Tribute to those who are Faithful to Our LORD [podcast]

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10

Only One Life, Twill Soon Be Past

“Only one life, ’twill soon be past,

Only what’s done for Christ will last.

And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be,

If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee.”

May God bless each of us, from this day forward to be spent for Him, for His glory, for our LORD’s Gospel.

God unfathamably opened His hand of mercy when He “so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. … 19  We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:9-10, 19

The Faithfulness and Blessings of God to the Faithful

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Proverbs 28:20

Did you realize that our LORD’s blessings – here and forever – are conditional?

IF it were not for a few, a handful of those who are faithful with giving the firstfruits, the first portion of what God is giving them, this ministry outreach (reaching tens of thousands monthly) would not exist. Thanking our LORD for them now, asking God to multiply their seed sown, as they have faithfully served Him with what He is giving them. See 2 Corinthians 9:6-11.

“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10

IN HIS Word, do you realize that God has promised to bless in famine those who were faithful to Him before the famine hit?

Read Psalm 67 and 112.

“Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.” Psalms 33:18-19

“They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” Psalms 37:19

There are specific promises to those who become and remain faithful to God.

Many scramble to prepare for famine and danger that lies ahead. The survival industry is huge. Yet, how many or how few are seeing what God says in His Word concerning His promise to keep alive in famine the faithful, those who faithfully serve Him.

Imagine the billions of dollars of “survival” food and supplies that lie dormant, never to be used. Makes us wonder if that money and faith should be spent helping the poor, giving to the LORD.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalms 37:25

Want your seed multiplied – that which you sow toward the LORD, His work, His Great Commission. No, we don’t give to get and yet, there’s the promise of our God.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (as it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.  2 Corinthians 9:6-11

Christ-centered, Scripture-rich books continue to flow out, every week, to the incarcerated. “WE” are doing HIS Great Commission “TOGETHER” saints. We are together shining the light of our LORD Jesus Christ into darkened hearts trapped in cold dark jail cells.

“For WE are labourers TOGETHER with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

Your investment is only safe and ETERNAL when it’s invested in Christ’s love and work. We are living by faith saints, fueled by exactly what we read in HIS Word (Romans 10:17).

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Regardless of what we profess, we can see exactly where our HEARTS truly are by looking at where we are choosing to put the money God is allowing us to bring in.

Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

“For WHERE your treasure is, THERE will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21

The way we spend our/His money is a direct reflection of the priorities of our hearts.

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Our LORD instructed us to pray for His labourers to be sent forth and has called certain to serve Him full time – in the only eternal and infinitely most important work of His Gospel (Matthew 9:35-38; Acts 6:4; 2 Timothy 2:2-4, etc.). Paul was one such servant. He wrote:

“The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:” 2 Timothy 1:16

The refreshing Paul received from Onesiphorus and others we read of, was life-giving, was invigoring beyond description, spurring the apostle on in the work of our LORD.

PRAYER: Holy Father, forgive my pride and waste and selfishness. Here and now I stand rebuked at the sin and waste. Please break me LORD and unite my heart to fear Thy holy name. Change me Jesus. Grant a godly, Great Commission giving heart, an open hand to Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
