Unconditional LOVE Examined: Eternal Security Examined

One divine attribute does not diminish from another.

I’ve met some who have the propensity to put everything in the Bible under “unconditional love” and pretty much discount everything else the Bible says. Yet the words “unconditional love” appear no where in the Bible. This all comes out of a heart of pride. They ignore and diminish aught from fearing God, judgment, sin, hell, justice, etc.

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. 2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. 3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.” Proverbs 11:1-3

Balance is not factoring out clearly stated BIBLE truth. That’s rebellion. God fearing balance does not include telling God He’s a fool for putting certain things in His Word and pretending that we have the permission from Him to ignore, discount, or remove those things.

“ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

How does God’s love negate His justice, sin, sowing and reaping, hell, and judgment? It doesn’t.

It was the LOVE of God who allowed the violence to happen to His only begotten Son. God is love and He’s also just.

Divine love doesn’t negate divine justice.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Notice closely how Paul did not mention SIN in his list. That’s because “the wages of SIN is death (separation).” (Romans 6:23) God will LOVE us all the way into hell if we choose not to repent. Written to His own covenant people, the LORD says:

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30

Notice that nothing “shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

In this Romans 8 passage, it doesn’t say “life” but “love.” God is love and will continue to love all men. That in no way means He is obligated, against His own holy divine attribute, to receive all into His eternal kingdom. Also, the love “is IN Christ Jesus” and so one must die “in Christ” to be with Christ for eternity. Following Jesus requires following, obeying His teachings. Jesus taught that all those He saves must “endure to the end” to be “saved”, they must “abide,” remain in Him or they will be cast into the fire (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; John 15:6, etc.).

Those who teach eternal security/once saved always saved, are running a scam on people, sending many to hell – that is, those who refuse to truly repent and get into the Word themselves.

The Scriptures are more than clear on this matter. It’s those who want to live as they wish, a cross-less life, and still believe fairy tale that they are still going to God’s holy Heaven.

We know from mountains of Scripture and biblical examples that sin will certainly separate us from the life, our fellowship with God. Why? Because God is “Holy, holy, holy” and sin cannot dwell with Him (Is. 6:3; Rev 4:8; Romans 6:1-2, 23; Ezekiel 18:30, etc.).

The passage above is often used by false teachers to promulgate the myth that since God loves you, there’s no possibly way you could lose your place with Him. Nonsense. Isn’t it interesting that these same deceivers completely ignore verses 1, 13, and 17 of this very chapter:

“There is therefore now no condemnation (1st condition) to them which are in Christ Jesus, (2nd condition) who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. … For if ye live after the flesh (in sin)ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body (daily crucified life), ye shall live. … And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; IF IF IF so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8:1, 13, 17

NOTHING can separate us from His LOVE, not LIFE. Yes God’s love will not let go. He will love and pursue one all the way into hell in the individual refuses to repent. God’s love for us must be balanced with His holiness and justice.

There’s no question that God is love and loves all. The big question is whether or not the individual, whom God gave free will, is going to love the LORD with His whole being, to the end of his life in this world.

Stacy Strother notes:

“God is a LOVING God, He will love us no matter what, to long for us to return, till the very last breath! So, the recipient of His salvation must keep himself in the love of God or all will be lost:

“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude 21

NEWS FLASH!

Unconditional Love Does NOT Equal Unconditional Acceptance!

Verses Misused = Souls Destroyed!

“For we are not as many, which corrupt (pervert, corrupt) the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:17

It’s real simple: We were specifically warned about beguiling wolves who are selectively taking a few things in Scripture out of context in order to use them to manipulate you by tickling your ears so they can get your money!

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3

God did not send His only begotten Son to grant anyone, namely His own children, a license to sin and only “ungodly men” teach or insinuate such (Jude 3-4). Christ did not come to die in order to indiscriminately grant a free ticket to live in sin and still be accepted into Heaven (Romans 6:1-2). The reception and retention of that gift of salvation is a personal choice and responsibility. If the man whom Jesus saves does not abide in Christ – remain in Him to the end – that person will be eternally damned (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; John 15:6, etc.).

Divine Threat?

“Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, IF IF IF thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. ” Romans 11:22

It’s the self-intoxicated counterfeit who migrates to such a cross-less message as is heard every Sunday in the apostate modern church pulpits where men have learned the recipe for building a lucrative church BUSINESS $$$$. Was this not prophesied of this last generation?

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4

Popular songs and enterprising, business building “pastors” (wolves) speak often about God’s love and yet never His holiness or justice or the divine requirement to repent and endure to the end to be saved into eternal glory. This dishonest, deliberate omission creates a delusional imbalance and gross lack of holy fear in those who sit under such a campaign of deceit. Beware. Study God’s Word for yourself beloved! The message of the modern gospel is false – it’s a false picture that is damning millions who are utterly sure they are “eternally secure” no matter what. These are those spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Yes “God is love” and yet the message of the modern church purposely, conveniently excludes his justice and holiness attributes. This creates a gross imbalance and lack of holy fear and a lukewarm apostate modern church. Such will be spued or rejected from Christ in the end (Revelation 3:15-16).

NEWS FLASH #2:

All it takes to go to hell is to be “lukewarm.” (Revelation 3:15-16) That’s what JESUS says and now you must choose. Will you choose Christ, the only One who can save you or will you believe the eternal security wolves? Adam and Eve believed Satan when confronted with the same exact temptation and it was their fall (Genesis 2:17; 3:4; 1 Corinthians 10:13). This is a timeless temptation “common to man.” God makes the way to escape – obeying Him, not Satan’s wolves.

God is still, always has been, and will always be “Holy, holy, holy” and the wages of sin is still death (Isaiah 6:3; Romans 6:23; Revelation 4:8, etc.).

WHERE O WHERE did that message go?

Be sure that holiness is a Bible topic that is intentionally, completely ignored by modern wolves because it doesn’t make them popular or make them $money$!!!

Such divine truth does not multiply, add, and equal nickels, noses, and numbers for the modern wolves who are feeding the self-love of their prey instead of calling them to truly repent, deny self, take up the cross, and follow Christ – the way HE prescribed (Luke 9:23-24, etc.). See 2 Timothy 3:1-7 for a resume’ of these final days. As you read this passage you shall behold exactly what is going on in the church world today which was foretold.

MOST prey, including those in leadership roles in the apostate modern church world, don’t even know and/or ignore passages like these in this piece and many others…. We all have Bibles and so ignorance is willing and will destroy! “MY PEOPLE are DESTROYED for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) Tares vainly believe they can ignore Christ and His Words while claiming He’s going to save them in the end! That’s delusion. It’s high time to repent and get honest before it’s too late! “MANY will say unto me in that day … Depart from me!” is what they will hear (Matthew 7:19-29; 25:40-46, etc.). Okay here it is ….. Here is yet another passage intentionally ignored by beguilers:

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:34-36

SATAN wants you dead and he wants no one warning you to beware of his evil! (John 10:10) The enemy of souls uses the false leaders you listen to to withhold the truth from you. Yet, you have no excuse because the LORD who is your Judge, gave you His written Word (2 Corinthians 11:12-15, etc.).

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Summation: Remember that while God loves you, He gave you free will and will allow you to be irrevocably damned to hell and the lake of fire if you choose to ignore instead of obeying His requirements.

Friend, are you presently “in Christ” or outside of Christ? Have you wondered from the Good Shepherd’s care and His flock?

God’s unconditional love is not the same as his acceptance. We are “accepted in the beloved (Christ)” so we must die in Christ, “the beloved” to be eternally accepted (Ephesians 1:6). To be “in Christ” is to first be born again and currently in an abiding relationship with Him. Please read John chapters 15 and 17. The key many overlook is being “in Christ” and that’s not only speaking of a one-time, initial born again experience. Although repenting and receiving Jesus are monumentally essential and our being brought into Christ, He also requires are fellowship participation to the end of our lives (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Colossians 1:22-23; Hebrews 3:6, 12-15; 10:26-39, etc.).
