Fire and Brimstone?

“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” Psalms 50:22

Being engulfed in flames, consciously tormented for all eternity, is the future of all who die outside of fellowship with our Maker who is the Judge of our eternal souls and sent ……………… (John 3:16).

“Fire and brimstone”? JUST WHO WHO WHO came up with the term “fire and brimstone preacher”? Who uses those words in disdainful anger and spite toward those messengers they are persecuting? Is it not those who have heard the Word of the Gospel, know inside they are heading for that place of “fire and brimstone,” and have the conviction of the Holy Ghost haunting them?

Never cease to preach sin and its ultimate consequence – eternal hell, then he lake of fire. Never cease from telling the truth, testifying of our LORD and His blessed salvation. If you do, you give place to Satan to keep those souls bound in sin and headed straight for hell. The truth of this horrible place of the eternal judgment of God upon all wicked souls, is exactly what turns men to Christ.

“And of some have compassion, making a difference: ²³And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 22-23

BUT, BUT, BUT, what if some deny this truth about hell? – “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:3-4)

ANY person who is a true Christian, a true disciple of Jesus, preaches sin and hell and repentance (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). This truth alone reveals that most leaders today are false as Jesus and His apostles often warned (Matthew 7:13-15; 24:4-5, 11, 24, etc.). Anyone who removes these essential components of Christ’s Gospel, is counterfeit. They are willingly misled and following a false gospel.

“Whom we PREACH, WARNING every man, and TEACHING every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:28

Read your King James Bible daily and do it! Speak it in God’s love!

SIN, THE CROSS, THE BLOOD, REPENTANCE, FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE, HEAVEN, HELL, HOLINESS, THE CRUCIFIED LIFE … THESE ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS CAN NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL GOSPEL WITHOUT MAKING IT ANOTHER GOSPEL WHICH IS NOT ANOTHER GOSPEL BUT RATHER A FALSE GOSPEL WHICH WILL LEAD TO THIS PLACE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE (GALATIANS 1:6-9).

Where is Steve Jobs?

Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer. He gained the whole world if you will but seems to have lost his soul forever.

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. ³⁶For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ³⁷Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? ³⁸Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:35-38

According to his sister, Steve Jobs last words “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.” Sounds like Jobs was being introduced to the flames that will feed upon his conscious soul forever. The fires of eternal damnation await those who die outside of being born again into Jesus Christ. Nothing else will do. They await the eternally helpless and hopeless souls who choose to deny Christ His rightful place in their lives. No matter who you are or how religious you think you are or how “good” you think you are, you are in big trouble as a transgressor of the holy Law of your holy Maker and Judge.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.” Psalms 9:17-18

Like it or not, the Almighty, by reason of being the one and only Creator, has the right to send souls to hell. He owns all souls and needs no mere man’s permission to do as He wills (Ezekiel 18:4). He did tell us that He is just, that man is fallen by sin, and then came to be our Salvation being that He is unwilling that any go to hell (Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 16:7).

God sure is love and He’s also “Holy, holy, holy” and therefore can have no friendship or connection with those who remain in a state of unholiness (Isaiah 6:3; Hebrews 12:14; Revelation 4:8). The LORD clearly told us that in the state of sin a soul dies, in that state and the place He made for those in that state shall that soul abide forever.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11

Will God PUNISH the Wicked?

God will punish with everlasting fire all who refused to be saved and also all who were once saved and then backslid and died lukewarm or in sin.

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, ⁸In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

YOU are going to hell unless you repent and receive Christ, giving your whole heart and being over to Him. Only you can make that choice.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

WHY IS YOUR CREATOR AND JUDGE GOING TO SEND YOU TO THIS LAKE OF FIRE NEVER TO HAVE A SECOND CHANCE TO ESCAPE? IT’S SIMPLE: HE IS “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY” AND YOU ARE A SINNER. YOU HAVE GROSSLY SINNED AGAINST HIM BY LYING, STEALING, LUSTING, COVETING, FORNICATING, NOT HONORING THE PARENTS HE GAVE YOU, USING HIS HOLY NAME IN VAIN, NOT FORGIVING OTHERS, AND HATING (ISAIAH 6:3; REVELATION 4:8).

“TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME” – Jesus warns all men through something that happened to two certain men:

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:19-31

The way the once “rich man” chose to spend his money while on earth clearly demonstrated, revealed where his heart truly was. When he died an went to hell, he was naked, had no money to his name and even if he did, he’d never be able to buy his way out of hell. He made his choice on earth by the way he lives. The same is true for each of us… we spend our money is a direct reflection of the priorities of our hearts.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Want to see where your heart truly is in the eyes of the Judge of your eternal soul? – Just look at where you are choosing to put the money you temporarily have stewardship over in this life.

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38

If you are back-slidden, you are going to this same lake of fire and it’s going to be worse off for you than if you had never been saved (2 Peter 2:20-22). It’s time to repent.

Praying he stepped into the glories of Christ. I think your being far to presumptive here. The truth is we don’t know.

My Response:

I hope you are correct but the burden of proof is upon you to show where Jobs named the name of Jesus Christ, the name whereby we must be saved or we will go to hell (Acts 4:12). It’s a nice thought and yet very presumptive to think Jobs went to Heaven unless there is clear evidence that He repented and called upon the name of Jesus Christ. Having good thoughts about God is something all men have (Romans 1:19). That won’t save anyone as even “the devils also believe, and tremble.”

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Well, Jesus taught that most men go to hell and with Steve Jobs own sister repeating what Jobs said in his dying breath, it seems clear that he wasn’t calling upon the LORD Jesus but rather alarmed.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Being that Christ taught that most men will reject Him and go to hell, I lean in the direction Jesus pointed.

Judas died and went to eternal hell, irrevocably as every lost soul shall experience (Acts 1:25). Judas is the “son of perdition” and “perdition” means damnation (John 17:12).

Judas was even sent out with the other apostles to heal the sick, raise the dead, and preach Christ’s Gospel (Matthew 10:1-8). He was real, then backslid and is in hell (Acts 1:16-25).
The Truth about Judas

“And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones (not 11), judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” (Matthew 19:28)

Judas wasn’t kept and Jesus specifically and irrefutably promised him an eternal throne in Heaven – Matthew 19:28. “TWELVE” not eleven~!

At the time of this divinely-given promise, it is more than abundantly clear that Judas was eternally secure, otherwise Christ would have never given this promise to the “twelve” which includes Judas Iscariot (Matthew 19:28). It is only after this that Judas allowed iniquity in his heart and by his own deliberate will fell by his own iniquity (Acts 1:25; Heb. 3:12-15).

“Saying, I (Judas) have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.” Matthew 27:4

“Eternal security”? Don’t kid yourself. Moral cowards who refuse to take person accountability for their every thought, motive, and deed love this lie. Satan’s first lie – which led to the fall of mankind (Gen 2:17; 3:4).

THE AMERICAN DREAM DELUSION: Are You a “Dream Chaser” or a Jesus Seeker? [podcast]

Jesus didn’t come to the earth to seek His own will or dream His own dreams but rather to do the will of His Father.

“And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:41-42

Christ’s apostle Paul declared:

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14

Regrettably, in today’s modern church world, we so many who seek their own vision and destiny. They have not yet laid down their lives and so divine grace is not enabling them. There is NO cross. Jesus was fully submitted to His Father whereas most who use these buzz words today are not also preaching the essential cross, the crucified life.

God has given His people dreams since Genesis and still does today (Genesis 37; Acts 2:17, etc.). Yet a dream, in biblical definition, is from the LORD and for His glory and purpose (1 Corinthians 1:29-31). A dream, gift, vision, or prophecy from God is not for the self-serving purposes and agenda of men and women who are not crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20; 1 Peter 4:10-11). Many we see boasting of a dream, gift, or vision today are self-glorying. Beware.

These who chase destiny are missing the cross which is central to the Gospel friend. Running around trying to fulfill our destiny is not of God. Laying down our lives – death and burial – assures us that GOD, not us, is leading and raising us up to do His will.

WHAT I ASKED FOR, by a disciple:

(a slave of righteousness—Romans 6:18)

“I was a sinner deep in darkness. I did not ask to be blessed—but delivered. I did not ask to be a king, for I was a knave (untrustworthy, deceitful). I did not ask to be wealthy and comfortable, but to be delivered. I did not ask to be an elite, I asked to be forgiven and saved. I did not ask to become God’s pampered brat, I asked to be accepted by Him. When He saved me, I did not ask, ‘Lord give me power to work miracles!’ I asked Him to do whatever He desired to do with me. I did not join His team, I fully surrendered to His Lordship. I became a vessel in the hand of the King of kings. I did not ask to be loved, but His love poured into me with joy unspeakable. No matter what life hands me or what people do to or say about me, I got what I asked for. I was once a sinner and now I’m accepted in God’s Beloved (Ephesians 1:6).”

BUZZ WORD ALERT: “God is positioning you!” is the cry of many false prophets who paint an un-biblical picture as they misuse Scripture, taking it out of context – to exploit and give false hope to their prey for their own self-serving purposes (Philippians 3:18-19; 2 Peter 2:1-3). But what is biblical positioning? What is the biblical position on positioning? Did Jesus die on that cross to position you to be rich in this world or the next? (Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 12, 16, etc.) Notice that modern wolves who use this “positioning” buzz word to trick the ungrounded NEVER use this verse below which is paramount to our POSITION with God:

“And hath raised us up together, and made us SIT TOGETHER (our position in Christ!) in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:6

Because Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of His Father in Heaven, means that we His beloved blood-bought people are in Him and also positionally seated with Him in glory!

“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1:20

Your position IN CHRIST is the position that anchors your soul in heavenly places IN CHRIST!

Jesus came to die and sent us to die and if we don’t we are not following Him (Luke 9:23-24). Seeking our own destiny is the antitheses of dying – it’s Christ-denying and completely self-serving.

Tracking the destruction of people and nations. History sure is repeating itself, but is it repeating itself in our lives?

Regardless of where we are personally in this, we must be transformed out of a worldly mindset and into kingdom thinking (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23-24). Some who have resources in this world believe this makes them rich. Not. Proverbs 13:17. Some who have little in this world suffer the distress of thinking that means they are not important. Not. The Prosperity of Fools | Wealth Wasted on the Worship of Self | Seeking God

It’s essential to remain in and with God’s Word and feeding His sheep, remaining steadfast, soundly grounded in divine truth and not be swept away with the spurious and grossly overplayed dreams and visions of mere men and their end times scenarios, ministries, etc. Hysteria fills the hearts of so many professing Christians who jump from one prophetic word, dream teller, story teller to another (2 Timothy 4:2-4). This keeps them suspended instead of grounded in Christ.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” Ephesians 4:11-14

Hysteria fills the hearts of so many professing Christians who jump from one prophetic word, dream teller, story teller to another (2 Timothy 4:2-4). This keeps them suspended instead of grounded in Christ.

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
