Death, Burial, Resurrection – You go down and God raises you up, daily. That’s the Gospel re-enacted in your daily life. There’s no other way to walk with, to follow Jesus (Luke 9:23-24).

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

We are to be “crucified with Christ” and so the continual bearing about in our bodies of the dying of Jesus guarantees a perpetual resurrection power and grace raising us upward. Death and burial must of necessity precede resurrection.

Will you declare today with Christ’s apostle Paul that you are crucified with Christ?

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Jesus is calling His people to the cross He mandates that we take up (Luke 9:23-24; John 14:15, 21-23).

You don’t have to ask the Holy Spirit to come, to increase. Jesus told us where He comes, where He increases, is where we are choosing to decrease.

“He must increase, but I must decrease. … For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” John 3:30, 34

Notice that while Jesus was on the earth the Holy Spirit was given to Him without measure, immeasurably. Why?

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” John 5:30

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He did the work and will of His Father and was immeasurably filled with the Holy Spirit.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

Is there a connection between God’s power and presence in our lives and our obedience to Him? Yes. Definitely. Absolutely.

The Holy Spirit of God is given in measure to us in proportion to our abiding in Christ, in the cross life He calls us to. God is working mightily in those who are truly abiding in Christ! Read this passage below carefully saints:

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. … 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:21, 23

Many gather to conjure up more of the Holy Spirit’s presence. Futility. Repent. Love God supremely. Obey God. That’s when and in whom the Holy Spirit will dwell powerfully.

Many have over spiritualized our walk with God. It’s very practical actually (Colossians 2:6-10, etc.).

“I remember when I got saved, giving my life to Jesus. I started reading the Bible, and following the words of the Lord Jesus. One day I noticed, so many of my old ways were gone by keeping my heart and mind on Him, I was changed. The more we apply His word to our lives we keep changing. We become what we spend our time on. Hebrews 4:12- for the Word of God is living and active, and shaper than an two edged sword, able to change our hearts and minds to live for God. It was God’s word, by God’s Holy Spirit that changed me. It’s alive, it’s supernatural, it has the power to change us from the inside out. So I encourage all to read, and keep reading, and allow God to work in your life. He get’s all the glory for changing us, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, not on ourselves, or the world. That’s our job! To Set our hearts and minds on things above, and seek first the Kingdom of God and His Will. Matthew 6:33. God’s Will is full of peace, joy, righteousness. Our Salvation is in Jesus Christ, the Lord. There is salvation in No other Name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12″ Sharon Matthews

IF God is your Father, if you are His, “ALL things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). With this truth in mind, please tell Him what you have need of! – simply “ASK and ye shall receive” (Matthew 7:7). Ask Him beloved and Jesus Christ, the Great Intercessor at the Father’s right hand, will see that it’s answered! “ALL power in heaven and in earth” is invested in the name, the authority, the divine Person of the LORD Jesus Christ – who was crucified for our sins, defeated death, hell, the grave, and Satan (Matthew 28:18-20)!

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24

2 FACTS: JESUS IS STILL THE KING OF ALL KINGS, THE LORD OF ALL LORD’S AND IN FULL CONTROL OF ALL OF HIS CREATION (Colossians 1-2). The devil is STILL a liar, the father of it, and doing his evil business today – till he shall be soon vanquished into the bottomless pit (John 8:44; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10; 20:3).

Memorize: “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10:27)

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

God Himself saves us. Truth. Perhaps we speak too much about our part, our faith, and not the One by whose blood saves us (Romans 5:9). God alone can save, our faith is merely the appropriation, the divinely given condition (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 11:6). Both are necessary, one is primary and that’s Jesus Christ who is our salvation, who is eternal life (1 John 5:20-21). We are redeemed by Him, our connection to Him is repentance and faith (Acts 20:21). It’s true that our LORD saves us, we don’t save ourselves, we simply believe upon Him who justifies us, the ungodly (Romans 3:21-26; 4:4-5). We are redeemed by His “precious blood,” by “the blood of his cross” (1 Peter 1:18-19; Colossians 1:20). “The Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins” and He does that upon our turning to Him in repentance and faith (Matthew 9:6; John 1:12). God saves us, we don’t save ourselves. Our faith does not save us, GOD saves us and He requires our faith as a condition to receive that gift of salvation.

Overcoming all Hindrances

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

Jesus Christ is God and He never has nor ever will diminish one iota in His power to save, make whole, and deliver. We know He desires to do these thing but why doesn’t He do it? Sin. …. who’s ready to be made free, to be forgiven of all your sin? Listen to your Maker clearly…

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2

WITH the power of the Holy Ghost, you are a one-man wrecking ball for JESUS (Acts 1:8). What saith Joshua 1:3 and 1 John 3:8 and Revelation 12:11? Boom.

Sin is Rooted in the Hearts of Men [podcast]

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Jesus taught us that man’s sin comes out of his “desperately wicked” heart (Jeremiah 17:9).

“And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7:20-23

Mankind’s core dilemma is sin (Romans 1-3). Jesus Christ came and died to “save his people from their sins,“ to “taketh away the sin of the world,“ and not to merely deal with fallen man on a surface level as on a mental level (Matthew 1:21; John 1:29). God doesn’t band aid broken things, He heals and makes them whole to the root because the root determines the fruit (Matthew 12:33; Luke 4:18, etc.). Christ’s salvation is perfect. Evil is in our hearts and proceeds forth from that wicked heart until Christ regenerates us (Genesis 6:5, 12; Jeremiah 17:9; John 3:3, 7; Titus 3:5-7). This is why the sinner must of divine necessity be born again, must be made completely new “by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5-7). Then and not before then, the born again saint of Christ is made a “a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God” (2 Corinthians 5:17-18).

The Truth about Fallen Mankind – That Includes You!

Is Romans 7 Before or After Paul’s Salvation?

Don’t trust yourself, trust God and deny self! “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered” (Proverbs 26:28).

Only Satan and his children live by the diabolical edict of “be true to yourself.” Knowing how wretched they are of themselves, without Christ, those who are known of God live by “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

People don’t have a “mental health” problem, they have a SIN problem and sin is what gives way, gives full access to Satan!

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:14

“The state of continual sanctification, that life of purity and detachment from the world and all it’s lusts, without which detachment and sanctity no man shall see the Lord-shall never enjoy His presence in the world of blessedness.
