Reality Check:
IF you didn’t get into God’s Word FIRST thing this morning it’s because He’s not your “first love” – you are backslidden (Revelation 2:4-5). “Repent” now and confess your sins to Him. RETURN to Christ! NOW do we understand when Jesus says only a “few” will enter through the narrow gate? (Matthew 7:13-14)
We do well to ask God that our love for Him be supreme and spontaneous.
“You’ll want nothing more when you want to follow the LORD.” Liza Young
IS your life and are your words all about JESUS?
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18
If all things have not changed at some point in your life, you are not yet the LORD’s. The good news is that you are reading this now and can meet Jesus. Go here: Making Peace with God
Charles Pray writes:
“God does not want a people who like Him! He’s looking for people who LOVE Him and Worship Him in Spirit and Truth. If you look up to fleshly men more than you do to God, you’re living in a false worship, and God will have no part of that. God does not share His Glory with anyone. Have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying and stop following the cults of this world. You are precious to God.”
Does God Know You?
“But if any man love God, the same is known of him.” 1 Corinthians 8:3
Notice “IF any man LOVE God”… “the same is known of him.”
WE are either full of self or we’re full of the Savior today. Which will it be?
EVER been in a relationship where you didn’t feel wanted or special to that person by the way they neglected you? HOW do we think God feels by the way we are treating Him? Is Jesus truly your “FIRST love” or a second class citizen? (See Revelation 2:4-5.) IF we don’t like being neglected, WHY would we neglect the LORD Jesus?
In this late hour, Jesus chides and beckons –
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works (evangelism); or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” (Revelation 2:4-5)
When we genuinely “repent” and return to our “first love,” our hearts will be filled with the desire to help others know the only Savior.
Did you catch that Jesus said that if we do not love Him as our “first love” that “thou art fallen”? “Fallen” means departed, backslidden, apostate. Then Christ says we must “repent” to be restored to Him.
“Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?” Ezekiel 14:3
Those who pretend to serve God, those who read His Word and fellowship in prayer with Him only when they feel like it, when it’s convenient to their own self-serving, self-worshiping, self-idolatrous life, are backslidden and hell bound. Repent now, lay down your life and obey God. The fires of eternal damnation are going to forever feed upon your helpless, conscious soul if you don’t repent and return to Jesus as the “first love” of your life (Revelation 2:4-5).
If you have ONE idol in your life, that will damn your unrepentant wicked soul to hell irrevocably just exactly as a million idols will. Either you’ve truly repented and Jesus Christ is the MASTER of your life or you are as sure for hell as if you were already there. Any wolf posing as a pastor who isn’t preaching this to you is an agent of Satan. Repent, make Jesus your “FIRST love” for yourself and when you do, you will cease promoting and supporting Satan’s “ministers” and begin exposing them! (Read Revelation 2:4-5; 2 Corinthians 11:12-15; 2 John 7-11.)
One disciple writes:
“If I start the day without seeking Him first, getting His agenda for me, I’m serving the god of self. Who I give my first waking moments to shows who is Lord of my life. If I’m happily married, and in love, the first thing I wish to do when I wake is to say good morning to my love…. Shouldn’t it be this way with JESUS our divine Husband? Shouldn’t my love for the One who bled to redeem me burn hotter than any other earthly love?”
SO your thoughts are more focused on obtaining some new material possession than ministering Christ to others serving His body? Wow! Repent now and return to Jesus as “FIRST love” (Revelation 2:4-5).
There is a whole movement emphasizing good works and obedience, which are both VERY important and yet, loving Him in a real relationship is the divine priority! What did Jesus tell us was the whole purpose/chief reason He came? In John 17:3 we read: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
Beware of those who emphasize obedience with no mention of grace and our own need to LOVE Jesus and the Father. He created us for relationship.
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38
Have begun by faith in our relationship with Jesus and now have no semblance of intimacy with Him?
“Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” Galatians 3:3
Do you remember Mary and Martha? Which of the two did Jesus say chose the better part? Was it the sister who was working or the sister who was worshiping? Read this passage afresh beloved. See Mark 10:38-42.
FIRST LOVE FIRST WORKS … ACCORDING TO JESUS, ALL THOSE WHO “REPENT” AND RETURN TO HIM AS THEIR “FIRST LOVE” WILL, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, GET BACK TO THE “FIRST WORKS” WHICH WOULD INCLUDE EDIFYING THE BODY OF CHRIST AND WINNING LOST SOULS (REVELATION 2:4-5). WHEN JESUS SAVED YOU, IF YOU WERE TRULY BORN AGAIN, YOUR WHOLE DESIRE WAS TO HELP OTHERS BE SAVED. RIGHT?
Obedience and good works are the outflow of relationship with Jesus. Being rooted in an abiding fellowship with Christ is of utmost importance to our Father.
You are expecting God’s blessings and yet aren’t putting Him “first”? Not. Matt 6:33
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3
First and foremost, the LORD created us for worship and not just work.
One of the few who support this particular Gospel outreach has had trouble seeing how what she does really counts for Christ. She has no idea or clue how much her help has contributed and for this she will be equally and eternally rewarded (John 4:36, etc.). We have no fuel without such participation nor do the other ministries of Christ – known by their obedience to His unaltered Great Commission command. Jesus says Go. Now.
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.” John 4:34-38
— ONLY God Himself determines and has told us what is right and wrong … period. Fallen mankind does not determine such. Check this …. “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination” Leviticus 18:22. All un-redeemed men are sinners … it doesn’t matter the flavor of their sin. They need Jesus and only one entity in the earth is qualified to give them the Healing Balm. His holy Name is Jesus Christ and He came to the earth “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Will you personally participate with the true remnant of Christ in His Great Commission campaign? If so, what part are you playing? What is your contribution today? What are you doing to further this mission Christ sent His people to accomplish and for which He is holding us accountable?
The line has been drawn for certain and yet, the Great Commission is what Christ left us to do. We are to be about this our “Father’s business” (Luke 2:49). Why were some not about it already? The good news is that that one can repent and return to Christ as first love and when true repentance for doing our own thing happens, Jesus will restore this desire and direction to the heart of the repentant. Folks, God has not changed. He grants you no right to do your own thing – anything other than His work of saving and teaching souls for whom Christ bled. So many have been swept up and away from this Great Commission. They’ve been misled by wolves who pose as Christ’s representatives but are proven to be false by their refusal to preach the full counsel of His Word in order to equip the saints to do His Great Commission (Ephesians 4:11-12). They have monopolized, intercepted, and stolen the heart affections and resources of those who claim to be serving Christ. Read Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 34 to get a clue.
Many are caught up in and preoccupied with all kinds of other religious activities such as an emphasis on giftings, callings, movements, counseling, coping, psycho-babble, music, songs, church activities, chasing the elusive supposed and self-serving “revival,” etc. Any local church or movement that is not about the “Father’s business” of reconciling the lost is apostate, period. They are doing their own thing and perpetuating their own existence and anyone who supports such is also to blame and will receive the same judgment in the end (2 Peter 2:1-3; 2 John 7-11, etc.). Any ministry or minister who isn’t about the “Father’s business” of the Great Commission, is false. Jesus gave us His Great Commission and expects and requires that we fulfill such. He’s watching. He shall bring us into account for such. He shed His blood to reconcile mankind and told us that if we are truly new creatures in Him, we are His very “ambassadors” and been given “the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
Long ago, our LORD warned us of false leaders and how they would exploit His people.
“Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.” Lamentations 2:14
Goers and Senders
Want to examine yourself to see if you are truly in God’s will? If so, reconcile honestly what you are doing in obedience to Christ by furthering the cause of His Great Commission command. Are you going and/or sending? Romans 10:14-15 tells us – “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (goer) 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? (sender) as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Those who are not about the “Father’s business” are simply consumed with self-interest. Without exception, those who are given over to the LORD are filled with His desire to help those separated from Him by their sin.

Christ’s Non-Negotiable Original Gospel Imperative [podcast]

“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30
It’s one thing to claim we are with Christ and He with us, and it’s another thing to prove we are with the Savior by adhering to His words. Jesus told us that those who are “of God” hear and obey His words (John 8:47).
If one chooses not to love Jesus enough to obey His stated terms, such a man has rejected the Son of God for the love of sinful self and will perish in his own corruption (Matthew 22:37-40; Luke 9:23-24; 14:33; 17:33; John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6, etc.).
“Repentance is to TAKE SIDES with God against yourself. It is a CHANGE of attitude toward SELF, toward SIN, toward GOD, toward CHRIST that is so REAL that it RESULTS in a changed life. It is raising the WHITE FLAG in SURRENDER to God and turning to Christ as your only LORD and Savior. Repentance is NOT a work … works are the fruit of repentance (Ephesians 2:8-10).” Trent Austin
Only the counterfeit will get upset at this Gospel message because such a rebel wants nothing to do with taking personal responsibility for his sin, the denial of self, the crucified life to be set apart, holy, and having the Savior reign!
Notice how Jesus knits the denial of self, the daily cross, the putting off the deeds of the body, of keeping under the body (the iniquitous fallen nature) with the destiny of the eternal soul.
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?” Luke 9:23-25
Jesus made it clear here that the cross is an original Gospel essential, an absolute imperative to eternal glory with Him!
Each of us proves exactly who we love the most by the way we are living! – God or self!
Everything that is happening in your life now is being allowed by God in order to get you down low into the death and burial with Christ. Read 2 Corinthians 4.
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-12

Jacked Up Jezebel Rebuked [podcast]

“Jezebel is a widely rampant spirit of rebellion that is hard to get rid of, rooted in pride, self-will, and self-sufficiency. Only the LORD can deliver but only if the individual truly repents and submits to Him, to His Word.” Anita Villarreal
Any person defending this jezebel heresy that women can be pastors, elders over men, is under the control of Satan, period. And in need of true repentance (James 4:7).
—-There are NO female apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, or teachers under the New Testament (Ephesians 4:8, 11-12). Jesus gave these “gifts unto MEN.” (Ephesians 4:8) There is not even one woman mentioned in 27 books as an elder over Christ’s flock. Such is clearly forbidden (1 Timothy 2:11-12). In Acts 21:9 we read of Phillip’s daughters which “did prophesy” which is a gift of the Spirit (one of the nine-1 Corinthians 12:7-10). The office gifts are eldership functions for men called to be overseers over Christ’s flock, which is completely different than the gifts of the Spirit which every believer can function in and certainly women are seen doing such as Phillip’s daughters and how women are mentioned concerning operating in the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 14.
Classic case of a jezebel lashing out when the Word of GOD corrects her (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Her rebellion is against God. Jezebel is utterly rebellious. She hates what God’s Word says and so the demons that control jezebels will lash out in personal attacks against the men who stand on the truth unwaveringly (such as did Elijah whom Jezebel sought to kill).
“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:11-14
“As I look around America I ask myself who can find a virtuous woman? Whose whole life is surrendered to God. And centered in the fear of the Lord. No woman will submit to their husbands unless they first submit to God. Ephesians 5:22 says women are to submit to their husbands, “as unto the Lord.” That must come first. And what is a great price in the sight of God? A woman who has a meek and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:4). This is true beauty to God. But Jezebels are the complete opposite. Full of rebellion, pride and hatred! God says throw her down!” Karen Cochran
From the divine perspective, this is not about oppression but rather about protect. See Revelation 2:20-24 to see what Jesus warns when a woman is allowed to lead as an elder in the body of Christ. He uses the words “The depths of Satan” and speaks of the death and destruction that will result when the men allow a woman to lead in a manner that is outside of the stated role God ordained for the woman.
Yes the LORD said He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, sons and daughter, but not to anoint a woman to do something HE forbids. Women are to teach women yes but not the general body of believers (Titus 2:1-5). There are NO female elders in the New Testament. God forbids it. Eldership is reserved for men – to humbly teach, lead and protect and cherish women and children.
“There’s a crazy role reversal across the land and men should always lead. Even our women’s prayer group was led by the pastor because that’s what he believed. Women are more emotional and men more logical. Both have their designated roles . God meant them to compliment each other rather than to compete.” John Umlauf
When people don’t like what God’s Word states, they will attack the mere messenger as if that changes the truth. Not. And, they heap judgment on themselves by doing so (Matthew 7:1-5; James 2:13). Persecution
“For we are not as many, which corrupt (twist, adulterate) the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:17
“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:47
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” Proverbs 13:13
Jesus Addresses the Ahabs and Self-Appointed Jezebel at the Church at Thyatira
Revelation 2:20-24
Revelation 2:20-24 is about a certain self-appointed woman who was allowed by the spineless men in Thyatira to operate out of the biblically-stated order for women in the church setting.
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Rev 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

Racism: Nation Rising Against Nation [radio]

Nation Shall Rise Against Nation
Laboring in the Spirit, not the Flesh
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude 21
It’s not about the color or your skin, it’s about what kingdom you’re in!
What Should be the Response of the Body of Christ? – LOVE!
Reading 1 Corinthians 13 each morning this week is a life changer. Nothing in our lives is going to work out right if we don’t prayerfully endeavor to walk in God’s love – loving God and our neighbor, above ourselves. I love pouring prayerfully over 1 Corinthians 13 and Philippians 2:3-5. Life changing is an understatement!
Racism is hatred and is not a skin color. It is a heart condition – coming from a sinful heart. Memorize Romans 2:11.
In the time of tribulation for the believers at Thessalonica, the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul and said this:
“And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5
By this we know of a certainty that the Holy Spirit is leading, directing our “hearts into the LOVE of God” and not the flesh, not a fleshly response. We now face tribulation and can be assured by this truth that our unchanging God is directing our hearts into His love and not hatred.
This is a divine truth for every era, every hour…. and we sure know that sin is exponentially abounding in this late hour…. which means divine grace is even greater – to save, heal, bless, deliver, and make whole!!!!
“But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:” Romans 5:20
Here’s more evidence of God’s leading His people into the love walk in trying times:
“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:7-8
Any person who does not walk in God’s love is not saved and we know that from many Scriptures. No hate, no hater shall enter Christ’s kingdom, no matter what justification that sinner thinks he has to warrant hating anyone. “He that loveth not knoweth not God.” (1 John 4:8) “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” (1 John 3:15)
When His disciples ask Him “what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”, Jesus gave them this answer:
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation (ethnic group) shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:4-13
“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” 2 Timothy 2:3-5
The Church began, will end as containing precious souls from every nation, kindred, and tongue (Acts 2; Revelation 5:9; 14:6).
The New Testament church began with men from every nation under Heaven and will be the same throughout eternity in glory.
Acts 2:1-13
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” Revelation 5:9
Nation/ethnos, ethnic yes…groups at odds was foretold by Jesus – Matthew 24:7
Yes we can be at peace, Jesus told us to fear not and to be at peace …..
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
