There is no basis for fellowship when you realize that someone doesn’t hold God’s Word as final divine authority. They are “NOT of God” according to Jesus.

HERE’s exactly how Jesus says we know someone is “of God” vs “NOT of God.”

“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:47

Note that Jesus didn’t say “He that understands God’s words” but rather “heareth God’s words.” Those who hear and take God at His Word are “of God.” All others are “not of God.” When you see someone objecting to what Holy Scripture plainly states, you know they are “NOT of God.”

True Heaven bound disciples of Jesus follow God according to the Bible (Psalms 119:105). All others follow a false god they concocted in their own deceived imagination (John 8:47).

The written Word of God is the absolute final divine authority in the lives of each and every one of HIS people.

“Let GOD be true and EVERY man a liar.” Romans 3:4

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The first thing Paul the apostle said we know about him is his “doctrine.”

“But thou hast fully known my DOCTRINE, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,” 2 Timothy 3:10

While the counterfeits run to evade doctrine, the authentic followers of Jesus daily study to ascertain what God has stated and they uphold it as final divine authority!

“doctrine of God.” Titus 2:10
“doctrines of devils.” 1 Timothy 4:1
“doctrines of men.” Colossians 2:22; Mark 7:7

When you meet someone new for example, it would be biblical wisdom ascertain their “doctrine.”

Also consider wildly popular heretics like John MarArthur, Vodie Bauchum, and Paul Washer, each who is a heretical calvinist, etc. They sound good in most of their sound bytes and yet, their foundation is a diabolical system of heresies – calvinism.

Speaking specifically of doctrine, Paul says:

“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” Galatians 5:9

“Thy word is truth.” John 17:17

All believers, including leaders, are called by the LORD to
have a personal and ongoing revelation of Him through His
written Word, as illuminated by the divine Person of the Holy
Spirit. The LORD told us He was sending the Holy Spirit to
live inside each of us to teach and lead us into all truth (Jn.
14:26; 16:13).

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17

YOUR PRAYER: Holy Father please rebuke me and instill Thy holy fear in the very innermost part of my being. Make me a man/woman of Thy truth. I love You LORD Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
