“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:19-21

In a feigned and disingenuous attempt to appear like they are defending the faith of the original Gospel, the OSAS-er will diligently preach that Christ’s sacrifice was perfect – “once.” (Hebrews 10:12) They rightfully embrace the truth that Jesus offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,” and yet they believe that because Jesus at one place and time – on that cross – paid the perfect price, then they have unalterable, eternal security, without condition, that is, regardless of whether they continue to follow Christ to the end of their lives or not. And enduring to the end requires denial of the self-life and taking up the cross daily (Hebrews 10:12; Matthew 16:24-25; Luke 9:23-24). And yes, Christ’s sacrifice sure was “finished” or final and perfect and His salvation is “eternal salvation,” yet it’s also forfeitable (John 19:30; Hebrews 5:9). But those who are serving self and simply want to use Jesus to miss hell and get to Heaven don’t want to hear of His conditions. They aren’t interested because they don’t wish to get to know Him, but only to selfishly use Him to get what they want. This same Son of God who died “once” for our sins and said “It is finished” on that cross, also invented the term “fall away” so that means it’s possible, period (Luke 8:13; John 19:30; Romans 6:10). Yet, while the eternal securists zealously rally around one truth – one that affords what they think is a license to sin – they selectively ignore and refuse to factor in other equally divinely inspired truth because it doesn’t play into their ease-loving, self-serving fleshly lusts as they relish and love this present, sinful world (Luke 8:13; 1 Timothy 4:1-3; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17). This same Jesus is ignored, shunned, despised, and rejected by these eternal securist who refuse to hear anything Christ stated that would cost them their own self. They won’t have that daily cross Jesus commanded and requires (Luke 9:23-24). No, they don’t mind things that entertain their senses like going to church or being a good church member but they will have nothing to do with suffering the death of the self-life by being daily crucified with Christ (Romans 8:17; Galatians 2:20; 5:24; Colossians 3:3, etc.). The OSAS-er rejects that daily dying to self and proves himself to be one of the very “enemies of the cross of Christ” that Paul warns us about (Philippians 3:18-19). The eternal securist wants his cake and to eat it too as the saying goes. He will have no part of personal responsibility, personal accountability, denial of self, fearing and obeying God, sincere personal holiness and pureness of heart, and dying to self.

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15

Concerning the rebellious leaders and their willingly deceived followers, the LORD says: “My people love to have it so.” (Jeremiah 5:31)

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4

The LORD Lift Up His Countenance Upon Thee, and Give Thee Peace [podcast]

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:3-7

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26
