This week, while having a rich fellowship with a dear and growing brother in Christ, he asked me about the Hebrew Roots movement. We took a look at the passage most prominently used by modern judaizers to promulgate their wicked wares – Matthew 5:17-18. They use this passage to “prove” that born again, saved-by grace-through faith NEW Testament saints are still under the law of Moses, that they are accountable to keep the law in order to be saved. Brother Stephen and I read this passage and discussed how Jesus never said we have to keep the law to be righteous in this passage. Take a look:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5:17-18

In the above passage, did Jesus say, did the Son of God teach us that we must keep the whole law? No. After reading this we discussed Galatians 2:21, which states “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

The following post was referenced as thoroughly addressing from Scripture this whole topic. | “BEWITCHED” – The Most Misunderstood Passage in the Bible RESOLVED

Brother Stephen said a friend of his was trying to get him to go to weekend feast of booths type celebration. I proceeded to give him Scripture on this and communicate to him that Christ has already come and died. Those shadows under the Old Covenant merely pointed to Jesus – and it’s all about Jesus, not the mere pictures of Him before He came. I then referred this brother to the Hebrews Roots or Judaizing Devils categories on this website and emailed to him one of the posts on this topic. He was hungry to find out what the Bible has to say about grave vs law keeping. Well, he got a motherlode of Bible truth on this matter. We read through a few passages of Scriptures, including Colossians 2:4-10 and he was warned that without fail, the Hebrew Roots judaizers ultimately seek to bring people back under the law. And that this is Satan’s attempt to draw saved-by-grace NEW Testament saints to fall from saving grace by ceasing to trust Christ’s perfect sacrifice and going back to attempting to keep the whole law. Brother Stephen and I also looked at Romans 3:28; James 2:10 and Galatians 5:18 concerning the truth that no man can keep the whole law perfectly and that only Christ did such and then nailed the law for righteousness to the cross and took it out of the way (Colossians 2:14-19). And, that if we’ve broken just one of the commandments of God then we are fully, 100% guilty before God of breaking His whole law (James 2:10). We discussed being faced with being under law or grace and that each of us must choose. There is no neutral ground – one either chooses to be under law or to be under the saving grace of God in Christ alone (John 1:17). Here are other verses we read in this conversation. | Hebrew Roots Judaizers Busted

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” Romans 3:28

“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2:28-29

This is but one example of how this site is designed and built to be used by believers for their own personal study of God’s Word and also using it as a resource to help others learn of our LORD. Personally, as was the case above, I like to get into the Word when discussing any topic and then sending them home with resources to learn deeper on the topic(s) discussed.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Laying Up Treasure in Heaven 60 second video #shorts

“but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.” 1 Samuel 30:24

A financial investor takes your money and multiplies it for your last few years in this temporal life, right? In contrast, laborers for Christ take your support and multiply it for Christ and themselves for all eternity. In Christ’s eternal kingdom – everybody wins, all the time, forever. King Jesus reigns forever!

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38

Paul was not coveting any man’s money – “I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.” (Acts 20:33) No! He wanted God’s people to invest in Christ’s eternal kingdom – into eternal souls – and by doing so fill their “account” in Heaven. – “Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.” (Philippians 4:17)

God gives the increase of lost souls as “For we are labourers together with God.”

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9  For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:6-9

Gospel train rolling. Team Jesus! We must obey our LORD Jesus’ Great Command saints. You are not alone – God is with you, and us!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

Safety in Wise Counsel [podcast]

Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.” Proverbs 20:18

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalms 37:23

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalms 90:12

“Safety” in wise counsel from God’s wisdom, Word, and including at times with the help of His beloved saints.

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14

“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” Proverbs 21:31

“For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Proverbs 24:6

Caprice means a sudden and unaccountable change of mood or behavior.

“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” James 3:13-18

The Killing Power of the Holy Ghost with Judge Travis Bryan III [podcast]

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Romans 8:13

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

“The cross of Christ is the sweetest burden that I ever bore; it is such a burden as wings are to a bird, or sails to a ship, to carry me forward to my harbor.” Samuel Rutherford

Momentum in the power of the Holy Spirit comes from a continual perpetual downward dying motion, being then raised up reciprocally in the resurrection grace of Jesus Christ.

“The flesh loses its power over you when it is crucified. Christ’s power begins to reign. The worries and stress of this life leave. And you begin to have the peace that passes all understanding. Philippines 4:7 Amen! A crucified life! Hallelujah all praise to Jesus.” Karen Cochran

God’s plan for your life….here it is:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

The ministry has put together 3 volumes sure to deepen your life in Christ, in the crucified life. 3 volumes to boost your life in Christ, in the cross He commanded us to take up – and by which He raises us upward in His glorious power and grace (Luke 9:23-24).
