— SATAN is so very subtle. Think: hidden agenda. Yes, many individuals and leaders posing as Christ’s representatives have a hidden agenda. They smile in your face. They do and say many outward things to curry favor, cozy up, and ingratiate you. They are manipulating you to get you exactly where THEY want you to be for their own self-serving purpose.

The fact is that many reading this haven’t even thought about the basic truth revealed in God’s Word that Satan is the most subtle of all creatures.

“Now the serpent was more subtil (cunning) than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Genesis 3:1

It was only after Satan “crept in unawares” (undetected) that he began to cast doubt on what God had said (His Word) and added a word that completed changed the meaning of the divine Word (Genesis 3:1-4).

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 3-4

The Purpose of Flattery is a Hidden Agenda …. To Snare Your Soul/Life

Beware. There are those whom the enemy send to slither into your life to begin to subvert your faith in Christ and walk with Him. Nothing is more important and of greater significance than knowing and abiding in Christ (John 15:1-16).

“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily (secretly, stealthily) to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.” Galatians 2:4-5

There are even people who have been in our lives that are just waiting for their opportunity to pounce on us. It is my experience and opinion that as we walk closely with Him, our LORD is teaching us discernment. This is a great prayer too: LORD Jesus, please open my eyes and give me Your insight so as to avoid “evil workers” who are Satan’s and would prey upon your children. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Beloved, you are highly deluded if you for any reason believe that there are not “evil workers” seeking to prey upon you. God-fearing people will pray for you but deceitful souls prey on you. Their hidden agenda is not readily seen because it’s in their heart and mind. But God knows all things (Proverb 15:3; Jeremiah 17:9). There are several hidden agendas for which people will attack you. The religionists of Christ’s day despised Him and were jealous of His success. This is a reason for which they delivered him up to be crucified (Matthew 27:18). I have seen some of the vilest devils ever who crept into my life only to wait for their moment to unleash their venom on me. The LORD has delivered me from them as He did Paul from Alexander the coppersmith (2 Timothy 4:14-18). He will deliver you also (Psalms 27).

“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:1-3

WHY so many biblical warnings about “evil men and seducers” if there are none or if there were only going to be a few of them? Perhaps I am guilty of focusing too much on the beguilers who stand behind pulpits and write books and entertain goats instead of feeding sheep. Yet by reason of leaders being few in percentage of the populace, there are more unrepentant deceivers who operate as individuals and are not in any leadership capacity over a group. They have no audience … except you. Perhaps their evil bloodthirsty hearts are more hungry for a victim than the wolf who readily misleads many from his leadership platform. Alexander the coppersmith was one such scoundrel who did the great apostle much harm.

“Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.” 2 Timothy4:14-15

STOP DWELLING ON THE PAST

The only way to prevent holding a grudge, is to simply forgive them – as God freely forgave you through the infinite price Christ paid for your sins on the cross, of which you don’t deserve (Psalms 103:10).

“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.” James 5:7-9

Being kind and forgiving towards others becomes simple as we look in the mirror and declare with Paul the apostle: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.” (Romans 7:18)

Forgiveness becomes easy when we look in the mirror to see the person (us, me) who needs God’s mercy more than any other person alive on the earth! Memorize Ephesians 4:32 now. KJB

Christ’s Non-Negotiable Original Gospel Imperative [podcast]

“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30

It’s one thing to claim we are with Christ and He with us, and it’s another thing to prove we are with the Savior by adhering to His words. Jesus told us that those who are “of God” hear and obey His words (John 8:47).

If one chooses not to love Jesus enough to obey His stated terms, such a man has rejected the Son of God for the love of sinful self and will perish in his own corruption (Matthew 22:37-40; Luke 9:23-24; 14:33; 17:33; John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6, etc.).

“Repentance is to TAKE SIDES with God against yourself. It is a CHANGE of attitude toward SELF, toward SIN, toward GOD, toward CHRIST that is so REAL that it RESULTS in a changed life. It is raising the WHITE FLAG in SURRENDER to God and turning to Christ as your only LORD and Savior. Repentance is NOT a work … works are the fruit of repentance (Ephesians 2:8-10).” Trent Austin

Only the counterfeit will get upset at this Gospel message because such a rebel wants nothing to do with taking personal responsibility for his sin, the denial of self, the crucified life to be set apart, holy, and having the Savior reign!

Notice how Jesus knits the denial of self, the daily cross, the putting off the deeds of the body, of keeping under the body (the iniquitous fallen nature) with the destiny of the eternal soul.

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?” Luke 9:23-25

Jesus made it clear here that the cross is an original Gospel essential, an absolute imperative to eternal glory with Him!

Each of us proves exactly who we love the most by the way we are living! – God or self!

Everything that is happening in your life now is being allowed by God in order to get you down low into the death and burial with Christ. Read 2 Corinthians 4.
