Before millions of biblically illiterate, lost souls, Victoria Osteen, smiling as usual, said: “I just want to encourage every one of us to realize when we obey God, we’re not doing it for God–I mean, that’s one way to look at it–we’re doing it for ourselves, because God takes pleasure when we are happy. . . . That’s the thing that gives Him the greatest joy. . . .”

She continued: “So, I want you to know this morning — Just do good for your own self. Do good because God wants you to be happy. . . . When you come to church, when you worship him, you’re not doing it for God really. You’re doing it for yourself, because that’s what makes God happy. Amen?”

As usual, the self-worshiping crowd erupted with an “amen.”

“America deserves the Osteens. The consumer culture, the cult of the therapeutic, the marketing impulse, and the sheer superficiality of American cultural Christianity probably made the Osteens inevitable. The Osteens are phenomenally successful because they are the exaggerated fulfillment of the self-help movement and the cult of celebrity rolled into one massive mega-church media empire. And, to cap it all off, they give Americans what Americans crave — reassurance delivered with a smile. … According to Osteen, God wants to pour out his “immeasurable favor” on his human creatures, and this requires a fundamental re-ordering of our thinking. “To experience this immeasurable favor,” Osteen writes, “you must rid yourself of that small-minded thinking and start expecting God’s blessings, start anticipating promotion and supernatural increase. You must conceive it in your heart before you can receive it. In other words, you must make increase in your own thinking, then God will bring those things to pass.’” Albert Mohler

Notice that in their whole theological scheme, serving “God” is all about getting something from Him instead of humbly bowing before Him in worship for who He is. Note also that in this diabolically twisted theology, it’s not due to Christ’s perfect sacrifice that God blesses us but rather what the “little god” of SELF can think, believe, and conjure up in his own deceived mind that determines whether or not one receives God’s blessings. That is pagan, New Age witchcraft. This is the PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) cult barely repackaged.

Mohler continues:

“There is nothing really new in this message. Anyone familiar with the New Thought movement and later books such as Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich will see a persistent theme. The important issue is this — Prosperity Theology is a false Gospel. The problem with Prosperity Theology is not that it promises too much, but that it aims for so little. What God promises us in Christ is far above anything that can be measured in earthly wealth — and believers are not promised earthly wealth nor the gift of health.

But to talk of the promises of God to believers is actually to jump outside the Osteen audience. The Osteen message does not differentiate between believers and unbelievers — certainly not in terms of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In their sermons, writings, and media appearances, the Osteens insist that God is well-disposed to all people and wills that all flourish, but there is virtually no mention of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No reference to sin as the fundamental issue. No explanation of atonement and resurrection as God’s saving acts; no clarity of any sort on the need for faith in Christ and repentance of sin.

Instead, they focus on happiness and God’s “immeasurable favor” to be poured out on all people, if they will only correct their thinking.

… How can any sinner be saved, without a clear presentation of sin, redemption, the cross, the empty tomb, and the call to faith and repentance? Prosperity Theology fails every test, and fails every test miserably. It is a false gospel, and one that must be repudiated, not merely reformatted.” Albert Mohler

THESE ARE THE SAME APOSTATE SOULS WHO DARE TO DEFEND THIS TYPE OF BLASPHEMY THAT ROBS THE ALMIGHTY OF THE GLORY AND PRAISE DUE TO HIS HOLY NAME ALONE. BUT JUST WHO WOULD WANT SATAN’S EMISSARIES TO CONTINUE TO MISLEAD PEOPLE? …. OTHER THAN THOSE WHO ARE ALSO SATAN’S PROPERTY DUE TO THEIR UNREPENTANT HEARTS.

Those have the audacity to defend such falsity are full of the love of self and therefore love those who feed that iniquitous self worship.

NO TRUE CHRISTIAN would ever defend any remote statement that blatantly says that worship is about us – sinful us – and not the LORD because such is a blasphemous, wholesale denial of the LORD Jesus Christ. …. my head is still spinning that anyone claiming to be a born again disciple of Jesus could be so dark and deceived as to seek to rob the glory from the nail-scarred risen Savior who bled to redeem us from our sin….. This is the fulfillment of what Jesus foretold … “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11

To those who would lamely seek to make excuse for the wolves who lie to them: The Osteen’s are willingly deceived ….. anyone who is deceived is deliberately deceived because we all have a Bible. This is especially true and especially dangerous with those who lead or in this case mis-lead. See 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12.

False prophets are simply those who lead you away from the worship of Jesus Christ, the only One worthy of our worship, who said “Thou shalt have NO other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3-4) Any questions?

WHO made you? For WHO’S PLEASURE was all creation made? Fallen the LORD’s or mankind’s? Just who is “WORTHY … to receive glory and honour and power“? … “THOU art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for THY pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

—– WHO are we made by? WHO are we to worship? – “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him ONLY shalt thou serve.” (Matthew 4:8-10)

This false gospel is espoused by many who have never truly repented and therefore are not saved (Luke 13:3, 5). Yet, they’ve been deceived into thinking that because they mouthed a little prayer, that that magic prayer saved them. Nonsense. Jesus says “Ye must be born again” and “Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish.” (John 3:3, 7; Luke 13:3, 5, etc.)

THIS FAIRY TALE MESSAGE CONVEY BY THE OSTEEN’S HAS NO RECONCILIATION TO THE ORIGINAL GOSPEL GIVEN TO US IN THE PAGES OF THE NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES. THEIR NEW AGE MESSAGE IS A SELF-WORSHIPING FALSE GOSPEL AND IS ESPOUSED BY UNREPENTANT, GOD-LESS PEOPLE WHO VAINLY BELIEVE THEY ARE SAVED AND YET HAVE ONLY A MERE “FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY THE POWER” OF CHRIST TO REIGN IN AND CHANGE THEIR LIVES UPON TRULY REPENTING (2 TIMOTHY 3:1-7).  THE OSTEEN’S ARE THE POSTER CHILDREN FOR THE SELF-SERVING DEVILS WHO VAINLY BELIEVE THEY KNOW JESUS WHILE REFUSING TO OBEY JESUS BY LAYING DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THIS FLEETING, SINFUL WORLD (LUKE 14:33; 17:33). CONCERNING WORSHIP, VICTORIA OSTEEN SAYS: “WE’RE DOING IT FOR OURSELF NOT GOD!” AS JESUS TOLD US WOULD BE THE CASE, VICTORIA OSTEEN SPOKE OUT OF HER MOUTH WHAT IS IN HER HEART SO THAT ALL COULD THE TRUTH (MATTHEW 12:34). WHY? – BECAUSE GOD IS MERCIFUL AND DESIRES TO DELIVER ANY PERSON WHO THINKS THEY ARE HIS AND STILL FOLLOWS THIS LINE OF HERETICAL, BLASPHEMOUS TEACHING. …. SOME PEOPLE ARE SO TURNED OVER BY GOD TO “STRONG DELUSION” THAT THE OSTEEN’S MIGHT AS WELL JUST COME OUT AND SAY “WE’RE NOW REVEALING THAT SATAN HIMSELF IS OUR GOD,” AND THESE IDOLATROUS, GULLIBLE DUPES WOULD LAP IT UP AND APPLAUD – BECAUSE THEY ARE SERVING SELF, NOT THE LORD AND SAVIOR WHO SAID THAT TO FOLLOW HIM ONE MUST DENY HIMSELF, TAKE UP HIS CROSS, AND FOLLOW (MATTHEW 16:24-25; LUKE 9:23-24, ETC.).

UNTIL JESUS RETURNS AND THEN THE LAKE OF FIRE WILL BE THE ETERNAL ABODE OF ALL WOLVES AND THOSE WHO SUPPORTED THEM (NUMBERS 16:30; 2 PETER 2:1-3; 2 JOHN 7-11, ETC.).

“Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.” 2 Peter 3:17

Isn’t it crazy how naive people are … as sheep having no shepherd and therefore willing to be led about by anyone who smiles and tells them ear tickling stories (“fables” – 2 Timothy 4:2-4).

Many “will not endure sound doctrine” which means they will not remain in it and will not hold themselves accountable to it.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4

It’s the “Tell ME what IIIIII want to hear” crowd that migrates to wolves like the Osteen’s. No true disciple of Jesus would give their completely false message a minute of time other than to expose it for what it is – heretical.

Can you believe the apostasy (departure from what is truth and what is right). Why are we surprised? After all, many have made excuses for the glaringly obvious false, corrupt Bible versions, the lie of “once saved always saved,” and many other myths.

Listen below (video) to Victoria Osteen spout the anthem of Satan himself and all antichrists. She says “Do good because God wants you to be happy.

At the end of this clip, notice how she quickly moves on into a prayer “Father …..” What does this indicate? It indicates that she knows that she is lying, using the name of the LORD in vain, and misleading the millions of searching, biblically illiterate souls in her audience. Also, don’t hold your breath for her spineless husband to correct this blasphemous lie with Scripture. He’s not a man of the Word whatsoever.

Many are so ridiculously blinded by their own choice not to truly repent and be saved and that’s why they listen to the Osteen’s in the first place. People are so blinded that these two smiling wolves could come on stage and openly state that they are serving Satan and this audience would applaud and empty their pockets. Their anthem is “Just tell me I am okay just like I am and that “God” only exists to make ME happy!”

“That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.” Isaiah 30:9-11

Victoria Osteen says “God Just Wants You to be Happy.” Is that why Jesus came to the earth? Where does the Bible say such? What saith the Holy Scriptures? – “(Jesus) Who gave himself for us, THAT he might redeem us from ALL iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14) Did you catch the Biblically stated reason for which Christ came to the earth?

Victoria Osteen says in the brief video clip below that “God Just Wants You to be Happy”? But the Bible clearly teaches us that God commands us to “Be ye holy; for I am holy.”(1 Peter 1:15-16) Victoria Osteen could just as easily have told her audience that “God wants you to be holy.”  If she’s not a false teacher, there’s no such thing. This is unthinkable heresy.

When a person refuses to love divine truth and refuses to turn their hearts to the LORD, God keeps them blinded – He does not lift the veil that blinds their understanding (2 Corinthians 3:14-16; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). Such a person will receive the due reward of “eternal damnation” for their rejection of Jesus Christ. To reject His teachings is to reject Him (Mark 8:38; John 8:47, etc.).

Let me say from the onset here: SO just WHAT part of what Victoria Osteen says in the video clip below do you dare defend? This is unthinkable apostasy saints …. The Osteen’s are saying (with no repentance) that worship is NOT about God but about YOU – this clearly proves they are not serving Christ but the false god of SELF and leading others in the same! Paul wrote: “whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)” (Philippians 3:18-19)

THESE PEOPLE HAVE NEVER TRULY REPENTED (SURRENDERED) … THEY HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY THESE VERY WOLVES THAT CHRIST’S BODY IS EXPOSING.  CHRISTIAN WORSHIP IS ABOUT DEATH TO SELF AND THE MAGNIFICATION AND EXALTATION AND WORSHIP OF THE ONE, NAIL-SCARRED, RESURRECTION LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST – BEFORE WHOM EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND CONFESS THAT HE ALONE IS LORD (PHILIPPIANS 2).

Where is your proof that they are teaching the original Gospel present in the New Testament Scriptures? The burden of proof is on you and you cannot demonstrate from Holy Scripture that the Osteen’s are preaching the Word of God. These are the most obvious false teachers in America. Why do you love them instead of the LORD? Do you have His Word, a King James Bible?

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 3-4

Angie, Joel is teaching his falsehoods publicly and so they must be exposed publicly…. he is a false teacher …. any second grader who has read a page or two in the Gospels knows that Joel is not teaching anything close to the original Gospel.

It’s very dangerous to be defending the very enemies of God that He commanded His people to expose by the light of His holy Word….

You know, no one here is condemning anyone, including the Osteen’s so much for a moral failure (although that it certainly is), but a concern for teaching false doctrine. We are to side with no one except God in doctrine and anyone bidding God speed (condoning or approving) false teachers is going to be a partaker in their eternal judgment (2 John 7-11).

Attention wolf defender, why do we not have the slightest concern for the millions they are leading to hell? … Jesus warned: ” Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

The Nonbeliever’s Favorite Verse”

Don’t Judge?
Do you know what the nonbeliever’s favorite verse is? 

It is Matthew 7:1: “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.” This verse is usually quoted after we say something like, “Well you know what? I don’t think that is right.”

This verse, however, is not telling us that we should not make judgments, because in other passages we read that as believers, we are indeed to make evaluations, to be discerning, and yes – to even make judgments.

In fact, the Bible asks, “Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves?” 

(1 Corinthians 6:2). We are also told in Scripture that “judgment must begin with God’s household” 

(1 Peter 4:17).
We are to judge, but we are not to condemn. In fact, a better translation of Matthew 7:1 would be: “Do not condemn others, and you will not be condemned.” I am in no position to condemn a person. But I am in a position to make judgments about things, situations, viewpoints, and even about people to some degree.

“Don’t judge!” is said by people who don’t like it when we dare to have a Christian worldview. In fact, I have found that the most narrow-minded people are those who claim to be the most broad-minded. 

Those who claim to be the most accepting are often the least accepting. Because when a Christian has an opinion, a nonbeliever will say, “How dare you say that! Who are you to judge?”
There is a living God, and He has revealed himself in the pages of Scripture. 

Therefore, as believers, we accept the fact that we have absolute truth from God. And we develop our worldview from what the Bible teaches.

As Shannon points out, the Osteen’s have been confronted numerous times and refuse to repent …. they are unrepentant. Some believe as I do that they have never truly repented which means they have never been saved.

When we ourselves have never truly repented, we want to listen to people who just tell us nice little flowery things that never confront us in our sinful state and in order to avoid having to stop, surrender, and change … truly repent, surrender…..

The “fruit” of the Osteen is rotten and clearly identifies the root of their lives …“the love of money is the ROOT of all evil.” (1 Timothy 6)

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1Ti 6:9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1Ti 6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” 1 Timothy 6

WHO is it that primarily misleads the masses? “For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” Isaiah 9:16 Who? “The leaders of this people … “ Isn’t this exactly what Jesus indicates and warns us to “beware of”? “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15

Many cling to mere sinful men like the Osteen’s who cannot save … this indicates that they are idolaters and therefore lost …. “Thou shalt have NO other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3
