Glorious Savior:
The Great Intercessor

People, brothers in Christ confess their sins, their shortfalls, their faults to me often…. Yes those are sins per the Bible and yet, the mercy of God in Christ’s perfect sacrifice is greater than all our sin. This salvific truth is never so clear than when our LORD stated on the cross that “It is finished” and in the glorious book of Hebrews (John 19:30). His blood speaks in Heaven for us at the right hand of the Father!!!! YESSSSS JESUS WE LOVE YOU. Book of Hebrews beloved saints!

We don’t have an expansive, a broad perspective of our LORD’s kingdom without knowing the divine truths given us in the book of Hebrews! Example: Where is Jesus? What is He doing?

“But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:24-25

Read Hebrews, asking your LORD to grant you a deeper revelation of who He is.

“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:10-12

In this most glorious chapter (Isaiah 53), God’s Word tells us that our Great Intercessor, Jesus Christ, “bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

In Spite of, Not Because of …..

Always remember that JESUS alone is the reason “we are more than conquerers.” Read it closely:

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US … WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS.” Romans 8:37; 5:8

You and I were never worthy of what God provided to purchase us back to Himself – in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. He did it not because of you but in spite of you – of your sin.

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. … 8 But God commendeth (exhibited) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6, 8

WHO FOUND WHO? WHO Rescued Who?

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. … We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:9, 10, 19

There are blessings untold that have been provided for God’s children through Christ our LORD by whom the Father reconciled us back to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). The name, blood, and merit of Jesus Christ is our only and exclusive access to the Father! (Hebrews 1:1-3; 4:14-16; 7:24-26) Have you studied the book of Hebrews lately to begin to uncover the infinitely superior divine nature of the Testator of the New Covenant and the myriad of blessings He procured for us through His precious blood?

Praying in Christ’s Kingdom is Definitive and Absolute

In Christ’s kingdom, praying is not a guessing game or a roll of the dice. Believers don’t need to “make a wish” because they have a God who answers all their prayers! The Almighty Himself beckons His children to simply “ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24

When God sent His only begotten Son to died and be raised again, it fully satisfied the righteous claims of His justice to redeem mankind.

1 Timothy 3:16 informs us that “God was manifest in the flesh” and that we know was the very Son of God. The study of Christ (Christology), that is, knowing just who Jesus is from the thorough study of His Word, will reveal to your heart all that He came to do. That is, you will begin to learn and to discover the myriad of benefits He died to purchase for His beloved people.

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:5-8

You are bought and paid for by the Alpha and Omega who is the beginning and the end of all things – the soon coming KING of all kings, the LORD of all lords (Revelation 19:11-14).

The complete lack of the preaching of Christ’s victory in the modern church is coming from a rebellious people who are making an indictment against God – saying He did not provide through Christ’s sacrifice, every single thing needed to have complete victory.

Capture this Profound Messianic Truth!

Jesus is praying for you in Heaven right now – just as He did when Peter struggled, when Satan sought to sift him.

“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEE, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31-32

PERFECT SAVIOR – PERFECT SALVATION

IF you are doing things GOD’s way, tell us all – WHAT has Heaven to give you except VICTORY? Jesus Christ is now in glory, in Heaven, assuring, applying enforcing, implementing, imposing, and administering the victory He died on the cross to procure for His beloved saints (Hebrews 7:24-26).

Now in Heaven at His Father’s right hand, He ever lives to provide what He died to purchase! (Hebrews 4:14-16; 7:24-26)

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32

The salvation He provided is Himself who is the only Savior.

“I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Genesis 15:1

Jesus Christ is our all in all. He is our everything! Today, prayerfully pour over Colossians 1-2 in order to begin discovering the infinite riches of Christ – who He is!

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3

The whole purpose of eternal life is that we get to know Jesus Christ and the Father who sent Him (John 17:3).

Knowing Him.

Seeking Him.

Loving Him.

Worshiping Him.

Die to self to know Him more.

Crying out with John the baptist, “He must increase but I must decrease.” (John 3:30)

Is it your deepest goal to know Jesus and the Father?

Where is your faith today beloved?

ANY person who doesn’t seek God daily in prayer and the Word does not have Jesus as “first love” and is hell bound! Repent now (Revelation 2:4-5).

God did not send His only begotten Son to make it possible for His people to simply use Him like a formula or magic wand to get what their own selfish, un-sanctified hearts desire. It’s only through personal, intimate, abiding relationship that God answers prayer. Read John 15. Romans 6:1-2 and many other Bible verses make it clear that saving grace abounds to no one-saved person who goes back into sin without repentance. Only those whom Jesus has saved and who abide/remain rooted in relationship with Him will be with Him in eternal glory.

“If ye abide (remain) in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7

It’s only in abiding in and obeying Christ that we are assured that our prayers will be answered by Him. Though such a truth is rarely spoken of in the apostate church world, this is an unchanging fact in the divine economy. There simply are no shortcuts.

It is the highest insult to the Father when people claiming to be His do not desire and seek to get to know Him and His Son intimately. Yet, those same self-serving souls want to use Him to get their own selfish desires answered by Him. Amazing betrayal!

“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts (your own selfish desires)Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:3-4

Are you learning of Him or do you simply seek to use Him to get what you want?

Is your deepest desire to know Him more and more?

Do you have an idol of the heart? (Ezekiel 14:3; Revelation 21:8) What / Who truly comes first in your life?

Do you love this world or the One who made it and died for you and is coming back soon?

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15

Beloved, as an ambassador for Christ, we must learn, observe, and offer the whole message of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Well, let’s say as we study the whole counsel of His blessed Word, maturing as His saints, we are all learning of the LORD a more complete view of His “so great salvation” and need to keep in mind and in our mouths the whole message of the Gospel (Hebrews 2:3). That would include divine mercy on the lost and on the believer who has sinned. Sin (as God defines it in His Word) is an offense Him who is “Holy, holy, holy,” and all sin violates Him – whether that be a lie, coveting in one’s heart, lusting, heresy, slander, stealing anything, or adultery, etc. (Hebrews 2:3; Galatians 5:19-21). The blood of Christ will wash away ALL sin upon confession and repentance (1 John 1:9). Saint, get a revelation of the full and complete salvation God provided us through our LORD Jesus’ blood!!!!! He offered the perfect sacrifice one time (Hebrews 10:12). Repentance is a must initially to be saved and ongoing as needed. Memorize 1 John 1:7. Did God do a complete or partial work through Christ in His salvation to the world?

“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.  15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).” Hebrews 10:12-23

Our Fellowship

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3

We were made to know and fellowship with Christ and our Heavenly Father. This is the exact reason He made you.

Jesus Christ is divine (John 1, etc.). He is our Salvation who died on that cross, was buried, and raised again three days later, having purchased perfect and complete salvation to provide all we need and more – even the desire of the heart that is one with Him (Mark 11:24). As our Redeemer and Great Intercessor, Jesus Christ lives to provide what He died to purchase. His blood bought testament is in full force today for all who have come to Him in repentance and faith to be born again (Matthew 26:28).

What is Jesus Doing Now?

Read and listen to these words again, closely:

“But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens.” Hebrews 7:24-26

“ALL” of God’s many promises, covering every single area of this life, are fully available to you as a blood-purchased saint of Christ. The Father sent His only begotten Son to purchase you back to Himself and to give you the unspeakably rich inheritance of His kingdom. Read Ephesians 1-2 today prayerfully.

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

ONE thing is for certain saints – no prayer is answered because of how wonderful an intercessor one has been made to believe he or she is.  JESUS CHRIST EARNED, BOUGHT, AND RATIFIED OUR PLACE WITH GOD WITH HIS OWN PRECIOUS BLOOD. Let’s openly reject the cheap substitutes which are lies.  We are completely unworthy outside of HIM who bled to buy us back to Himself and His holy Father!!!! Now WHO, what mortal mere man or woman could compare to the matchless Son of the living God??!!!! All these false ministries teaching gullible, biblically-illiterate dupes about intercessory prayer and how it’s all based on THEM instead of JESUS …. no different than the roman catholic cult…. pure antichrist idolatry …. let’s be careful and discerning ….. we just need One and His name is JESUS ….  He paid the ultimate price, shedding His precious, sinless, divine blood to give us full access to Himself and His blessed Father, who is now our Father!

Jesus Died to Give Us Full Victory! Listen here.Prayer

It is to God’s glory that we walk in unison with Christ and appropriate “ALL his benefits.” (Psalms 103:2)

Psalms 103

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.”

To immediately increase your knowledge of the Savior, study the book of Hebrews and John 1.

IF you desire to truly hear from GOD, read His own Word for yourself. King James Bible.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“Nourished Up” – like a wise virgin Heaven bound saint.

“If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1 Timothy 4:6

On this biblical topic of fervency, of being “fervent in spirit”, one commentary offers the following:

“Nourished up in the words of faith” is a biblical phrase from 1 Timothy 4:6, meaning to be continually fed, strengthened, and built up by scripture, sound Christian teaching, and doctrine, much like food sustains the body, these spiritual words sustain and grow the soul, leading to spiritual maturity and a deeper walk with God. It signifies a deliberate, ongoing intake of God’s truth, which fosters growth, guards against false teachings, and fuels a believer’s life.” (Source?)

It’s one thing to have a mere human giving you encouragement and yet another thing to get your encouragement, your spiritual nourishment from God—directly. King James Bible.

Psalms 73

“Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.”

“Fervent in Spirit” [podcast]

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11

Concerning being “fervent in spirit,” one commentator notes that this means to:

“Maintain zeal to the boiling point.” Dake

“Fervent” – A primary verb; to be hot (boil, of liquids; or glow, of solids), that is, (figuratively) be fervid (earnest): – be fervent.

“Do nothing at any time but what is to the glory of God, and do every thing as unto him; and in every thing let your hearts be engaged.” Adam Clarke

“Never let your zeal flag (lag, drop, tank), maintain the spiritual glow, serve the Lord.” Here we are reminded of the words of Jeremiah 48:10: ‘Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully,'” Believer’s Bible Commentary

Apollos was “fervent in the spirit.”

“This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being FERVENT in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.” Acts 18:25

In all things Christ’s saints are to be “fervent in spirit”:

“Not slothful in business; FERVENT in spirit; serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11

Disciples of Jesus are to have a “fervent mind” toward all saints and ministers of His blessed Gospel:

“And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your FERVENT mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.” 2 Corinthians 7:7

“Fervent prayer” is to be offered to God for other of His saints:

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual FERVENT prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James_5:16

Jesus’ people are to have “fervent charity among” ourselves:

“And above all things have FERVENT charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

“Fervent heat” will soon consume the wicked who refused the salvation that comes from Christ alone:

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with FERVENT heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” 2 Peter 3:10

“Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with FERVENT heat.” 2 Peter 3:12

On this biblical topic of fervency, of being “fervent in spirit”, one commentary offers the following:

“2 Peter 3:

To be ‘fervent in spirit’ means to have intense, burning passion, zeal, and enthusiasm for spiritual matters, often linked to serving God, rather than being lukewarm or apathetic. It implies being ‘boiled’ with spiritual energy, actively engaged, and diligent in faith, as described in Romans 12:11, (‘not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord’). It’s a passionate, fiery commitment, distinct from fanaticism, involving earnest application and a deep love for God.

Key aspects:

  • Intensity: A deep, glowing, or boiling heat of emotion and dedication.
  • Diligence: Not being lazy or half-hearted, but actively applying oneself to spiritual duties.
  • Spiritual Zeal: A strong desire and excitement for God’s will, the Gospel, and spiritual growth.
  • Source: Often described as being moved by the Holy Spirit, a fire within.
  • Biblical Example: Apollos was described as ‘fervent in the spirit’ as he taught diligently about the Lord (Acts 18:25).
How it’s expressed:
  • Passionate prayer
  • Diligent study of God’s Word
  • Active, loving service to others
  • Bold witnessing for faith
  • Being ‘on fire’ for God, not lukewarm”

Jesus says that those in His church who are “lukewarm” will be spued or rejected (Revelation 3:15-16). What’s the opposite of being “lukewarm”? – being “fervent in spirit.”

“Amen! Don’t let your fire die as the church in Laodicea did! They were neither cold nor hot. They were lukewarm. Comfortable! Indifferent! Their fire for the Lord had gone out. God’s not looking for people who play it safe but people who burn with fire for Him!!!” Karen Cochran

YOUR PRAYER: LORD, make me Yours. Please keep me close to You, NO MATTER what it takes. Break me dear LORD. Let the holy light of Your presence permeate and shine through my inner man. I am Your temple Jesus. Shine Your light on all darkness. I love You my LORD. In Jesus’ name.

It’s not all Going to be Pretty [podcast]

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:3

One of Paul’s resumes of the sufferings he endured as an apostle of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 6:3-10

“3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

4  But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

5  In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

6  By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

7  By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

8  By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

9  As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10  As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”

You are His. Cling to Him. The LORD Jesus is going to bring you through, not matter what you face (Deuteronomy 13:4).

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:1-2

“Hated”

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22

“Ye shall Laugh”

“And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 21  Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22  Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.” Luke 6:20-22

“Through  much Tribulation”

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22

Eternity with Christ, “with Joy”

“For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12

“To Make them White”

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. 33  And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 34  Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. 35  And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” Daniel 11:32-35

“Made white … the wise shall understand”

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:10
