What does God’s Word instruct us to to do with those who reject the Word, the truth of God? Does the Bible give instructions about this? Yes. Specific.

How long should Christ’s disciples today haggle with those who are adversarial to the Gospel?

Recently the poisonous teaching of a certain lady who was on my friends list caught my eye. She was peddling Satan’s first lie with impunity. She was sharply rebuked and shut down, rejected, blocked. Why you might ask? What did the LORD instruct us to do concerning those bearing witness against Him?

THOSE who love themselves and mere men more than Jesus, will crassly ignore His command to stop feeding into, cease giving your participation with, stop entertaining the company of snakes, wolves, dogs, and swine.

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Matthew 7:6

“Rebuke them (false teachers) sharply”

“For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake. 12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;” Titus 1:10-13

Such who refuse to obey Jesus’ command to reject unrepentant wolves, give their endorsement to, aid and abet liars, false teachers, bidding them Godspeed and thereby being a co-conspirator with them against the Almighty. They will be judged with the false teachers who are all going to hell (2 Peter 2:1-3).

“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” 2 John 10-11

“A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” Titus 3:10-11

“For MANY deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. “People who seemed solid in the Word have now fallen for these false prophets peddling their lies. They also bid them God speed by sharing their quotes. 2 John 11. When given this scripture they say well I just like this quote. When you do that you are partaking in their evil deeds. God will punish people for this! But many will not listen. They think it is an innocent thing to share quotes from some of these heretics. But God takes it seriously! Only the ‘Little flock’ will follow to the end of their lives! As many are falling away. 2 Thess 2: 3. ! They have now become enemies of Jesus! Because they are aligning themselves with this false prophet instead of aligning with Christ! It is not an innocent thing!! I pray if I share anything that is from one of these heretics that someone would please let me know! I never want to be a partaker in their sins and especially do not want to ever be an enemy of Jesus. These people get mad when you try and give them the truth. It’s pride! Those who ‘bid God speed’ to false teachers will be judged into hell with them (v11). It were as if they’ve join themselves to the enemies of the LORD and are thereby betrayed the Most High. They have made themselves therefore also the enemy of Christ. Think about a close friend you might have. What if that close friend went and join forces with a person who has slandered you and become a sworn enemy of yours. How would that make you feel? Now, do we begin to see that God is just in judging those who betray Him by helping HIS enemies deceive the eternal souls for whom Christ died? Your post also speaks of who God is coming back for! – Only those without Spot or wrinkle. I am realizing how many justify sin and believe oh well I sin everyday it’s okay. Or ‘I am only human so I sin.’ So what? That is an excuse to live in the flesh and continue to sin. So many I see lately make excuses for sin – instead of truly repenting, laying down their life in this world, being crucified with Christ and overcoming it.” Karen Cochran

Communicating to others that “God … commandeth all men every where to repent” doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t be with contempt or “the wrath of man” which “worketh not the righteousness of God.” (Acts 17:30; James 1:20) Remember, not part of the original Gospel message is ours – we are simply messengers of it (1 Corinthians 3:6-9).

The most godly thing we can do with false teachers, wolves in sheep’s clothing, is “rebuke them sharply.” If you don’t see that, repent, get over yourself. Lay down your life in this world, deny self, take up the cross, and follow Jesus for real (Luke 9:23-24; 14:33; 17:33; 19:27). We are at war.

Speaking specifically about false teachers, Scripture mandates:

“Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;” Titus 1:13

What’s better than “secret love” – love not expressed, not spoken forth?

“Open rebuke is better than secret love. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:5-6

Spineless people, made cowards by their own choice to live in sin, get upset when truth is spoken straight.

What’s the divine goal for the “MANY unruly and vain talkers and deceivers”? The answer: “that they may be sound in the faith.“ How can that happen? – when we obey God and “rebuke them SHARPLY.”

One of the divine purposes for ordaining elders among His people, is to expose and shut down liars, and their lies. Here’s a wider perspective of Titus 1:

“1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Why Did God Give Us His Word? [podcast]

The 4 Pillar Purposes for the Holy Scriptures

There are 4 reasons detailed in 2 Timothy 3:16 for the Holy Scriptures being given to us by God. Under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, the apostle Paul wrote:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

According to this verse, the Bible, God’s very Word, has been given to the people of God for 4 reasons: Doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Let us take a brief look at these 4 reasons for the written Word so carefully presented here concerning the very purpose of the Bible.

Doctrine – (Gr. DIDASKALIA): that which is taught; teaching, instruction. An individual’s doctrinal body of truth consists of that which he has been taught and holds to be true.

Reproof – (Gr. ELEGMOS): proof, proving, test. As the noble Berean believers demonstrate and John commands, to test every doctrine that comes from the mouth or pen of men, against the holy Standard – the Scriptures. This is, in part, what is being spoken to us by the Holy Spirit in this verse at hand. Therefore, we conclude that we have been given “All scripture” in order to exercise “reproof,” or the testing of men’s doctrines against Holy Writ and to test every notion of belief we currently hold against the divine standard of the written Word which is final divine authority (Acts 17:10-11; 1 John 4:1).

Correction – (Gr. EPANORTHOSIS): a restoration to an upright state or right state. The Scriptures are “given by inspiration of God” to bring correction into our own hearts, and into the hearts of all who heed the divine message (James 1:21-25).

Instruction in Righteousness – (Gr. PAIDEIA): training in righteousness is what is meant here. The Bible is given to train us in the ways of the One who inspired the same. The divinely given Precepts of life can never fail anyone who would search out and do its commands (Isaiah 34:16). All of life’s answers, as pertains to man, are found within its pages (2 Peter 1:3-4; Psalms 119:128a). Millions of godly pilgrims, journeying through this earthly life, has found the perfect divine will and direction by studying the words of Holy Scripture (Psalms 119).

The verse following this monumental 16th verse, v17, also reveals to us another reason for the Scriptures – “That the man of God may be perfect (mature), throughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works.” This maturity will come as a result of the workings of God as we walk with Him. He will teach our hearts His doctrine, His correction, His reproof, and instruct us in righteousness.

In review, what are the 4 reasons that God gave us His Word in written form?

The Bible was written to CHANGE you – TO CORRECT FALSE THINKING – and not to accommodate the lies you believe. Are you washing your mind of every false notion – by daily study of God’s Word, OR are you backslidden? (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 5:26) Repent now and conform to Christ by learning, embracing, adhering to, searching, studying, and obeying His truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17). WHY DID GOD GIVE US HIS WORD? WHAT are the stated 4 reasons God gave us His Word? Do you know this truth, and are you ready to share it with others?

You are obviously saved when you are putting God’s Word as final divine authority of your life and that’s pleasing to the LORD (John 8:47). When we allow God’s Word to correct us, we prove He is authentically the LORD of our lives (2 Timothy 3:16).

SOFT-PEDDLING, HALF-TRUTH preachers are Satan’s agents. No conviction, no cross, no holiness, no repentance, no readiness for the return of Christ, no judgment to come, no hell, no lake of fire! RUNNNNNN

WHY did God give us His Word? It was to establish His truth in and to protect His people from the many deceivers – “them that seduce you.”

“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.” 1 John 2:26

God gave us His Word so that we may be established in him and kept safe from the “Many false prophets” He so often warned us about. He provided His written Word, his tangible revelation, so that we may fear Him (Deuteronomy 4:10), and so we can know Him (John 5:39). As you study Scripture, be on the look out for the many divinely stated reasons our LORD gave us His written Word.

Did you catch what Jesus just said? – That God is with His people to the end of the world to help them do what He said – teach His Word to all!

LOTS of people on social media claiming and preaching their own visions and dreams and not the Gospel! Beware.

When I hear someone speaking live or in a video, if the Word is not coming from their mouths, I soon close it out and unfriend. What is it that we don’t understand about the divine command to “Preach the word”? (2 Timothy 4:2) Wolves entertain goats while true under-shepherds of Christ feed sheep. Beware.

IF we stick with God’s Word, if we do things His way and no other way, we will be involved in the preaching, the teaching – dissemination – of His Word (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20).

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. 7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.” Philemon 1:6-7

“The bowels of the saints are refreshed” when God’s people communicate His Word!

The Waste of the Modern Church World

If you are born again and abiding presently in Christ, you have “mansion” in glory awaiting you! (John 14:1-6) Did you know that you also have an “account” in Heaven? Now, what’s in that “account”? Is it empty or full?

“Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.” Philippians 4:17

Paul, Christ’s apostle, wanted to see the heavenly accounts of God’s people full!

God is not going to reward you good for not contributing to that which He stated is most important.

ANY leadership curriculum that isn’t literally the Scriptures – and learning THEM – is a scam! (Psalm 119; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21, etc.) How long shall prop of the wolves and their self-agenda “ministries”? How long shall we be be deceived?

Today we see LOTS of clowns raising money to continue to fund their circuses they have and are building using the name of Jesus in vain to do so (Exodus 20:7).

Looking around us and perhaps beginning with our own lives, we see a biblically illiterate generation of Christians – people who can’t quote 10 Bible verses. Yet, those same people have been good church members for many years.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6

The vast majority of “churches” today are simply not teaching God’s Word to the people which alone makes them disobedient frauds. Fruit.

“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” Titus 1:16

If you help a “ministry” that is not instilling God’s truth in people, you are bidding Godspeed to these workers of iniquity and will be judged with them (2 John 10-11). The teaching of God’s Word is paramount and for the divine purpose for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom in the hearts of men (Colossians 3:16).

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” Acts 28:30-31

Many today campaign aggressively to raise money for and promote things that do not involve the communication of God’s truth into the hearts of men. In fact, very little “ministry” being done today even has the unchanging divine goal of instilling God’s Word into the hearts and lives of His people. God will only reward that which is in keeping with what He’s clearly stated – which will never change. His New Testament Gospel program is plain. Are you walking in it?

“Preach the gospel.” (Mark 16:15)
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
“Preach the word.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
“Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly (abundantly).” (Colossians 3:16)

Saints, God forbid that we waste the wealth on the waste of spreading the false modern gospel and the trinkets used to promote it!

If it’s a ministry and they’re not the teaching of God’s Word, it’s not of God (John 8:47).

“Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.” Acts 8:4

If people are not literally learning and obeying and speaking God’s truth, it’s not of God! (Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 12:17)

The “Success” of Christ’s Saints Depends on This….

“This book of the law (God’s written Word) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

Counseling and therapy from other sinners, rebels, will only increase the curse on the lives of rebels. Repent now you vile enemy of Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:18-19).

“You don’t need anything but Jesus. He can heal all! All these counselors do is keep you focused on yourself! That is already your problem! All anxiety and stress is lack of faith and reliance on self. This is all sin! I know from experience when you truly repent and begin to trust Jesus with your life, you no longer live in worry, fear, anxiety and stress. Proverbs 3: 5-6 ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.'” Karen Cochran

Jesus already paid the full price for you to be whole – spirit, soul, and body! (Isaiah 53:5-6; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 Peter 2:24, etc.) Therefore there’s no need to pay some fraud counselor who is going to take your money but never give you the Word which is the only solution. The “Christian” counselors will mix a few Scriptures from a fake “bible” and and psychobabble. Repent and run. Now.

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:24-25

“All things that pertain unto life and godliness”

“According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3-4

ALL of God’s answers are in HIS Word, His Holy Ghost, and His body (2 Peter 1:3-4). Jesus makes whole, not therapy. Beware of the cheap counterfeit psychobabble. Read Colossians 2:3-10.

“And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:3-10

No one needs psychology to notice and understand the flaws of the fallen man, of fallen in sin mankind. Psychology is a cheap imitation that offers zero solutions. The fathers of modern psychology were all unrepentant and vile and sinfully perverted men, children of satan. Jesus alone can forgive sin and make a man whole (Matthew 9:6; Luke 4:18, etc.). That’s why Heaven’s King came. Every other promise is a lie. The world has no answer for the sin that is the root cause of all of man’s ailments (Genesis 6:5, 12; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 1-3; 6-7, etc.). Jesus saves. Jesus forgives. Jesus makes whole – from the inside out – all the way to the root of the issue! Christ alone is the cure to the cancer of sin!

“2 Corinthians 7: 1 God commands us to cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh. We need to be perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Counseling only feeds the flesh. It tries to reform it and keeps you the victim by saying it’s not your fault it’s all caused by things done to you. Therefore you have no responsibility for yourself. We are to be sanctified through the word of God. John 17: 17, not by some Psycho-Babble. Jesus can make us whole spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23.” Karen Cochran

The unrepentant will pay big money and endless hours on mere human “counselors.” Rebels will do anything except repent!

The “Christian” counseling industry is a multi-million dollar enterprise and the perpetuators of such are incentivized financially to keep you reliant upon them. 99% of these “counselors” won’t get their prey into God’s Word for themselves. Most of them use fake “bibles.” How gullible can people be, right!

Paul charged Timothy to get into the Word. “YOU do it!”

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

There will be no healing or wholeness until there is real repentance and a daily devouring of God’s Word, denying self, taking up the cross, and follow Jesus (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 107:20; Matthew 6:33; Luke 9:23-24).

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt (the world), and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! (Egypt = the world) 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:1-3

Only Jesus can save, heal, forgive, make whole!

The LORD Himself is the only divine Counselor, the “Wonderful Counselor.”

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Getting Honest is the First Step Toward Total Victory

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Jesus taught us that man’s sin comes out of his “desperately wicked” heart (Jer17:9; Mark 7:20-23).

The devil and his agents have created a million ways to divert us from stopping our lives, getting honest, taking personal responsibility, humbling ourselves, admitting our sins against God, and repenting.

WHY did Jesus come to the earth?

He came to die for the sins of the world (Matthew 1:21; 26:28; John 1:29; 1 Timothy 1:15, etc.)….. and to make His people whole!
