The importance of a poor and contrite disposition in the life of Christ’s saints! (Psalms 34:18; 51:17; Matthew 5:3)

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us”

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,” Ephesians 2:1-4

God’s people in the earth today are first recipients and thereafter are they messengers of His mercy!

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19

  • Repent
  • be converted
  • that your sins may be blotted out
  • the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord

We are to preach “repentance” and also “remission of sins.”

“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47

A Prepared Vessel

LORD, please make me a vessel unto honor!

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21

Many doing ministry today are heavy on the performance and yet light on the preparation.

Jesus was in prep for 30 years to perform a 3.5 year ministry. Today we want to prepare for a brief time for decades of ministry. Not God’s way.

“Yes Jesus! Prepare me to be a sanitary, holy, sanctified, cleansed and purified! Breaking and stripping anything out of me that is not of you! There is no other way to become a vessel of honour fit for the Master’s use!” Karen Cochran

YOUR PRAYER: Father, please make my life count for You! Please use me as a messenger of Your great love and rich mercy toward all men. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
