Fire and Brimstone?

“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” Psalms 50:22

Being engulfed in flames, consciously tormented for all eternity, is the future of all who die outside of fellowship with our Maker who is the Judge of our eternal souls and sent ……………… (John 3:16).

“Fire and brimstone”? JUST WHO WHO WHO came up with the term “fire and brimstone preacher”? Who uses those words in disdainful anger and spite toward those messengers they are persecuting? Is it not those who have heard the Word of the Gospel, know inside they are heading for that place of “fire and brimstone,” and have the conviction of the Holy Ghost haunting them?

Never cease to preach sin and its ultimate consequence – eternal hell, then he lake of fire. Never cease from telling the truth, testifying of our LORD and His blessed salvation. If you do, you give place to Satan to keep those souls bound in sin and headed straight for hell. The truth of this horrible place of the eternal judgment of God upon all wicked souls, is exactly what turns men to Christ.

“And of some have compassion, making a difference: ²³And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 22-23

BUT, BUT, BUT, what if some deny this truth about hell? – “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:3-4)

ANY person who is a true Christian, a true disciple of Jesus, preaches sin and hell and repentance (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). This truth alone reveals that most leaders today are false as Jesus and His apostles often warned (Matthew 7:13-15; 24:4-5, 11, 24, etc.). Anyone who removes these essential components of Christ’s Gospel, is counterfeit. They are willingly misled and following a false gospel.

“Whom we PREACH, WARNING every man, and TEACHING every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:28

Read your King James Bible daily and do it! Speak it in God’s love!

SIN, THE CROSS, THE BLOOD, REPENTANCE, FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE, HEAVEN, HELL, HOLINESS, THE CRUCIFIED LIFE … THESE ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS CAN NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL GOSPEL WITHOUT MAKING IT ANOTHER GOSPEL WHICH IS NOT ANOTHER GOSPEL BUT RATHER A FALSE GOSPEL WHICH WILL LEAD TO THIS PLACE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE (GALATIANS 1:6-9).

Where is Steve Jobs?

Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer. He gained the whole world if you will but seems to have lost his soul forever.

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. ³⁶For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ³⁷Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? ³⁸Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:35-38

According to his sister, Steve Jobs last words “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.” Sounds like Jobs was being introduced to the flames that will feed upon his conscious soul forever. The fires of eternal damnation await those who die outside of being born again into Jesus Christ. Nothing else will do. They await the eternally helpless and hopeless souls who choose to deny Christ His rightful place in their lives. No matter who you are or how religious you think you are or how “good” you think you are, you are in big trouble as a transgressor of the holy Law of your holy Maker and Judge.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.” Psalms 9:17-18

Like it or not, the Almighty, by reason of being the one and only Creator, has the right to send souls to hell. He owns all souls and needs no mere man’s permission to do as He wills (Ezekiel 18:4). He did tell us that He is just, that man is fallen by sin, and then came to be our Salvation being that He is unwilling that any go to hell (Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 16:7).

God sure is love and He’s also “Holy, holy, holy” and therefore can have no friendship or connection with those who remain in a state of unholiness (Isaiah 6:3; Hebrews 12:14; Revelation 4:8). The LORD clearly told us that in the state of sin a soul dies, in that state and the place He made for those in that state shall that soul abide forever.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11

Will God PUNISH the Wicked?

God will punish with everlasting fire all who refused to be saved and also all who were once saved and then backslid and died lukewarm or in sin.

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, ⁸In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

YOU are going to hell unless you repent and receive Christ, giving your whole heart and being over to Him. Only you can make that choice.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

WHY IS YOUR CREATOR AND JUDGE GOING TO SEND YOU TO THIS LAKE OF FIRE NEVER TO HAVE A SECOND CHANCE TO ESCAPE? IT’S SIMPLE: HE IS “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY” AND YOU ARE A SINNER. YOU HAVE GROSSLY SINNED AGAINST HIM BY LYING, STEALING, LUSTING, COVETING, FORNICATING, NOT HONORING THE PARENTS HE GAVE YOU, USING HIS HOLY NAME IN VAIN, NOT FORGIVING OTHERS, AND HATING (ISAIAH 6:3; REVELATION 4:8).

“TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME” – Jesus warns all men through something that happened to two certain men:

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:19-31

The way the once “rich man” chose to spend his money while on earth clearly demonstrated, revealed where his heart truly was. When he died an went to hell, he was naked, had no money to his name and even if he did, he’d never be able to buy his way out of hell. He made his choice on earth by the way he lives. The same is true for each of us… we spend our money is a direct reflection of the priorities of our hearts.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Want to see where your heart truly is in the eyes of the Judge of your eternal soul? – Just look at where you are choosing to put the money you temporarily have stewardship over in this life.

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38

If you are back-slidden, you are going to this same lake of fire and it’s going to be worse off for you than if you had never been saved (2 Peter 2:20-22). It’s time to repent.

YOUR PRAYER: Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Here and now I confess my sin – that I have serve the god of self, I’ve had self as an idol, taking Your place, the place of worship due only to Thee dear LORD. Praying he stepped into the glories of Christ. I think your being far to presumptive here. The truth is we don’t know.

My Response:

I hope you are correct but the burden of proof is upon you to show where Jobs named the name of Jesus Christ, the name whereby we must be saved or we will go to hell (Acts 4:12). It’s a nice thought and yet very presumptive to think Jobs went to Heaven unless there is clear evidence that He repented and called upon the name of Jesus Christ. Having good thoughts about God is something all men have (Romans 1:19). That won’t save anyone as even “the devils also believe, and tremble.”

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Well, Jesus taught that most men go to hell and with Steve Jobs own sister repeating what Jobs said in his dying breath, it seems clear that he wasn’t calling upon the LORD Jesus but rather alarmed.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Being that Christ taught that most men will reject Him and go to hell, I lean in the direction Jesus pointed.

Just WHAT do we need to “remember” about “Lot’s wife”? (Luke 17:32)

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” Revelation 12:11

Will you finish with joy?

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

IN previous generations, young men and women gave up their whole life of luxury in America to go to a foreign land to preach the Gospel of Christ. Today we have a generation of professing “Christians” who won’t so much as give up a penny to support the preaching of the Gospel of the glorious Savior they claim to be saved by.

Remember how our LORD Jesus taught that those who love and therefore are obedient to Him, will hear Him welcome them into glory with “Well done … enter thou into the joy of thy lord”? Those who are truly known of God prove their love for Him by the way they steward the resources He gave them. Loving not our Lives unto the Death.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21

Paul counted, considered, viewed everything he’d gained in this world to be but “dung” in comparison to Christ, then said:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14

Luke 17:28-33

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Attention Eternal Security Adherents

The fact that your unrepentant heart wants something to be true, does not make it true.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

It simply doesn’t matter how seriously and sincerely you are in believing the fairytale myth of “eternal security” or “once saved always saved” … you are dead wrong and so are the demonic wolves who taught this heresy to you. Reply:

Hi Tammy. Yes, it sure does take money to publish the original Gospel, namely on certain platforms, that is, communication mediums. Yet, we are often warned of “false prophets” who “make merchandise” of people for their own self-serving purposes (2 Peter 2:1-3; Philippians 3:18-19; Isaiah 56:10-12, etc.). The word of faith wolves are NOT preaching the original Gospel as given us in the New Testament Scriptures and so they are raising money under false pretense and to make themselves rich on that money – not to spread the original Gospel of Jesus which begins with the repent to “repent.” (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Acts 2:38; 3:19, etc.). We are actually mandated to “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints” in the original Gospel and so, we are to “contend” against these wolves, not fund them! To fund these deceivers is to bid them God speed and become the enemy of the LORD (2 John 2:7-11; 2 Chronicles 19:2).

Overcoming the Antichrists Among You [podcast]

Anti as in antichrist means in place of: It’s the “spirit of antichrist” working through Satan’s false ministers that robs the glory from Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 11:12-15; Colossians 1:18; 2:8-10, 18-19; 1 John 4:1-3, etc.).

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” 1 John 2:18

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” 1 John 2:22

“And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:3

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.” 1 John 2:18-19

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” 2 John 1:7

We know when “that spirit of antichrist” is working through a rebel when he speaks contrary to God’s Word (John 8:47; 1 John 4:3). “That spirit of antichrist” – anti (in place of) Christ is anything that contradicts His what God’s Word says, working to subvert divinely stated truth while posing as Christ’s minister (2 Corinthians 11:12-15).

OBSERVATION: Jesus, the prophets, and Christ’s apostles never sought to change or reform the false leaders. They rebuked and exposed them and went about the Father’s kingdom business. See Jeremiah 23; Ezekiel 34; Matthew 15:14; 23; Acts; 2 Peter 2; Jude 1. There was the hope of the false leader repenting yet only after being rebuked (Titus 1:13).

It’s a futile endeavor, a waste of the precious resources of our time and energy.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Matthew 15:14
