The Book of Colossians

Summation Statement: Jesus Christ is the supreme God, Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer of all things and worthy of your life’s worship. Serve Him – being rooted and built up in Him (1:16-18; 2:6-7).

Introduction (Paul, Appr 60-65 AD)

“The Church was suffering from the teaching of a false philosophy which combined Oriental mysticism with Jewish ritualism, and turned the disciples from simple faith in Christ. The object of this Epistle, therefore, is to set forth the majesty and glory of our Lord’s person and character. … Colosse was an important city in Asia Minor, not far from Laodicea and Hierapolis. The church there had been planted by Epaphras.” E-Sword

“To go into (Colossians) itself, to rethink its inspired thought that is clothed in inspired language, to let the light and the power of this thought fill the soul and mold the life, this is enrichment for time and for eternity.” Lenski

“Although the place was insignificant, the Letter that the apostle sent there is very important. Along with John 1 and Hebrews 1, Colossians 1 presents the most marvelous exposition of the absolute deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Since this doctrine is fundamental to all Christian truth, its value cannot be over stressed. The letter also has rich instruction on relationships, cultic religion, and the Christian life.” William MacDonald, Believers Bible Commentary

The apostle Paul wrote Colossians to combat the dangerous false teaching at Colosse that was unseating, displacing, and usurping the centrality and supremacy of Jesus Christ in creation, revelation, redemption, and in His church. Colossians explicitly details the doctrines of devils which seek to dethrone Christ, stripping the divine, nail-scarred risen Savior of His Headship in His body. In fact, all false leaders have this one thing in common and can be known by such: They rob the glory from Christ alone to whom it is due by not elevating Christ to His rightful place by reason of His uniqueness and perfect redemptive sacrifice. As was the case in Colosse, distractions abound in today’s modern church world. Today there is no end to the programs, paganism, pop psychology, and people that have been lifted up above the “Head” of the body of Christ, Jesus Christ. In Colossians Paul establishes the divinely-ordained, non-negotiable centrality of Christ in creation, redemption, and Headship among His beloved people.

Defending the faith is a standard, a mandate, and a vital part of the Christian life. The faith of the original Gospel must be defended by its adherents. We must die to self and obey the One we claim to serve. To prepare Jesus’ people for His soon return, the apostle Paul did 3 things: PWT = Preach, Warn, Teach (Colossians 1:28).

Chapter Breakdown

Chapter 1: The redemption, deity, supremacy, centrality, and uniqueness of Jesus Christ, who is Creator and Sustainer of all He made.

Chapter 2: The defense of the Gospel against various attacks – which seek to remove centrality and worship from Christ alone.

Chapter 3: The Christian life. The believer’s duty to the supreme LORD and Savior. Eternal living perspective, now. Living in light of eternity with Christ.

Chapter 4: Prayer nuggets, Paul’s fellow labourers in the Gospel, salutations, greetings.

Some of the heresies in Colosse and today’s church world:

  1. Ceremonialism. It held to strict rules about the kinds of permissible food and drink, religious festivals (2:16–17) and circumcision (2:11; 3:11).
  2. Asceticism. “Touch not; taste not; handle not” (2:21; cf. 2:23).
  3. Angel worship. See 2:18.
  4. Depreciation, demotion of Christ who is God Almighty (1:15-18; 2:18-19). This is most insistently implied in Paul’s emphasis on the supremacy of Christ (1:15–20; 2:2–3:9).
  5. Secret knowledge. The Gnostics boasted of this (see 2:18 and Paul’s emphasis in 2:2–3 on Christ, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”).
  6. Reliance on human wisdom and tradition. See 2:4,8.

More from FB Meyer: Colossians 2:1-12 – ESTABLISHED IN THEIR FAITH: If you know Christ, you can lay your hand on the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. They are matters of daily experience. The Apostle’s aim in this chapter is to put his converts on their guard against those who might divert them from their simple faith in Jesus, and their sufficiency in Him. The keynotes are Take heed and Let no one. The first act of the Christian life is to receive Christ, and every moment afterward we must continue receiving Him. The act must become an attitude. Breathe in the love and power of Jesus. Take deep breaths. Then we shall be rooted in Him in secret, and built up in Him in our outward walk and behavior. If we have Christ, we have all God’s fullness, and this is easily accessible. Like Jacob’s ladder, He links us with God. What need have we for celestial beings, like those invented by the Gnostics, or for the rite of circumcision, as insisted on by the Jews? We have everything in Jesus. He has fulfilled the Law in all respects on our behalf. Let us put the waters of entire surrender and consecration between our past, our sins, and the world, and rise into His life, the life of resurrection glory and power.

Colossians 2:13-23 – AVOIDING ERRORS: The reiteration of the prepositions in and with emphasizes our close identification with our Savior. Such we are in the purpose of God, and so we should be in daily experience. In union with Him we have once and forever put away the sins of the flesh, have lain in His grave, have passed to the heavenside of death, and are living under the blue sky of acceptance with God. Our Master’s victory is potentially ours. He won it, but we may share its fruits. Yet faith must apprehend and affirm these blessings. The land of Canaan is ours by right, but every inch has to be claimed by faith. “Faith is an affirmation and act that bids eternal truth be fact. We must not allow our religious life to become a piece of outward ritual, Col_2:16-17; nor permit the supposed mediation of angels to obscure the supreme majesty of our Lord, Col_2:18-19. We who have died with Christ must not be always regulating ourselves by the dont’s of the Law. Let us enter Christ’s more intimate fellowship and live on the positive side. Ours should be the freedom of a full life, and the ampler vision of the mountains. Nothing else really avails against the indulgence of the flesh.”

One website noted:

“Gnosticism was perhaps the most dangerous heresy that threatened the early church during the first three centuries. Influenced by such philosophers as Plato, Gnosticism is based on two false premises. First, it espouses a dualism regarding spirit and matter. Gnostics assert that matter is inherently evil and spirit is good. As a result of this presupposition, Gnostics believe anything done in the body, even the grossest sin, has no meaning because real life exists in the spirit realm only.

Second, Gnostics claim to possess an elevated, secret knowledge, a “higher truth” known only to a certain few. Gnosticism comes from the Greek word gnosis which means “to know.” Gnostics claim to possess a higher knowledge, not from the Bible, but acquired on some mystical higher plane of existence. Gnostics see themselves as a privileged class elevated above everybody else by their higher, deeper knowledge of God. Christ is Creator and “the Almighty.” (Colossians 1:16; Revelation 1:8) There is nothing or no one on His divine level, much less superior to Heaven’s KING.

To discredit the idea of any compatibility between Christianity and Gnosticism, one has only to compare their teachings on the main doctrines of the faith. On the matter of salvation, Gnosticism teaches that salvation is gained through the acquisition of divine knowledge which frees one from the illusions of darkness. Although they claim to follow Jesus Christ and His original teachings, Gnostics contradict Him at every turn. Jesus said nothing about salvation through knowledge, but by faith in Him as Savior from sin. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Furthermore, the salvation Christ offers is free and available to everyone (John 3:16), not just a select few who have acquired a special revelation.

Ever seen how today’s gnostics advertise that they have “the secret teachings of Jesus”?Some claim to have “the hidden teachings of Jesus.” But Jesus’ teachings are fully available in HIS Word, in the Bible, so they aren’t hidden or secret. This is a deception from the very wolves the Son of God so often warned us about. Jesus doesn’t do things in the darkness – because He is the light of the world and has nothing to hide (John 8:12). Jesus came and taught extensively then died, was buried, and rose again from the dead high on a hill for everyone to see. “For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.” (Acts 26:26) You must repent and receive Jesus or you are not His (Lk 13:3; Jn 1:12, etc.).

These same vile frauds who claim to have secret knowledge are the very people who refuse to obey Christ’s plain, openly given knowledge – beginning with His command to repent or perish (Luke 13:3). That’s why they are looking for an alternative way as they attempt to sidestep or go around Jesus. But Jesus nails them when He says “That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:23-24)

Christianity asserts that there is one source of Truth and that is the Bible, the inspired, inerrant Word of the living God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12). It is God’s written revelation to mankind and is never superseded by man’s thoughts, ideas, writings, or visions. The Gnostics, on the other hand, use a variety of early heretical writings known as the Gnostic gospels, a collection of forgeries claiming to be “lost books of the Bible.” Thankfully, the early church fathers were nearly unanimous in recognizing these Gnostic scrolls as fraudulent forgeries that espouse false doctrines about Jesus Christ, salvation, God, and every other crucial Christian truth. There are countless contradictions between the Gnostic “gospels” and the Bible. Even when the so-called Christian Gnostics quote from the Bible, they rewrite verses and parts of verses to harmonize with their philosophy, a practice that is strictly forbidden and warned against by Scripture (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19).”

Colossians 1-2

  • NOTHING replaces Bible reading – prayerfully reading through a book 10-20 times to gain a grasp of the divine message and transmission
  • John 12:21; Heb 12:1-2
  • What is God saying to us, His body, through the book of Colossians?
  • Every individual chooses the type, the quality of heart soil they will have
  • Not an exhaustive study but definitely to launch the student of Christ into a deeper study of this ultra important New Testament book to find out what God is saying to us through it.
  • The kingdom of Christ is all about KING Jesus! He alone came, died, was buried, and raised from dead to purchase a people unto Himself and the Father.

Content of the Letter

Colossae is in the region of the seven churches of Revelation. In Colossians there is mention of local brethren in Colossae, Laodicea, and Hierapolis. Colossae was approximately 12 miles (19 km) from Laodicea and 14 miles (23 km) from Hierapolis. Members of the congregation at Colossae had incorporated pagan elements into their practice, including worship of elemental spirits. The Epistle to the Colossians declares Christ’s supremacy over the entire created universe and exhorts Christians to lead godly lives. The letter consists of two parts: first a doctrinal section, then a second regarding conduct. In both sections, false teachers who have been spreading error in the congregation are opposed.[5]

FB Meyer: Colossians 1:1-8
THE GOSPEL BEARING FRUIT
The saints are men of faith, for their holiness is derived from Christ, but they are also faithful men, and will not betray their trust. Grace is the Greek and peace the Hebrew greeting. We can do a great deal with those whom we desire to correct or instruct, if we begin by commending all that is worthy of being praised. Thus the Apostle rejoices in the evidences of the trinity of Christian graces-Faith, Hope, and Love. His prayer-book was filled with intercession. One marvels at the accomplishment of this extraordinary man, who, in addition to his travels, labors, writings, and toil for his daily bread, had time for such abundant prayerfulness. There is a note of triumph in his reference to the reception given to the gospel in all the world. The handful of corn on the top of the mountains was already beginning to shake like Lebanon. It seemed as though victory was assured; and if only the Church had possessed more men like him, the world would have been saved some sad experiences. Note the unaffected humility of the Apostle in classing Epaphras with himself as his beloved fellow-servant in the household of God.” F. B. Meyer

“In making us qualified to be partakers of the saints in light, God “hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (cf. 1 Jn 2:11). This can be illustrated by the experience of the children of Israel, as recorded in Exodus. They had been living in Egypt, groaning under the lashes of the taskmasters there. By a marvelous act of divine intervention, God delivered them out of that fearful bondage and led them through the wilderness to the promised land. Similarly, as sinners we were in bondage to Satan, but through Christ we have been delivered from his clutches and now we are subjects of Christ’s kingdom. Satan’s kingdom is one of darkness – an absence of light, warmth, and joy; while the kingdom of Christ is one of love, which implies the presence of all three.” William MacDonald, Believer’s Bible Commentary, 1992

v15-23

“The Glories of Christ the Church’s Head: In the next four verses, we have the Lord Jesus described: (1) in His relationship to God (v15); (2) in His relationship to creation (v16-17); (3) in His relationship to the church (v18). The Lord is here described as the image of the invisible God. Image carries with it at least two ideas: First, it conveys the thought that the Lord Jesus has enabled us to see what God is like. God is Spirit and is therefore invisible. But in the Person of Christ, God made Himself visible to mortal eyes. In that sense the Lord Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Whoever has seen Him has seen the Father (John 14:9). But the word image also conveys the idea of “representative.” God had originally placed Adam on the earth to represent His interests, but Adam failed. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son into the world as His Representative to care for His interests and to reveal His heart of love to man. In that sense, He is the image of God. The same word image is used in 3:10, where believers are said to be in the image of Christ.

Christ is also “the firstborn of every creature”, or of every created being. What does this mean? Some false teachers suggest that the Lord Jesus is Himself a created being, that He was the first Person whom God ever made. Some of them are even willing to go to far as to admit that He is the greatest creature ever to come from the hand of God. The expression “firstborn” has at least three different meanings in Scripture. In Luke 2:7, it is used in a literal sense, where Mary brought forth her first born Son. There it means that the Lord Jesus was the first child to whom she gave birth. … Is not that exactly the thought of Colossians 1:15 – “the firstborn of every creature”? The Lord Jesus Christ is God’s unique Son. In once sense all believers are sons of God, but he Lord Jesus is God’s Son in a way that is not true of any other. He existed before all creation and occupies a position of supremacy over it. His is the rank of eminence and dominion. The expression  “the firstborn of every creature” has nothing to do with birth here.  It simply means that He is God’s Son by an eternal relationship. It is a title of priority of position, and not simply one of time.” William MacDonald, Believer’s Bible Commentary, p 1993-1994

“And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” Ephesians 3:9

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high …  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hand.” Hebrews 1:1-3, 10

Chapter 2

Any person claiming wisdom outside of Christ, is a deceived soul.

“In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3

“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:24

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” 1 Corinthians 3:19

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Psalms 111:10

Today the esoterics and gnostics pretend to have elevated knowledge above others – and more insidious are the seminarians among us who pretend to have superior knowledge, wielding their deception over the common people as they catapult and raise themselves over the people. Jesus says He hates this Nicolaitan witchcraft (Revelation 2:6, 15). Nico = Conquer and Laitan = the people. Nicolaitan simply means to conquer the people. Jesus is the only “head of the body, the church.” (Colossians 1:18; 2:18-19). No one else has that distinction but the One who came into His created earth to bleed and purchase His people unto Himself.

Satan’s wolves position themselves over the people, their prey:

“While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome (via deception), of the same is he brought in bondage.” 2 Peter 2:19

“Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.”1 Corinthians 7:23

“Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.” 2 Corinthians 1:24

“And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.” 2 Corinthians 8:5

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy 2:5-6

Antichrist frauds like Confucius, the priests and popes of Rome, Mohammed, and Buddha are all mere sinful men who all died and are in hell, irrevocably (2 Peter 2:1-3). The modern perpetrators of their teachings emphasize submission to them and mere head knowledge, meditation, mind-emptying, asceticism, contemplation, centering/contemplative prayer/ spirituality and prayer practices outside of the Person and name of Jesus. Yet, one and only God reserves the dispensing of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom for those who obey Him, beginning with true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. In these heretical economies, there is no sin or repentance nor faith in someone infinitely greater than man (Jer 17:9; Lk 13:3, 5; Proverbs 3:5-7; Heb. 11:6).

God grants access to Himself and the treasures of His divinely granted salvation, wholeness, healing, and wisdom exclusively through Jesus Christ. We have in relationship with the Father bold prayer access as we approach Him through our LORD Jesus for all things (John 14:!3-14; 16:23-24; Hebrews 4:14-16; 7:24-26). In this relationship He’s brought us in through Christ.

The biblical word “antichrist” means both in place of Christ or against Him, the former being the most insidious. All who are not rooted and grounded in Christ will absolutely be led astray from Him. The root problem of these antichrist heresies is that they do not honor to Jesus Christ for access to God (John 5:23-24; 14:6). They present some other way which makes the perpetrators thieves and robbers according to Christ (John 10:1-10). Instead these philosophies and practices focus on things YOU do to conjure up or earn, merit to gain access to God to get what you want (Ephesians 2:8-9; Rom 4:4-5; 2 Cor 5:19, 21). These doctrines of devils are self-centered and not Christ-centered. Yet, we know that God will not have a relationship with any person or answer prayer outside of Christ (John 5:23; 14:6, 13-14; 16:23-24, etc.). Devils/demons will answer those emptyings, meditations, prayers and seekers and ultimately wreak havoc on the willingly deceived who partake. These occult practices were devised by devils for the exact purpose of enabling demon possession and destruction (John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 2:11; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:11-12).

All of these same heresies seek to entice and move the believer away from Christ, the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2-5). Wolves who teach these things have invaded the church world through what is called contemplative spirituality/prayer, spiritual formation, soaking, etc. The NAR (New Apostolic Reformation), Word of Faith, and emergent church movements are basically humanism, New Age, yoga, eastern mysticism, and transcendental meditation with repackaged lingo/nomenclature.

Spiritual Formation – Spiritual formation may refer either to the process and practices by which a person may progress in one’s spiritual or religious life or to a movement in Protestant Christianity that emphasizes these processes and practices. Again, spiriutal formation is just another trick of Satan to remove believers from “the simplicity that is

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.” 2 Corinthians 11:2-5

The underlying common denominator of these ancient heathen, pagan practices is that they do not uphold Christ according to the record of Scripture – that He is Creator, God, and Redeemer (Is. 45:22; Colossians 1-2; Rev. 1:8). All these false religious techniques perpetrate the assertion of US in place of Christ – which reveals that “the spirit of antichrist” is behind all these methods to reach God or futily attempt to procure things like peace of mind for self (Titus 3:5-7). Jesus upends this self-effort, self-will rebellion which is witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:22-23). “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.  … Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matt. 6:7-8; 7:7-8) All men are sinners in need of the mercy of God which He pours out exclusively through Christ (Titus 3:5-7, etc.).

Seminaries today across America are now requiring courses in spiritual formation and contemplative spirituality. The seminaries were infiltrated by the Jesuits and led astray beginning in the 1950-60’s.

Transcendental Meditation (TM) – Transcendental Meditation technique: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“The Transcendental Meditation technique or TM is a form of silent mantra meditation,[1] developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The meditation practice involves the use of a mantra and is practiced for 15–20 minutes twice per day while sitting with one’s eyes closed.[2][3] It is one of the most-widely practiced,[4][5][6] and among the most widely researched meditation techniques,[7] with over 340 peer-reviewed studies published.[8]:p 14[9] Beginning in 1965, the Transcendental Meditation technique has been incorporated into schools, universities, corporations, and prison programs in the USA, Latin America, Europe, and India.

The technique has been described as both religious and non-religious, as an aspect of a new religious movement, as rooted in Hinduism,[12]:p 188[13] and as a non-religious practice for self-development.[8]:p 4[14][15] The public presentation of the technique over its 50-year history has been praised for its high visibility in the mass media and effective global propagation, and criticized for using celebrity and scientific endorsements as a marketing tool.”

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:” 1 Timothy 6:20

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:8-10

What they have in common: These counterfeits all promise inner peace and wellness that Christ alone who made us can provide (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

God rewards those who obey Him, elevating Christ in worship and not self – which is the way of Lucifer/Satan and those who are his (Is. 14:12-15; Lk 10:18).

“Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. 15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.” John 7:14-18

Never be impressed with mere knowledge that is not shared in humility with a heart of love to help you learn of the LORD – to know, worship, and obey Him. The Bible tells us that “God is love” and those who are His have a relationship with Him and therefore no need to run around parading themselves as something they are not – and not mere human is (John 17:3; 1 John 3:1; 4:16-18).

In summation: In Colossians, the great apostle of Christ is warning us to be rooted in our relationship with Jesus and to beware of cheap counterfeits.

On that note of knowing and loving our LORD, recently a dear sister sent this prayer:

“Lord, may this be our daily prayer, that Christ alone be magnified.

Wow, bless us Lord to be captivated by Your love and Your will.

Change us, purify us, sanctify us according to Your Word and Your ways.

We delight to be a joy to You and bring glory to Your Name.

Please take us from where we are and grant that we would grow in grace and truth,

always abounding in Your work — FILLED with Your Spirit, Life and Love.

You must increase and we must decrease.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.” Debbie Lord

2:6-7 – 2 Discussion Questions

  1. What were you told by other Christians when you first got saved that helped or hurt you in the ensuing years of being saved?
  2. Looking back, what could other born again saints have told you that would have greatly helped you as you grew in the grace of Christ?

GOING to church once per week isn’t what the LORD has in mind for knowing, seeking, and growing in Him. Jesus says knowing and following Him is “daily.” (Lk 9:23-24; Acts 5:42)

When God Says to STOP PRAYING! [podcast]

Reconciling with God and other Saints

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law (the Word), even his prayer shall be abomination.” Proverbs 28:9

Those who do not love God enough to seek Him in the Word, to learn, and to obey Him, will not be heard by Him.

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

In general, because God is “Holy, holy, holy,” when there is sin, God will not answer prayers – until the sinner repents and reconciles with the LORD and any person involved as needed (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8; Proverbs 28:9, etc.).

“And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11 Israel hath sinned …” Joshua 7:10-11

In other words, God said to Joshua “Why are you seeking My face, praying to me, talking to me, when there is sin in the camp? Get the sin our of the camp and then you can approach Me in prayer.”

STOP PRAYING AND LEAVE IT!

God is not going to bless our lives unless we are willing to sincerely admit our sins, repent and confess them, and make amends (restitution) with anyone we’ve harmed. In the divine economy, there’s no such thing as being right with God when you’ve done another person wrong, haven’t repented, and haven’t made amends for what you’ve done. Such a person will be outside of the will and blessings of God until he makes things right with God and man.

God is not hearing the prayers or worship of any person who has done someone else wrong and refuses to make restitution (Matthew 5:23-24).

“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; FIRST be reconciled to thy brother, and THEN come and offer thy gift.” Matthew 5:23-24

God will not answer the prayer of any person who does not honor and obey His Word and if a person has an outstanding offense He wants them to clear up these matters (Proverbs 28:9, 13).

Here Jesus gave us the instruction to stop praying! What!? Someone may be thinking “Todd, are you being sacrilegious now!? What is your problem brother!?” Keep reading okay.

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” Psalms 66:18

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7

According to the Son of God, just when (if ever) should the believer stop praying? When he remembers that a brother has “aught against” him. Yes, I know this may raise eyebrows to say that Jesus told us to stop praying, but He certainly did. That’s what we read of His very words in Matthew 5.

He instructs us not to wait for the other person to come to you. Go to them and make peace. Work things out so that neither of your relationships with God will be in any way hindered. Forgive. Seek restitution and forgiveness. The Christian life is all about relationship – vertically first and them horizontally.

Jesus is saying here: “Stop praying or doing any form of worship until you have first done all you can possibly do to make peace with that person you had strife or misunderstanding with, offended, or wounded – the person that still has aught against you, whose heart isn’t yet clear in the matter. Your prayers and any form of supposed worship will not be honored in Heaven until you take care of this matter. Since I am holy I require certain things of you and one of them is that you do your best to keep unity with others, especially My people. Remember how I told you to love one another and to treat others as you wish to be treated? I love you and want clear communion with you and am simply not going to allow you to have a clear conscience until you work things out with that other person who has aught against you. Remember that though I love you, I care about others as much as I care about you. Get that human relationship right first and then come and seek My face in worship and we shall commune.”

God forgives us through Christ’s perfect sacrifice and as we choose to give it out to others! WHO might you have aught against in your heart today beloved?

As a believer, the LORD holds me personally accountable to facilitate reconciliation and peace in others when there is a rift and no matter whose fault it is (Matt. 5:23-24).

First and foremost we must realize that when we sin it is against the One who is “holy, holy, holy” (Isa. 6:3; Rev. 4:8). After that fact, we at times sin against or offend men (James 3:1). So, when we have wrongly offended someone who is created in the image of God, we should first confess that sin to the LORD and then do whatever it takes within our power to make it right with the person.

“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. 28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.” Proverbs 3:27-28

“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:25-27

Child of God, are you aware of anyone who might be upset with you for something you have done or they thought you did? Is anyone offended at you?

This writer is no stranger to wronging people, but is learning to follow this simple truth in Matthew 5, making sure to openly and transparently facilitate healing in those I have brought hurt to or who are offended at me for any legitimate reason.

Granted, we are going to offend people at times when it is not our fault. I am not talking about that. I am talking about when it is our fault or the situation is questionable or a close call.

Have you been offended? Have you ever found yourself in a situation where someone else held the key to your closure, your healing? Think back in your life: Have you ever needed someone else’s help in getting free in your heart from something concerning a situation?

Jesus called the divine Person of the Holy Spirit “the Comforter” (Jn. 14:26; 15:26; 16:7). God is all-powerful and can help us walk through a heart-rending ordeal where another person has hurt us and is unwilling to partake of the healing process according to the Word/instructions of the LORD. This He can and will do, yet He holds that other person responsible for doing their part – “Leave there thy gift before the altar – FIRST be reconciled to thy brother.

Those made righteous by the blood of Christ are to do all in their power to facilitate healing in others.

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18

Jesus Christ came to make captives free and such freedom is the desire of all who follow Him. They desire also to see people set free and do their part when it is in the power of their hand to help (Prov. 3:27).

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

When need be, we are to work hard to make sure God’s peace abides among the saints.

“Endeavouring (working hard) to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

Endeavouring” – it’s hard work at times to keep unity in the body. Have you noticed that things happen that need attention, patience, humility, admission where wrong has been done, etc.?

It is our personal responsibility to keep schisms out of Christ’s body as much as it is in our power.

“That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

The LORD promises us that He commands His precious peace where brethren dwell together in unity.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there (in the unity of believers) the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” Psalms 133:1-3

The person who is truly born again cares for the body of Christ. Peace among the saints is where God’s blessing abides.

“We know that we have passed from death unto life (we know we are saved), BECAUSE we love the brethren.” 1 John 3:14

Without love we are nothing (1 Cor. 13). Divine love, authentically demonstrated in our lives, is the earmark fruit of the Heaven-bound disciple. There are no exceptions – “He that loveth not knoweth not God” (1 Jn. 4:8). If such charitable love does not presently appear in our lives, we should consider going before the throne of grace and making things right with God (repentance). The genuinely born again person is filled with God’s love and teachable in the precepts of the LORD. When he discovers a previously unknown (to him) truth, he swiftly hearkens and obeys. Remember, God’s eternal kingdom and the terms for entrance into it are based on the LORD’s terms and not any individual’s. Either we meet the terms and conditions or we shall be found without (Matt. 7:21-23; Lk. 6:46-49; 13:24-30; 1 Jn. 2:3-5; Rev. 2-3).

“We know that we have passed from death unto life (we know we are saved – been brought from spiritual death to spiritual life), BECAUSE we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:14-16

Child of God, do you have a key that would help another get free? If you possess the key that would assist in obtaining their freedom, the LORD holds you personally responsible to use it to help unlock that person’s heart and assist in their returning to a heart that is right with God, free from anything that hinders that relationship.

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.” Ephesians 4:26

Don’t let the sun go down upon that which you can do to cause reconciliation in Christ’s body for which He bled. Leave your prayer closet and any and all worship and go get things right with that person the LORD may be placing on your heart. You will be glad you obeyed the LORD in this.

You see, if we truly have an intimate and saving relationship with Christ, we realize that nothing could be more important to us – and others. Knowing Jesus is everything. Armed with this knowledge and moved upon by the Holy Spirit, we are to be compelled to help others in their relationship with Jesus in any way we possibly can.

PRAYER: Father in Heaven, thank You for sending Your only begotten Son Jesus to live and die for me – for all of my many sins. This moment, I turn my life to Thee O God – asking Your merciful forgiveness on my sin of departing from You. Right this instant I ask You to please be my first love LORD Jesus! Bless this heart with sensitivity and a deep conviction for Your truth. Please allow this heart to have godly conviction! Please bless this life You graciously gave lift others to You and help them in any and every way I have opportunity. I am all Yours and You are all mine my LORD. Quicken my heart in any matter that You wish me to make amends with another person. Right now I now humble myself under Your mighty hand and ask You to use me to help facilitate peace between You and others Jesus, and in Your body. Please bless Your body to live in Your love, and Your truth and in peace with You and one another. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

4 Verse KJV Comparison [podcast]

Reading a fake “bible” is like still watching CNN. Let that sink in. Fake news.

See if you have a real Bible. I love the King James Bible.  See if the BLOOD of Jesus has been removed from Colossians 1:14 in your “bible”. Also, see if Matthew 17:21 and Acts 8:37 are removed and if Romans 8:1 has been chopped in half.

IF YOU show your pastor this and he STILL refuses to ditch his satanically corrupted, Christ-attacking new version to begin using the King James Bible, RUN!

4 SILENCING VERSES – Here are the 4 verses I compare with people. There is rarely an argument when a King James and a new version are laid open and compared side by side. Watch this:

  • Matthew 17:21 removed in new versions because Satan didn’t want God’s people to know how to cast him out
  • Romans 8:1  chopped in half because Satan wants believers to believe his ‘once saved always saved’ lie
  • Colossians 1:14  “through his BLOOD” removed because the LORD Jesus is Satan’s enemy
  • 1 John 5:7  the clearest verse in the Bible on the triune nature of God all but removed because Satan didn’t want God’s people to understand the nature of the Godhead.

Take a look at these 4 verses compared and please explain why you haven’t burned Satan’s counterfeits of God’s Word ….

Oh, and Acts 8:37 is also removed from most of the fake “bibles” which leads people to believe they can be water baptized BEFORE they are saved.

“And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” Acts 8:37 KJB

CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH THIS QUESTION PLEASE: Can you explain why all these verses are missing from the fairy tale fake news “bibles” you are defending? WHAT side are you really on?

John Umlauf writes: “I have noticed how that the language used in most modern Bibles seems to be some of the weakest expressions one could ever come up with, while the King James is always bold and powerful. Why would an Almighty powerful God write a wimpy sissified book?”

John is correct: These new “bibles” read like fairy tales which is satanic mockery. Ear tickling instead of hear circumcising.

Never argue this topic, just show them. Write these verses above on a sticky and put them in your Bible. Memorize and cross-reference these references so you can be ready always to give an answer (1 Peter. 3:15).

MOST WHO EXCLUSIVELY READ THE KING JAMES BIBLE HAVE PERHAPS DONE JUST A LITTLE RESEARCH/COMPARISON WHICH LED TO SUCH A QUALITY DECISION. READING THE KJB IS NOT A MERE PREFERENCE BUT RATHER A CONVICTION BASED ON COMPARISON. ALL MOUTHS ARE SHUT WHEN VERSES ARE SIMPLY COMPARED.

No difference in the Bibles? Think again:

Luke 2:33 Compared

KJB

“And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.”

NIV

“The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.”

Read it again till it dawns on you.

IF you are wondering why so many disciples of Jesus are abandoning fake “bibles” and reading the King James Bible exclusively, wonder no more. Join the Chorus …. A tidal wave of believers are trashing Satan’s “bibles” for the real Bible! King James Bible. Here we will compare just 4 Bible verses and you will wonder no more.

If you are truly a man of God, a man of conviction and the holy fear of the LORD, it seems obvious that you will lose all respect for the corrupted “bibles” when you simply glance at a few comparisons, verse to verse. Here’s 4 verses compared ….

If you are okay with the BLOOD of Jesus being removed from Colossians 1:14 in Satan’s false “bibles,” perhaps you should seek God and consider if you are truly right with the One who shed that blood! WHY would anyone who has been washed in the precious blood of Jesus want anything to do with Christ’s enemy’s “bibles” that remove His blood?

WHAT’S the big deal with Bible versions? Compare just 4 verses and you have your answer.

Forget the original language and easy-to-read sales garbage: Use your God-given common sense and simply compare these 4 verses in our language – English! Case closed! Devil booted!

God gave us His Word in tangible/written form for a reason, not by accident because we can all be deceived (2 Timothy 3:16-17) ….. Did you know the new “bibles” removed Christ’s blood from Colossians 1:14? Did you know they removed Matthew 17:21, Acts 8:37, and chopped Romans 8:1 in half?

If God’s Word has been altered and it has, the true disciple should be convicted to look into it. Jesus placed His most severe warning with promise of eternal damnation in the lake of fire, upon any soul who dared add to or take away from His words.

Jesus says His Word “is truth” and so altering His Word will certainly distort and change the meaning (John 17:17).

If the fact that the BLOOD of Jesus is removed from Colossians 1:14 doesn’t convict someone, they are apparently not washed in the blood of Jesus without which there is no redemption, forgiveness, salvation (Hebrews 9:22).

“The Devil hates, hates, hates the King James Bible.” Tom Hames

NOT 1 DEFENDER OF SATAN’S NEW VERSION CORRUPTIONS OF GOD’S WORD Has answered these vital questions  … 1. Where did Matthew 17:21 and Acts 8:37 go in your new per-version “bible”?, 2. In YOUR Vatican new version, WHY is Romans 8:1 chopped in half?, 3. WHY was the very BLOOD of Christ removed from Colossians 1:14?, and 4. In 1 John 5:7, WHY was the clearest verse in all of God’s Word of the Triune nature of the Godhead butchered, neutered?

Seems like people who are unteachable, bent on remaining in darkness, simply walk away upon being challenged to answer these 4 simple questions. Those who fear God are greatly convicted to get the real Bible after personally witnessing this Satanic butchering of God’s Word (John 8:47).

AS IF THERE’S ANY GOSPEL WITHOUT CHRIST!!!! Note how this satanic “bible” removes Christ from His own Word – Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel…” (NIV) Now let’s read Romans 1:16 in the King James Bible: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel OF CHRIST: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) The LORD Jesus Himself is repeatedly, systematically removed from all the modern corruption “bibles” because they all come from the same few corrupted manuscripts.

Personally, I started out with the NIV (NOT inspired version) for a short time…. then compared these 5 verses and it was all over for the corrupted new versions …. Matthew 17:21; Acts 8:37, Romans 8:1; Colossians 1:14, 1 John 5:7 ….. Todd Tomasella

OKAY, please “explain” using Scripture, why this is okay in your mind ….. OR, realized you’ve been duped by the devil and get a real Bible, God’s Word, the King James Bible….. HOW can any sane person have an ounce of respect for these new versions? They have no credibility and are dirty, filthy, an attack on our LORD Jesus Christ. All who participated are going to the lake of fire as the enemies of the Almighty (Revelation 22:18-19). Where O where is the conviction, the fear of the LORD? (Psalms 97:10) There was no other English Bible needed after the King James Bible, the 7th English Bible in perfect fulfillment of the divine prophecy of Psalms 12:6-7). We only need the one real Bible and the Holy Spirit and diligent searching of His Word to be in God’s will with perfect sound doctrine. “God is not the author of confusion” and so there’s no need to read Satan’s counterfeits – at all (1 Corinthians 14:33). Personally I wonder how anyone could, with clear conscience, consult these words of Satan, these intentionally corrupt fake “bibles.”

WHY would you argue about a topic you have not researched? That is the work of a fool according to Proverbs 18:13. COMPARE FOR YOUR SELF!

—– The King James Bible is the divinely preserved Word of God for the English speaking world. See Psalms 12:6-7.

“All of these perversions are only possible because the people love to have it so (Jeremiah 5:31). No God-fearing, believing, obeying child of God would stand for the butcherment of God’s Word in the new versions. Too many people are not hearing from God because they are not listening. They are lazy and listening only to their preacher, teacher, leader, etc. On the day of judgment, ‘my preacher said’ will have no validity. Each believer is told to search the scriptures, prove all things and contend for the faith.” M.

—— The Bible versions issue is an important issue to say it lightly. From the beginning Satan has cast doubt on God’s Word – what He has stated – and it’s the epitome of gullibility to think the arch enemy of the LORD has ceased this activity. Remember how he added just one word to what God had said to the man and woman? And, that caused their fall? See Genesis 2:17; 3:4. Jesus says “Satan cometh immediately and taketh away the word.” (Mark 4:15) We are not to be “ignorant of his devices” and we learn that he continues to use the same exact tactics (2 Corinthians 2:11; 1 Corinthians 10:13). All who participate in adding to or taking away from God’s Word are guaranteed the plagues of the Book of Revelation which include eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 22:17-18).

RECENTLY I was told by a guy who I suppose believes he’s a minister, that I was “splitting hairs” by saying the NIV is demonic garbage. I promptly asked him: Can you please explain how 1. the removal of the blood of Jesus from Colossians 1:14 is permitted of God, 2. the chopping of Romans 8:1 in half is sanctioned by the LORD, and 3. and how the complete removal of Matthew 17:21 and 64,000 words was “splitting hairs” or addressing something that is not ultra important?

In light of the words of Jesus in Revelation 22:18-19, you have to wonder why there is no holy conviction in those who can crassly overlook and even defend this butchery of God’s Word. In my opinion, those who can do so are in utter spiritual darkness.

Why is the most severe warning in Scripture concerning adding to and taking away from God’s words of which Jesus says “man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word of God.” (Luke 4:4)

Testimony of true remnant, wise-virgin saint:

“Glad to say as soon as I left the Seeker Sensitive/Emergent Church The Holy Spirit prompted me to get a King James Bible. I was not sure why at the time BUT I know why now. So glad for the offense of the cross to bring me to godly sorrow that lead to repentance and a complete life and believe change from that which was heresy.” Nancy

Get to the juggler immediately: COMPARE these 4 verses and the case is closed shut for good…. the KJB is God’s Word, we needed no other, and the new versions are a demonic fraud: 1. Matt 17:21, 2. Rom. 8:1, 3. Col. 1:14, 1 John 5:7.

YOU WANT TO SHUT SOMEONE DOWN ON BIBLE VERSIONS?

Memorize these 4 references. NO need ever to argue. Silence will follow this simple, side-by-side comparison of these 4 verses. Again …

    1. Matt 17:21,
    2. Rom. 8:1,
    3. Col. 1:14,
    4. 1 John 5:7.

Sorry, but if someone sees for themselves that Satan has butchered God’s Word and stuck the words “Holy Bible” on the cover, and still has no problem with that…. such a person has no fear of God, no conviction, and is in deep darkness. Revelation 22:18-18 and Proverbs 30:5-6 anyone?

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18-19

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield (Protector) unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” Proverbs 30:5-6

MESSAGE RECEIVED:

“Your information is not correct. Research to get fact before you post something attempting to convince the readers how right you are.”

REPLY:

Not correct? COMPARE these 4 verses and the case is closed shut for good…. the KJB is God’s Word, we needed no other, and the new versions are a demonic fraud: 1. Matt 17:21, 2. Rom. 8:1, 3. Col. 1:14, 1 John 5:7. … It simply doesn’t matter how convincing your argument sounds. When compare side-by-side God’s and Satan’s versions are openly manifested!

Clara and Her Boys Blessed! Mexico Mission Rolling! [podcast]

Okay so here’s the original message concerning Clara.

Brother Vicente continues to minister to the Word of God to men I minister to and then hand them off to him and/or brother Salvador. Such was the case with a man named Florentine who received the spoken Word of God and a JESUS tract in Spanish last week. Both Salvador and Vicente are now in touch with this man and ministering God’s Word to him in his own native tongue, Spanish. Just now, tonight, brother Vicente sent me this: “I’m taking this opportunity, brother, to see if you have any work available for someone. She’s a woman looking for work from 7 AM to 2 PM, cleaning or anything else you can find. If you could get her something, please. She has three children and is a single mother. She doesn’t have a husband. Or if you, the group, could get her things to sell. She’s a young woman with very limited resources.” Vicente

Okay saints, here’s another opportunity. Please lift this dear lady in prayer and her children.

We are already helping a man who is cleaning the vehicle weekly – by paying him cash and buying him lunch once or twice weekly.

I am thinking of hiring Clara to clean the apartment weekly or every other week. This will help her with her monthly bills.

And anyone who wish to help her, just earmark your gift or email me to discuss.

In Christ

Todd

TODAY: YOU, YOUR PRAYERS AND LOVE OFFERINGS MADE CLARA’S DAY, WEEK, MONTH, AND YEAR!!!

We live in a fallen world and as is far too common this dear woman is carrying a load, burdens that God never intended her to carry (1 Timothy 5:14; 1 Peter 3:7). And you answered her plight and pain with the love of God!

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17

Clara thought she was just coming over to clean my apartment and get a few dollars. God and you had more in mind though!!!!

I will let her speak to you in her own exact words. Upon receiving the cash you sent, which is a large amount in the Mexican economy, Clara broke down uncontrollably in tears for a long while. She was literally shaking, sobbing, tears were flowing down her face. This blessing shocked her – and it’s ALL your fault! 😉 You are guilty as charged beloved of God!

“No one has ever done anything like this for me … I had nothing left to feed my children at home.” Clara

Here below is the raw version of Clara’s words of gratitude for what God did through you, your love! She was only expecting a few dollars for cleaning the apartment. Clara was stunned when I pulled YOUR wad of cash out of my pocket and handed it to her for cleaning the apartment. After she broke down and cried for a while, she spoke her words into google translate to communicate to us. Clara said ……

“Seriously, thank you so much. This means a lot to me. I’ve really struggled a lot. I’m sorry I cried, but I’m very sentimental. No one has ever done anything like this for me. Many people approach me with bad intentions, and some, knowing my need, try to take advantage of it. Tell your friends that I’m so grateful for what they’re doing for me. I’ll never tire of thanking them because, honestly, I had nothing left to feed my children at home, and this will help me buy groceries so they can eat well.

I’m not tired, to be honest. What motivates me are my children.

Without them, my life would have no meaning. I came to work with you today

because of them, and I’m leaving happy, knowing that my life will gradually

improve. Now all I want is to go back home to see my children and be able to

cook them something delicious because I know they’re waiting for me.” Clara

After she spoke of cooking for her boys, I asked Clara if we could go to the grocery store first before I took her home. We went and bought a whole, very large basket full of food. This family has food for weeks and you did it!!! You stepped up and said “Yes LORD Jesus! Thank You for this opportunity to give out of what You gave me – to bless this family in need!” Clara

“Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” Proverbs 16:19

Mission Mexico

WHILE this was all happening, one of you Christ-glorifying culprits wired $150 – the exact amount that was spent to get Clara a very large portion of groceries~! There was no plan to buy her those groceries but GOD had the plan!!!! The plan was for her to have that cash she received and a basket overflowing with food!!!!

Your giving to Christ’s work …

Makes this happen …

Real people receiving real help, real love, real touch from the body of Christ.

PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, please break me! Please crush me dear LORD. YOU are my Potter. Pour the water of Your Holy Spirit and Word upon this life You made and saved for Your glory, not mine. I love You Jesus! Let this heart be broken, contrite, and let tears flow from a poor and pure heart that hungers and thirsts after Your righteousness. In the name of my LORD Jesus, amen.
