – when they are shot gun prayers void of the foundation of private prayer, private praying, and holy living.

Private prayer with God is an essential to set your life up for success.

Private prayer is essential to the disciple. Jesus reveals here that those who seek His face in prayer privately, will be used of Him publicly!

Are you at Christ’s feet? Do you live a life of prayer? Have you ever studied the life of Christ and beheld the many instances of His prayer life?

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1:35

“Solitary” simply means uninhabited.

If we want to assess our true spiritual state with God, we need only look to our prayer life or lack thereof. Show me a man’s prayer life, and I will show you who that man is! When God is truly first in a person’s life, all else will be demoted in importance!

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Revelation 2:4-5

Backsliding begins with neglect of our relationship, our prayer life, our life of prayer with our LORD and Savior.

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
