Fire and Brimstone?

“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” Psalms 50:22

Being engulfed in flames, consciously tormented for all eternity, is the future of all who die outside of fellowship with our Maker who is the Judge of our eternal souls and sent ……………… (John 3:16).

“Fire and brimstone”? JUST WHO WHO WHO came up with the term “fire and brimstone preacher”? Who uses those words in disdainful anger and spite toward those messengers they are persecuting? Is it not those who have heard the Word of the Gospel, know inside they are heading for that place of “fire and brimstone,” and have the conviction of the Holy Ghost haunting them?

Never cease to preach sin and its ultimate consequence – eternal hell, then he lake of fire. Never cease from telling the truth, testifying of our LORD and His blessed salvation. If you do, you give place to Satan to keep those souls bound in sin and headed straight for hell. The truth of this horrible place of the eternal judgment of God upon all wicked souls, is exactly what turns men to Christ.

“And of some have compassion, making a difference: ²³And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 22-23

BUT, BUT, BUT, what if some deny this truth about hell? – “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:3-4)

ANY person who is a true Christian, a true disciple of Jesus, preaches sin and hell and repentance (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). This truth alone reveals that most leaders today are false as Jesus and His apostles often warned (Matthew 7:13-15; 24:4-5, 11, 24, etc.). Anyone who removes these essential components of Christ’s Gospel, is counterfeit. They are willingly misled and following a false gospel.

“Whom we PREACH, WARNING every man, and TEACHING every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:28

Where is Steve Jobs?

Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer. He gained the whole world if you will but seems to have lost his soul forever.

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. ³⁶For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ³⁷Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? ³⁸Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:35-38

According to his sister, Steve Jobs last words “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.” Sounds like Jobs was being introduced to the flames that will feed upon his conscious soul forever. The fires of eternal damnation await those who die outside of being born again into Jesus Christ. Nothing else will do. They await the eternally helpless and hopeless souls who choose to deny Christ His rightful place in their lives. No matter who you are or how religious you think you are or how “good” you think you are, you are in big trouble as a transgressor of the holy Law of your holy Maker and Judge.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.” Psalms 9:17-18

Like it or not, the Almighty, by reason of being the one and only Creator, has the right to send souls to hell. He owns all souls and needs no mere man’s permission to do as He wills (Ezekiel 18:4). He did tell us that He is just, that man is fallen by sin, and then came to be our Salvation being that He is unwilling that any go to hell (Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 16:7).

God sure is love and He’s also “Holy, holy, holy” and therefore can have no friendship or connection with those who remain in a state of unholiness (Isaiah 6:3; Hebrews 12:14; Revelation 4:8). The LORD clearly told us that in the state of sin a soul dies, in that state and the place He made for those in that state shall that soul abide forever.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11

Will God PUNISH the Wicked?

God will punish with everlasting fire all who refused to be saved and also all who were once saved and then backslid and died lukewarm or in sin.

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, ⁸In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

YOU are going to hell unless you repent and receive Christ, giving your whole heart and being over to Him. Only you can make that choice.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

WHY IS YOUR CREATOR AND JUDGE GOING TO SEND YOU TO THIS LAKE OF FIRE NEVER TO HAVE A SECOND CHANCE TO ESCAPE? IT’S SIMPLE: HE IS “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY” AND YOU ARE A SINNER. YOU HAVE GROSSLY SINNED AGAINST HIM BY LYING, STEALING, LUSTING, COVETING, FORNICATING, NOT HONORING THE PARENTS HE GAVE YOU, USING HIS HOLY NAME IN VAIN, NOT FORGIVING OTHERS, AND HATING (ISAIAH 6:3; REVELATION 4:8).

“TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME” – Jesus warns all men through something that happened to two certain men:

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:19-31

The way the once “rich man” chose to spend his money while on earth clearly demonstrated, revealed where his heart truly was. When he died an went to hell, he was naked, had no money to his name and even if he did, he’d never be able to buy his way out of hell. He made his choice on earth by the way he lives. The same is true for each of us… we spend our money is a direct reflection of the priorities of our hearts.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Want to see where your heart truly is in the eyes of the Judge of your eternal soul? – Just look at where you are choosing to put the money you temporarily have stewardship over in this life.

If you are back-slidden, you are going to this same lake of fire and it’s going to be worse off for you than if you had never been saved (2 Peter 2:20-22). It’s time to repent.

Praying he stepped into the glories of Christ. I think your being far to presumptive here. The truth is we don’t know.

My Response:

I hope you are correct but the burden of proof is upon you to show where Jobs named the name of Jesus Christ, the name whereby we must be saved or we will go to hell (Acts 4:12). It’s a nice thought and yet very presumptive to think Jobs went to Heaven unless there is clear evidence that He repented and called upon the name of Jesus Christ. Having good thoughts about God is something all men have (Romans 1:19). That won’t save anyone as even “the devils also believe, and tremble.”

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Well, Jesus taught that most men go to hell and with Steve Jobs own sister repeating what Jobs said in his dying breath, it seems clear that he wasn’t calling upon the LORD Jesus but rather alarmed.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Being that Christ taught that most men will reject Him and go to hell, I lean in the direction Jesus pointed.

Jezebel The Depths of Satan [video]

The severe warning Jesus gives in Revelation 2:20-24 must be wholeheartedly embraced and executed. His main rebuke was to the men who allowed a woman to function as an elder which is forbidden by the LORD (1 Timothy 2:11-12).

WHO’s in Control?

“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” Luke 19:27

Jezebels are usually female who refuse to truly repent, lay down their lives in this world, and live the crucified life (Luke 9:23-25). They are therefore the very enemies of Christ and will soon be slain down into eternal damnation irrevocably (Luke 19:27). Some of them are demon possessed witches who call themselves (self-appointed) prophetesses. Witchcraft is control and the reason some are possessed with this witchcraft is that they’ve not given control of their life to the One who gave that life. Repentance needed (Luke 13:3; 19:27). Jesus addresses it in Revelation 2:20-24.

“The problem with women is they do not want to submit. I have seen this over and over. That very word angers them greatly. They cannot submit because they have not fully submitted to God. Once you give complete control of your life to God, your heart changes and you no longer need to be in control. It is then easy to follow God’s line of authority. It’s your heart’s desire to please the Lord and your husband. Because you love God with your whole heart, soul and mind. Matt. 22:37-38.” Karen Cochran

According to Jesus, it was the men who allowed the jezebel to function in the role of an elder which God forbids and this was what He calls “the depths of SATAN.” (Revelation 2:20-24)

“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 1 Timothy 2:11-12

Jezebellian heresies are epidemic as we see by the rebellious women who spread and defend them today, in this late hour.

Their own words are in full on defiance of the Word of God. All of these very people vainly believe they are Christ’s but sadly are not (John 8:47).

As was the case in the Garden, Satan specifically targets the girls, the women – to derail them from God’s ordained purpose for the women (Genesis 2:18; 3:1-17; 1 Timothy 2:9-14; Titus 2:1-5; 1 Peter 3:1-7, etc.). Beware!

ANY person who puts their own supposed calling before the truth of God and body of Christ is completely self-serving and has no concern for the LORD or His body whatsoever. In fact, such a person is completely departed from the LORD and will bring great destruction on the body of Christ if allowed – if suffered. This is exactly what Jesus addresses in Thyatira and calls it “the depths of SATAN” himself (Revelation 2:20-24). In their self-deceived hearts, they are sure that God has called them to minister in a way He clearly forbids – just like the Jezebel who was allowed by the Ahabs in Thyatira who was self-appointed – “calleth HERSELF a prophetess.” (Revelation 2:20-24) Repent now.

Revelation 2:20-24 is about a certain self-appointed woman who was allowed by the spineless men in Thyatira to operate out of the biblically-stated order for women in the church setting.

“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:11-14

A prequalification for eldership in Christ’s body is “HUSBAND of one wife” which no woman could possibly be (1 Timothy 3:2).

Classic case of a jezebel lashing out when the Word of GOD corrects her (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Her rebellion is against God. Jezebel is utterly rebellious. She hates what God’s Word says and so the demons that control jezebels will lash out in personal attacks against the men who stand on the truth unwaveringly (such as did Elijah whom Jezebel sought to kill).

“Feminism” is nothing new. It is an ancient ploy of the enemy of all souls who has come to steal, to kill, and to destroy but Jesus came to give us life more abundantly (John 10:10). 2,500 years ago feminism was perpetrated by an evil woman named jezebel, the wife of one of Israel’s kings (Ahab). She was pure evil and so are those murderous witches who’ve perpetrated feminism on women today – which is contrary to our Creator’s design for women. Proverbs 31 is a good place to begin in discovering what God has ordained women to be. It’s a huge blessing that we have His Word in tangible form so that we are not deceived and are in His perfect will and ready to meet the LORD.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105

Your life will never make sense until you give it back to the One who gave it to you. You will never be happy outside of God’s will, never. You will never see a happy jezebel, feminist, period.

It all begins with repenting and placing our faith in Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)

JESUS addressed Jezebel and Ahab (weak moral coward men) and so if you have a problem with that, you have a problem with the Son of God. It seems to be the very jezebels Jesus would address today who are convicted, unrepentant, and react viciously when this topic is communicated.

In fact, Christ likened jezebel to the very “depths of SATAN” – which He did with nothing or no one else, ever!

Revelation 2:20-24

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I WILL KILL HER CHILDREN WITH DEATH; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known THE DEPTHS OF SATAN, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.” Revelation 2:20-24

Recently, an unrepentant heretic protested that I was using Scripture to expose jezebel. Such a man refused to be corrected by the Word of God and was swiftly rejected as a swine (Titus 3:10-11; Matthew 7:1-5). Such a man embodies the whole root problem of the sin Jesus addressed in Thyatira – where weak biblicly illiterate moral coward men allow jezebel to function (Revelation 2:20-24).

These self-serving devils, along with jezebels they facilitate and defend could care less how many lives and marriages and families are destroyed by allowing this. Jesus says “I will kill her children with death” and likens this to “the depths of Satan.” (Revelation 2:20-24).

A Fatherless Generation is the Product of Jezebel/Ahab

Increasingly we see a generation of evil doers who despise and attack all authority.

We can witness the fruit of this evil working among us. For example, we have young people murdering others with no remorse…. crime is on the rise. The fruit of women being taken out of their ordained place, the home, to take care of their husband and children (Titus 2:3-5).

With now over 80% of divorces being initiated by the women, and usually for petty, non-biblical reasons, we see children raised primarily by the mother – that is, without their dads. And because the courts give the women everything, including the man’s money, women are lured by their own sin, Satan, and our government to divorce their husbands, to betray God and destroy their own children

Men have everything to lose. Women have everything to gain (so it would seem) and this is how attorneys, and our wicked government encourages divorces. Oh, and all the judges and attorneys get a percentage. The destruction of the jezebels in our nation is inestimable. The irreparable fall out is beyond measure and especially on the children. – “I will kill her children with death.” (Revelation 2:23) When women are allowed by men to assume places of authority God ordained to be held by men, the fall out is inestimable. As was the case in Thyatira, the men were to blame for allowing it – for not doing their duties and allowing a woman to do such! Cursed!

Children raised by their mothers, without their father, in single-parent homes constitute:

63% of teen suicides;
90% of runaways and homeless children;
85% of behavior disorder patients;
71% of high school dropouts;
75% of teenagers in substance abuse rehab centers;
85% of young prison inmates.

The devil, in this age of the rise of jezebel, does nothing except viciously and systematically attack and degrade men, seeking to emasculate them. Example: 90% of the marches and ribbons are pink, never blue! Selah. Satan seeks to enthrone the woman to rule over the men which is a perversion of the order of God. Is this not what we see in Thyatira – “the depths of SATAN.” ? (Revelation 2:20-24) To destroy the fathers is to destroy lives and generations. When we disobey God, we withdraw ourselves from His blessing. And, anyone who separates children and their parents without real warranted cause, works evil in the eyes of God.

One writer notes:

“Redemptive withdrawal though is God withdrawing His protection from us and allowing the devil to attack us (the cross). He does this for a redemptive purpose. He suffers with all victims of this satanic attack. And thru this process evil self-destructs or one evil destroys another evil.”

Notice the divine promise of the very last words of the Old Testament Scriptures:

“And he shall turn the heart of the FATHERS to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6

As God ordained, children gain their identity from their fathers and to separate this relationship is to leave children without identity.

“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” Proverbs 14:1

The devil is very busy perverting, inverting the roles – that’s his job (Isaiah 5:20). This has destroyed relationships in this country.

WHEN and if a woman is truly serving God, and is married, her husband is her head, her headship and she never violates that marriage and its divine order. She will never disdain, disrespect, manipulate, or seek to control her husband (Proverbs 14:1). The order of the household is divine and is non-negotiable. “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” (Ephesians 5:22-23) Then, in the following verses, it says that the man is to give his life for his wife as Christ did for His church…. and that doesn’t mean the wife is to play that situation for her own self-serving agenda. Only a jezebel would do such and there won’t be even 1 jezebel in Heaven (2 Kings 9:33; Revelation 2:20-24). It’s past time we denounce all the old wives fables that we’ve in the past laughed at and yet they were insidious, wicked. You know like “he might be the head but I’m the neck and I turn the neck where I wish.” Pure witchcraft.

Not one time do we see a male called jezebel in the Bible. Men can certainly and do certainly manifest the works of the flesh and yet jezebel is always female in the Bible – where’s she’s allowed to operate outside of the order of God in the family or church. That’s what we see in the OT and NT. The Old and New Testament jezebels were both women, 100%. …. “that woman Jezebel.” Rev 2:20 Yet Jesus blamed the men for allowing such corruption against His ordained order for men and women (Rev 2:20-24).

Beware of the "Intercessors" [podcast]

What could possibly sound more innocent than an intercessory prayer group, right? Recently, a woman claiming and announcing herself to be “an intercessory prayer warrior for 30 years” sent me a welcome DM. Here’s the reply she was sent: There’s no such thing as an “intercessory prayer warrior” designated or appointed in the New Testament body of Christ. That premise is a bunch of witchcraft used by satan’s jezebels to infiltrate and destroy among God’s people. Repent now. WHO do WE say that Jesus is?

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8), and He is asking us the exact questions today that He asked His disciples while on earth.

Jesus is asking each of us “What are others saying of Me and Who do you say that I am?” In other words, perhaps He’s asking us “In a world of many swirling ideas about Me, who do you say that I am – who do you know Me to be?”

If you were asked right now to give a 5 minute talk about the uniqueness and exclusivity of Jesus Christ from the Bible, could you do it?

“The doctrine of Christ” is revealed in “the RECORD that God gave of his Son” (2 John 9; 1 John 5:10).

If we don’t believe that Jesus is who the Bible says He is then we cannot be saved. Who does the Bible tell us that Jesus Christ is?

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he (“the mighty God” prophesied Messiah Isaiah 9:6-7), ye shall die in your sins.” John 8:24

“The doctrine of Christ” informs us of who He is (2 John 9).

The very first Messianic prophecy: Of necessity, from the very first declaration of God to fallen mankind, His promise to save us from our now fallen state, the virgin birth was asserted as a necessity….

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15

As we know, “her seed,” the “seed” in Mary’s womb was God the Father’s miracle of virgin birth, the eternal Word Jesus Christ made flesh to dwell among us and die to save us, fallen mankind (John 1:10, 14; Galatians 4:4, etc.).

The Messiah that was yet to appear, to come to the earth to die for the sins of the world, had to be divine – Isaiah the prophet foretold that the Messiah would be “the mighty GOD” (Isaiah 9:6).

“Her seed” – Women do not have seed. The man, the father, has the seed. The seed of the woman was going to be by God the Father in Mary…. A divine miracle that never had nor will happen again. “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (GOD with us) (Isaiah 7:14).

The fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:21-23).

Jesus Christ is the God man. – “The Son of man” means God’s man to redeem man.

“…his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.” John 5:18

The Sacred Substance, the Central Theme of all of Holy Scripture

Jesus Christ came to the earth exactly how and when the “more sure word of prophecy”, the Scriptures, foretold that He would come and to fulfill the Messianic prophecies of Himself to the exact detail (2 Peter 1:19-21).

“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, 8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:7-8

If we truly love Christ, will we not search, read, and study the LORD Jesus Christ…. ?

IF we miss Christ in studying His Word, we have missed all. As is clear from our LORD’s interaction and rebuke of the false religionists of His day, this is quite possible. In fact, it’s clear by what Jesus said that we can know the Scriptures and not the Savior. We can know the words of God without knowing the God of that Word.

John 5:39-47

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

IF doctrine weren’t important, explain this….

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not (does not remain) in the DOCTRINE of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” 2 John 9

The only way we can be assured we are following the Jesus of the Bible and not “another Jesus” is to ascertain that we are established in “the doctrine of Christ” which is simply what the Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ the Messiah.

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2 Corinthians 11:4

HOW do we know that the coming of Jesus is at hand? Jesus warns. When asked He tells us that he first sign of His soon return will be the proliferation, the invasion of “MANY false prophets”:

“The disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. … 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. … 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:3-5, 11, 24

“The Doctrine of Christ”

51 times the Bible uses the word “doctrine,” and the central truth of biblical “doctrine” is what Scripture tells us about Jesus, the sacred substance of the Scriptures Himself, the eternal Word of God – Jesus Christ.

Christology chapters of note to pour over regularly: John 1; Colossians 1; Hebrews 1.

Beloved saints, make sure you are drilling down on “the doctrine of Christ” – laying the foundation that will stand against the evil winds of false doctrine that is being peddled by the vilest and most popular wolves on this planet (Ephesians 4:14-15; Hebrews 13:9, etc.).

The Bible phrase “the doctrine of Christ” refers by divine priority, plainly to Himself as the divine Person, the divine Word, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is revealed as God’s eternal Word, as the Messiah, LORD, Creator, Sustainer, and Great High Priest, Jesus Christ. It seems only after these biblical facts about Christ that “the doctrine of Christ” would then apply to our repenting and putting our whole faith in Christ for salvation (Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:21, etc.).

Say it aloud: “the doctrine of Christ.” What saith the Holy Scriptures of Christ?

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not (does not remain) in THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” 2 John 9

So what does this verse (above) mean? It means that you are going to hell irrevocably if you don’t remain grounded, holding to, embracing what the Bible says about Christ, the Messiah.

In the context of the above cited verse, 2 John 9, the apostle John is warning us about the “MANY deceivers” and to be careful not to “lose …. those things” we know of Christ – lest we “abideth not in the doctrine of Christ” which will result in us having not God at all, being an apostate lost soul. Also he warns of bidding Godspeed to the antichrist’s who peddle “another Jesus” – lest you go to Hell (be also judged) with that antichrist who preaches “another Jesus,” one that is not according to the biblical “doctrine of Christ.” See also 2 Corinthians 11:4.

2 John 7-11

“7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

Of “the doctrine of Christ” one writer notes:

“In the Gospel of John, the apostle had already written that God’s word is truth (John 17:17). He also proclaimed that Jesus Himself (who is Deity – John 1:1) was the truth (John 14:6). It is clear from his gospel that if we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments (John 14:15; 15:14). We must also receive the truth that Jesus is deity who came in the flesh (John 1:14; 1 John 4:2-3). In his letter to the elect lady, John reiterates what he already stated in his gospel, namely, that the doctrine of Christ is composed of (1) Jesus’ commandments/doctrine which we are to obey and (2) Jesus’ deity.”

Example: John MacArthur is teaching that there is nothing special about the blood of Jesus. How anyone can still listen to that diabolical wolf is beyond belief. Yes he says a lot of good stuff which alone makes him even more insidious a tool of Satan. Say this Word from God aloud here and now beloved of God: Just “A LITTLE leaven leaveneth (ruins) the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9). This biblical phrase, statement refers to false doctrine and sin (1 Corinthians 5:6). And false doctrine IS sin.
