SYDNEY: Passengers on a Qantas flight over Australia were surprised to see a 12-foot python clinging on the wing at 30,000 feet.
The plane was 20 minutes into its flight from Cairns in northern Australia to Papua New Guinea when a passenger noticed the python.
Unlike the movie Snakes on a Plane, this reptile was concealed to the outside of the plane.
Passenger Robert Weber told the Sydney Morning Herald:
“There was no panic,” he said, “at no time did anyone stop to consider there might be others on board.”
The python managed to hang on until the plane landed, but an airline spokesman said the creature was dead on arrival.
Weber told the Sydney Morning Herald:
“I felt quite sad for it, really. For the remainder of the flight, he was trying to pull himself back into the plane, even though he was fighting against 400km/h winds. The cabin crew told us that at cruising altitude, it was minus 12 degrees outside – but not even that was able to finish him.”
Personal Pythons
Recently, as you just read, there was a rather enormous python discovered and photographed on or in a plane wing.
Do you have a python on your wing – that is, a lurking darkness and evil spirit tormenting your life? Is there an unseen force choking the life out of you? Are your days filled with joy and peace or are they dismal and miserable?
Many today are unable to fly or move through this temporary life smoothly and successfully due to having pythons or devils (demons, evil spirits) attached to their lives. But that’s not their Creator’s desire for their lives. In fact, He came and conquered the chief python himself, Satan. And Jesus did that by dying and rising from the dead to defeat the enemy of all souls. When the LORD forgives our sins (at the instant of true repentance) then Satan, the vile python himself, has no more claim to our lives.
God sent His only begotten Son to bless us:
“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.” Acts 3:26
We have all sinned against our Maker who is also the Judge of our eternal souls.
God is holy and our sins separate us from Him. We have all broken God’s laws by lying, dishonoring our parents, cheating, hating, committing a sex act in our mind with someone we are not married to, stealing, coveting, taking His holy name in vain, etc. These are all sins against God and we are all guilty. Committing any single one of these sins makes us guilty of breaking the whole law and worthy of death.
Being set free from all pythons or evil spirit requires submitting your life to God, the only One who has the power to de-devil your life and that’s what He deiries to do because He loves you.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:7-8
Jesus came to set captives free:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19
You and I were born in sin. We have broken the holy laws of God which simply reveals just how sinful our hearts are and just how desperately we need His forgiveness and cleansing, and that’s exactly why Jesus came and shed His blood.
“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:13-15
The war of the ages began when Lucifer rebelled. He was then called Satan and the devil, etc.:
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” Revelation 12:7-12
Are you ready to experience God’s forgiveness, mercy, love, and protection?
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

The LORD Lift Up His Countenance Upon Thee, and Give Thee Peace [podcast]

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:3-7
“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26
