“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3

The LORD is a “Jealous” God.

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:” Exodus 34:14

If Jesus Christ is not genuinely the first love of our hearts, our lives, we are committing spiritual adultery on the Son of God.

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. ³⁸This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ⁴⁰On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

There will be not even 1 idolater in glory (Ephesians 5:5-7; Revelation 21:8). ANY person who does not have JESUS today as “first love” is a hell bound idolater who is in desperate need of repentance before it’s too late (Revelation 2:4-5).

“Repentance is to TAKE SIDES with God against yourself. It is a CHANGE of attitude toward SELF, toward SIN, toward GOD, toward CHRIST that is so REAL that it RESULTS in a changed life.
