Are you contributing, participating?

How were we, how is any person “born again”?

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23

We “shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace” as we sow the incorruptible seed of God’s Word into the hearts of men.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:11-12

As we sow God’s Word into the hearts of men we are going to go forth with His joy and peace! This is exactly who we, His people, are blessed to participate in the LORD’s salvation plan.

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:6-9

God gives the increase when we sow His Word into the hearts of sinners.

“WE are labourers TOGETHER with God.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

Each of us are individual members in Christ’s one body (1 Corinthians 12). If God’s people don’t support HIS work, it simply does not get supported. When God’s people help His other children and His work, they partake of the eternal fruit He promised (Matthew 6:19-21).

Does the LORD not fabulously promise to replenish and refill?

“The liberal (giving, generous) soul shall be made
fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also
himself. 26 He that withholdeth corn, the people
shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the
head of him that selleth it.” Proverbs 11:25-26

Are you participating in supporting those saints in need and
our LORD’s work?

We find these red letters, the very words of our LORD, in the
books of Acts:

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

If your “faith” is not producing good works, it’s fake faith.

“Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” James 2:18

“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26

Abiding in Christ, enduring to the end.

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” Revelation 2:26

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You gave Your only begotten Son for me. Bless this heart to truly trust You (knowing You own all), and to give freely as You’ve freely given to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
