The Bible teaches that backslidding is possible and that backslidders must be re-converted – brought back to God via repentance and confession of sin.
“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31-32
The backslider must be “converted” again or he will perish:
“Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death (eternal separation from God), and shall hide a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20
ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT DILIGENTLY, DAILY STUDY GOD’S WORD HAVE TOLD HIM HE’S NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO THEM! THEY’VE SAID “YOU ARE NOT WORTH PUTTING FIRST JESUS.” HE’S A SECOND CLASS CITIZEN TO THEM. HE’S NOT THEIR “FIRST LOVE” – THAT IS, JESUS IS NOT THEIR FIRST AND SUPREME PRIORITY. TO THIS JESUS SAYS THEY MUST “REPENT” TO BE SAVED INTO GLORY. READ REVELATION 2:1-7. LUKEWARM IS HELL BOUND
ALL it takes to go to hell irrevocably, is to die in a lukewarm state (Revelation 3:15-6). Jesus was speaking to the Laodicean church and not the world. This is even more Bible proof that OSAS/perseverance of the saints are full blown, soul damning heresies. You on fire? You better repent immediately, lay down your life, and cry out to the LORD to baptize you with the Holy Ghost. The lake of fire awaits.
INTERPRETATION OF OSAS: “I refuse to truly repent, change, and bring forth good fruit! I only want to use Jesus to get me out of hell! I’m not interested in truly knowing and obeying Him!”
I’ve been talking to a church going guy for months now whom I found out today believes OSAS. I brought it up and gave him much Bible that contradicts this evil lie. Regrettably this is all too typical of counterfeits in America, produced by the false church. This man has no desires to serve God in his life. His whole “Christianity” consists of going to church on Sunday morning. Sad since this has and is sending millions upon millions to eternal damnation.
Are you confessing Christ or are you denying Him due to being ashamed?
“Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38
All those who are not about “the Father’s business” are not right with God (Luke 2:49).
Who’s true in your personal life?
“Let God be true and EVERY man a liar.” Romans 3:4
Letting God be true simply means letting Christ – His Word rule your thoughts and life and no one else – no other mere man, beginning with yourself. The LORD has magnified His Word even above His own name (Psalms 138:2). Meditate upon this truth beloved.
We must ask the all-important question as to who truly is the final authority in our personal lives (thoughts, will). This is where the battle is won.
“Valiant for the truth” – Are you – yes YOU – “valiant for the truth”? In their backslidden condition, Jeremiah the prophet anguishes over God’s people …. “And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:3) He cites them for not being “valiant for the truth” which is a clear indication that someone is no longer right with God – they are lukewarm and will be rejected from eternal glory with Christ if they do not repent before it’s too late (Revelation 3:15-22).
Most people who “go to church” instead of being the church daily, are backslidden. Departing from Christ happens in the heart! See Proverbs 14:14.
ANY person who is not quickening by sound full-counsel doctrine, which includes the essential of fearing and obeying the LORD, is a wolf. Run for your life!
Want to be on fire for Christ? Here’s a list of 5 things to do, beginning now:
1. Read God’s Word each morning upon awaking (Revelation 1:5).
2. Study God’s Word every morning upon waking (2 Timothy 2:15).
3. Make God’s Word your final authority – embrace and live it (Romans 3:4).
4. Meditate upon God’s Word daily (Joshua 1:8).
5. Memorize God’s Word daily, always (Proverbs 4:4).
IN THIS LAST HOUR, WHEN YOU SEE THE VILEST OF SINNERS …. PLEASE KNOW THAT THEY ARE CLOSER TO BEING SAVED THAN THE SELF RIGHTEOUS RELIGIONISTS THAT SURROUND US WHO CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIANS …. MOST WHO THINK THEY ARE SAVED TODAY IN AMERICA ARE GOING TO HELL. THEY SAID A PRAYER IN THE PAST AND THEIR FALSE PASTORS HAVE MISLED THEM TO BELIEVE THAT DUE TO ATTENDING “CHURCH” THEY ARE SECURE. NONSENSE. THAT’S NOT WHAT SCRIPTURE TEACHES.
To the self-righteous religionists of His day and our day, Jesus said:
“For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees (self-righteousness), ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20
ALL who are not literally DOING God’s stated will in His Word – are as sure for eternal damnation as if they were already there! The refusal to walk with Christ reveals that one does not know Him – Does not have a relationship with the Son of God who invites all to “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Love for Christ always produces an obedience to Him and yet love (relationship) must come first.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. … 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:21, 23
Jesus warns:
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
RED FLAG: You attend a “church” and aren’t digging into, devouring, and memorizing God’s Word daily. Backslidden!
Concerning the unthinkable idea of being out of the Word of God, one sister writes: “I would be grieved in my spirit so much … I would be in TRAVAIL…WILL NOT SETTLE for ANYTHING LESS THAN SOLD OUT…PASSIONATE 150% in the WORD… STANDING on the WORD… SPEAKING the WORD…LIVING the WORD… HEARING the WORD…STUDYING the WORD.”
So you have time to read the news in the morning but no time or desire and disciple to seek God in His holy Word and prayer when you first awake in the mornings? Self-idolatry!
God’s Word cannot and will not get into you until you get into it!
If anything is more important to you than knowing the LORD through studying His Word, you are not ready to meet Jesus.
It’s time to repent for real …. and when one does, his life will change! If not, one hasn’t yet repented (Matthew 3:7-10).
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
— YOU WILL NEVER ACCIDENTALLY LEARN GOD’S WORD. NEVER MIND the excuses. You’ve used that worn out garbage long enough. It’s time for you to truly repent and when you do, your whole being life will build around the WORD of God and nothing else. ANY person who has a “I’ll get around to it” attitude and life concerning searching, studying, and doing God’s Word, is apostate – outside of the kingdom of God.
It’s time to repent! It’s time to fast and pray! Your life, your eternity depends on it! Isaiah 58
Repent today.
“Sound doctrine” is biblical language and all who truly know and love supremely the LORD and Savior are becoming more and more grounded in His truth – “sound doctrine.” They seek out and study and are devouring God’s Word.
If you are not in God’s Word daily, you have already backslidden.
To “endure sound doctrine” involves opening our hearts and lives to the full counsel of God’s Word. The word “endure” here comes from the Greek word anechomai which means to hold one’s self up against, to bear, endure, suffer. Are you suffering “sound doctrine”? Are you bearing “sound doctrine”? Friend, are you holding yourself up against “sound doctrine”?
When God’s Word is not FIRST priority in your life, you are being called by Him today to understand that you are estranged from Him by your own rebellion.
SADLY, SO VERY MANY among us do not understand the utter importance of sound doctrine. Christ’s True Church is Identified by the Ongoing Washing of the Water of the Word and Adherence to Sound Doctrine.
Church goers today are being used or exploited by false leaders who are building their own kingdoms upon the backs and ignorance of those whom the Holy Spirit foretold would “not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” …. Here’s the passage:
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure (Gr. hold themselves accountable to) sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (stories – story tellers).” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
ANY so-called pastor or Christian leader who has not gotten YOU personally into God’s Word via rebuke, encouragement or otherwise, is an absolute fraud … OR, you are an utter, hardened rebel who has refused to repent. Those who repent know Christ and they WILL seek His face in His Word.

Daily Prayer Guide [podcast]

Daily Prayer Guide
PRAYING EVERY DAY FOR:
THE BODY OF CHRIST
Here’s some of the biblical truth I personally pray daily for those disciples of Jesus on my prayer list:
- That God would take away the stony places in our hearts and grant us hearts of flesh – pliable, humble, teachable, worshipful, obedient (Ezekiel 36:24-26).
- That the LORD would unite our hearts to fear His holy name (Psalms 86:11).
- That He would bless us to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12).
- That the LORD would fill us with His love and cause that love to be demonstrated through our lives daily in our interactions with others (1 Corinthians 13).
- That He would baptize and fill us with His Holy Spirit and use us powerfully for His eternal glory (Acts 1:8; 2:4, etc.).
- That God would quicken and give us His wisdom concerning fruitful stewardship of His resources He’s entrusted us with (Matthew 25:14-30, etc.).
- That we would be blessed to know Him in that oneness and abiding relationship He spoke of and prayed in John 15 and 17 – bearing fruit to His glory.
- That the LORD would teach us and bring us to be consummate soul winners as His ambassadors (Proverbs 11:30; 2 Corinthians 5:20).
- The our LORD will multiply His grace, love, and wisdom in our hearts (2 Peter 3:18; Romans 5:5; James 1:5).
- That God would increase our faith (Luke 17:5).
OUR LEADERS:
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.” 1 Timothy 2:1-3
OUR CITY:
“And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” Jeremiah 29:7
GOD’S KINGDOM TO COME ON EARTH:
(Both today and the Millennial Kingdom when Jesus Christ reigns on earth for 1,000 years)
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
GOD TO SEND LABOURERS INTO HIS HARVEST:
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM:
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Psalm 122:6
—— • ——
Also, Jesus gave His disciples a model for daily prayer which is an excellent starting place for each day.
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13

Jesus will Judge Us by Our Works

By Glenn and Dezi Langohr
JESUS — JUDGED BY WORKS
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father… Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied…? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21–23
Our works clearly reveal what is in our hearts! Fruit.
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27
“…all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28–29
“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: *the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” John 12:48
PAUL — CONTINUE IN GOOD WORKS
“Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.” Romans 2:6–7
“For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” Romans 2:13
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
“…they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.” Titus 3:8
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10
“…for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing…” Galatians 6:7–9
JAMES — FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:17
“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” James 2:24
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26
PETER — BE HOLY, DO GOOD WORKS
“And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.” 1 Peter 1:17
“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1 Peter 2:12
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” 2 Peter 1:10
SUMMARY
Jesus said He will judge every man by their works (Matthew 16:27, John 5:29).
Paul taught that eternal life is for those who continue in well doing (Romans 2:7, Titus 3:8).
James declared faith without works is dead (James 2:17, 24).
Peter warned God will judge every man’s work (1 Peter 1:17) and exhorted us to abound in good works.
God’s people are called to endure to the end with living faith proven by works of obedience, love, and holiness.

To Walk in Love is of the Highest Priority to the LORD [podcast]

If we die without His love we will not be with Him above.
Jesus loved us and all His enemies, even under to death – for our, for the redemption of the world.
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth (displayed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8
Our promised we, His people, will be persecuted as He was (John 7:7; 15:20, etc.).
“The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. ” John 7:7
“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” John 15:20
God commands that we walk in His love toward all men, including those who hate and persecute us.
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and
hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice
to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” Ephesians 5:2
To “walk in love” is of the highest priority to the LORD. Study
this important topic, asking God to fill you with His love and
all the corresponding fruit thereof (Galatians 5:22-23). How
can those who claim to know He who “is love” not walk in
His love? (See 1 John 4:8, 16.)
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of
angels, and have not charity, I am become as
sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I
have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all
faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have
not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all
my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my
body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth
me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind;
charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not
puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly,
seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth
all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8
Charity never faileth.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
“Walking in God’s love requires the cross life. This takes dying to your flesh (Gal 2:20). Because our wicked flesh wants revenge. And will rise up in anger. Believing their attacks are personally against us. But when you are walking in the Spirit of God, Jesus will fill you with love for them. By loving them instead of looking for revenge we are showing them the character of Christ. We don’t need to retaliate. Because we see it is the Jesus in you they are attacking. And we are to rejoice in that! Matthew 5:12. I am beginning to see this manifest in my life. I don’t take their attacks personally anymore. Hallelujah. That can be debilitating in your walk with Jesus. And just keep you in anger! But through the cross you have victory and see them through the eyes of Jesus! And most importantly bless and pray for them!” Karen Cochran
Prayer: Father, You are love. Please fill my heart and life with Your love—to pour on others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
