“Those who advance the most in God’s kingdom are those who are willing to acknowledge the depths of their sinfulness. Those who advance the most in God’s economy are the ones who are willing to accept their moral and spiritual bankruptcy. Because when you can see yourself in light of who you really are, then it positions you to experience God’s grace. If you can acknowledge that you are spiritually and morally bankrupt, then you can experience God’s stimulus plan.

God can inject life into your situation. But as long as we feel like we are okay, then we reject the LORD. You’ll advance in your spirituality to the degree you are willing to let go of your sinful self.
