Enduring Sound Doctrine [podcast]
Enduring Sound Doctrine
Enduring “sound doctrine” Reveals that You are following Jesus, you are abiding in Christ, enduring to the end, and therefore you are not falling away… as God’s Word prophetically foretold that many would (Matthew 24:8-13; 1 Timothy 4:1-2, etc.). “Sound doctrine” reveals Christ, the perfect, permanent portrait of God!
Does rejecting, neglecting to learn and know God’s Word bring blessings or cursings on our individual lives?
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law (Word) of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
Regrettably, most men know more about sports, about the things of this fleeting world, than they do the Bible. Lack of knowledge of God’s Word, of His precious Precepts, is individually, intentionally induced ignorance. Many who falsely claim to love God and be saved also refuse to endure, hold themselves accountable to sound doctrine – across the board, as in the whole counsel of Holy Scripture (2 Timothy 2:15; 3:15-17; 4:2-5). God isn’t important enough to them to embark on a life long diligent daily study of His bless-ed precepts (Psalms 119). In other words, they have rejected Christ, are serving the god of self, and are hell bound (John 5:39-40; 8:47; Colossians 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Peter 2:2).
All who are not “valiant for the truth” prove they are God-less antichrists (Jeremiah 9:3).
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
Did you catch verse 2 above? First off, those who are enduring sound doctrine do not sit under, do not patronize nor support, do not bid Godspeed to men who aren’t authoritatively preaching the Word, the whole of it, including the hard truths of the LORD such as repentance, the crucified life (the cross), judgment, hell, losing one’s life in this world, living as a giver instead of greedy and covetous, the lake of fire, the essential of personal holiness, etc.
Biblical Fact: You will never be happy till you stop, drop down on your knees and face, in true surrender, and become a servant 24/7/365 (Luke 9:23-24; 14:33; 19:27; Philippians 2:3-5). Anyone promising happiness, fulfillment, or God’s blessings outside of the biblical cross prescription, a crucified life, is an absolute fraud. How long shall you follow lies and liars? Isn’t it time for you to repent for real, and get right with God – before He casts your wicked counterfeit soul into eternal fire?
The cross message of Christ and His holy apostles is not a novel concept, idea, or mere suggestion but rather it is a non-negotiable essential component of the original Gospel.
The reason so many don’t take sin seriously and sit under sin-justifying wolves in sheep’s clothing, is because they do not fear nor take God seriously. Then they attack the true messengers of Christ who are declaring that God is holy and He requires non-negotiably that anyone who will know and be with Him eternally cut off occasion for all sin as Jesus commanded in Mark 9:43-49 KJB…… They talk about grace but only in the respect that their sins were initially forgiven, yet never in respect to divine grace being the divine influence and enablement in their daily lives to overcome all that displeases Him – as they worshipfully with great gratitude deny self, take up the cross, follow, and abide in Jesus (Titus 2:11-14; Luke 9:23-24; John 15:1-6, etc.).
The counterfeit forsakes sound doctrine and turns to “fables.” In other words, moral cowards refuse to face the truth head on and so they turn to story-telling wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15).
You must make the decision that you are going to “endure sound doctrine.” In other words you are going to face the truth of God like a real man – in true repentance, ridding your life of all-every trace-of that which defiles you in the eyes of a holy God before whom you shall soon stand to give full account of your life, of every thought, motive, word, and deed (Mark 9:43-49).
Do you turn TO or FROM sound doctrine – the doctrines of the original Gospel given us by Christ and His holy apostles and on record for all in the Bible? Including that you must lay down your life in crucifixion, to deny the self-life, take up the cross daily, and follow Jesus (Matthew 10:38-39; Luke 9:23-24; Romans 6; Galatians 2:20; 6:14, etc.).
When one evades the message of the cross, He is entertaining the spirit of antichrist and migrates to the “MANY false prophets” Jesus and His apostles foretold would come in this last hour and “deceive MANY” (Matthew 24:11; 1 John 4:1-3).
First, let us recognize that most claiming to be representatives of Christ today never mention the cross and when they do, it’s partial at best and brief. Yet, there’s no other way to follow Jesus than the way He plainly prescribed – “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it” (Luke 9:23-24).
“Whatever keeps me from my Bible is my enemy, however harmless it may appear to be.” AW Tozer
Beware of the “don’t put God in a box” deceivers. It’s a bunch of witchcraft. Anyone who uses the “put God in a box” deception, is simply looking to define Him anyway THEY wish, outside of what His Word clearly states. They are moral cowards who do not fear the LORD and are full of self while they use His holy name in vain by putting His name on things that violate the final divine authority of His Word.
If something pretends or is said to be of God and yet isn’t aligned with God’s Word, it’s to be rejected. While God’s Word reveals that He speaks to His people at times by way of dreams, visions, prophecy, etc., the written Word is the primary way He leads His sheep and New Testament church. The written Word is “the MORE sure word of prophecy.” He said it’s more sure, more divinely authenticated than the literal audible voice of God speaking (2 Peter 1:12-21).
ANY person who looks to people like Dr FILL, any of the NAR devils, any Word of Faith fraud, or any other mere mortal, for life advice, needs to repent and get saved. When you do, God’s WORD will be the final divine authority of your life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The LORD defines Himself in His Word, period. Anyone teaching outside of His Word or contrary to it, is making a god in their own corrupt sinful image.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Are you in God’s Word daily, or have you backslidden?
Anyone not seeking God daily has Him as a mere hobby, has rejected Christ (Luke 9:23-24; Revelation 2:4-5; 3:15-16).
“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” Galatians 4:16
The last thing we need is just another wolf spewing out more watered down, fake “bible” ear-tickling speculations and musings all in the name but not in the truth of Jesus Christ.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
False prophets ….. isn’t that nearly all we have in the modern church world?
The LORD has and is calling out a remnant people who refuse to cower or compromise His holy truth. They have prayed for His holy fear to fill their bowels and their consciences are captive to and heart constitutions made out of His pure Word.
The day we cease preaching the full and whole counsel of God – Genesis to Revelation – will be the day you, beloved of God, should depart from us. If we or even an angel from Heaven (not hell) preach anything different from or lacking the contents of the original Gospel, recorded in Holy Writ, “let him be accursed.”
Any person not endeavoring to preach the whole counsel of the original Gospel of Christ is perpetrating “another gospel” which is a false gospel and is “accursed.”
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:6-10
The true disciple of Jesus is “valiant for the truth” (Jeremiah 9:3). He’s an ardent, a diligent, prayerfully meticulous student of Holy Scripture, clinging unflinchingly to the truth of God, declaring with the apostle Paul “Let God be true and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4).
God’s Word is largely made up of hard sayings and yet, most ministry today simply extracts, siphons out His promises intentionally leaving out the divine conditions in order to tickle the ears of their prey and build their own ministry name, earthly kingdom.
EXAMPLE OF MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Don’t you think that your topics are too harsh?”
REPLY:
The important, the correct question is “Are these topics, is the content of this site BIBLICAL?”
As I look at this mix…. It simply communicates how this outreach is unique…. Not ear tickling.
At the time of receiving this latest email of this type, here is a screen shot of the latest posts. Take a look, then we’ll talk about it.
“Preach the Word”
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:1-4
If those “not valiant for the truth” are not offended, we are not preaching the truth (Jeremiah 9:3). Truth is only hate speech to those who hate truth. Men-pleasers tickle ears for their own self-serving agenda. True disciples speak the naked, raw Bible truth relentlessly – “in season, out of season.”
The goal here is never to see how many we can please or draw in…. no. God is reaching for His REMNANT which is a “LITTLE flock” (Luke 12:32).
Most who claim to be Christians are not of the cross-bearing remnant (Is. 37:31).
There’s nothing in this world, on this earth, that will be glamorous in following Jesus. Christ’s disciples are not celebrities but rather His servants. Yet the glam of God is coming to all, to every born again disciple who follows Jesus on His stated terms – to the end (Matthew 10; 24; 1 Corinthians 2:9; Revelation 21). Are you the devil’s dupe that is forfeiting the divine dividends coming to His true saints, His “little flock”? See Luke 12:32.
Enduring sound doctrine is a choice.
“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:26
God is calling His remnant to sharp, fiery, deeper content, not the typical shallow, surface level, ear-tickling allurements being falsely presented as being Christian.
“For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.” 2 Peter 2:18
Paul was concerned that the believers at Colosse would be seduced, enticed into falsehoods which are usually perpetrated by ear-tickling wolves.
“And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. … Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:4,8
Wolves entertain goats.
True disciples of Jesus feed His sheep.
We know who the true sheep are by their enduring of sound doctrine. To “endure” means to “hold oneself personally accountable to” (2 Timothy 4:2-4).
The height of delusionment….
To those who ignore the truths of the Gospel their fake pastor intentionally ignores and refuses to preach… Yet they still think they’re going to be with the One who spoke those truths, those conditions…. Hell awaits. Repent now.
The Remnant of Christ’s Elect are Gluttons for the Truth
Here’s the latest messages sent to the ministry by those who frequent this ministry site….. this is a sampling of the voice of the remnant:
“Love the book ‘I die daily‘ and podcasts. It’s very powerful praise God! It’s very thorny meaning it cuts, pierces, and punches but that’s the only way to grow. Jesus took my strength, my $, my work, my pride, and showed me not only am I nothing without Him, but that those things were above Him in my life. They were gods in my life above Jesus, Brother. And I didn’t even know it! Pain equals change I’m finding. God is good. I’m fed, my bills are being paid, and I’m out of work. God is good. Don’t get me wrong, I’m broke with little margin of error but I’m super blessed! Jesus has stressed upon me that we are running out of time, to get this right. So it’s now or never and to not just myself only but to help love and feed others for what’s about to come. Judgment Brother! Keep going ! Our King He is COMING !” Derek
“I praise God for your life brother Todd. Really appreciate your podcasts. It has help me on my Bible studies. Thank you brother. May God continue to bless you abundantly!” Marcus
“Hello Brother Todd. I’m daily reading the book you gave me ‘I die daily’ and listen to a daily podcast. It’s helping me and a huge challenge I need daily. I am thankful for Jesus and you and your family and team! God put me on the sidelines with this freak injury for a few reasons and its very humbling but I’m learning with all this free time now. When I send my offering to ”safe guard your soul ministry” I send a gospel tract so you can read it and give it too someone. I thank God for this ministry and its very important that it continues. It is making a huge impact especially where we are at in history. With what little time that is left as we know it here on earth! Don’t ever quit, Keep going! Praise God. ” Derek
“That’s why I call on you Todd. You know right where scriptures are. I remember listening to your radio program years ago. I never heard anyone give so many scriptures like you. Thank you for being here. Back then, I had to work then and get up at 4AM. I needed to go to bed earlier, but the program was so good.” Sharon
“You are a spiritual father I never had. My gratitude to you cannot be worded. Your ministry has to keep going, and if I can help, I will. After reading ‘Authentic: Disciple of Jesus‘, which is a superb book, I knew I had to get more of your work. People praying for me? I can’t believe it.” Jay
“Amen! The Cross life changes everything! Praise Jesus our only hope.” Derek
“I want to start on living as a Christ Crucified and Sanctified life. Any help or lessons would be greatly appreciated Brother Todd. I already have a copy of Jimmy Swaggart’s King James Expositor’s Study Bible.” Brother Charles. and Chastity Pray
“I just received the books last night and wanted to share the joy of confirmation that arose in my heart when I opened to the introduction of ‘Raised Up‘ and found the very scripture that I prayed throughout 2020 and became my eulogy. Ps.86:10-13 And yes, as you told whomever it was that wrote you about the title ‘I Die Daily,’ the ‘healing’ is the resurrection. Christ instruction to me: Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. Prov. 9:4-6 Thank you brother for being obedient to the Lord of our salvation, I expect to find much treasure to help in my cross-walk in reading your books. May God continue to bless you and anoint you to die daily with Christ.” Jon
“Thank you brother … it was humbling and makes me want to get closer to God. I cherish this ministry and believe the hand of God is on it. Jesus is wonderful and I am blessed even in affliction He is so good to me. He spanks those He loves I got to remember that. Keep going brother!” Derek
“Brother Todd. I had a phone call the 28th of this month. The message said I need to talk to you please call me back. I called and the man answered and said I am calling about your program. He was saying that he cried all the way through it. I have a ladies ministry and that’s where he heard it. He told me he was a bad person in his life and wanted to learn how to be a Christian. I shared the Gospel with him from the back of the I Die Daily book and he has prayed with me to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He asked me what to do with his drugs and I said get rid of them. He flushed them down the toilet with me on the phone. He is overjoyed! I am so humbled and blessed the Lord led him to call me. Thank you for being so obedient to the Lord and sharing the true gospel so I could learn how to share it with him. He has called me for the past 2 days and he is excited about the Lord. I cannot say how thankful I am to have helped this man find our Lord! I bought him a Bible and a Bible cover, some pens, pencils highlighters and a prayer journal. Proverbs 11:30.” Dana
“I read Matthew 10 this morning. Powerful gospel truth! I can definitely relate to this one I’m rejoicing at the rejection as Jesus said you will be hated by all nations for my name sake . We call him Savior for a reason. Thank you Todd for all you do for the Kingdom of Heaven your definitely a blessing to our family. We love you Brother.” Cassandra
“Again, WOW, little by little things become more clear. I am now realizing that it seems everything we experience here on this earth is explained in that Holy book. I am so blessed that God put me in contact with you Brother, I thank you for your faith and guidance as I come closer to Jesus daily. I am already looking forward to speaking with you this coming week. Love you Brother,” Jeremy
“Praise God for this ministry. Keep going, you are in the will of God and we need this fear of God daily!” Derek
Remaining in “the Doctrine of Christ”
Enduring to the end, and continuing in sound doctrine!
“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” 2 John 7-11
Christ taught that these sins He named defile a man…. which plainly means they are not in right standing with God and hell bound unless they repent before it’s too late.
Not believing God’s Word means one is not a Christian (Matthew 7:16, 20; 2 Timothy 3:10, etc.). No such thing as a Christian who does not agree with God’s Word (John 8:47). Every person who dies as a fornicator, liar, adulterer, idolator, covetous, greedy, worldly, murderer, etc., is going to hell irrevocably (Mark 7:20-23; Galatians 5:19-21; Revelation 21:8, 27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 John 2:15, etc.).
Any person who rebels against the teachings of the LORD, does not know the Author of the Bible and is a rebel in need of repentance before it’s too late. Read John 8:47 closely. What did Jesus say? What did the Son of God separate between?
PRAYER: Holy Father, I come to You now in Jesus’ Name. Please circumcise my heart. Cut away all the evil, the fat, the compromise, and please make me to be Thy humble, honest, sincere, authentic servant. Unite my heart to fear Thy name, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“They that are Christ’s” [podcast]
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Galatians 5:24
We “fight” by dying and not by rising up:
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Timothy 6:12).
When we die downward, Christ, who is “the resurrection and the life” raises our lives upward, in His infinite divine power to glorify Him (John 11:25). This is exactly how our LORD Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave!
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” Hebrews 2:14
You may be wondering why you haven’t overcome sin. Here’s how to overcome sin – and beware of those not preaching this cross! (Luke 9:23-24; Romans 6; 1 Corinthians 2:2; Galatians 2:20; 5:34, etc.).
“He that is dead (crucified with Christ) is freed from sin.” Romans 6:7
Read that again!
No one is “freed from sin” until they are “dead” – crucified with Christ.
The truly God-fearing man realizes his utter need for the grace of Christ. He realizes that he must continue, to abide in Christ, to “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Timothy 6:12). He views salvation as a present reality and responsibility—to remain in an intimate, abiding relationship with Christ (John 15:1-16); Colossians 2:6-7).
Those who don’t walk in the cross lifestyle, will revert to type— sinful type.
The authentic disciple builds his whole life around the Bible, the cross and the throne of God (Jeremiah 17:12; Hebrews 4:14-16).
WHEN our love for God is supreme, we will daily seek Him.
When we are hungering and thirsting after His righteousness, He is filling us with His overcoming, victorious grace (Matthew 5:6).
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 1 Corinthians 9:27
WHATEVER you do, never get away from the cross message – the crucified life Jesus calls every one who will be His to.
Many fancy their devotion to very intelligent men in ministry and yet, only God knows what’s in their hearts. Having mega intellectual knowledge, understanding and the ability to articulate, in no way means a man is crucified with Christ. And if he’s not “crucified with Christ” he’s not overcoming sin – which means he’s living in sin.
“He that is dead (crucified with Christ) is freed from sin.” Romans 6:7

The LORD Desires to Completely CLEAR You!
The LORD Desires to Completely CLEAR You!
The reason God gave His only begotten Son was to clear you of all your sin in His regeneration, to bring you into His eternal family for fellowship with Him.
“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 17:21
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3
When God clears a man at the moment of salvation or thereafter, so should we! When any man truly repents there will be definite fruit to prove it. When one obeys sound biblical doctrine the result will always be that he will bring forth fruit to demonstrate he truly repented, and is cleared by the LORD and must be cleared by us. After the fornicator in the church of Corinth repented, he was cleared and the LORD, through Paul, instructed the believers in that assembly to forgive, clear, and love him.
“So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.” 2 Corinthians 2:7-8
Remember this from the prodigal son parable our LORD taught us?
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance … 10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:7, 10
When someone returns to the LORD from sin, regardless of their past, with or without Christ, there is great celebration in Heaven and should be also among the saints of Christ on the earth.
A fresh reading of Luke 15 is highly recommended where Jesus gives us 3 parables to teach the restorative love of God!
WATCH THIS: When we repent we openly renounce and are clear…. God is good.
Godly Sorrow brings the blessings of God and a clearing of past sin.
“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what CLEARING OF YOURSELVES, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be CLEAR in this matter.” 2 Corinthians 7:11
Example: Remember how the fornicator in 1 Corinthians 5 was turned over to Satan and then repented and God cleared Him? Read 2 Corinthians 2 for the “CLEARING.” In this verse above, Paul is addressing this very issue and the sorrow, diligent obedience, and consequent “CLEARING” the Corinthian saints experienced. First they allowed the fornicator to function in their midst whereas Paul had to come in and instruct them to turn the transgressor over to Satan (1 Corinthians 5). Then, as a result, the backslider repented.
“He says, what clearing of yourselves. This does not mean that they tried to justify or excuse themselves, but rather that by taking resolute action, they tried to clear themselves of any further guilt or blame in the matter. Their change in attitude led to this change in action. What indignation may refer to their attitude toward the sinner because of the reproach he brought on the name of Christ. But more probably it refers to their attitude toward themselves for ever having allowed such a thing to go on for so long without taking action on it. Paul then adds: In all things you ‘ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.’ Of course, we are not to understand by this that they were never to blame, but simply that they had done everything they could to take the proper action and to act as they should have acted in the first place.” William MacDonald, Believer’s Bible Commentary
“Clearing of yourselves – From either sharing in, or approving of, his sin. Indignation – That ye had not immediately corrected the offender. Fear – Of God’s displeasure, or lest I should come with a rod. Vehement desire – To see me again. Zeal – For the glory of God, and the soul of that sinner. Yea, revenge – Ye took a kind of holy revenge upon yourselves, being scarce able to forgive yourselves. In all things ye – As a church. Have approved yourselves to be pure – That is, free from blame, since ye received my letter.” John Wesley
“In all things, etc. – In the whole of your conduct in this affair since ye have received my letter, ye have approved yourselves to be clear, ἁγνους; not only to be clear of contumacy and obstinate persistence in your former conduct, but to have done all in the compass of your power to rectify the abuses which had crept in among you. The Corinthians were not clear, i.e. innocent or void of blame in the fact, but they were clear of all blame in their endeavors to remove the evil.” Adam Clarke
The Corinthian saints repented, obeyed God by turning the unrepentant sinner in their midst over to Satan, and were then forgiven and cleared of their sin of allowing the un-repentant fornicator to remain in their company (1 Corinthians 5; 2 Corinthians 2 and 7).
Today, is the LORD showing you something in your life that you must turn back over to Satan where it came from – to rid your heart, your life of a sin?
Interestingly, this 2 Corinthians 7 chapter begins with this:
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1
When we simply agree with the LORD, His Word, and turn to Him afresh and away from what He calls sin, confessing it to Him for what it is, He will immediately forgive us and promises to grant us a clearing, a clear conscience.
“Now the end (chief purpose) of the commandment (written Word) is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:” 1 Timothy 1:5
The LORD made it clear that He intends for His children to be possessed with a clear conscience which is a gift He alone provided through the perfect sacrifice of His only begotten Son.
“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:14
“A disciplined conscience is a man’s best friend. It may not be his most amiable, but it is his most faithful monitor.” Austin Phelps
Have you ever had a past sin nag you for many years after you committed and even confessed and were forgiven for it?
WHEN we DO what is right, then and only then do we have the bless-ed confirmation of a clear conscience. AND, doing what’s right begins with re-turning, turning afresh to our LORD and confessing all sin.
“God is greater than our heart”
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.” 1 John 3:18-21
In fellowshipping with other men who serve our LORD, I’ve often heard them say how that sins they committed in the past still bother them in a hindering way. Yet, we know that God knows all these things and “is greater than our heart” and provided a complete salvation through the blood of His only begotten Son!
“WHEN HE HAD BY HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Hebrews 1:3
Even though 90% of today’s pastors prove themselves to be false by never mentioning this, we must never ever lose sight of the truth that God is “Holy, holy, holy” and He commands us to “Be ye holy; for I am holy” (Isaiah 6:3; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Revelation 4:8).
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16
Are we presently allowing sin in our own lives, including keeping company with someone who claims to be Christ’s and yet is living in sin? Are you in need of doing an inventory check on your current friends – namely those who name Jesus as their Savior? Read this unchanging divine truth and note the many specific sins listed here:
“I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.” 1 Corinthians 5:9-13
When we truly repent and obey the counsel, the Word of God, only then will we be cleared in conscience and before God and His people. True repentance always, without exception, brings forth a changed life – a life set apart to the LORD (Matthew 3:7-10; Luke 19:1-10).
The fact that our LORD is correcting us today clearly proves how much He loves us. When the LORD points out our sin, it’s because He loves us, He wants us to repent, to return to Him, agree with Him, and depart from that sin. This is all so He can clear us!
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” Revelation 3:19
Refreshing Always Follows Fresh Repentance
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19
“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 8:12
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Read 1 Corinthians 5, 2 Corinthians 2 and 7.
Yes, we’ve all been hurt by others and we have also hurt others, right? Let’s take accountability for our own evil and watch what God does. Blaming others without taking the blame due to us is a deep, endless ditch.
This morning I prayed “LORD, if I have angered or hurt someone, anyone, please let it be revealed so that amends can be made, in Jesus’ name, amen Father.”
In this passage below, our LORD is addressing being easily angered as well as making amends when we intentionally or unintentionally have harmed another.
“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly…” Matthew 5:22-25
PRAYER: My Father in Heaven, I come to You now on the sole basis of the holy name and blood of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Here and now I ask You LORD to convict, grant repentance, and complete clearing of any and all sin in my life. Please sanctify my life dear LORD. LORD Jesus thank You for dying on that cross, shedding Your precious blood for all my sins. Please bless me with a oneness with You and the Father and a clear conscience. Be glorified in my life dear LORD. I love You LORD Jesus. Amen.

Resurrection Grace (below)
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.” Colossians 3:1-7
Those who teach that unholy people will be in glory are false teachers:
“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 21:27
Charles Pray writes: “Father, please help us Lord to turn from our wicked ways and let You come into our hearts so we may have eternal life with You in Your kingdom. Time is running out for the hour is late when soon no one will be able to be saved or able to call upon the name of the Lord. Burden our hearts Lord for all those who still do not know you as Lord and Savior in their lives. Let us become the light we are called to be in this darkened world so others will come to know and receive your Son Jesus as Savior in their life. Amen!”
