“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” Exodus 20:7

Beware of those who dare put the holy name of the LORD on their own thoughts, words, visions, dreams, or words they claim are from God.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:15-16

False prophets are self-serving and full of pride and therefore hate to be questioned or tested, yet that’s exactly what Jesus instructed you to do. Test the fruit. Always ask: “Do you have something to hide?”

YOU are not obligated to believe anyone’s scenario, supposed intel, insight, or words based on them claiming to be watchmen. Self-proclaimed “watchmen” have deceived many. Putting that title on oneself can be a dangerous endeavor. The words “watchman” or “watchmen” appear no where in the New Testament canon.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

When someone says “the Lord showed me” this should be a red flag. Instead of tracking all things through the Word, they are attributing things to themselves which is highly subjective. Beware because once you are seduced and snared, once you buy into or bite on the idea that this person, this “watchman” is hearing from God, they have entrapped you.

“While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.” 2 Peter 2:19

When Jesus died and rose again from the dead He sent the Holy Ghost to dwell in EVERY born again saint He saves.

“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” 1 John 2:20

Being that the Holy Ghost is resident in every born again saint, you can “know all things” that concern your life in Christ by being led by the Holy Spirit and Word (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:12-21).

Now let’s read the context:

1 John 2
“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you (the Word, the Gospel), which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”

No man should be allowed to so much as attempt to usurp the Headship of Christ in your personal life. Many have been ensnared by such nicolaitin witchcraft which Jesus says He hates (Revelation 2:6, 15). Nico – laitan = conquer the laity (people).

By His perfect sacrifice Jesus granted you the individual priesthood He grants to each and every one of His people (Hebrews 4:14-16, etc.). “Ye need NOT that ANY man teach you” (1 John 2:27). You are bought with the very price of Christ’s blood to be ultimately led by Him and not any other man. This requires the diligent daily study of His Word and a life of prayer (Matthew 26:41).

This doesn’t mean that there aren’t elders in the body of Christ or that every saint doesn’t need fellowship with other disciples of Christ. Yet you are His, you are Christ’s and HE alone is your Commander in Chief (Hebrews 2:10)! “Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men” (1 Corinthians 7:23).

“In whom (Jesus Christ) are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 And this I say, lest any man should BEGUILE you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST (not men). 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him (be led of Him, not mere men): 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 BEWARE LEST ANY MAN SPOIL (ruin, mislead) you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: … 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. … 1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Colossians 2:4-10, 18-19; 3:1-3

Every born again and presently abiding blood-bought saint of Christ is led by the Word and the Holy Spirit, not some other mere human professing to be a “watchman.” Beware.

The primary way Jesus Christ leads His New Testament church, people, is not via watchmen but rather His written Word and Holy Ghost – via the cross, the crucified life (Romans 6; 8:11-14, etc.):

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105

The voice, the will of God is given you in Holy Scripture and God will never contradict Himself (1 Corinthians 14:33).

ANY person pretending to be representing Christ, in ministry, who is NOT grounding their audience in the absolute necessity of personally studying God’s Word daily … is a false prophet. Take a look:

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. … 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:16 20

To “Bind up,” to “seal” His “law (Word) among” His disciples, to MARK God’s Word, is to engrave it into their hearts and minds as their life, the highest divine authority, and the only way to know, follow, walk with, and eternally be with the LORD.

“For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath MARKED HIS WORD, and heard it?” Jeremiah 23:18

“Let God be true and every man a liar.” Romans 3:4

“Romans 3:4. According to this verse, every man is a liar. God is the only one who is faithful and true. His word stands forever (Isaiah 40:8). We should always believe God and not man. And be Bereans checking everything against the word of God. Acts 17:11.” Karen Cochran

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10-11

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

According to Deuteronomy 13:1-10, even if a man predicts, prophecies, or dreams something that actually comes to pass, that person is not to be trusted but GOD alone is to be trusted so that if after that accurate prophesy they teach something that contradicts God’s Word they are to “be put to death” (v. 5).

“Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.” Deuteronomy 13:4

1 Kings 13: Why was this Man of God later Eaten by a Lion?

Do you remember the story of the old prophet and the younger prophet and how the younger prophet was eaten by a lion for his disobedience? Read 1 Kings 13. Being led of another man, even a true prophet, instead of the LORD Himself, can and will result in spiritual death.

Remember we read in Colossians 2 the warning about “worshipping of angels” and the exhortation to uphold, to hold to Christ, the “Head” of our lives (Colossians 2:18-19)? Of this 1 Kings 13 passage, one writers notes:

The man of God had been sent from Judah to prophesy against the altar set up in Bethel by Jeroboam. When the man of God was to leave, he wasn’t to eat with anyone there and he was to leave another way. Yet, when an elder prophet approached him and said an angel had told him to tell the man of God to eat with the old prophet, the man of God believed that message. And then of course the man of God would suffer the consequences for believing that message: which was death. But why did the man of God believe the lie of the old prophet in the first place?”

Remember that this man who was eaten by a lion, was called “the man of God” and was heralded for his ministry and yet later disobeyed the LORD and was destroyed for it, for his sin (1 Kings 13:11).

“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1 Corinthians 10:12

One commentary notes:

“In 1 Kings 13, the old prophet is from Bethel and tricks the unnamed prophet from Judah into disobeying God. The old prophet lies about receiving an oracle from God, and the unnamed prophet is killed by a lion as punishment for disobeying God. The old prophet then buries the unnamed prophet in his own tomb.

“1 Kings 13:11
a    [Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth-el] Having heard of the miracles and the prediction against the altar of Jeroboam (1Ki_13:10-12), the old prophet pursued the man of God. He found him sitting under an oak and invited him to come home with him and eat bread (1Ki_13:13-15). When the invitation was refused and the reason given, the old prophet indicated that he was obeying the word of an angel. The lie was so convincing that the man disobeyed the commandment of the Lord (1Ki_13:16-19). At the table the true word of the Lord came to the older prophet who predicted the younger one’s destruction for disobedience (1Ki_13:20-22).” Dake

WHO does the lion here in 1 Kings 13 represent who ate the prophet, the man of God?

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8

PRAYER: Holy Father in Jesus’ name please wash me afresh in the precious blood of Jesus. Please make my heart clear, clean, and pure. Wash me also with the water of Thy Word LORD and teach me to see, to perceive, to understand and discern through the eyes of Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“I have Espoused you to one Husband” [podcast]

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28

After detailing the things that would be occuring in the earth before His return, Jesus then instructs us what to do: “look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

We’ve come way to far to turn back now.

Now that the LORD has found and saved you, you are now engaged to be married eternally to Christ, the Great Bridegroom.

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2

The word “chaste” is defined this way:

ἁγνός
hagnos
hag-nos’
From the same as G40; properly clean, that is, (figuratively) innocent, modest, perfect: – chaste, clean, pure.

One source notes:

“The phrase “I have espoused you to one husband” is from the Bible, specifically 2 Corinthians 11:2. It is spoken by the Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth, where he uses a metaphor of a father ‘betrothing’ a daughter to a groom. In this context, he is the spiritual father who has led them to believe in Christ, and he has now given them to Christ, the one husband, as a pure virgin bride.

  • Spiritual father: Paul compares himself to a father who has arranged a marriage for his daughter.
  • The Church as the bride: The church is the ‘daughter’ being given in marriage.
  • Christ as the husband: Christ is the one husband to whom the church is being betrothed.
  • Purity and faithfulness: Paul’s ‘godly jealousy’ is his fear that the church will be led away from its pure and simple devotion to Christ, much like Eve was deceived. He wants to present them to Christ as a ‘chaste virgin.'”

What bride is Jesus returning for?

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27

How we know His bride:

The true bride of Christ that He is returning for is in the Word, being sanctified and cleansed by it  “with the washing of water by the word.” Jesus is returning for His remnant body, bride who are known in that they are walking, living in the Word. They are obedient to read and obey Him, it. Read Psalm 1.

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:2-3

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

6  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready
8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. … 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22; 24:13

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10

PRAYER: Father in Jesus’ name, please make me holy. Anoint my life to the death and burial of self that You might raise me up daily in Your victory and fruitfulness. Unite my heart to fear Thy name dear LORD. Into Your hands I here and now submit my spirit and life. In Jesus’ name.

“Your Redemption Draweth Nigh” [podcast]

“Great podcast!” Robin Figtree

“Amen! This verse is hope for the remnant believers! As we are not to be like the world and the lukewarm Christians whose hearts are failing them for fear. Luke 21:26. But we are to put our hope and faith in our blessed Saviour who will come like a thief in the night. We are to live with an eternal perspective. And not to live in despair, hopelessness, and fear.” Karen Cochran

Hebrews 10:35-39

“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”

Jesus told us to “look up, and lift up your heads” when we see the signs of the end which would indicate His soon return. Rather than being overly preoccupied with the signs and Satan’s agents that Christ told us would be most evident just before His return, we should be all the more seeking the face of the Lord. Jesus is coming which should hasten us to do the ministry commission He left us to do—edify, nourish, teach and send forth His people into ministry to make Him known to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; John 21:15-17; Ephesians 4:11-15, etc.).

“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Are you nourishing your heart daily in God’s Word? Who will you build up in Christ today?

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Prayer: LORD, please root me soundly in You this day. Produce the fruit and good works in this vessel that glorify You. Help me to nourish, edify, and equip others of Your beloved people. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bride of Heaven vs Harlot from Hell [podcast]

How Do We Know, Right Now, Who will be Seated at the at the Table, at the Great Supper of the Lamb? (Matthew 22; Revelation 19)

The remnant, those who will be present at the Great Supper of the Lamb in Heaven, are ALREADY feasting at the banqueting table of His Word. All others whom Jesus has saved in the past, are not fueled or flourishing but are rather famishing, fainting, and falling away.

The “little flock” of Christ desires to be with Him both now and forever, not just forever (Luke 12:32). They’ve been born again and present “abide” in/with the Savior (John 15:1-6).

No good man wants an arrangement but rather a marriage with a virtuous, faithful wife. He rightly desires a beloved wife in holy matrimony, not a whore to shack up with! Those who espouse OSAS are spiritual adulterers, whore mongers. They want a quick fix, an illicit affair that requires no commitment, carries no requirements.

The God fearing wife has set aside all else to serve her husband (1 Peter 3:1-7). She is not sidetracked nor does she waiver in her love and duty to her man. And this is what the true bride of Christ is doing today – setting aside the distractions and pursuits of this fleeting world and are seated at the feet of Jesus, waiting upon Him (1 John 2:14-17).

Her life is all about Him, not herself.

The heart of a true under shepherd is heard in these words from Christ’s apostle Paul: “I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2 Corinthians 11:2-4

It’s the adulterous heart, the heart where Jesus is not truly the “first love,” the highest priority, that migrates to this sin-justifying system of theology called “eternal security” (Revelation 2:4-5). Jesus’ teaching concerning the five foolish virgins who were espoused to the Bridegroom (Jesus), and were later shut out of His bridal chamber, is clear proof that all who begin with Christ will not be with Him eternally (Matthew 25:1-13). Jesus invented the term “fall away” and told us that some who initially believe will later “fall away”—they will not “endure to the end” with Him (Luke 8:12-13; Matthew 10:22; 24:13). So, someone’s lying and it’s not the Son of God. Why would He use such words as “fall away” if these things weren’t possible, if it weren’t essential to “endure to the end” to be “saved”?

Paul says we, the saints of Christ on earth, are “espoused” to Christ the Bridegroom – engaged, not married (2 Corinthians 11:2-4).

With no exception, ALL wise virgin believers are in the Word daily. They commune with the Bridegroom and He fills them daily with His heavenly virtue, oil (Matthew 25:1-13).

Just because one is “espoused” to Jesus, that is, engaged to the Bridegroom of Heaven, doesn’t mean they will ultimately be married to Him as is proven in Christ’s parable of the 10 virgins where only 5 made it into the eternal bridal chamber with the bridegroom (Matthew 25:1-13). They other 5 were shut out for treating the engagement/espousal as a mere arrangement.

The most elaborate, the most grandiose dinner awaits the saints of Christ! Words cannot possibly express the grandeur of Christ’s welcoming dinner…. a celebration to end all others – the beginning, the inaugural celebration of eternity with Christ and His saints of all ages.

The foolish virgins are making excuse for sins (Proverbs 28:13a. The wise virgins are hastening to repentance (Matthew 25:1-13; Ephesians 5:25-27; 1 John 3:3; Revelation 19:7-10).

“Revelation 19:7-9: We are to ‘bear the image of the heavenly.’ (1 Cor 15:49).Our sinful nature crucified, sanctified, dead and buried, and then we take on the heavenly glorified nature of Christ! Our whole spirit, soul and body is being transformed more and more into the image of Jesus! (1 Thesolonians 5:23). We must be fully clothed in righteousness and holiness to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb! This is the only way to be accounted worthy! And not have our names blotted out of the book of life.” Karen Cochran

“Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.” Proverbs 14:9

Mocking at sin relates to any lax or crass attitude toward what He that is Holy declares to be sin – which separates men from God. There’s is divine grace and favor on all who are honest, repent, and forsake sin.

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and HIS WIFE HATH MADE HERSELF READY. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” Revelation 19:7-9

WHAT’s the use of talking about end times and the events of these final days if we aren’t even going to be “READY” when Jesus does return?

“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Luke 12:40

Read the passage below as to exactly, specifically what Bride Jesus will return for and please explain how a person who genuinely got saved and now is living in sin is going to be Christ’s Bride eternally:

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27

“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” 2 Peter 3:12-13

As the husband and wife require their intimate personal time together for relations, so the bride of Christ must have her individual, set apart time of intimacy with the Bridegroom, Jesus. This is biblical imagery (Matthew 25:1-13; Ephesians 5:25-30; Revelation 19:7-9).

Christ’s bride that He will soon return for is holy and holy means set apart. Christ’s Heaven-bound disciples are known by their fervent loyalty to their Master, Jesus. Sweet fellowship with Christ is at the cornerstone of their schedule. The LORD is their undisputed priority. Having a daily, set apart time with Christ is essential of the infusion of Heaven’s nutrient-rich substance, to remaining in an abiding relationship with the Bridegroom (Psalms 27:4, 8; Matthew 5:6, etc.).

Drinking from the well of Heaven daily is the mainstay duty and practice of every true wise virgin believer (Matthew 25:1-13). Their relationship with their Bridegroom is their most important occupation. He’s absolutely first. Jesus is not a second class citizen in their life (Revelation 2:4-5).

Do we remember how Paul spoke of a man and wife coming together and how if they don’t, if they neglect intimacy, they will be tempted to migrate to someone else other than their mate? (1 Corinthians 7:1-5)

“Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” 1 Corinthians 7:1-5

Are we, are you rendering “due benevolence” to your LORD and Savior, the Bridegroom of Heaven? If not, you are being drawn away to another lover, a false god, an altar of idol worship.

You are Cordially Invited to this Great Supper of and with the Lamb of God

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17
