God gives each and every person opportunities, right under our nose – so He will be justified in rewarding us if we obey or punishing all who disobey (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).

“Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his WORK shall be.” Revelation 22:12

The word “reward” appears 80 times in God’s Word and means to pay for service – good or bad – as in reaping what we sow (Galatians 6:7-8).

Greek: mis-thos’

Apparently a primary word; pay for service (literally or figuratively), good or bad: hire, reward, wages.

Those who are not literally obeying God have chosen to be counterfeits, are self-deceived, and will be eternally damned (Romans 2:13; James 1:22). Talk is cheap (1 John 3:18).

The difference between the three men who were given talents was what they did and what they did not do (Matthew 25:14-30). See Proverbs 24:10-12; Matthew 25; Luke 10:25-37; 16:19-31; 18:10-14; Romans 2:1-11; Galatians 6:7-8;1 John 3:14-19, etc.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his WORKS shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Revelation 22:11-13

Repentance from Dead Works, Waste

If we are not participating in the work of Christ, if we do not literally engage in “the Father’s business” of feeding His “little flock” and evangelism, by simply doing our part, it plainly proves we are backslidden (Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 2:49; John 21:15-17, etc.). All who are not about the “Father’s business” are all about their own business.

If in this temporal world our whole existence consists of pursuing our own dreams, obtaining that next toy, trip, trinket or status, we also are hell bound like church at Laodicea if we do not repent and buy of Christ gold tried in the fire (Revelation 3:14-22).

If you don’t like conviction of your sin, but rather wish to continue to have your ears tickled till it’s too late (unless you repent) and you are in hell irrevocably, this site would not be the place for you (2 Timothy 4:2-4). There is no end to the list of those out there who will gladly lie to you.

The term “mortgaged to the hilt” refers to those who have vested themselves in this temporal world with a tepid view of eternity (2 Corinthians 4:18). They don’t want to go to hell and yet live like this world is all there is (1 John 2:15-17). Such have freely chosen to be “lukewarm” counterfeits and are in need of repentance before it’s too late (Revelation 2:4-5; 3:14-22). Such a person has chosen to build the house of the earthly life on sinking sand which will be swept away in judgment to the abode of all rebels in the end to whom Jesus declares – “Depart from me”! See Matthew 7:19-29.

“(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)” Philippians 3:18-19

If you are truly Christ’s, you are personally called to participate in HIS work. You don’t get to opt out. No, God holds you 100% accountable and you will stand before Him to give account on Judgment Day. Christians doing secular work is for the stated purpose that they “may have to give” in order to “establish his covenant” which means to do the Great Commission Jesus sent us to do (Ephesians 4:28; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20).

Here’s why God gave you the ability to earn money:

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18

As is demonstrated by the earliest followers of Jesus, when there is true repentance and salvation, there will always be good fruit to prove their true repentance – including letting go of this world and it’s things, and living with an eternal perspective for the glory of Jesus Christ the soon coming KING.

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.” Acts 2:44-45

Those who truly are Christ’s are living for His eternal glory, doing His bidding, His work in this life.

“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. … 37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.” Acts 4:32-37

Jesus’ Prayer to the Father and Our Priority
John 17

“I pray for them (His people): I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.” John 17:9

God’s priority and ours, is His people, not the world and its temporal pursuits. See also Galatians 6:10.

We can’t change this world. It’s perishing. This we see was all foretold. Read Matthew 24; Luke 21 afresh. Should we begin, is it time to pray to our LORD afresh and wean ourselves from focusing on the “wars and commotions” and to obey God by doing His will, doing His Great Commission He sent us to accomplish?

“But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.” Luke 21:9

Is it time we block out the noise, put our hand to the plow of God’s Word, and be about our “Father’s business”? (See Luke 2:49.)

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28

Jesus Conquered Sin, Satan, and Death by Dying [podcast]

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14-15

Through death Jesus conquered sin, death, and Satan and made His people free, washing away their sins in His precious blood and putting His Holy Spirit in them, empowering them to live fruit-filled victorious lives to His eternal glory!

Christ’s resurrection guarantees our resurrection – both now and for eternnity. Those raised up with Christ now are those who are crucified with Him. This is His holy “remnant.” (Isaiah 37:31; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15, etc.).

Jesus conquered sin and death (separation) by dying on His cross. Because of this, we need never live outside of an abiding relationship with Christ. His grace is sufficient to provide everything He died to purchase for us – and all these blessings are appropriated via our faith, our abiding in Him (John 15; Romans 6:14; 2 Corinthians 12:9-10; Hebrews 4:14-16; 7:24-26, etc.).

In order to be raised up, to walk in His resurrection power and grace, we must first be dead and buried with Christ.

“For he that is dead is freed from sin.” Romans 6:7

***ALL Heaven’s going to break out when this hits you in the heart, when your heart perceives this cross economy divine revelation.

Finishing Strong mean Finishing Crucified and Resurrected

HOW will you finish? It’s really how you finish that matters most! (2 Timothy 4:7-8) Finish strong beloved – lay down your life, death and burial, so that the strength of your life is Christ’s resurrection grace! (See 2 Corinthians 12:9-10) Go down deep.

“And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:” Isaiah 37:31

Read the verse above again, looking for the death, the burial, and raising up!

The context Isaiah 37:31 concerns Assyria seeking to seize Judah and yet out of that evil attempt to conquer God’s people came a “remnant.” Yet it’s those who submitted to the LORD in death, those who took root downward (death and burial) who were reciprocally raised up out of that snare and destruction. Resurrection grace wins every time, with no exception! The cross is the divine prescription for absolute victory in every situation.

God counteracts death by the promise of resurrection – now and in eternity! (1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12).

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

The depth you allow God to bury you determines the height of His resurrection, His raising up in your life! (See 2 Corinthians 4:10-12)

“Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. 18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. 19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Proverbs 22:17-21

The only way to prevent holding a grudge, is to simply forgive them – as God freely forgave you through the infinite price Christ paid for your sins on the cross, of which you don’t deserve (Psalms 103:10).

“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.” James 5:7-9

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:30-32

Being kind and forgiving towards others becomes simple as we look in the mirror and declare with Paul the apostle: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.” (Romans 7:18)

Forgiveness becomes easy when we look in the mirror to see the person (us, me) who needs God’s mercy more than any other person alive on the earth! Memorize Ephesians 4:32 now. KJB
