Complete Victory in Jesus [podcast]
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58
Is there hope and victory in your preaching? Or, just condemnation? Did Jesus not come and die and rise again from the dead to give His people complete victory? Memorize 1 Corinthians 15:57 today.
We are fighting the good fight of faith, “striving against sin” and are “more than conquerors” over sin through Jesus who loves us and bought us with His own blood! (1 Timothy 6:12; Hebrews 12:4; 13:12; Acts 20:28; Romans 8:37)
“When we believe that Christ is our Righteousness … we’re empowered to bear the Fruit of Righteousness!” Lynn Blakeney
There is no victory without the cross – no resurrection without death and burial!
Jesus came to …
“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18
—— David Pace aptly notes:
“The GRACE people have a problem with that word OVERCOME, They just don’t realize that its GRACE that gives us the ability to OVERCOME!!!! And some don’t want to realize it because they simply do not want to truly submit to Christ HIS WAY and also the idea of total victory is something they’ve never heard and therefore never considered.”
WE’VE got the victory because we are bought with the price of the Victor’s blood! Only when you take up the cross can you claim Christ’s victory! Whole lotta false “victory” preaching going on that never mentions the cross – but rather intentionally dodges it! Beware. ANY man preaching “victory” with a cross-less message is a wolf! (Philippians 3:18-19)
Refusing to acknowledge, repent, confess, and cease is what snares the soul and ousts us from Christ (Proverbs 28:13).
“FOOLS” vs those who confess and forsake sin and receive divine mercy
“Fools make a mock at sin.” Proverbs 14:9
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13
Those who if they sin, stop and return to the LORD, confess their sins, and turn from their wicked ways.
Biblical Observation:
1. If you are being very honest before the LORD, no matter what’s going on, such greatly pleases Him. God can work with the honest, no matter how far from Him they think they are (Luke 8:15; 1 John 1:7-9), and
2. If you are fighting the good fight of faith and as you endure in this by surrender, God is going to bring you into the full victory for which Christ died to manifest!!!! (1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Timothy 4:7) Now pour over Hebrews 3-4.
Those not excited for Jesus to return simply love this fleeting world and are not ready to meet the KING! Jesus is coming
