DO YOU WANT GOD’S BLESSING ON YOUR LIFE? [podcast]

“Powerful podcast! Amazing to think at the very moment of conception God breathed life into us!! My little finite mind can’t comprehend that He loves us this much!” Karen Cochran | At the Moment of Conception

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men … 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” John 1:4, 9

WHY Did Jesus Give His Life for Us?

God sent His Son to bless us.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.” Acts 3:26

God sent His Son to give us eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God gives us the choice to serve or reject Him.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

God desires us to receive and walk in His life.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” Deuteronomy 30:19

Are you truly saved by God’s grace? Do you possess the proof?

How do we know if we are truly saved by the grace of God? What does the saving grace of God truly look like in the lives of those who are saved, possessed with it?

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:11-14

Complete cleansing of all sin, all uncleanness.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1

Choosing to love God supremely.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39

The Fruit of Truly being Known of God

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” Luke 9:23-24

God is bringing consistency to our “mind of Christ” walk. Which means that as Christ’s crucified disciple you are loving God and others supremely as you lay self aside, as you deny self, take up the cross daily and follow Jesus.

Such must be enforced, and it will be in the lives of the true remnant of Christ.

“But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:” 2 Corinthians 1:9

YOU alone can make the executive decision for your life – to sentence your flesh, the evil carnal mind and man to death.

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 1 Corinthians 9:27

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3

The only way UP is DOWN in Christ’s kingdom. The cross.

There is no shortcut.

When you begin crying “LORD ‘YOU must increase, but I must decrease,’”  at that instant your life is going to change for the better, for God’s glory.

God only raises upward those who are bowed down in death and burial, utter humility, broken.

Faithing your way forward! Memorize Hebrews 11:6. Pray Luke 17:5. God honors faith, always, everywhere, and for everyone who calls upon Him. Stopping your life now, looking upward to your Maker, asking Him to do that fresh work in your heart – to change your life for His glory from this instant forward, and …. telling Him with the lips He gave You, “LORD Jesus, I love You…. I love You dear LORD.”

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7

Trusting the LORD with all your heart means saying “Jesus, I’ve tried it my way. My sin has made and left me sad. Nothing has worked. I am hopelessly lost without You LORD. At this very moment, please take this life and make it what You ordained it to be – crucified and conformed to the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Now, do you desire God to use you? Sing, pray it with your own mouth beloved…. “Jesus, I want to be more like You. I want to be a vessel You work through. I want to be more like You….”

“I am asking God everyday to purify my heart and make me whole. He is certainly doing a mighty work. But sometimes I wonder if He hears me. He showed me that He died for me, meaning ME. I have known this as fact but He made it real in my heart. It was not just words on a page. The Lord Jesus took it from my mind and deposited it right into my heart! I was so filled with love for Him I had to share it.” Karen Cochran

Memorize and meditate daily upon the words of our LORD Jesus:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

With the blessing comes the responsibility.

“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” 1 Corinthians 4:7

Many times we see people gloat over their blessings, never stopping to realize that they are responsible to use those blessings for God’s glory – for the glory of the One from whom those blessings came.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17
