Have You Ever Wondered How Bad Things Can Possibly be God’s Will?

First and foremost, we must acknowledge the paramount divine truth that we were made to know the LORD who made us. This is key to knowing His will and that we are in it!

HAVE we lost site of the reason for our whole existence? Jesus tells us that the chief divine purpose for His coming was that we might know Him and the Father – John 17:3. That’s was Paul’s whole pursuit (Philippians 3:10).

All things that happen to us are not good, but God uses all things both good and bad for His glory and our good. Listen closely to this Scripture passage:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:28-29

Notice in the above passage that the LORD didn’t tell us that all thing are good. No, but it did tell us that God uses all things that happen for His glory and our good. And in verse 29, He reveals that His will is that we “be conformed to the image of his Son.” This speaks of the crucified life where Jesus is reigning in our lives. This is symbolized when we are water baptized – We go down into death and burial and Christ raises us up.

The LORD predestines all He saves to be “conformed to the image of his Son.”

Knowing the will of God and the comfort and assurance it brings is a priceless heavenly gift available to every disciple of Jesus. Nothing short of sheer and consistent obedience will bring such blessings (1 John 3:19-22).

Great peace have they which love thy law (Word): and nothing shall offend them.” Psalms 119:165

You cannot possibly know the will of God until you know the WORD of God.

Inner peace is only available to those who love and therefore diligently study God’s Word.

The LORD is Perfecting, Maturing Those He’s Saved

“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” ~ Psalms 138:8

Certainly the LORD didn’t save us from sin and into His glorious kingdom to leave us as we are, right?

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

How is the LORD’s sanctification process going in your life? Are you submitted and given over to Him today?

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Humbling Yourself – Presenting Your Body as a Living Sacrifice

In James 4 we read:

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:6-10

It’s always best to simply submit to Jesus, to lay down our lives, and allow Him to lead, guide, and provide.

Once Jesus saves you, the believer will find it futile to look anywhere outside of His perfect will. Once Jesus saves you, being outside of God’s will is going to be a miserable existence. Always remember your LORD’s command found in Romans chapter 12 verses 1 and 2:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

Being Led by the Holy Spirit

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

Beware of those who claim to be led by the Spirit of God while contradicting His written Word. His written Word is His unchanging truth and our safety.

We hear God’s voice perfectly every time we read His words in the Bible. KJB

If you will diligently embark on knowing and obeying God’s Word, you will know and walk in His will.

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere (pure) milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter 2:2

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

To walk in God’s Word is to walk in His Holy Spirit.

To walk in the Spirit is to walk in God’s will, God’s Word.

We are to “walk in the Spirit” and not in the flesh:

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:14-24 | Soul Damning Sins

God’s Word is God’s Will

If you are not diligently seeking the LORD you will not know Him nor His will.

The LORD will never ever contradict what He has stated in His Word. He will always lead us in according to His written Word.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105

The LORD has Revealed His Very Heart in His Word

“The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.” Psalms 33:11

In the past, before Jesus found and saved us from sin and into His kingdom, we walked in darkness.

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” Ephesians 5:8-21

It Takes a Whole Bible to Make a Whole Disciple

GOD gave you His Word – the Bible – and you are personal responsible to know it and Him. He expects you to seek Him. It’s time to look directly to the One who died on the cross for your sins – and stop looking to mere men, pastors, most of whom are deceivers and will not give you the naked truth of God’s Word! Repentance

You don’t “try” to serve Jesus! No, you either obey him by repenting and laying down your life or you are not serving him. knowing and serving Christ is a deliberate choice. choosing not to obey Jesus is the rebellious act of rejecting him! Jesus says: “He that is not with me is against me.” (Matthew 12:30)

Always remember that is take A WHOLE BIBLE to make a whole Christian – the King James Bible.

Jesus teaches us that after He saves us, we must “abide” (remain, continue) in an intimate relationship with Him to the end of our lives. Abiding in Christ

Your Prayer: Father, in Jesus’ holy name, I thank You for finding me in my sin and forgiving and saving me into Your eternal kingdom. I love You Jesus! I ask You now to truly separate, to sanctify my life, my whole being in this world for Your eternal glory. I am all Yours and You are all mine. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit LORD. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Oneness Godhead

Beware of oneness modalism error.

What is modalism?

“Modalism is an ancient Christian heresy that claims God is a single person who manifests in three different “modes” or “masks” (as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), rather than eternally existing as three distinct, co-existing persons.”

Was the apostle John combatting this error? Seems so, in 1 John (1 John 2:23; 5:7-8).

One writer notes:

“I have heard that modalism is the belief that God enters different modes for different occasions or puts on different masks, but He can only act as one person at a time. I don’t understand where this idea comes from? If He is God, He can do whatever he wants. He can surely manifest Himself as 3 different Persons at a time, which would solve Jesus baptism.”

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that JESUS also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22  And the HOLY GHOST descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven (the FATHER), which said, Thou art my beloved SON; in thee I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22

“The Father, Word/Son, and Holy Ghost are all have distinct personalities and they are all described as ‘He.'” Stacy Strother

“Godhead” appears 3 times in God’s Word.

The Bible is clear – there is a “Godhead” and it consists of “ the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

Personally, I don’t use the word “trinity.” It is not a Bible word. “Godhead” is a Bible word, appearing 3 times (Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9). “Triune Godhead”? – “there are THREE that bear record in heaven.” “Three” members of the one “Godhead”? Isn’t that what we read?

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD (Jesus), and the HOLY GHOST: and these THREE are ONE.” 1 John 5:7

“1 John 5:7: There are three that bear record – The Father, who bears testimony to his Son; the Word or Λογος, Logos, who bears testimony to the Father; and the Holy Ghost, which bears testimony to the Father and the Son. And these three are one in essence, and agree in the one testimony, that Jesus came to die for, and give life to, the world.” Adam Clarke

“[three are one] The only sense three can be one is in unity, as is clear in Jhn_17:11, Jhn_17:21-23. See other scriptural uses of the word one (Gen_2:24; Gen_11:6; 1Co_3:6-8; 1Co_12:13; Eph_2:14; Heb_2:11). Three persons cannot be one person in number in any sense, but the three can be one in unity.” Dake

The “Godhead” – Father, Son, and Holy Ghost – were integrally involved in the redemption of fallen mankind.

“For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” Colossians 2:9

“2:9 It is marvelous to see how the Apostle Paul constantly brings his readers back to the Person of Christ. Here he gives one of the most sublime and unmistakable verses in the Bible on the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Note the intended accumulation of evidence as to the fact that Christ is God. First of all, you have His deity: “For in Him dwells … the Godhead bodily.” Secondly, you have what someone has called the amplitude of deity: “For in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Finally, you have what has been called the absolute completeness of deity: “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” (This is an effective answer to the various forms of Gnosticism that deny the deity of the Lord Jesus—Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Unity, Theosophy, Christadelphianism, etc.)” Believer’s Bible Commentary

“Christ is the personal and bodily manifestation of all the fullness of Deity. He was God incarnate and the manifestation of all the fullness of God’s power and blessings to men (Isa_7:14; Isa_9:6; Mat_1:18-25; Luk_1:34-35). The fullness of the Holy Spirit rested upon Him and worked through His body (Isa_11:2; Isa_42:1-7; Isa_61:1-2; Jhn_3:34; Act_10:38). The fullness of redemption from the Deity came through His body (1Pe_2:24). This is why we become complete in Him and why He is the head of all principality and power (Col_2:10; Col_1:16-18; Eph_1:20-23; Php_2:9-11; 1Pe_3:22).” Dake

Chosen of the FATHER. Redeemed by the SON. Sealed with the HOLY SPIRIT.

Ephesians 1 informs us that we are “chosen” of the FATHER (v3-4), redeemed by the SON (v7), and sealed by the “HOLY SPIRIT” (v13). Yet some deny the Godhead, a word appearing 3 times in Scripture (Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9).

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLY GHOST: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7

The Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Holy Ghost. IF the “Word” is the “Father” and the “Holy Spirit” is the Father or the Son…. WHY O WHY did God give them 3 distinct names? WHY are there 3 distinct names of the Godhead if there aren’t 3 distinct members of the Godhead?

Jesus says: “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30) COUNT the number of Persons in the above verse. 2 and there’s the Holy Ghost. WHO spoke from Heaven when Jesus was being baptized? The Father. Then the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. “Godhead” if the Bible word. “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22).

Warning: Dare we be found liars in the eyes of God for denying either the Father or the Son? Are oneness heretics “antichrist”? Let’s see…

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father AND the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” 1 John 2:23

“How can one god be made up of three persons? Sounds confusing.”

This question alone proves that whoever thinks, whoever asks this question is operating out of a carnal mind, is not spiritually minded… to believe THEY can somehow figure out, wholly understand the infinite Almighty God. Instead, the true disciple must go only by what is in Scripture and not take away or add to it using mere human reasoning.

1 Cor 2
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1Co 2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Co 2:11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Co 2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1Co 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Jason Frost writes:

“Modalism, Oneness, Sabellianism, Monarchian modalism, and Patripassianism is heresy. It’s so unbiblical and foundationally dangerous. It’s a salvational issue. I cannot stress how serious this is and why it saddens me to see so many deceived by this heresy. Why are we seeing distinctions between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit if they are Jesus merely changing modes? (modalism) It’s insanity and heretical lies.

Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus never changes and that includes modes aka modalism.
Hebrews 1:5 tells us that Jesus was begotten by His Father. Did He beget Himself?
2. In Matthew 22:44, the Father said Jesus would sit at His right hand until His enemies were made His footstool. Was Jesus to sit at His own right hand?
3. In Matthew 24:36, when Jesus told His disciples that no one knows the day or hour of His return but the Father only, did He really know but made up an excuse to not tell them?
4. In John 14:28, Jesus said His Father was greater than He was. Does this mean He was greater than Himself?
5. In John 17:1, Jesus prayed to His Father. Was He praying to Himself?
6. In Matthew 27:46, Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” Had He forsaken Himself?
7. In John 20:17, Jesus said He would ascend to the Father after His resurrection. Did He ascend to Himself?
These and many other biblical passages demonstrate to a rational Bible reader that the modalism teaching is not only unbiblical, but also utterly illogical!”

Is this not sticking to the Bible, the Word?

Beware of the undo, the undue reaction to the word “trinity” which is used only here in this sentence. Your reaction to that word doesn’t change the Bible. Get over it.

The word “Godhead” appears how many time in the Bible?
Count:

Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the GODHEAD is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD; so that they are without excuse:
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the GODHEAD bodily.

3.

Please count with me:

“For there are THREE that bear record in heaven, THE FATHER, THE WORD (Jesus Christ!), and THE HOLY GHOST: and these THREE are ONE.” 1 John 5:7

This is ALL Bible.

“Let USSSS (plural) make man in our image” Genesis 1:26

“The Father and the Son”

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father ANDDDDD the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” 1 John 2:22-23

WHO came and died for us? The Father, The WORD/Son, or the Holy Ghost.

The oneness heretics have the spirit of antichrist which wants to deny the only Savior and that’s the SON.

1 Timothy 3:16 – “GOD was manifest in the flesh”, it was the WORD who became flesh, not the Father or the Holy Ghost.

To deny the SON is to deny salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12, etc.). WHO came in the flesh and died on the cross for our sins? Who? Was it the Father, Son, or Holy Ghost? 1 Timothy 3:16

Beware of the cult of oneness and modalism.

“my Father hath taught me” John 8:28

Why would one Person speak of teaching Himself while identifying TWO Persons?

Why would there be, why would there exist the name of the Father, the Word/Son, and the Holy Ghost throughout Holy Writ if they were all one Person? The fact that the Bible uses the word “Godhead” speaks of plurality.

How many divine Members of the Godhead are named here? – “For there are THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (in unison).” 1 John 5:7 (KJB)

What does Deuteronomy 29:29 say?

WHY did Jesus command that we water baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? Matthew 28:18-20
