Dominionism is Luciferic

You Taking Over? Really?

The call of many of the false prophets and false apostles and false ministries today is to “take over.” Really? Take over what? Take over who? Paul told us what he had to daily “take over” or tend to:

“But I keep under MY BODY, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 1 Corinthians 9:27

God gave Paul the responsibility to rule his own “body” and not someone else’s body or money or thinking. That’s witchcraft, which is a soul-damning work of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).

Dominionism is the same error and movement as what’s called “kingdom now” where misled mere men believe and are taught that we, as Christians, are here to “take over.” Jesus is the only Righteous Ruler who will “take over” when He returns.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

We have to beware of dominion-ism theology which is rampant today and has caused the disillusionment and derailment of many. God wants us to dominate our own beings – that’s the garden He gives us responsibility over. The cross – dying down deep with Christ – is what God is calling us to and not to take over beloved saints. We need to let God take over our own beings by obeying Him in dying to self and letting HIM raise us up in His strength and grace to please Him. That is, instead of becoming luciferic by trying to be our own little gods who attempt to rule and reign. Learn Isaiah 14:12-15 and you will see exactly who this “take over” dominion falsehood is of the enemy and not Christ. Jesus says “My kingdom is not of this world” and so why would we think it’s Him who is leading us to try to take over this fleeting, soon to be completely renovated temporal world? (John 18:36)

In His parable about stewardship, Jesus used the word “occupy.” (Luke 19:13) The Greek word for “occupy” is defined as “to busy oneself or to trade.” When Jesus said “Occupy till I come”He was not speaking of taking over or attempting such foolishness (Luke 19:13). “Occupy”doesn’t mean to take dominion.  When someone house sits, they are occupying a home as opposed to taking over which would be more like a home invasion.

Dominate This!

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:24-26

Our reigning is for later, that is, if we allow Him to rule and reign our personal lives here and now (Luke 19:27). According to Holy Scripture, our best life will be later and not now. Only those in whom Christ is allowed to reign, will be with Him in eternity. Beware of the many fools gold messages that fly around today, tickling ears and ushering souls into eternal damnation. Were we not warned? (Colossians 2:8; 2 Timothy 4:2-4)

“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” Luke 19:27

Reigning with Christ is for later when we are with Him. For now, He commanded us to rule our own bodies well by dying daily and allowing Him to raise us up by His power and grace to please Him (Luke 9:23-24; Romans 8:11, etc.).

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6

As we rightly steward the temple He gave us (ourselves), we will be blessed to reign with Him eternally.

Let’s finish here with a quote from one writer on the daily cross:

“Here’s the principle. This is what I want to get across to you today – That all blessing in your life comes through the cross. All power, all multiplication, all filling of the Spirit, all joy – everything comes from you getting down into the death of Christ. The humility, the brokenness, the lack of anything you can depend on any more, the being brought to your wit’s end, it’s whatever the circumstances are going on in your life that’s working you down to this point, getting you down to the bottom… you’ve got to go to the bottom to come up …. we need to be exposed, we need to be reduced, we need to be brought to nothingness, because that’s when God’s blessing will move in and start to enable you and give you this transcendence of power over the devil and demons and anything that is coming against you. God creates something out of nothing. That’s why He would send them out in the storms, to get them out there where they were totally at the mercy of the elements and there’s nowhere they can go for safety, winds and waves …. that’s the kind of circumstances God has got to bring you into. He’s got to interrupt your life to bring you to and end of yourself. If you don’t have any suffering in your own life then you can get down and enter into others (help them in their sufferings).”

Fresh Prayer: Jesus, You have died for me, rose again, found and saved me, and now call me to lay down this life that You might raise it up to bring You alone. It by Your initiating grace that I have been redeemed and I ask You to multiply that grace as I wait upon Thee. Heavenly Father, please anoint my life to be dead and buried with You so that it can be raised upward in Your Holy Spirit to fully glorify You. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
