There are so very “many” deceivers in our day. Christ’s apostle Paul told us that they are the very ministers of Satan (2 Corinthians 11:12-15).
The “MANY false prophets” Jesus foretold of this last hour, whom He told us would “deceive MANY” can be very engaging, engraciating, using their personalities to draw in their prey (Matthew 7:15; 24:3-5, 11; Romans 16:18; Colossians 2:8-10; 1 John 4:1). Beware saints.
WE’VE all been deceived. When this realization sets in, when we realize it….. It’s essential to get honest, to humble ourselves in repentance – realizing we were NOT being led by the Holy Spirit when we condoned a false teacher (Romans 8:14; Galatians 1:6-9). Pride damns (Proverbs 13:10).
Beware of making soul ties with any mere human (John 2:25; 2 Corinthians 5:16). We are to love all men and yet Jesus is our “first love” – our identity, our King (Revelation 2:4-5; Galatians 2:20; 6:14; 1 Corinthians 1:29-25).
What Now?
“And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 9:3
The LORD says that all who are not “valiant for the truth” of God “know not me.” Read Jeremiah 9:3 above again.
How do we know who the true disciples of Jesus are in our day?
The heavenbound elect of Christ are those who are “valiant for the truth.” God says that all othes “know not me.” (Jeremiah 9:3)
“Proverbs 12:22 says ‘Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord.’ Detestable. Lying and living in lies is contrary to God. God is truth! John 14:6. He delights in those who value, practice and love His truth!” Karen Cochran
It’s time to run from the wolves who incubated you into a lukewarm hell bound spiritual state. You swore those devils were men of God and preached the Word and yet you never heard them preach in God’s anointing on fearing God, on hell, on repentance, divine judgment, on the crucified life – the cross, on knowing God and bearing good fruit, on the essential of personal holiness, on the holiness of the LORD, on the virgin birth and the divinity of the only begotten Son of God, and what He says concerning being ready for His return, etc. You were satisfied with having your ears tickled.
Instead of diligently, daily seeking the LORD for yourself in His Word, you abrogated that place to a mere man and your must repent now for not seeking the face of the LORD, for knowing Him for yourself – as He commanded you to do.
You must first begin with your own true, sincere repentance before the LORD – because it was 100% your own fault.
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
Today is your day to make all things right with the LORD. He loves you and He’s waiting….. “Coming unto me” saith the LORD (Matthew 11:28-30).
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Genuine DISCIPLES of Jesus are in God’s Word for themselves daily and so they NEVER get upset when some popular “Christian” fraud is exposed – because they never trusted in that wolf in the first place! No, they seek God for themselves in His Word daily – as all believers are instructed to do! (2 Timothy 2:15) It’s only those who have pushed the LORD away and therefore become dependent upon mere sinful men who get all up in arms when the beguiler they thought was a true Bible teacher is exposed.
In correctly assessing our being misled in the past, we must take personal responsibility for what happened and not put undue blame on the enemy’s emissaries whom he used to ensnared our souls. In truth, we were deceived due to our own lack of personally seeking the face of our LORD and not diligently studying His Words (1 Chronicles 16:11; 2 Timothy 2:15).
Walking with the LORD requires obeying Him by engaging in regular fellowship with others who are His children also. Loving Jesus includes loving His beloved people and that involves gathering with them to seek His holy face together (John 13:24-25; 1 John 4:7-8; 5:1). Getting in His Word, fellowshipping, eating together, having communion, and praying together are what the earliest believers did and God was greatly glorified (Acts 2:42-47). His divine favor was upon them.
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:42-47
Our LORD Jesus is greatly glorified when we gather together, even if just two of His people (Matthew 17:29). The LORD loves when His people get together to praise Him, to worship Him, to study and relish His Word, to pray to the Father, and to eat together in fellowship (Psalms 133:1-3; Acts 2:42-47). Such gathering is especially needeful in this late hour.
“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” Hebrews 3:13-15
If we don’t deliberately experience rich fellowship with Christ and His beloved people on and ongoing and regular basis, we will be hardened in heart and fall away. Beware and “Take heed to yourselves…” (Luke 21:34-36)
Each and every true follower of Jesus Christ, is responsible to obey Him in fellowshipping often with His beloved people and in loving them. Using the excuse that most leaders who pose as Christ’s representatives to justify not gathering with other Christians, is not wise. The person who uses false prophets as an excuse to stay out of fellowship with other Christians, will fall away and be lost.
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
If we’ve been deceived and hurt by a false teacher, we should not allow this to be our own downfall. In fact, if we are honest, we must admit that we ourselves were beguiled only because we did not discern correctly. So, we should take part of the responsibility upon ourselves.
Nowhere did the LORD instruct us to unduly follow a man anyway. We must have our own relationship with Christ and cease depending upon some man who comes on TV or stands up behind a pulpit in a building on Sunday mornings. We must grow us into Christ and depend only upon Him as we worship Him daily in spirit and in truth with those of like faith and like mind.
Any Christian who has average discernment insight, recognizes that there are “many false prophets”who have gone out among us, infiltrating that which claims to be representing Christ (Matthew 7:15; 1 John 4:1). This does not eliminate the need though for the life-giving fellowship Jesus ordains us to experience with Him and with His body. We must never use any excuse to neglect celebrating Jesus Christ together with other fellow believers.
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42
Getting Better not Bitter
The obvious fact is that most leaders in the modern church world are not being obedient to Jesus Christ by following the biblical model for leadership and fellowship. Yet, the true disciple must experience regular fellowship as prescribed in the New Testament Scriptures, dwelling together with other disciples in the richness of God’s Word (Colossians 3:16).
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
Learning to walk with the LORD daily requires that one cease depending on a Sunday morning program. That’s what some rightfully call “churchianity.” Listen, Jesus didn’t die to make His disciples good little church members, but rather to daily die to self, take up their cross, and follow Him in becoming fishers of men (Matthew 4:19; Luke 9:23-24, etc.).
Those of us who have been misled by a false teacher and false teachings must personally bear the responsibility for being deceived and not turn away from God Himself or be hardened in heart due to being beguiled for a season. We should repent and confess our own sins of not more diligently following Jesus as our supreme LORD and Savior which is what led to our hearts and minds being deceived.
The true wise-virgin disciple of Jesus who will endure to the end, keeping his vessel filled with the oil of God’s presence, must not be discouraged due to the epidemic of wolves in the modern church world, He must remain in vital union and fellowship with Jesus and His true Bride, though they be few (Luke 12:32. The need to fellowship with other true disciples of Jesus is extremely important, especially in this late hour as we look for Christ’s soon return for His Bride. So, the fact that there are wolves who have overtaken most pulpits in the modern church world, does not negate the need for each and every born again believer to experience authentic New Testament fellowship, staying in the Word, fellowshipping with, praising, and praying with other Christians. No pulpit or “church building” is needed and never was.
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

“O Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. 16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: Jeremiah 15:15-16
Dwelling “in the secret place of the most High”
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:1-2
“In the secret place of the Most High – Spoken probably in reference to the Holy of holies. He who enters legitimately there shall be covered with the cloud of God’s glory – the protection of the all-sufficient God. This was the privilege of the high priest only, under the law: but under the new covenant all believers in Christ have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; and those who thus enter are safe from every evil.” Adam Clarke
“[Psalms] 91:1, 2 Jesus is the One who in a preeminent way dwelt in the secret place of the Most High, and abode under the shadow of the Almighty. There never was a life like His. He lived in absolute, unbroken fellowship with God, His Father. He never acted in self-will but did only those things that the Father directed. Though He was perfect God, He was also perfect Man, and He lived His life on earth in utter and complete dependence on God. Without equivocation He could look up and say, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I will trust.” Believer’s Bible Commentary

Attend to My Words [podcast]

IF THE WORD isn’t flowing into you daily, you are falling away. Flood and fuel your heart and mind and body with the pure, the holy light of God’s Word daily and you will never famish! All darkness will be vanquished (Psalms 119:130). All who have been saved and yet aren’t in God’s Word and prayer daily – have rejected Christ, with no exception. Re-turn to the LORD prodigal. There’s no good outside of Christ the KING.
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130
ALL who are not in God’s written Word daily are not hearing from God, do not have God’s wisdom and direction, and are walking in darkness – 100%.
The feeding of Christ’s flock would integrally involve exhorting them to diligently study and walk in God’s Word themselves, daily (John 21:15-17). Isn’t this exactly what the apostle Paul told Timothy to do? Yes. He told his understudy to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
One of the ways we know who the false ministers are, is that they want people dependent on THEM, not God. So, they don’t constantly exhort the people to get into God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, for themselves. Run.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8
“He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. … My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:4, 20-23
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16
“Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
“Over the last 5-10 years I can see where He has done this for me already, but the problem is …. it’s not enough! I want even more! One hour of study and prayer in the morning is not enough!” Christine

“Reformed Theology“, is just a fancy way of saying ‘We know better than Paul, the old testament prophets, even David! And the very apostles who walked with Jesus must be unlearned men or liars.’ Nay, I will not say such a thing of my LORD and Saviour, Christ Jesus. Let God be true, and >every< man a liar.” Jonathan Crane
It’s “ungodly men” who mislead the gullible with the eternal security heresy, and the heretical doctrines and system of calvinism. Jude warned us of just that, as did the prophets (Jude 3-4; Jeremiah 23:17, etc.). Then Jude reminds us of God’s judgment upon His own covenant people who were saved out of Egypt (the world) and then “afterward destroyed.” Then Jude reminds us that God judged the angels, a third of them, who rebelled against Him and were terminated from His domain, Heaven (Isaiah 14:12-15; Luke 10:18; Revelation 12:7-12, etc.).
“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” Jude 4-6
The Book of Jude
Greeting
1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
Judgment on False Teachers
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
A Call to Persevere
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Doxology
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
