How to Know You are a Counterfeit

Counterfeits are known in that they hide behind excuses and false doctrine, instead of honestly, readily, swiftly confessing their sin. And this is why they refuse to hear the true elders of Christ who preach the pure, unadulterate, raw, Word of God (KJB).

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

It’s more than obvious that you are a tare, a counterfeit if you still attend a “church” or listen to fake preachers who are known by their rotten fruit, including their refusal to preach essential biblical doctrines.

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11

Satan’s false teachers, his “MANY false prophets,” are known in that they refuse to thoroughly teach the essential doctrines of the Christian faith straight from the Bible. Here are a few you will not hear them preaching, especially on a regular basis or thoroughly:

What God calls sin: There are 17 soul damning sins cited in Galatians 5:19-21.
Repentance (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:21, etc.)
The holiness of God (Isaiah 6:4; Revelation 4:8)
The blood of Jesus (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
The essential of personal holiness for Heaven (1 Peter 1:15-16; Hebrews 12:14)
Judgment to come (Acts 24:25; Hebrews 6:2; Revelation 20:11-15).
The essential of the crucified life – the daily cross – to overcome all sin (Luke 9:23-24; Romans 6; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20; 5:24, etc.).

To “endure sound doctrine” means to hear, learn, embrace, and to hold oneself accountable to.

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4

Counterfeits want to be entertained.

“I just got in a discussion with a guy who says ‘The Chosen’ is a good show because it’s entertaining. Then he said if you tried to make a movie about the Bible it would be to short. What? I told him we are not here to be entertained! We are here to participate in the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18- 20). How does this movie participate in this commandment of Jesus? He seems to think it’s okay that as Dallas Jenkins has said, 95 percent of ‘The Chosen’ is not in the Bible, because he is entertained. I told him this movie is a mockery of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7)! He does not care that 95 percent is not biblical because he is entertained! Thank God for Jesus’ fearless truth-telling disciples who are ruining the delusions of the counterfeits – in an attempt to see them be brought to repentance, and saved from the blistering, burning flames of eternal damnation which shall never cease to feed upon their conscious eternal bodies (Mark 9:43-49; Revelation 14:10).

Paul preached “judgment to come.” Are you preaching divine judgment? GOD is the Judge and He commanded you to warn others. – “Judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24)

“And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and JUDGMENT TO COME, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.” Acts 24:15

Paul preached “the terror of the LORD”:

Salvation, ministry, is all about Jesus Christ, not us.

YES God’s people are to “study” His Word and how else to do such than to begin by “READING” His words? 2 Timothy 2:15

“Till I come, give attendance to READING, to exhortation, to doctrine.” 1 Timothy 4:13

“Blessed is he that READETH ….” Revelation 1:3

Years ago I found that if I don’t get up early to read God’s Word and spend quality moments in prayer first and foremost, it will never happen. God must be put first and this requires ruthless discipline.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Reading all of God’s Word is the priority of every astute follower of Jesus.

There’s no way to learn God’s Word other than reading it yourself (2 Timothy 2:15). God gave you His Word in tangible format in order for you to learn of Him, from Him, and by Him. Those who leave it to others to teach them God’s Word are self-deceived and will be misled by those they depend on to teach them the Bible.

“I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12

O the beauty of doing things God’s way. When things are done our LORD’s way, His blessings ensue! Blessings will chase you down! Are you putting GOD first in your life, truly, literally?
