The Pure Heart that is Established with Grace [podcast]

Praying daily for “an heart of flesh,” asking God to remove all sin, idols, and hardened stony places, is essential (Ezekiel 14:1-6).

“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” Ezekiel 36:25-27 

Only those with an heart of flesh will enter the gates of glory. There will be no hard hearts in Heaven. Sin is what hardens the heart.

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” Hebrews 3:12-15

Purity according to KJB dictionary: Free from pollution, to make clear or pure. Free from guilt, or the defilement of sin, as to purify the heart.

A Clean Heart

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10

A Searched and Cleansed Heart

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalms 139:23-24

A Pliable Heart of Flesh
