People seeking God, hungering for what is missing in their lives – JESUS – is a blessing. Yet wolves who capitalize upon, who exploit, and make merchandise of these people is diabolical~! (Matthew 21:15-17; 2 Peter 2:1-3, etc.).
BREAKING: Like it or not, you’ve been played for the fool…. if you bought this as a revival from God…. more proof. Does the Almighty now condone sodomy? Has He changed?
SICKENING STUPIDITY: Delusionally, you still have gullible prey, God-less rebels saying things like “But it’s real, God is in Asbury.”
Fake, staged “revivals” are a reality. Asbury is just the latest. Let us learn to discern (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1).
Should this “abomination” of “effeminate” men be accepted or exposed?
REPLY: He’s everywhere in HIS universe….but that doesn’t means He’s blessing sin, which He will not coexist with and condemns (Psalms 5:4; Habakkuk 1:13). Flashpoint: God is “Holy, holy, holy.” (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8) Explain this video below … Openly sodomite at Asbury – *IF YOU STILL BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LEADING YOU TO DEFEND THIS DELUSION, YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO REPENT BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. [youtube video of Elijah Drake, openly sodomite, approved and not rebuke at asbury]
“There is a big difference in ‘all HAVE sinned’ and those who continue to practice sin while claiming to be a preacher or evangelist! Seriously, I am so sick of that mantra being used (by wolf defenders) anytime a watchman does their job and warns!” Gloria Marshall Sykes
When there is sin in the camp, and no repentance nor call to repent, such a place, an assembly, an organization, a people, cannot possibly have the blessing of God who is Holy. Instead of having God’s blessing, they are “accursed.”
“And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.” Joshua 6:18
Romans 1 details the final stages of apostasy of any nation and how the acceptance of homosexuality is the sign of a people who’ve been sent “strong delusion”, who’ve been turned over by God for having “pleasure in them that do them” (the sin, the sodomy), instead of naming it as sin and calling them to repent (Romans 1:32).
“A true Holy Spirit revival does not bring false religions and movements together in unity; neither does it make people who are living a sinful lifestyle feel comfortable and at peace without full Biblical repentance. If it does, it’s a counterfeit. … We are ripe for the greatest deception of all as the one world church is developing preparing for the arrival of the anti-Christ! We will soon witness a deeper display of power; but it will be a counterfeit! The true Christ is coming sooner than you think!” Steven Harmantas
More clear evidence that Asbury is not of God:
“Is the emphasis coming out of Asbury Jesus or the Holy Spirit? Are people talking more about the Holy Spirit or Jesus? The role of the Holy Spirit is to point people to Jesus. From the personal videos and interviews I’ve seen so far it’s all about the Holy Spirit. This concerns me.” Hodos Living
Exactly… IF the Holy Spirit were truly working there, and He’s not, JESUS would be being glorified. See John 16:13-14. WHO did Jesus say the Holy Spirit, when He’s truly working, is exalting?
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:” John 15:26
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:13-14
“I felt several months ago the Lord was telling me to warn of a counterfeit “revival” that would center upon the Holy Spirit rather than Christ. I have stated this publicly many times on my live Bible studies I do here on Facebook. I did not think it would come this soon! Any true revival will be centered upon Christ and His Finished Work…it will be a call to the church to come back to her Foundation!” Karen Hartnett
Jesus commanded His people to know/discern people and leaders “by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:16, 20)
The current fake “revival” has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit…. same thing we see in the NAR and WOF cults right? It’s 100% self-serving and not about seeking, knowing, loving, worshipping, and obeying Jesus Christ. They are not abiding in Christ and therefore the fruit of the Spirit is not being produced in them. Read John 15 and Galatians 5:22-23.
“Philippians 2:3-11 is true revival. Who should be exalted: JESUS – that is the will of God. (Vv. 9-11) I am of the opinion now that most theological seminaries are in actuality white-washed cemeteries from the shear lack of Biblical knowledge and understanding of the ways of the God they proclaim to serve.” Jon Crane

MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Why can’t you all just be excited that people are coming together to praise the Lord.”
REPLY:
Well WHO is being worshipped???? God’s Word is no where to be found and openly being violated…. so how can it be the LORD who is being glorified?
Asbury is a false “revival” and every Bible believer sees it. Notice when the young people speak of Asbury, they never mention the WORD of God and love to use God’s name in vain by saying it’s an “experience with the Holy Spirit” while it contradicts the WORD of God. There is no teaching or preaching of God’s Word at asbury which alone reveals it’s false.
“True revival begins with attention to Scripture. Examples are Nehemiah, Uriah, the Day of Pentecost, etc. It is the application of God’s Word to our lives that leads to revival.” Cliff Denney
You cannot get rid of the darkness of sin in your life unless you hear and obey the Word of God which begins with the necessity, the divine command to “REPENT.”
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130
Concerning how these staged fake “revivals” attempt to make celebrities out of their prey, instead of servants of Christ, Khrista Nelson writes:
“When the Holy Spirit is present, it causes one to preach Gods word with BOLDNESS! I don’t see any fluff after people were filled with the Spirit in the Bible. It’s interesting that the preaching the Holy Spirit caused in the Bible caused those men to be imprisoned and killed!!! Today, a documentary gets created and it’s all over the news station. Everyone LOVES it! Even those hearing it that are under a false gospel. What does that tell you?”
THAT WAS FAST hmmmmmm…. They created a video promoting the Asbury “revival” using a bunch of empty, gullible students. So that’s fast ….like as in, this is all scripted, planned, staged to deceive. Beware! … Now the promotional videos are coming out. Remember these are just gullible kids…. and any of us who have been to Bible college know fully well that it just doesn’t get any more shallow than Bible college students who are open to anything that comes in the name of the LORD. They speak of “more of God’s Spirit”, again NO mention of the written Word much less astute attention given to it.
The promoting of this “revival” should make us wonder why a revival God is doing needs to be promoted so vastly. And it was being promoted immediately after it started. hmmmm Of this, sister Khrista Nelson writes:
“What was also fast is the labeling it a revival the day some students decided to hang back and extend a chapel service. Like within hours it was out that there was a revival happening. Weird! Also, WHY has nobody (that I have seen) from Asbury or in any of these testimonies mentioned anything about the upcoming planned collegiated day of prayer that was planned and to be hosted AT Asbury about REVIVAL! Like, isn’t that relevant? It’s like nobody wants to mention it… Except the people who are skeptical.”
In my estimation this is a completely planned, contrived, staged, fake “revival” and those who hung back were very likely paid to do so.
Could it be that fake “revivals” are for lazy people who refuse to study God’s Word for themselves and walk with Him?
The written Word of God reigns supreme in Christ’s kingdom. Anyone not stringently studying, meditating upon, and walking out the words of God, the Bible, is not a disciple of Jesus. With the psalmist, the true follower of Jesus declared:
“Thy WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105
It doesn’t matter who YOU think God is, SINNER. He can only be known by WHO HE says HE is in HIS Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live (have eternal life) by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
Let me pause here to say what a blessing it is to see so many of Christ’s authentic disciples boldly rise up with HIS Word and “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 3)
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 4
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
We see all around us today professing Christians who “have pleasure” (accept, tolerate) in those things which God calls sin. In doing this, in not speaking the truth which when obeyed, makes men free, they have sided with evil and against the God they falsey claim to serve. In Joshua 6 and 7 we see the story of Israel being defeated at a town named Ai due to the sin of one man, Achan. Until that sin was dealt with, God’s people were going to suffer defeat. See also 1 Corinthians 5 for the importance of keeping all sin out of the campt – and that means not accepting anything that God calls sin in His Word, such as sodomy, homosexuality, fornication.
Lawrence Brown writes: “When I brought this guy (Asbury student Elijah Drake pictured above) up to Michael Brown, he said he spoke to leadership at Asbury and said the homosexuals at Asbury are celibate who admit that it is sinful. He’s clearly NOT calling it sinful. What lies. Michael Brown said I was slanderous and in sin. Yes and there’s many effeminates around today.”
MY REPLY TO LAWRENCE:
Yes brother even “effeminate” men are going to hell 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. It’s a perversion of HIs creation, creative design and order.
The unchanging God will not bless any people, any camp that retains, and in this case, celebrates that which He calls sin – His wrath is revealed from heaven against them! (Romans 1:18)
“Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.” Joshua 7:11-12
Jesus makes it clear that anything with a cursed root cannot possibly bear good fruit.
“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” Matthew 12:33
These facts seem to make it even more obvious that this “revival” is staged by evil doers who are the architechs of the prophesied one world religion.
ASBURY IS THE OCCASION THAT IS CAUSING US TO SEE WHO IS THE LORD’S AND WHO THE COUNTFEITS ARE. WE are seeing in living color, the separation of the wheat and the tares, the disciples true to Christ and the rebels. Those who adhere to the Word of God are His – and all others are rebels and as sure for hell as if they were already there (John 8:47; Proverbs 13:13; Isaiah 5:24).
Let me add that it’s shocking to see the moral coward men who are fighting fiercely to defend sin and satan, all while claiming to be saved and telling you they’re going to pray for you. Talk about delusional! God has turned them over to “strong delusion” and that’s why they believe the lies instead of the truth, Damnation is coming. See 2 Thessalonians 2.
What is the difference between the true and the false Christians? WHO is “of God” and WHO is “NOT of God”? Jesus told us, did He not? Read this carefully:
“He that is OF GOD heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are NOT OF GOD.” John 8:47
Stacy Strother writes:
“Yessir—the time will come, soon to AMERICA, as we see, and seems to have been happening in other countries for years, that men will not “endure/put up with sound doctrine,” they will become nauseated from the true preacher of the holy Word of God. They will then offer us up to the town leaders to be jailed and worse, possibly executed.
This persecution will come much from out of the “Christian,” community!
Let there be no mistake about it, our pulpits are filled with shallow minded, ecumenical preachers who have bought into the lie of Universalism.
There will be no mercy for the true preachers.
However, God will be with us!
Our heavenly reward will be worth it!
Blessings!”
“Prove (test) all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Every true born again, abiding believer desires more of God in their life. John the Baptist cried out:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30
The LORD died to forgive, to save all sinners – On that cross where He shed His precious blood, Jesus paid the full and only price for all sins (John 19:30; 1 Timothy 1:15; 2:4-6; 1 John 2:1-2, etc.). Yet He requires that the sinner repent. There is no alternative. There is no shortcut and anyone claiming to be serving Christ and not preaching repentance is 100% preaching “another gospel” and is “accursed” and absolutely a diabolical wolf (Galatians 1:6-9). You must you admit you have sinned against God, are 100% guilty, and fall upon His saving mercy at the cross of the LORD Jesus Christ and He will wash away all your sins in the precious blood of Jesus. | TIMES OF REFRESHING FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD!
Real REVIVING, in contrast with Satan’s counterfeits, brings the resurrection life of Christ! (2 Corinthians 4:10-12) The daily cross, the death and burial of the disciple guarantees the divine resurrection, the raising up of God! Reviving only happens when we repent afresh – re-turn to the LORD – lay down our lives, deny/die to self, take up the cross, and follow Jesus (not men or their staged “revivals”).
“I can’t even stand the word ‘revival’. It’s so fake and man-made , they slap a label on it ‘revival’ and nowadays they have social media to spread the news about their ‘revival ‘ instead of only banners with revival on it.” Jeannette
The word does not even appear in the Word, the notion of “revival” has been grossly misused for fleshly agendas for at least decades if not more.
“Revive” appears 7 times in the Bible. The word “revival” appears no where in God’s Word and it seems to be a concept sinful men in ministry have utilized to exploit people. That is, such as when they plan a “revival meeting.” Yet the cross is “daily” and Jesus promises to raise up anyone who dies to the self-life so He reigns in their life (Luke 9:23-24; John 12:23-25; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20; 5:24; Colossians 3:3, etc.).
“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” Psalms 85:6
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.” Psalms 138:7
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15
THE POWER OF JESUS THAT WORKETH IN US: RAISED UP IN THE POWER OF CHRIST
Ask Him and when you do, know that God is able to do far above anything you ask of Him!
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20
Seems to me that the lukewarm (who shall be spued) love endless, mind numbing “praise and worship” sessions and yet don’t even study the Word of God daily, the King James Bible. Do they roll up their sleeves, evangelize, feed the poor, minister to others?
Is Asbury from God ?
“As much as you want to believe this revival is read, Todd Tomasella is correct. Unlike Todd I AM unwilling to be engaged in a debate but I do urge you to simply look at the origin of this faux ‘revival’ (Lucifer is their father figure).” Tye
Firstly, let it be soundly established in our minds and hearts, that a revival is not coming – a falling away is already here. This was prophetically foretold to us.
Note the words of Holy Scripture closely…. “A Falling Away First”, not a revival, will precede the Return of Christ.
“Let no man deceive you by any means (including by means of fake “revivals”): for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away FIRST, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…” 2 Thessalonians 2:3
More on this in a moment.
Asbury is NOT a revival of God – It’s the beginning of the final culmination of apostasy, a manifestation of a “FAMINE” induced by generations of false leadership! For false the epidemic of leadership, see Isaiah 9:16; Jeremiah 12:10; 23; Ezekiel 34; Matthew 23; 2 Peter 2; Jude.
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:” Amos 8:11
Destruction follows:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law (Word) of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
WHERE and WHEN there’s no intense and diligent studying of God’s written Word, it’s 100% of the time apostasy with no exception!
“At Asbury, there’s no talk of hell, repentance, sin, dying to self, and taking up your cross daily. There is no mention of ‘Ye must be born again’, nor is there any communication of separation, and not loving the world… just a sugar coated ear-tickling hippie false gospel being preached that the world loves.” C.T.
“They have no discernment. They have fear in their hearts and lack faith in Jesus, so they jump on whatever Christian bandwagon comes next. To me its a sign of desperation.” Kat
“The truth is what they do not like. They have itching ears. They are offended at the Word of God. Jesus said through Paul that they will not endure sound doctrine. They believe the lie, rather than the truth. It is Jesus they hate that is in you. Jesus said my doctrine is not of this world.” Darlene
“Unfortunately, too many people, Christians are guided by their emotions instead of the Word of God. Very few people actually read and take time to study the Word!” Angeli
“Sickening. Not the revival but religious folks mad at college kids praying and not clubbing. Get a life. Do something for Jesus instead of talking about people.”
REPLY:
Sounds like some demons manifesting here….. How does what you said here change the reality of this “revival” – what it is and what it is not? …. how does it prove biblically that this Asbury “revival” is authentically from God? So, you are saying that switching from one delusion (bar hopping) to spiritual delusionment/fornication is a good thing? Are you genuinely born again? The burden of proof is upon you to demonstrate that God’s Word is at the forefront and HE is being honored by those who believe and preach and teach HIS Word. Otherwise, the truth is that this is a fake, a false “revival.”
The following response was given to a man who was insisting that a sister in Christ “blasphemed the Holy Ghost” by discerning and exposing the Asbury delusion.
“With no fruit to prove it’s authentic and much fruit to prove it’s false, you conflate asbury with the Holy Spirit which means you’ve taken the name of the LORD your God in vain by putting His holy name on a ploy of satan. This is just how delusional you are. You’ve unfortunately not been a man of truth and so God has turned you over to “strong delusion” so that you will believe the lie, and you do… and you will be damned if you don’t repent.”
2 Thess 2
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; …
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them STRONG DELUSION, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be DAMNED who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
No Bible No God – If it doesn’t honor His Word, it doesn’t honor Him!
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Psalms 138:2
God’s written Word is God’s truth and God’s grace or love never ever negates His truth! HOW could anyone at Asbury possibly be repenting, being saved, born again, and sanctified when the Word of God is not even being presented?
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17
Read those words of Jesus again. If the truth, God’s Word, is being intentionally hidden from the people at Asbury, and it is, HOW could there possibly be true repentance and sanctification transpiring? Impossible!
“Absolutely and I wonder if there are actually curses being placed on people or a Kundalini spirit being unleashed. People could be worse off for attending. Nothing would surprise me.” Jennifer Leigh
“FOX NEWS interviewed some of the students who had attended. They only spoke of feeling peace and love and kept referring to the “God of unity”…” Melissa
“This (Asbury ‘revival’) is worse than shallow emotionalism. There is a powerful spirit present and it is not the Holy Spirit. These people are being deceived into submitting to an antichrist spirit – Paving the way for the forthcoming one world religion of love, peace and unity (not grounded upon and centered around Scripture or the Jesus Christ of the Bible).” Renee Courtland
“Way too many believers take the words of men and let their emotions and personal wishes take precedent over what God’s word says these days. Discernment is not desired, sought out or prayed for either.” Barbara
Lynne Parker writes:
“The ‘church’ has been primed for years to fall into this trap. Dominion theology rode into the church like a Trojan horse. The teaching of a great end time revival (which is opposite of the Word in which there will be a great falling away) coupled with a growing ecumenical ‘love fest.’ As well the Word has been oh so subtly downplayed for years. But Without the preaching of God’s Word what Jesus are we worshipping? individuals that are holding back or expressing concerns as they obey God’s Word to try ‘scrutinize’ the spirit behind it are met with angry scowls and outright disgust. Perhaps God is just pealing the onion so to speak. This is what happens when you do not have a love for the truth. I’m not professing myself to know it all – I’m sure I could use correction in interpretations on certain things but I’m close enough to God to know He is not playing a game. And yes, any professing Christian wants young people to come to Christ – but the right one of Scripture not ‘another Jesus’.”
I agree with both of our sisters:
“Most will probably go home and when the honeymoon is soon over (the emotional experience) they’ll forget the whole thing. Must have the Word of God, at least, if nothing else, hand out Bibles and provide Scriptural discipleship, follow ups etc. They need discipleship after conversion. Personally I doubt there’s true repentance going on at Asbury, in my opinion.” Teri J Willis
“I wish the old fire and brimstone Preachers would come back! I could listen to them all day!!!” Gina

GREAT point…. please let’s pause, right now, in Jesus’ name and pray for those fire and brimstone preachers to be raised up!
REVIVAL MESSAGE FROM TERRY R. GREEN:
“In 1999, I was at a conference with Bro. Don Brankel and we spent much time fellowshipping. After the service we were eating and talking and he told me about preaching at a large church that had been involved in certain “ revivals.” At the altar time he said there was all kinds of stuff going on. At one point while standing by the pastor in the Altar area, a man was crawling by them on all fours barking like a dog. The pastor exclaimed to Bro. Brankel, “ Wow! I wonder what he’s got?”
REPLY:
All these contrived “revivals” are false and people are starting to see it for what it is…. yet many also still love their darkness rather than getting honest and loving the light of truth (John 3:19-21; 2 Thessalonians 2).
“Isn’t it funny how this coincides with the one world religion opening the other day? …. Stay strong my brother we were going to witness a lot of this in the end of days.” R.
Since when does the world and known false ministries, the enemies of God, promote the Gospel? They don’t. What does that tell us of the Asbury “revival” which is being promoted by numerous ungodly outlets and known false prophets? (Fox Nes CBN, etc.) Consider these words of Jesus:
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ...” John 14:17
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” John 15:19
The world is the opposing kingdom of satan and as such hates the true children and work of God.
“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” John 17:14
In light of this truth, the love being showed by the world for this Asbury “revival”, should raise the eyebrow of the discerning.
Speaking of Discernment…. the people who’ve attached their emotions to something, usually react violently when that something is questioned or exposed. Have you noticed?
CAN YOU HELP ME FIGURE THS OUT?
IF Jesus didn’t want His people to “know” (Gr. discern) people, namely “false prophets”… “by their fruits”, WHY O WHY did He say this:
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall KNOW (discern) them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? … 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:15-16,20
Many reading these words are victims of the fleshly revival schemes of the past. There are many involved, especially the young people, who simply want more of God in their lives, who are innocent. They are being misled by their handlers, those on the ground in Asbury, and those who operated from afar. Many are taken in by this fanfare of these staged “revival” who don’t yet know these are false and that they are being played. The evil ones are satan’s minions who planned and are perpetrating this fraud on the people which has an evil agenda behind it. God is going to judge every one of these animals – their “DAMNATION (in hell) slumbereth not.” (2 Peter 2) It’s more than abundantly clear that the elders at Asbury are apostate, antichrist wolves who have deliberately refused to establish sound doctrine and biblical order (Acts 15; 20; 1 Timothy; 2 Timothy; Titus, etc.).
“For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:” Titus 1:5
Those being misled have no idea that those which have perpetrated this, who are putting God’s name on it, are using them to an evil end, for their own self-serving agenda. And it’s Satan who is controlling those handlers. The enemy’s kingdom is one with great organizational structure with the agenda “to steal, to kill, and to destroy.” (Ephesians 6:10-18; John 10:10)
Let us be nourished up in the words of our God beloved saints. Our KING – JESUS – is coming (John 5:39-40; 1 Timothy 4:6; 2 Timothy 2:15, etc.). Beloved of God, let us get into God’s Word as if our life, our eternal souls depend on it – because they do! | Philippians Narrated
FACT: In every city in America there is praise and worship gatherings weekly. WHAT makes Asbury special? Nothing, other than the contrived fanfair surrounding it – which is all planned and many a biblically-illiterate dupe bought the package. Make no mistake: There’s an evil agenda behind it – whether you know what that agenda is or not.
There has to be a nefarious agenda behind Asbury because persecution comes from the world when there’s true revival, not praise. Remember all the persecution of the apostles and early church in Acts when God moved and saved souls and did miracles?
“The world loves it’s own. It only goes after those not following its counterfeit agenda.” Rozy
“Some assume that the last days deception will be blood and gory stuff, simple to recognize, it won’t. It will be subtle, cunning, and ‘almost’ of God! See Matthew 24:24.” Stacy Strother

Anyone who thinks Asbury is an authentic “revival” is biblically illiterate or disobedient and in need of shutting out the noise and getting lost in true repentance, in the King James Bible, and holy prayer communion with the LORD – before it’s too late (Proverbs 18:1; Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 6:6; 2 Timothy 2:15).
Many of us have been to Bible colleges. The susceptibility abounds, The vulnerability of the young seeking souls is beyond legit. It’s an open target for Satan who breathes his evil, “strange fire” into the very dwelling place which is supposed to be the place of the worship of the LORD (Leviticus 10:1-2; Psalms 74:4-7, etc.).
Asbury is not a true revival. It appeals to the flesh, to the feelings, the emotions of the gullible instead of the hearts of men via the Word of God.
“I believe Christian’s have greatly underestimated the power of Satans deception. He can mimic or counterfeit the Holy Spirit. Our only defense as these last days grow more intense is the Word of God. Regretfully the church overall has been conditioned to expect a feeling of God’s nearness or expect some manifestation of God – it has become subjective instead of objective truth of God’s Word. This condition prepares people to accept lying signs and wonders. It is a dangerous thing to lean upon one’s own understanding and discern by how they feel.” Lynne Parker
Start, orchestrate something, nearly anything, and put God’s name on it by calling it a “revival”, promoting it, and bam it explodes – because it costs men nothing of themselves, it does not call them to come and to die, to lay down their lives and follow Jesus. This gullibility is due largely to youth, who are being exploited by the evil powers under Satan’s control (Ephesians 2:1-3). It is all planned, all to usher in the antichrist, the one world religion (Revelation 13-14).
The resume of godless people professing to be serving the LORD listed in detail in 2 Timothy 3 has never come to life like we’re seeing it manifest now.
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, … 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;” 2 Timothy 3:1-7
Lynne Parker writes:
“Let us dear saints remember that absolutely the only defense we have to discern this revival is God’s Word. The psalmist writes that he hates every evil way and since the Holy Spirit is defined as the Spirit of Truth he will only anoint truth and lead into truth. We cannot go by our feelings or subjective experiences but only the Word of God – even though many people are involved, no matter how many ministers are going that direction. Certainly we desire individuals to repent from the works of darkness so let’s be clear: it is right to worship, right to pray, but all is founded upon Gods Word. Even the great psalmist of Israel, king David, at one point tried to carry the ark of the covenant on a new cart and it cost somebody their soul. we cannot approach God, except only on his terms, and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ out of an obedient heart. consider please, and these facts can be proven. If you search them out, this school teaches aberrant theology they teach contemplative prayer practice, the lecto divina and do the Eucharist. All of these things are of the darkness. Now it seems to me that if this revival was indeed Holy Spirit led, the first thing up would be repentance of these practices and these abherant teachings would be repudiated publicly. Wow that would be great. Then revival would truly break out because it would be founded upon the blood of Jesus Christ alone consider as well that there are warnings of “another” Jesus. Christian unity can only be found on correct Christology, which is Calvary’s cross. We cannot worship in spirit and in truth with so much a mixture. This cannot be God as wonderful as it seems, and it is good that people have spiritual hunger, but they need the preaching of the cross. That we all be on the same page of one mind and one spirit in the unity of the faith. This is a huge deception to base whether or not this is of the leading of the Holy Spirit by our feelings or how many people are there. As well there are warnings in the Bible that there will be, a great falling away from the faith. This does not mean people will stop being religious or going to church. It means they will go after every wind of doctrine and leave Calvary. Please consider these sayings it’s Bible and it’s very frightening to watch happen. Let me say it again, true Christian unity is only through individuals who believe in the doctrine of the cross. This is why it’s through the foolishness of preaching that men are saved . awake and be sober. It’s almost over.”
To the righteous, this is merely a wake up call. The reality of Revelation 12:12 is at hand. Satan is coming down with great wrath, great deception in that which he is using the name of the LORD to promulgate. It’s all in vain, having a mere outward “form of godliness,” being led and filled with those who love self, who worship the god of self and therefore their emotions, pleasure,, just as did and does their father the devil (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:13-19; Luke 10:18; Revelation 12:7-19).
“Those who do not receive the truth, the warning about Satan’s work via these ‘revivals’, have an antichrist spirit. No love for the truth.” Jeannette
ALL who do not receive the love of the truth of God are being sent by Him “strong delusion” so that they receive the lies, are deceived, and will be damned.
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition … 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2
Read 2 Thessalonians 2 each morning this week. Pray. 2 Thessalonians 2.
At Asbury, God’s Word is not being honored. Instead the false leaders are appealing to the emotions of their prey. It’s not based on divine truth. Bibles aren’t even being opened because God’s Word is not even being opened and communicated from the platform! On this point alone, we know this is all false. “The sword of the Spirit” is THE WORD OF GOD and so just WHAT spirit is active when God’s Word is not center stage? DEMONS! (Ephesians 6:17) WHERE the original Gospel of Christ on recrord, the Bible, the written Word, is not honored, it’s “another gospel”, and “another Jesus”, and “another spirit” (demons). See 2 Corinthians 11:2-5; 13-15; Galatians 1:6-9).
WHEN God is being glorified, HIS written Word is center stage. Otherwise He is not being glorified. Asbury seldom if ever even opens God’s Word, much less reading it, and when they do, it’s a fake “bible.” Apostasy!
If you are truly born again, please be exhorted to repent afresh and begin obeying the Word of God instead of worshipping at the altar of self.
“But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” Matthew 16:23
So many whiners defending Asbury, insisting that all of us who are asking simple questions are just cessationist, pharisees, and/or jealous. Interestingly though, I’ve personally asked dozens of them to produce the plain, clear evidence that the Word of God is being preached as Asbury. Not one of them has even attempted to present proof. Interesting. What does Proverbs 18:13 tell us?
The Plain Biblical Pattern for the Gathering of God’s People is Anchored in His Written Word.
So when we see a gathering where the Bible is not opening and being read from, extensively, we know that that gather is run by false prophets – with NO exception, ever!
“And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose … So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” Nehemiah 8:4, 8
“And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live (have divine life) by bread alone, but by every word of God. … And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read (WHAT did Jesus open and read?). 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:4; 16-19
“And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures … And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed …” Acts 17:2; 10-11
FYI: The concern of many is what agenda is behind this “revival”. Thanking God for any of the good things God may be doing and yet we KNOW, as in many things, the Roman Catholic cult is the rat behind it. They are serving their murder-Jesus-again, blood-drinking cannibalistic Eucharist every day at Asbury. Also, wherever God is honored in reality, not in lip service, His WORD is front and center, not set aside, not ignored. Praise and worship in never seen as the dominant element of New Testament assembly worship. In fact, of the 4 elements of worship listed in Acts 2:42, it’s not mentioned as one of them. hmmmmm The Holy Scriptures have always been the grounding element in worshipping the LORD when His people met. In comparison, can anyone find a bunch of praise and worship sessions in the gatherings of the saints on record in Scripture? Not there.
When men speak for God, they speak HIS oracles, His words, the words of Holy Writ we have recorded in the Bible, the most important, power, and infuential book, ever, forever. When elders do not upholdy God’s written Word they demonstrate openly not to be HIS but rather in rebellion against Him!
“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles (written words) of God…” 1 Peter 4:10
Notice how when God’s Word is center stage, Christ is magnified and people get saved?
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine (the WORD) and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42
Does God’s Word inform us that “praise and worship”, singing songs, OR the WORD of God accomplish His will?
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
Alan Ray writes:
“I looked into Asbury. They’re going to bring in Rick Warren on Feb 23rd. I saw a video having WOF heretic Francis Chan all excited about Warren going to Asbury. It could have been suspected that this ‘experience’ would be directed by heretics, and likely by NAR and WOF in particular, because they like to lean on ‘supernatural’ charlatans. This Methodist church, (according to what I read) celebrates the ‘Eucharist’ daily. I went to a UMC a few years back, and found the pastor saying he was “very ecumenical”. He confessed having gone to Rome, and openly fellowships in that hogpen. So I’m not at all surprised Asbury is joining together with ecumenical mega-heretic Rick Warren and Francis Chan.”
JESUS’ WARNING: “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:11
TYPICAL MESSAGE RECEIVED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIKE WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS:
“But you’re sowing discord among the brothers and God hates that!”
REPLY:
So please explain how simply communicating GOD’s Word itself equals sowing discord among the brethren Waiting. What does the LORD command His people to do in Romans 16:!7-18 and Jude 3?
Was the apostle Paul sowing discord among the brethren when he openly, publicly rebuked the apostle Peter for his error in Galatians 2? Or, was Paul obeying God by defending the faith of the Gospel against those who would pervert it? (Romans 16:17-18; Ephesians 5:11; Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 3-4)
HAVE you noticed all the people coming out of the woodworks, by the droves, to defend something they emotionally attached themselves to (instead of living by biblical truth)? Yet, you never ever heard from them when for years many of us have discussed, posted, communicated BIBLE truth. Why? Simple: the have no desire for the Word of God, to truly know the LORD. They don’t seek HIs face, otherwise they’d be doctrinally astute, full of the WORD of God.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly (abundantly) in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
ALL who are not daily, diligently in God’s Word have already backslidden (2 Timothy 2:15).
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere (pure) milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter 2:2
When we get into God’s Word daily, it gets into us and it circumcizes our hearts – cutting away the sensual, the emotional – and grounds us on the bedrock of divine truth! It’s the “sword of the Spirit” … “quick (alive), and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit.” (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12)
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
ANY person defending or supporting the enemy of Christ will be judged into hell with that false prophet/movement/ministry (2 John 10-11). You’ve been warned. It’s best to shut the mouth till there deep knowledge from the Word (Proverbs 18:13). | The Danger of Bidding Godspeed to the Wicked [podcast]
It’s quite interesting how people who do not like the truth will judge you WHILE they are condemning you for supposedly wrongly judging. They could easily agree to disagree but they choose rather to attack. Doesn’t both me, just saying. Yet they get highly offended that you don’t buy into the delusion they are ensnared by (Provers 23:23).
REPLY:
So let me get this straight, YOU are pretending to be godly here (as you claim I was) and judging me… and of course, that’s ok, right? all while judging me for defending the faith which is the command of God? Jude 3 hmmmm
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 3
Let’s stick to the topic. Do you realize that in Matthew 7:1-5 Jesus is talking about hypocritical judgment and not all judgment? “JUDGE righteous judgment” says the LORD John 7:24…
So please give us all the Bible verses that instruct Christ’s true disciples to sit back and let other of His sheep, bought by His precious blood, be deceived by the “many false prophets” He so often warned us about…. waiting. Any person who doesn’t now see the evil of their way, the hatred they are displaying before the very Savior they claim saved them, is in deep darkness and in need of repentance before it’s too late.
If you are going to judge and defend, please tell and/or show us all about the cardinal Biblical doctrines of the Christian faith being preached at Asbury please. We’re all waiting because none of those who are foolishly defending this delusion have produced an iota of evidence for what they are falsely claiming. All due to not loving the truth of God and attaching their emotions to something instead of being true disciples who love God’s truth. God is sending them “strong delusion” and they will be “deceived” and “damned” to hell (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).
“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:11
GOD’S WORD FORETELLS A GREAT FALLING AWAY AND NOT A GREAT REVIVAL IN THE LAST DAYS. READ 2 THESSALONIANS 2; 1 TIMOTHY 4:1-2; 2 TIMOTHY 3:12-13; MATTHEW 24:10-14, ETC.
When Jesus warns His followers about “MANY false prophets” who will “deceive MANY,” is the Son of God just being jealous?
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Again I strongly warn you not to call that which is of God from the Devil….These students are not REPROBATES…”
REPLY:
I strongly warn you to prove it’s from God, which you can’t because it violates His Word. Show us all where the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith are being taught at Asbury and if you can’t, that your clue to repent and cease defenders the very “enemies of the cross of Christ.” (Philippians 3:18-19) They are prey, pawns and you also….ANY person defending or supporting the enemy of Christ will be judged into hell with that false prophet/movement/ministry (2 John 10-11). The Danger of Bidding Godspeed to the Wicked [podcast]
“I am set for the defence of the gospel.” Philippians 1:17
HAVE you noticed how many people are so diligent to defend mere sinners, mere men and women and movements they like? This they do in the face of God’s Word, rejecting Christ for mere men/women. The divine mandate is to earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints and “MARK” deceivers (Romans 16:17-18; Jude 3). They seem not to truly love Jesus and therefore are more interested in defending mere men than defending the faith of Christ for His glory and the protection of His sheep for whom Jesus died (Philippians 1:17) These flesh defenders seem to have no concern for the millions of people their “Christian” heros are misleading.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 3
WARNING: Those who bid Godspeed to false leaders will be judged with them! 2 John 10-11. Are you an accessory to the fact? Are you aiding and abetting the enemies of Christ? If so you will be damned with them. Repent now and get into the King James Bible.
“Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.” Proverbs 9:6
This fake “revival” has drawn many an older, ministerial counterfeit out into the open. Many of these men once walked with God and yet didn’t keep under their body and shall soon and foreever, irrevocably be “castaway” from the LORD into the fires of eternal damnation for forsaking the Son of God (1 Corinthians 9:27; 2 Peter 2, etc.). These are the apostates Scripture so often speaks of (2 Peter 2; Jude, etc.). Several men I’ve personally known for many years, who’ve been in ministry for decades, are coming out in defense of this delusion, manifesting their apostasy, their darkness. As the younger prophet fatally found out, never follow anyone except the LORD Himself. He was eaten by a lion which represents the “roaring lion” who is Satan (1 Kings 13; 1 Peter 5:8). Never follow any mere man – namely elders who have departed from the Word itself and Himself! Read Proverbs 3 and 4. Beware.
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes (leaders).” Psalms 18:8-9
Any person defending this delusion is living and judging things by their carnal senses and not the Word which proves they are apostate. They did not “endure to the end” and are fallen away (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Luke 8:13; Hebrews 3:6, 12-15; 10:26-39; Revelation 2-3, etc.).
“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:21-25
SMH: We continue to hear delusionals declare that we can’t judge asbury because we are not there in person, present. Is this true or false?… Absolutely false. #1 DOCTRINE must be judged AND it’s all on record that they are not preaching, teaching the Bible. Boom. Case closed. Time to wake up. NO NEED to patronize this delusion by going there. They are on full display. Sorry, but have you ever heard of a video platform called Youtube? “It’s all media”? So you can’t SEE what’s going on video the hundreds of hours of video available? It’s interesting how several people this week who had not themselves gone to KY but yet they swore this was an authentic revival. YET they told me I couldn’t possibly know asbury was true or false unless I went there in person. These people are in deep darkness.
Can’t Discern if Asbury is True or False until Going there in Person? Not.
For those who ingest and obey God’s Word, even our senses can become so attuned and molded by God’s truth, His written Word, that they can “discern good both and evil” by their “senses.” – “even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14
Those who are Christ’s and mature, seasoned by studying daily, learning, and walking in His Word, are like Paul, able to discern “as absent in body, but present in spirit.” They don’t even have to be present. Read this closely:
“For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1 Corinthians 5:3-4
The Holy Spirit showed Paul that their was sin in the Corinthian church and that they weren’t dealing with it. Read 1 Corinthians 5.
Those who’ve seen how Satan has used his human agents, wolves in sheep’s clothing, over a long period of years, become accustomed to the devices of Satan to mislead God’s people and that’s why we are told not to be “ignorant of his devices.”
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11
“Brother Todd… I want to thank you for exposing this fake revival for what it is. God help us to stay vigilant and remain walking with the full armor of God in discernment always so that we don’t fall prey to Satan’s last day antics. He knows he has a short time left so he’s doing things big now like what you see in Asbury to confuse lukewarm Christians and others who don’t die to self or walk in the Spirit as a way of life. We need to pray without ceasing and stay covered in the blood of Jesus to not allow one small crack in our armor. Only those who die to self daily for the one who died for us, will make it to Heaven in these last days. Let’s pray for each other that we stay strong and thank you for preaching TRUTH as alway brother.” Suzanne
We are witnessing on full display, out in the open for all to see, the separation between the wheat and the tares, the sheep and the goats, the remnant from the counterfeits (Matthew 13 and 25). …. Now that the evidence is laid out to clearly prove the Asbury “revival” is a demonic delusion, ALL who still attempt, in any way, to defend or even more deceitfully, seek to insidiously cover for this enemy operation in Asbury, will expose themselves as tares. They will be rejected as heretics according to the command of God.
THIS IS A COMMAND OF GOD TO YOU – “A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition REJECT; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” Titus 3:10-11
THIS IS A COMMAND OF GOD TO YOU – “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Matthew 7:6
Jesus told us it would be this way as His return neared. amen. Read Luke 21; Matthew 24
ALL these men who defended this asbury fraud should humble themselves before God in repentance (Isaiah 58; Ezekiel 18:30-32; Hosea 10:12, etc.). And IF they truly repent they WILL bring forth fruits to prove it – by coming out publicly and admitting they were dead wrong about the asbury delusion and apologize for anyone they misled and for bidding Godspeed to the enemies of Christ (Matthew 3:7-10). IF they do not come forth publicly, they are to be rejected as unrepentant, hell bound heretics, swine, dogs (Matthew 7:6; Titus 3:10-11).
The silence is telling. They leveled a firestorm to defend this demonic collusion in asbury and now, crickets. Does that seem to be evidence of moral cowardess?
ALL who get saved and then do not continue in the doctrine of Christ – Genesis to Revelation – are hell bound lost souls.
Read this carefully and please share – and notice how ALL who condone, defend, “bid Godspeed” to false leaders, will suffer the same eternal judgment which is hell (2 Peter 2:1-3):
1 John 7-11
“For MANY deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
It’s interesting that we have people who keep saying things like: “Well, let’s just give it time. I am not there in person so I can’t know for sure.” Nonsense! Here is my reply to one such man:
Can you see a car in a video and know it’s a car or do you have to travel to see that car in person???? Yes or no? YES! Let’s get real…..The point is, there are hundreds of hours of “ministry” at this supposed “revival” and little or no teaching of the Bible…. false revival 100% on that point alone. Period. Let’s stand up like men infused with the holy fear and Word of God…. and stop pandering, stop being spineless, now. It’s 100% FALSE. It’s catholic, it’s pro-homo, pro-sodomite which is pro “abomination” to God (Leviticus 18:22). JUST WHAT more does one need to know it’s false???? Repent and stand up now.
Charismatic, NAR (New Apostolic Reformation), evangelical, Catholic …. apparently it’s all mixed into one actually…. with Rome at the center, Ecumenical one world religion, perfect storm for the antichrist to take his temporary place, but it won’t last because Jesus is going to judge that whore – Revelation 17-18. | The Reign of Christ [podcast]
“The way people have run after this Asbury counterfeit ‘revival’ makes it clear that it’s going to be incredibly easy for the One World Religion to take effect.” Linda
“KEEP THY WORD CLOSE TO THINE HEART SO THAT I DO NOT SIN AGAINST THEE !!!!! (Psalms 119:9, 11, 133)” Andre
“John 4:24 “God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.” The foundation of Christian worship must be the truth. What’s happening in Asbury (though many are surely sincere) is that there is a mixture of unscriptural practices. This college teaches contemplative prayer for one thing. I saw an advertisement that they also celebrate the Eucharist. If God the Holy Spirit (the spirit of truth) were leading it the first thing up would be the repentance of these false teachings. There is no doubt they are ‘experiencing’ something but we don’t discern through subjective feelings but rather the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; 5:14). Anyone who disparages the Word of God – seeing it as unnecessary or not final divine authority – is clearly not of God – for He stated that He exalts His Word even above His name. Psalm 119 and 138:2, carefully studied, reveals the eternal importance of God’s Word itself – and it’s through the foolishness of preaching men are saved (1 Corinthians 1:21). The enemy HATES the Word of God and works through the spirit of religion (the harlot) to offer mankind any other alternative- music/worship (and I love it) but it has become the drawing card – this is idolatry in itself. Pure and simple, if Christ and Him crucified is not the focus, the object our love, worship, and heart affection, you will end up worshipping ‘another Jesus’ which the apostle warns us about (2 Corinthians 11:2-5). Contending for the faith is not for cowards. Picking up the cross and following the LORD Jesus of Scripture will be involving fewer it seems going forward.” Lynne
THE TEXT VERSION OF THIS POST IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND YET WE THOUGHT IT NECESSARY TO LAUNCH THE PODCAST DUE TO THE VITAL NATURE OF EXPOSING THIS WORK OF THE ENEMY. THERE IS MUCH WEALTH IN THE TEXT BELOW AND YET IT’S PRESENTLY RAW AND UNEDITED.
DEAD RINGER. ALL ARGUMENTS TO DEFEND THIS FRAUD ARE OVER.
Revelation 17-18. This is 100% proof that anyone who didn’t see this as a fake revival is walking in absolute darkness and in need of truly repenting, going on an extended fast, crying out to God to have mercy upon them, to grant them true repentance, and to break and to strip them (Hosea 10:12; Ezekiel 18:30-32; Jeremiah 17). Beginning In the 1950’s the Jesuits began infiltrating the protestant seminaries and churches under the Vatican’s counter reformation campaign.
Christianity cannot, can never possibly be mixed with the antichrist pagan cult of Roman Catholicism.

“This is a highly dangerous national movement launched at Asbury. They even have a new Hollywood movie to go along with it: Jesus Revolution. Make no mistake this is antichrist and great deception. Yes, the actor that plays Jesus in the apostate show the Chosen. Kelsey Grammer and a number of other Hollywood people. Like The Chosen this is worldly entertainment with a Satanic agenda. Anytime the world supports something supposedly Christian, our radars should go up. We are at the end of days- never was the world more evil and against the true Jesus Christ of the Bible. God’s ways are eternal- they haven’t changed since the beginning of creation. If you don’t hear or don’t recognize the Lord’s voice, that is something to get serious about doing (hit your knees) today. ‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.’ John 10:27-30″ Renee Courtland

“I too have concerns about this ‘revival.’ I too want young men and women to repent.
‘Spiritual Awakening’ brings a connection with NAR (New Apostolic Reformation witchcraft cult) beliefs and mystical practices.
* Asbury Theological Seminary seems to align with
Progressive Christianity (social justice).
Other concerns that can be found :
1. Contemplative prayer
2. Spiritual Formation- they list as FLEX
3. Eucharist
4. Lectio Divina …. Google
5. A quiet garden for meditation with a Labyrinth is Christianity mixed with mysticism.
Is the gospel of Jesus Christ being preached?
Are they praying that men and women will surrender their lives, repent, and obey?”
Sharon Wylie Hagglov writes:
“WOW❗️I’ve read of other accounts where people there have said there is no mention of sin, no mention of repentance, no mention of the cross in one’s life, & no mention of hell….although there is a blue lit cross on the platform …NAR and Progressive Christianity are coming together …for the Day of Prayer 2/23/23 Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle, and the Kansas Prophets are booked to be there. Also Rick Warren, retired pastor Saddleback church. Not sure if this should be called Ecumenical, or Interfaith? I think at this point Ecumenical. Everyday, new News 😥 NAR leakers are coming for the 200th anniversary of the 1st Asbury revival , …not sure if Bethal directly, but IHOP , and others with the NAR, New Apostolic Reformation are going ….including Rick Warren, an Ecumenical leader who headed up a group of NAR to go to meet the Pope. 🌹”“
“This is all leading into a one world church. The antichrist church of lies. People following the crowds. They are following that which feels good to the flesh. Read Matthew 24 KJB.” Darlene
It’s fitting that rebels love anything that does not cost them their own life in this world which God requires that they sacrifice in the daily cross. They want the promise but they’re not willing to meet the condition and so they are sitting ducks to run after anything that claims to be a revival. They will travel for many miles and spend thousands of dollars to go try to get a fix, a quick fix, but they won’t spend one minute praying and fasting and seeking God in the Word, in prayer, and fasting.
IF you don’t love, stand on, and obey the truth of God – HIS written Word – you are a godless hell bound rebel. Repent now sinner.
“IF ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But IF ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” Isaiah 1:19-20
“IF ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT” – Talk is cheap (1 John 3:18). Only those who willingly, obediently repent, and obey God, prove they love and worship Him above all.
What you’ve got is a bunch of gutless quitters who refuse to repent right where they are, deny themselves, take up the cross daily and follow Jesus whereby He will revive and raise them up and propel them into victory. So all you have to do is stage a fake revival and all the gullible come running from far and wide to support and to defend such a catastrophe that is going to bear no fruit for the glory of God. God works by the economy of the cross, which means you die and are buried and He raises you up. That will never change, and anybody walking outside of this cross life is not increased. They have rejected Christ, and that’s why they run to get their fix which only perpetuates them in their delusion.
Defenders of this fraud have provided no biblical proof that this is an authentic revival from God. The earmarks of a biblical revival are not present. When there’s no repentance and the cross there will be no reviving or raising up or resurrection power of God manifesting.
Regrettably, this is just another fake revival that is misleading God’s people by leading them to believe they don’t have to repent and obey God by being daily crucified with Christ (Romans 6). It pretends to give them another way, a shortcut, It doesn’t have the earmarks of being truly of Christ, according to the original Gospel.
The whole covid/death vax scam was a test and as you know, so many gullible people took the bait, hook, line, and sinker. Well Asbury is a test and as you can see by the interaction on my social media pages, many have taken the bait. They are ripe for the antichrist picking. The Vatican is laughing at the stupidity. Beware saints. Be not deceived. Read Revelation afresh this week beloved. Jesus is coming.
Cross-less counterfeits refuse to die – and that’s what this is all about. Counterfeits are easy to play, to deceive. All you have to do is make a false promise to them, to offer them another way, a way around dying to self, right where they are, where God has them. So, they vainly believe they can get a quick fix in some “church” building in another state. And it’s all because wolves are putting a sales job on them to convince them God can’t do His work in their life right where they are on His planet, and so they need to pack up their vehicle and travel to another state. Little do they realize there are no shortcuts to the cross. None. Not one (Galatians 2:20; 5:19-24; Colossians 3:3). You either die the death or you live in sin and die separated from God and go to hell (Romans 6; Hebrews 12:14; Ezekiel 33:12-13). You either truly repent and confess your sins and forsake them or you remain in them, in darkness, in denial of the truth, in denial of Christ, and hell bound (Proverbs 28:13; Luke 14:33; 17:33; 19:27; Mark 9:43-49). The unrepentant love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil and they refuse to repent and let Jesus reign in their daily life. They will spare no money or time to go to the furthest lengths to put a band aid on a gaping wound – their sinful heart. They will do anything except repent and die to self as Christ commanded (Luke 9:23-24).
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. :21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:19-21
Cross-less counterfeits will always be perpetuated in their delusions until they truly repent, right where they are, lay down their life in this sinful world, deny self, take up the cross, and follow Jesus daily (Luke 9:23-24; 14:33; 17:33; 19:27; John 12:23-25, etc.). Traveling to another location on the planet changes nothing other than prolonging the misery of sin. God will not deliver anyone until they truly repent before Him – and it’s only then that He forgives their sin and shuts Satan out (James 4:7). There are no shortcuts. God wants to bless you right where you are on His beautiful planet and He sure will – if you will come afresh to Him in repentance and confession of your sins. “Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the LORD”… a divine promise (Acts 3:19). | Fresh Start with God
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Hey Todd,
Here is a testimony from one of my very dear friends that took a trip yesterday to Asbury…
He wrote:
‘Just came from the revival in Asbury. There’s so many detailed reports and photos posted already. I just can’t give language to all I saw and encountered. I had waited over 50 years for this moment to be back where I had attended this school in my youth. To see this with my eyes again! My heart was strangely warmed. God’s sweet presence swept Hughes Auditorium at Asbury University. There was so much worship, confession and repentance, joyful responses to love him more. And the call to missions. Acts 4:20. It was so good!’“
MY RESPONSE:
Your friend is under a demonic delusion…. same as the Mormons. Your friend is emo… not a man of truth, he’s living by his feelings…take a look at:
Luke 24:32, “our hearts burning within us,” and the Mormon testimony
The “Word of the Holy Spirit” is on record between Genesis and Revelation. No one needs your supposed “Word from the Holy Spirit” because He gave it to us in His Word. Time to get Gospel grounded – Genesis to Revelation. Repent and get over yourself! Primarily, Jesus reveals Himself to His people in His Word, leads His New Testament church by His written Word, led by His Spirit (Luke 24:44-45; John 5:39; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).
If you have to get into a vehicle and travel somewhere far away to somehow get revived, it can only be for one reason – you are a rebel who refuses to repent and lay down your life in daily crucifixion RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE – and so now you’re running for the fool’s gold, the quick fix, the trinket. Not going to work. Unrepentant rebels are dismal, dark, degenerate, miserable, blind, naked, and ashamed no matter where on God’s green earth their feet tread. Read Romans 6 to see how Christ’s remnant disciples are to live, to walk.
“Literally, the first word that Jesus ever said to the public is ‘Repent’ as recorded in Matthew 4:17….” Brian Joel
“Strangely definition: in an unusual or surprising way. Should not the people of God know their God? (John 8:32; Heb. 8:11; Isa. 52:6) Should not students at a ‘Christian’ university be ‘born again’ believers (John 3:3) and therefore students of the word of God? (Isa. 57:15) Should not repentance do a work beyond human reasoning or feelings? (Rev. 2:5) I’ve watched some of the videos about 4 hours and heard maybe 5 minutes of speech between hours on hours of contemporary Christian music. I like contemporary, but where are the Psalms and hymns we were instructed to sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord? (Eph. 5:19-21) I am very wary when the prince of the power of the air prophets start covering this on their tele-vision. programming.” Jon Crane
“Many people think it’s knowledge in the world but the Lord is speaking of knowledge in him. This is why so many don’t know the truth because they rather run to everyone else for it other than truth himself…Jesus Christ.” Tina
Numerous people are sending me Fox News links etc. To them I am replying with….
Unless you can show us where the actual preaching of God’s Word is going on in Asbury, I will never believe it is authentic, from God. Those who truly are “of God” honor God and preach, teach, communicate, and ground everything in Him from His Word.
SETTING YOU UP TO DECEIVE YOU
MANY deceivers today misuse the verse below to say that somehow, God is doing something different, something contrary to what He says in His Word. Beware, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33):
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
It’s easy to deceive the gullible masses. They are only gullible and being destroyed because they have chosen to chase rainbows instead of diligently devouring God’s Word daily. Their house is built on sinking sand. Hell awaits (Matthew 7:19-29).
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
First off, let me say that God is moving in the hearts of His true remnant. All others are outside of His kingdom, though many claim, swear they are Christ’s, “Depart from me” is what they are going to hear as the Almighty vanquishes them as rebels into eternal hell, if they don’t repent.
MORE CLEAR EVIDENCE OF THE PROPHESIED GREAT FALLING AWAY:
“…because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 5:24
It’s interesting how so many come out of the woodwork on social media to defend a supposed “revival” using no biblical evidence that it’s authentic, and yet these same people do not daily interact with the Word of God on social media. Think about that. And that’s the problem….. all of a sudden THEY are the authority, they come to the rescue to conclude that a fake “revival” is authentic, when there’s no biblical proof, all because of how it makes them feel – because they are not circumcised in heart and so not men of truth, but rather men in the flesh, carnal, not men who are “valiant for the truth,” earnestly contending for the faith of the original Gospel once delivered to the saints (Jeremiah 9:3; Jude 3-4).
ALL who cast away the Word of God will be destroyed by God.
“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 5:24
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” Proverbs 13:13
The man of God will NEVER bid Godspeed to that which does not align clearly with Holy Scripture. And this Asbury “revival” clearly does not.
IS GOD’S WORD FRONT AND CENTER OR IS IT APOSTASY? It’s one or the other.
Question: If and where God’s Word is not honored, diligently taught and observed, is that place “of God” or “NOT of God”? I am expecting your Yes or No answer. Here’s some help…. What did Jesus say?
WHO is “of God” and WHO is “NOT of God”? Jesus told us, did He not? Read this carefully:
“He that is OF GOD heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are NOT OF GOD.” John 8:47
If you are not a man of the WORD, you are “NOT of God” according to Jesus (John 8:47).
With no exception, those who are “of God” hear and obey and embrace, and hold as the highest divine authority, the written Word of God which is the “MORE sure word of prophecy” (2 Peter 1:12-21). Men of God declare with Christ’s apostle Paul – “Let GOD be true and EVERY man a liar” (Romans 3:4).
Counterfeits are insisting that “God can move anyway He wants to” and in doing so are openly revealing they are “NOT of God” and acting as if God is confused and contradicting Himself. See John 8:47 to see who Jesus says is “Of God” vs who is “NOT of God.” Boom.
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
THIS is why God gave us His Word – to keep us safe from the “MANY deceivers” and false prophets among us (Proverbs 30:5-6).
“For MANY DECEIVERS are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” 2 John 7
Say it out loud with me…. “God is not confused and is not the author of confusion and anyone contradicting His written Word is a demonic fraud!”
“Thank you Bro Todd Tomasella. We all know when YT or other social media allows a sermon like this to spread, its always preaching another Jesus. Because if its the truth, they will cancel it.” Marcus Crassus
“I listened to the YouTube sermon and it was pathetic. I had heard about this supposed revival and was excited believing God was really moving but based on what I’ve just watched, which I had to put on double speed in order to get through it, this ain’t it!!” John Umlauf
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“I’m getting some very good reports from Asbury from those I trust…they’re all saying that people are crying out in repentance…the “Cross” is the only thing that can produce that…I would encourage you to take a quick trip out to Asbury just to confirm or otherwise your personal conviction on this move…could be genuine brother!”
REPLY:
That’s totally subjective. Why not trust God instead of mere man? “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD” (Jeremiah 17:5). “He that trusteth in his own heart (much less another mere man’s) is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered” (Proverbs 28:26). Before we condone such a “revival,” why not test it against the only One worthy to be trusted – His Word?
WHERE O WHERE is the preaching of the Word of God in Asbury? Not just some lame feminized 30 something-year-old standing up there talking, but rather a crucified with Christ man who is teaching or preaching the BIBLE itself, straight from the Scriptures.
Hundreds of people repenting and being saved at Asbury? hmmmm Any professing Christian wants young people to come to Christ, but is this what is happening at Asbury? What are they repenting of if they aren’t even hearing God’s Word preached and thereby being convicted of their sin? Which they aren’t because the Bible is seldom if ever opened at Asbury. What are the attendees being converted to? God’s unchanging pattern is that His Word be preached and this is how He convicts them of their sin and saves souls (Matthew 28:20; Mark 16:15; 2 Timothy 4:2, etc.). Oh and what are they actually being won into if the Word of God isn’t present? What spirit is present on the wings of the rebellious refusal to communicate God’s Word? – “seducing spirits (demons) and doctrines of devils” are inseparable in the apostasy (1 Timothy 4:1-2).
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith (apostatize), giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” 1 Timothy 4:1-2
HOPEFULLY PEOPLE ARE REPENTING EVERYWHERE ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH, IN SPITE OF THE REBELS WHO ARE MISLEADING THEM BY NOT PREACHING THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD’S WORD. See Jeremiah 12:10; Isaiah 9:16; 2 Peter 1:3, etc. That’s not the concern being communicated. We sure do hope so, we hope people are truly repenting, in spite of the overlording agenda of the handlers, we praise God for any and all who will repent there or anywhere, in spite of the WORD not being preached. On that note, WHY is one little gathering in one place getting so much attention? WHAT’s the agenda behind it? Not good I can tell you that. God holds all the false prophets there who refuse to preach His Word personally responsible for their rebellion (Isaiah 5:24). “…because they have cast away the law (Word) of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 5:24)
Was there preaching when 3,000 then 5,000 souls were saved after Pentecost? Yes. Acts 2 and 4. Notice when we see the church gather in the days recorded in Nehemiah that the elder read the Bible itself, then helped the people understand it. ALL, everything was grounded in the Word. Anything else is apostasy, period. When shall we learn? Egg on the face is coming, again, if we dare be so gullible, rebellious.
“So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” Nehemiah 8:8
Dear Asbury defender….. Please tell and/or show us all about the cardinal Biblical doctrines of the Christian faith being preached at Asbury please.
SAINTS, we are seeing the prophesied great apostasy before our very eyes, where you have biblically-illiterate, don’t-care-what-God-says, professing Christians who have no regard for or fear of the LORD. EVERYTHING goes – just slap the word “Holy Bible” on a butchered content book (fake “bibles”) and they buy it wholesale. Get a big hooray going with good music and stage it as a revival, and they will buy into it wholesale and defend it. They will evade the Word itself, will deny Christ instead of self daily. These same people have no cross or testimony of the precious blood of Jesus, the saving power and grace of Jesus Christ in their personal lives – because they are not in God’s Word as if their life depends on it, they are not taking up the cross – living the crucified life – and following Jesus (Luke 9:23-24; Romans 6; 2 Corinthians 1:9; 4:5, 10-12; Galatians 2:20; 5:34, etc.).
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:1-5
THIS ONE GOT HEATED!
MESSAGES REC’D:
“Pharisees see through religious lenses. The prisoners in china who get jailed and killed for Christ is their life and relationship fake because they can’t read the bible during their worship time in jails and underground churches?”
REPLY: (he repeatedly called me a pharisee due to not agreeing with him – no different than delusionals calling everyone a “r.a-cist” who doesn’t agree with them. He swore that at Asbury they were reading much Scripture and yet when asked, could produce no proof – as in video proof, which there is at least dozens of hours of on youtube) Here’s was one of my responses to him:
So adhering to the written WORD as Jesus said He is the Word and says that we are to search the WORD and the WORD shall never be broken…He’s a pharisee? John 10:35; 5:39-40….do we have Bibles? Yes. The Chinese Christian’s tear pages out of the Bible and pass them around and so they don’t even individually have the whole Bible and yet know it much better than the typical lame American “Christian.” Boom. Christians, everyone in America has Bibles, so no excuse. Case closed. Yet you are bidding Godspeed to those who don’t honor and therefore preach God’s Word. “PREACH the word.” 2 Timothy 4:2. Repent now sinner. Or you will perish with the counterfeits you are defending. 2 John 7-11
WHEN they are saying that signs and wonders are happening, TEST IT as God instructed you to do. Discern against the WORD.
Notice the order here – first comes PREACHING the Word, then the signs and wonders. Hmmmmmm. Is there a rat to smell in Asbury?
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and PREACH the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” Mark 16:15-20
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3,5
How can sinners be getting saved when repentance is not even being mentioned, much less preached?
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:32
Repentance is a change of one’s whole life and direction or it’s not real. It’s a falling upon the mercy of God in Christ in total sorrow for sin…. and surrender.
“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” Matthew 3:7-10
True repentance always, with no exception, brings forth a changed life:
“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:19-21
Actually, I hope we are all wrong who believe there is no original Gospel being preached at the Asbury “revival.” What I’ve personally seen so far is not the original Gospel. There’s no repentance in it. So, it’s false. And they are using fake “bibles,” and until you can clearly demonstrate that repentance is being preached, please cease defending this “revival.” Do you know what Acts 17:10-11 and 1 Thess. 5:21 reveal? Fox News is not represented by Bible believing Christians… Bereans who test everything against Holy Scripture.
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“We allow the Lord to Move. Who made you God and King?”
REPLY:
You say: “We allow the Lord to Move.” So, mere man is in control? Do WE dictate how God moves or does He? Does the LORD move contradictory to His own Word? He’s confused? See 1 Corinthians 14:33. Was there preaching of His Word when 3,000 then 5,000 souls were saved? Yes (Acts 2:41; 4:4). Tell us where there’s the preaching of the Word at this “revival”? God has spoken. Do you have a King James Bible? WHO made you queen? You offer no Scripture which clearly defines that you are biblically illiterate and just going with the flow of the prophesied great falling away. God is calling you to repent and be soundly grounded in His Word.
Some claim that many are repenting. How can people be repenting, for real, if there’s no preaching, especially on the essential of repentance? On the day of Pentecost, when 3,000 and then 5,000 men repented it was at the preaching of the apostles Peter and John (Acts 2:41; 4:4). The very first word, divine command from the mouths of John the Baptist, Jesus, and the apostle Peters was “Repent.” (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Acts 2:38; 3:19) Has God changed? No. There is no preaching of God’s Word which means there’s no honoring of God Himself at this Asbury “revival.”
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” Proverbs 13:13
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11
138 times in God’s Word “preach,” “preached,” and “preaching” appear. Has the Almighty changed? Is He doing things some other way, OR are gullible, biblically illiterate people staging a fraud?
In the Old and New Testaments, the revivals we see are lost people getting right with God and they always involved the preaching of the Word of God. See Jonah and the 8,000 souls who were saved at Pentecost when the church was born (Acts 2 and 4).
WHEN 3,000 souls were saved and then 5,000, was there preaching? Yes, in both cases. Read Acts 2 and 4. “Preach the word” (2 Timothy 4:2). Peter, anointed by the Holy Ghost, preached. God moves in conjunction with the preaching of His Word. So, when there’s news of a supposed “revival,” look for the preaching of the WORD, not some lukewarm pansy standing there talking and musing about life on his own terms. Look for a man who is crucified with Christ, with Holy Spirit fire in his eyes, consumed by the Holy Ghost. Or, a man who is simply teaching the Bible itself – which is a lost art in God’s Word and is making way for the prophesied great apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2). Jesus is coming saints. Cling to HIM – to His words. Pour over the Word daily, memorize, and meditate upon it.
God ordained the preaching of His Word, of the Word of the cross. Here’s a mere sampling:
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and PREACH (proclaim, declare) the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
“For the PREACHING of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
“PREACH the word…” 2 Timothy 4:2
“Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. 3 For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. 4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live…. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:1-4, 20-23

“Yeah clearly a bunch are jealous and looking for reasons to dog other Christians and I really don’t have to entertain your rhetoric and spreading of discord among the brethren but What a sad state of mind you all must live in if you don’t worship God for your salvation and praise the Lord every day life I clearly said “AS A RESULT OF” In other words afterwards and since they have been converted Since they believed since they repented Idk how it went you people but when I got saved there was no stopping the praise and worship
If you can’t worship God in real life You all have bigger problems than a Facebook post.”

Apparently, you are not a man of the Word of God, a man of truth, by your own admission (Matthew 12:34). Where do we see all this public praise and worship in the New Testament church, among the earliest believers? You’ve made an idol of it apparently. If you have so much grace, as you seem to infer, WHERE is it in your words here? WHERE is the Holy Scripture? Apparently, you are being led around by the nose by the great apostasy that was foretold and it’s all because you aren’t grounded in the Word for yourself (2 Timothy 2:15).
Paul instructed Timothy (and us) to “Study” the Word (2 Timothy 2:15). Did Paul ever instruct anyone to “praise and worship” as we know it today? Nope. What does the biblically-stated imperative of the written Word vs the gross lack of emphasis on “praise and worship” say? Did God forget to tell us something we needed to know, or have sinful men, misusing His holy name, over emphasized it?
Acts 16:25-26 record how Paul and Silas sang praises in jail and God caused an earthquake. This was amazing and yet, in the gatherings of the saints, do we see an elaborate praise and worship session or set up anywhere in the New Testament canon? No.
So, instead of offering Bible truth they stand on, gutless cowards lash out emotionally, having no substance to offer when their apple carts are flipped, and begin to attack the mere messengers of the Word of God. They call you “jealous” since they have no substance to offer. The true remnant disciple declares with David that “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalms 119:105).
One of the utterly lame defenses of false revivals is “Oh, but you’re just jealous.” Was Jesus jealous when He rebuked the false leaders and their falsehoods in His day? Matt 23, etc…. How about the apostle Paul? Was he just being jealous when he rebuked false doctrine such as in Galatia?
When Jesus warns His followers about “MANY false prophets” who will “deceive MANY,” is the Son of God just being jealous?
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
“the enemies of the cross of Christ”
“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision… (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)” Philippians 3:2, 18-19
BEWARE OF THE “ENEMIES OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST” – THOSE WHO REFUSE TO DIE, TO DENY SELF, TAKE UP THE CROSS DAILY – LIVE THE CRUCIFIED LIFE – AND YET THEY RUN AROUND DEFENDING THINGS THAT HAVE NO BIBLICAL RECONCILIATION.
Isn’t it time to get into God’s Word and stop defending the enemies of Christ? Bidding God speed to them will land you in hell with them according to 2 John 7-11.
God will never raise up that which is still alive under it’s own power, but only that which is dead and buried “with Christ” (Romans 6).
“Any first responder will tell you. You can only revive what is dead or dying. Been saying this for years. Want revival then die to self/ the flesh. Be born again. You were first born a living soul. We are born again a living spirit. If you’re full of The Holy Spirit and dead to self, walking circumspectly, seated in heavenly places in Spirit ~ then you’re truly alive and there is no need for revival – because you need no reviving, you are being raised up.” Todd McAdams
Had a guy insist that I could not discern whether Asbury was false until I literally went there in person. Is that true or false? Let’s examine together…. Here’s my response to him before blocking him per the command of Matthew 7:6 and Titus 3:9-11:
You have provided no proof that Asbury is a God revival. It’s not. Delusional. Yet you have not been there and insist it’s authentic while telling me I can’t insist that it’s fake since I also haven’t been there. Neither of us have been there. No need to go there. You have no video proof with hundreds of hours of video available, to demonstrate that God’s Word is being preached at Asbury. You are dead wrong. Think about it….So, here you are right now, via a social media platform, making conclusions about me while simultaneously insisting that I can’t make determinations about something that has mountains more information available than you have on me, and it’s on video. Think about your convoluted delusion here…. In reality, you simply do not want to die to the self life. You want to believe there can be a quick fix, a magic pill to undo all your rebellion, your refusal to lay down your life in this fleeting world and die the death, truly, practically, daily be crucified with Christ, for real. Romans 6. God is calling you to freshly repent and return to Him, before it’s too late (Hosea 10:12; 14:1-2).
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Have you been there, Todd? I’ve heard totally different versions then what you’re espousing. So with that being said, hearsay from a 3rd party isn’t sufficient enough for you to make critiquing posts. Maybe you should go check it out for yourself and then come back with your subjective opinion.”
REPLY:
Have you watched the videos? Where is the preaching of the Word, the Gospel, the cross, sin, hell, repentance? Those are all cardinal doctrines of the original Gospel and every true disciple, Bible student, knows such. Please demonstrate where the Word is actually being preached, especially under the power of the Holy Spirit. The burden of proof is on you – to demonstrate, to test, to weigh in the balance this supposed “revival” against Holy Scripture. Do you understand what Acts 17:10-11 teaches?
Are they preaching that “ALL have sinned” and repentance? If not, it’s false, period. we must discern what they are preaching.
Acts 17:10-11
2 Timothy 3:10
Look at the doctrine, not the fanfare. If sin and repentance, are not being preached it’s “another gospel” 100% (2 Corinthians 11:2-5; Galatians 1:6-9). What are they preaching?
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
One lady claimed God was showing her that “screaming repent” is wrong and that those exposing this false revival were acting grossly immoral.
MY REPLY:
So obeying God by preaching the Word, reproving, rebuking, and exhorting, as He expressly commanded (2 Tim 4:2) is being immoral and showing gross behavior? Were the prophets of God, John the Baptist, Jesus, Peter, Paul, John “screaming” repent? No. But they preached it and commanded that HIS people preach it – “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:47).
“God … commandeth ALL men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30). No one gets restored, refreshed until they repent (Acts 3:19). The burden of proof is on you to reveal where sin and repentance are being preached at this Asbury “revival.” Until you can do that, not only is your doctrine in error, but you are out of order. What you are claiming God is showing you is subjective, not the Word, and it contradicts His Word. You are not speaking the truth of God’s Word but rather going by your emotions, your own feelings. I suggest you evaluate what spirit is driving you. God doesn’t contradict His own Word. He’s not the Author of confusion (1 Cor 14:33). Was Christ’s apostle Paul being evil, behaving grossly toward others when he openly rebuked the apostle Peter for assimilating with false doctrine and wolves at Galatia? See Gal. 2.
It’s beyond dangerous to attach the name of the LORD to something that He could not have told you because it contradicts His own Word.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:16
“How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;” Jeremiah 23:26
“Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,” Ezekiel 13:17
To defend a false revival commandeered by those in error is to bid God speed to the enemies of God (2 John 7-11).
Those who “mark” false prophets and heresy are obeying God by earnestly contending for the faith once delivered to the saints – in obedience to the LORD and so His saints can be protected in His truth (Proverbs 30:5-6). So, they are acting justly.
“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.” Proverbs 17:15

Perhaps the best thing about these supposed and staged “revivals” is singing old hymns. But who needs to travel across the country for that? Isn’t it time to go back to the early church model of simple, organic gatherings of just two or more saints where Jesus promises to be present and bless? Bam. Read and live Acts 2:42-47 beloved of God.

Please prove 500 people got saved? If so it is in spite of the lack of preaching of repentance. Show us in God’s Word where it says: “You can’t thump ppl on the head about sin and expect them to listen.” heretic….. Waiting.
In your definition, John the Baptist, Jesus, and His holy apostles were false – because “REPENT” was the first command of the original Gospel (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30; 20:21, etc.).
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.” Acts 17:30
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3, 5
“Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38
LAME. FEMINIZED. FAKE “bible.” NO REPENTANCE. NO CROSS: Any message of “love” being preached which isn’t coming from the cross, beginning with repentance, is false love. Please demonstrate how THIS is a “revival”? If you are pushing or defending this Asbury “revival”…. this will embarrass you if you have any conviction in your heart for God, truly.
No cross being preached at Asbury – Christ’s cross and the one He commanded that His followers take up daily (Luke 9:23-24).
John the Baptist, Jesus, and His holy apostles preached repentance. Anyone not preaching sin and repentance is preaching “another gospel” and is an “accursed” antichrist (Galatians 1:6-9).
“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now COMMANDETH ALL MEN EVERY WHERE TO REPENT.” Acts 17:30
If they aren’t preaching repentance, it doesn’t matter what else is happening – IT’S FALSE.
Repent now and buck up to the original Gospel – which begins with the command to repent – and that doesn’t take getting in a vehicle or flying to another state! God’s presence is everywhere in HIS earth – ready to save if we repent, right? Isaiah 59:1-2. For the essential doctrine of repentance, see Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Luke 13:3; 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:21, etc..
“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” (Romans 10:8)
Andre writes:
“Concerning the Asbury ‘revival’, I haven’t heard anyone preaching repentance or sound doctrine.. just 24/7 worship.”
“I heard this….. some Bethel and Hillsong music and Todd Bentley was showing up to ‘soak’.” J.
One man looking into, reporting on the Asbury “revival” noted:
“Not A Good Sign At Asbury: When Todd Bentley And Queer Students Like Your Revival”
Do we really see 24/7 worship in the NT church in God’s Word? I don’t think so….. Jesus prayed all night to select His 12 that’s the only thing we have on it… “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God” (Luke 6:12).
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“You don’t preach ‘repentance’ btw. Repentance is something that takes place after the GOOD NEWS IS PREACHED.”
REPLY:
One apostate man just told me: “you don’t preach REPENTance”. Wow. Totally biblcally illiterate.
The words “repent” and “repentance” appear 72 times in God’s Word – the King James Bible.
WHO preached REPENTANCE?
John the Baptist
“And saying, REPENT ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 3:2
Jesus
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, REPENT: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
Peter
“Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38
“REPENT ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19
Christ’s Apostle Paul
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to REPENT:” Acts 17:30
No one will be saved without REPENTing (Luke 13:3, 5, etc.). AFFIRMATION without salvation, regeneration, is rampant in today’s apostate modern church world. Beware.
One is hard pressed to hear any modern pastor use the word and essential divine command to “REPENT.” This was foretold for these final days in which we live. Any man not preaching the essential biblical doctrine of REPENTance, not using the Bible word “REPENT,” is preaching “another gospel” and is an “accursed” wolf with no exception! (See Galatians 1:6-9.) Run. If you sit under, if you patronize any preacher who isn’t regularly using the divine essential command to “REPENT,” you are as deceived and hell bound as this vile antichrist you are bidding Godspeed to (2 John 10-11).
GOD NEITHER FORGIVES NOR BLESSES ANY MAN WHO DOESN’T FIRST REPENT.
“I use to see (as I’m not on YouTube much anymore) so many people/teachers talking up a ‘billion soul harvest.’ It didn’t matter that that flies in the face of Jesus’ own words:…”narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matt. 7:13-14″ Jon Crane
What does it say for those who run to get a quick fix in a supposed “revival”? It seems to indicate that the LORD is not important enough to them to seek, to worship and to walk with, to love, in their daily life and so now they’re going to run to the staged “revival”.
Asbury Revival?
WHY would anyone take a trip to Asbury when the You tube evidence shows no preaching of God’s Word? What did Jesus tell the woman at the well concerning limiting God to a physical location? Read John 4.
For many reasons, I’m always leery when a “revival breaks out.” Historically, in our day especially, there have been so many “revivals” that were 100% staged by wolves to get the masses of the gullible to flock there…and give their money and draw attention to a certain ministry. Beware. God is present right where we are on HIS planet. “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save” (Is 59:1).
History will show those who ran to some location to try to participate in some “revival” did not retain such. In other words, there lives were not bettered when they returned – in the biblical sense.
We’ve all heard about the suction technology that instantly removes the fat around the patient’s belly. But is this the best solution for their life? No. Yet, people will pay big money to undo their own irresponsibility. What have they learned? Nothing. Do we not realize that when a person loses weight by working out and eating correctly, that they learn something in that journey. It forges in them the desires to keep that fat off their body, right? Quick fixes are not always gold, even though they tempt people with the glittering prospect of quickly undoing something wrong they did over a long period of time. Seems wise to learn something so that one doesn’t have to repeat the error.
Jesus teaches us that real change and the “manifest” presence of the LORD only come to those who embrace His Word, who love, worship, and obey Christ (John 8:47; 14:21-23). These blessings don’t come from praising and worshipping the LORD. There is no magic bullet in Christ’s kingdom but there is a cross to be born, “daily” (Luke 9:23-24). Time to get into the trenches and stop buying Satan’s lies. The cross, the trench equals your own death and burial and guarantees the resurrection of Christ – raising you in His glory, His grace, His power, and His victory! (2 Corinthians 4:10-12)
God only touches people who repent, trust Him, and obey Him… Read John 14:21-23 to see who Jesus and the Father camp out with and bless. Too many shallow, counterfeits seeking for a quick fix, chasing rainbows at false “revivals.” They want God to undo all the wages of their sin in one quick shot so they can just go out and live in sin again. But this won’t happen – God will not bless, will not save any person who does not truly repent. Period.
Jesus teaches us that real change and the “manifest” presence of the LORD only come to those who embrace His Word, who love, worship, and obey Christ (John 8:47; 14:21-23). These blessings don’t come from going to a supposed “revival” and praising and worshipping the LORD endlessly. There is no magic bullet in Christ’s kingdom but there is a cross to be born, “daily” (Luke 9:23-24). Out of that abiding relationship with Christ, practically walking with Him daily, will be the progression of “fruit… more fruit, much fruit” produced in our lives (John 15). Time to get into the trenches and stop buying Satan’s lies. The cross, the trench equals your own death and burial and guarantees the resurrection of Christ – raising you in His glory, His grace, His power, and His victory! (2 Corinthians 4:10-12)
Even if it were true that people could run to some location, to flood some church building, and truly get revived, that would NOT change the non-negotiable need for the daily cross – for dying to self daily so Jesus is raising your upward, reviving you with His resurrection power (Luke 9:23-24; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20; 5:24). God only revives those who are dead and buried with Christ, truly. No supposed “revival” changes God’s Word because nothing does. There is no shortcut or replacement for a crucified life.
A HISTORY OF FAKE “REVIVALS”
“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2
God’s people were in need of true repentance, not offering vain worship.
Is the LORD calling, leading anyone to travel to find “revival”? No. God is calling us to travel to our knees (figuratively at least) in repentance. It’s then that His mighty arm, His strength will be manifested to conquer all our enemies.
Have you noticed that most people will do ANYTHING except truly repent? They are willing to try any principle, prescription, or gimmick, as long as it doesn’t require their own crucifixion. These are whom Jesus says “loved darkness rather than light” (John 3:19-21). Like Israel, they will render fake repentance (Psalms 34:18; 51:17; Isaiah 66:1-2). Remember, true repentance always, 100% of the time, results in a changed life – a life that pleases God, that is sanctified, set apart, and fruitful to His eternal glory (Matthew 3:7-10; John 14-15, etc.).
Many want revival but not repentance. They want the crown but not the cross. They want the prize but not death to the self life. Beware (2 Timothy 4:2-4).
The only thing that stands between you and true divine resurrection grace is your own repentance, laying down your life, dying and being buried. It’s then that He will raise you up – revive your life! No need to travel to try to find the “presence of God.” Beware of the constant gimmicks.
The principle is no different than the click bait videos, or throwing things up on social media in order to get likes, clicks, etc. This is the same thing certain ministries will due to attract traffic, attention, dollars.
Most people refuse to repent and will do anything except truly repent. Yet they want to simply drive somewhere where there’s supposedly a “revival” transpiring. The last time people had to be in one specific place to “receive power from on high” was on the Day of Pentecost when the church was born (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-42). Christ Himself organized that one!
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9
To the woman at the well, Jesus seems to make it clear that He is our Salvation, our Source, and that goes for anywhere we are on HIS earth… He’s looking for His people to repent and trust Him and not travel to attempt to find Him. He’s not hiding – He simply isn’t revealing Himself to the casual seeker and requires that we repent right where we are. Refreshing and revival will follow (Acts 3:19). Does Christ not openly dispel this false notion that worship happens due to a certain location? Yes. Not even in Jerusalem.
“Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” Jn 4:22-26
God’s glory fills the whole earth! Here are some examples of How the LORD tells us that His earth is His handiwork and is full of His goodness, His riches, and His glory:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalms 19:1
“He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.” Psalms 33:5
“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” Psalms 104:24
“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3
Nigh thee – just obey
Does God instruct people to search out, to find, to travel to get in a “revival” as if He’s specially touching a certain group or place? What New Testament example of such do we have? Chasing “revival” or Jesus?
Repent, trust God, and flourish with fellow disciples right where you are.

Richard Foster Exposed
Wait, WHAT, WHO are Christ’s disciples to celebrate?
“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14

Richard Foster—Celebration of Deception
by Bob DeWaay
Christianity Today ran a glowing cover story about Evangelicalism’s recent embrace of medieval Roman Catholic mysticism entitled The Future lies in the Past.1 The article traced the beginning of the movement as follows: “The movement seems to have exploded in a 24-month period in 1977-1978, which saw the publication of Richard Foster’s bestselling Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth and Robert Webber’s Common Roots: A Call to Evangelical Maturity.”2
The article views Foster as one who continues to guide the movement: “From Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, and living practicing monks and nuns, they [those going back to Roman Catholic mysticism] must learn both the strengths and the limits of the historical ascetic disciplines.”3 So Foster was instrumental in starting a movement that is still growing 30-plus years later.
The irony about this particular CIC regarding Foster’s 1978 book is that in 1978 I myself was living in a Christian community committed to practicing much of what he promotes in Celebration of Discipline (even though we had not learned it from him directly). So I am not criticizing a practice about which I know nothing (or one in which I have no experience). I am criticizing a practice I foolishly allowed to deceive me for a significant portion of my early Christian life. When it comes to being deceived by mysticism, I have had abundant involvement. The only way I escaped it was through discovering and adopting the Reformation principle of sola scriptura.
In this article I will show that Foster’s “journey inward” is unbiblical and dangerous. I will show that most of the spiritual disciplines that he calls “means of grace” are no means of grace at all—but a means of putting oneself under spiritual deception.
The Journey Inward
The Bible nowhere describes an inward journey to explore the realm of the spirit. God chose to reveal the truth about spiritual reality through His ordained, Spirit-inspired, biblical writers. What is spiritual and not revealed by God is of the occult and, therefore, forbidden. We have discussed this in many articles and have produced DVD seminars on the topic. But the concept of sola scriptura is totally lost on mystics such as Richard Foster. They, like the enthusiasts that Calvin and Luther warned against, believe they can gain valid and useful knowledge of spiritual things through direct, personal inspiration.
Foster describes the idea of the disciplines that are the topic of his book: “The classical Disciplines of the spiritual life call us to move beyond surface living into the depths. They invite us to explore the inner caverns of the spiritual realm.”4 So Foster has conceptually repudiated sola scriptura on page one to replace it with a journey inward to explore the realm of spirits. Something must have been seriously amiss in evangelicalism already in 1978 to render this book a bestseller! It ought to have been repudiated on the spot. In a footnote to that statement Foster writes, “In one form or another all of the devotional masters have affirmed the necessity of the Disciplines” (Foster: 1). The devotional “masters,” by the way, are mostly Roman Catholics who never were committed to the principle of sola scriptura. It is not surprising that they looked for spirituality through experimentation. But as an “inner light” Quaker, Foster never was committed to sola scriptura either.
Forgetting that the Bible forbids divination, Foster explains what he is after:
[W]e must be willing to go down into the recreating silences, into the inner world of contemplation. In their writings, all of the masters of meditation strive to awaken us to the fact that the universe is much larger than we know, that there are vast unexplored inner regions that are just as real as the physical world we know so well. . . . They call us to the adventure, to be pioneers in this frontier of the Spirit. (Foster: 13)
Realizing that his readers would likely take this as an endorsement of Eastern religions, he makes a disclaimer that it is not Transcendental Meditation (TM) or something of that ilk: “Eastern meditation is an attempt to empty the mind; Christian meditation is an attempt to empty the mind in order to fill it” (Foster: 15). But what Foster wishes us to fill our minds with are personal revelations from the spirit realm that we naively are to think are the voice of God. This sort of meditation is not meditating on what God has said, but uses a technique to explore the spirit world. In other words, it is divination.
What we learn about the spirit realm either is revealed by God (once for all in Scripture) or gleaned by man-made techniques. That distinction is the difference between Christianity and paganism. Only Bible believers know what God has said about Himself and what He wishes to reveal about the unseen spirit world. Foster’s material continues to be popular because we live in an age where being spiritual pioneers on a journey into the unseen realm of the spirits is the essence of popular piety. It is the spirituality of secular talk shows.
To fully understand the degree of Foster’s deception, he even calls these techniques to the inner journey “means of grace”: “They [the Disciplines] are God’s means of grace” (Foster: 6). As with all who teach spiritual disciplines, there are no boundaries to these false “means.” For example, consider this recommended practice: “After you have gained some proficiency in centering down, add a five- to ten-minute meditation on some aspect of the creation. Choose something in the created order: tree, plant, bird, leaf, cloud, and each day ponder it carefully and prayerfully” (Foster 25). This after he had just taught breathing exercises (a means of “centering down”). Then he makes a startling claim: “We should not bypass this means of God’s grace” (Foster: 25). And there we have it: meditating of a leaf can be a means of grace!
Foster’s journey inward is to discover a spirit world that is available for any who search for it: “How then do we come to believe in a world of the spirit? Is it by blind faith? Not at all. The inner reality of the spiritual world is available to all who are willing to search for it” (Foster: 18). He claims that this spiritual search is analogous to scientific experimentation. Never mind that every pagan culture that has existed has believed in the “spiritual world.”
Spirituality of the Imagination
The Bible does not have anything good so say about the imagination. For example: “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; They speak a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the Lord'” (Jeremiah 23:16). A search of the KJV for “imagination” yields 14 verses, and in each case it is a bad thing. According to the Bible, the imagination is where people go when they do not want to listen to God.
However, for Foster the imagination is central: “The inner world of meditation is most easily entered through the door of the imagination. We fail today to appreciate its tremendous power. The imagination is stronger than conceptual thought and stronger than the will” (Foster: 22). Some of the authorities he cites on this point are C. G. Jung, Ignatius of Loyola, and Morton Kelsey. Jung is famous for his concept of the collective unconscious, and Kelsey was an Episcopal priest committed to Jungian principles. Kelsey wrote many books promoting mysticism. The advice Foster gleans from these teachers is that we must learn to think in images and take our dreams to be a possible doorway into the spirit world. Foster claims that dreams are something we already have and can help us develop the use of the imagination. He says, “Keeping a journal of our dreams is a way of taking them seriously” (Foster: 23).
There is, Foster warns, a danger to this process: “At the same time [that we ask for dreams to be God speaking to us], it is wise to pray a prayer of protection, since to open ourselves to spiritual influence can be dangerous as well as profitable” (Foster: 23). I would say that is asking God to protect us as we use various techniques to go where He does not want us to go (into the world of the spirits to gain information). The danger he warns of is far greater than Foster imagines. Those who take the journey inward will be deceived—every time! We are not equipped to gain spiritual information from that realm. That is why God speaks to us through His ordained mediators (the inspired Biblical writers); otherwise we would be fishing in the dark in a medium we are not suited for.
Foster teaches his readers to use their imaginations to experience Biblical stories with the five physical senses. Here is what he claims will happen:
As you enter the story, not as a passive observer but as an active participant, remember that since Jesus lives in the Eternal Now and is not bound by time, this event in the past is a living present-tense experience for Him. Hence, you can actually encounter the living Christ in the event, be addressed by His voice and be touched by His healing power. It can be more than an exercise of the imagination; it can be a genuine confrontation. Jesus Christ will actually come to you. (Foster: 26)
Showing that Foster’s ideas are still influential in our day, Greg Boyd cites some of Foster’s words here to support what he calls “cataphatic prayer” which uses the imagination and images as a means to contact God and gain spiritual information.5 Those who endorse this practice assume they are not being deceived by spirits, but I cannot see on what grounds.
Foster prescribes a practice using one’s imagination that mimics astral projection to the degree that he actually includes a footnote disclaimer stating that it is not astral projection (Foster 28). It begins by telling his readers to imagine themselves going out into nature into a beautiful place (Boyd describes how he practices this, as well as its results6). After enjoying the sights and smells (in your imagination) these are the next steps:
In your imagination allow your spiritual body, shining with light, to rise out of your physical body. Look back so that you can see yourself lying in the grass and reassure your body that you will return momentarily. Imagine your spiritual self, alive and vibrant, rising up through the clouds and into the stratosphere. . . Go deeper and deeper into outer space until there is nothing except the warm presence of the eternal Creator. Rest in His presence. Listen quietly, anticipating the unanticipated. Note carefully any instruction given. With time and experience you will be able to distinguish readily between mere human thought that may bubble up to the conscious mind and the True Spirit which inwardly moves upon the heart. (Foster: 27, 28)
I must ask how one knows whether “True Spirit” is not a deceiving one? Mysticism’s fatal flaw is that it naively assumes that Christians having subjective religious experiences must therefore be having Christian experiences that are truly from God—even if the experiences were provoked through unbiblical practices similar to those used by pagans.
Mental Alchemy
Foster’s approach to prayer is laced with mysticism as well. He claims that prayer needs to be learned from people who have the right experiences and are “masters” who know what they are doing. Foster does not teach ordinary prayer, whereby we bring our needs and requests to the Lord and know that He hears us (because He promised that He does). Here is why he thinks such prayer fails:
Often people will pray and pray with all the faith in the world, but nothing happens. Naturally, they were not contacting the channel. We begin praying for others by first centering down and listening to the quiet thunder of the Lord of hosts. Attuning ourselves to divine breathings is spiritual work, but without it our praying is vain repetition (Mt. 6:7). Listening to the Lord is the first thing, the second thing, and the third thing necessary for successful intercession. (Foster: 34)
Of course this means we have to become mystics if we want to pray.
He teaches that we first must hear personal revelations from God, using meditation techniques such as he teaches, before we pray. He says: “The beginning point, then, in learning to pray for others is to listen for guidance . . . This inner “yes” is the divine authorization for you to pray for the person or situation” (Foster: 35). No! Foster is wrong! The only authorization we need to pray is the Biblical command to pray—not personal revelations.
For Foster, meditation (mystical style) is necessary but not sufficient. He also brings the imagination into the process: “As with meditation, the imagination is a powerful tool in the work of prayer” (Foster: 36). He credits Agnes Sanford7 for helping him see the value of using the imagination in praying. Foster writes, “Imagination opens the door to faith. If we can ‘see’ in our mind’s eye a shattered marriage whole or a sick person well, it is only a short step to believing it will be so” (Foster: 36). Sanford got her ideas from Theosophy, New Thought, Jung, and Emmet Fox. These ideas, echoed by Foster, come from the unbiblical “mind over matter” thinking of that era. That kind of thinking uses creative visualization to change reality or channel spiritual power. Foster suggests, “Imagine the light of Christ flowing through your hands and healing every emotional trauma and hurt feeling your child experienced that day” (Foster: 39).
In his 1985 book, The Seduction of Christianity, Dave Hunt labeled creative visualization such as what Foster promotes, “mental alchemy.”8 Hunt warned the church that Foster promoted such mental alchemy in Celebration of Discipline, and as we have shown, he, in fact, does. So how is it that 24 years after Hunt’s warning Foster is more popular than ever with Evangelicals? The answer is end times deception. Now, a huge movement that claims to be a reformation promoting Foster, Willard and their versions of mysticism does exist (i.e., The Emergent Church). Things have gotten so very much worse.
Spiritual Directors
Once mysticism and the supposed need to gain personal revelations from God are embraced, there arises a need for new “masters” who are better at navigating the spirit world. Pagan societies have always had such persons. They are called “shamans.” Eastern religion calls them “gurus.” Deceived Christians call them “spiritual directors.” Foster explains, “In the Middle Ages not even the greatest saints attempted the depths of the inward journey without the help of a spiritual director” (Foster: 159). The problem, according to Foster, is that the churches (in 1978) lacked “living masters”:
No doubt part of the surge of interest in Eastern meditation is because the churches have abrogated the field. How depressing for a university student, seeking to know the Christian teaching on meditation, to discover that there are so few living masters of contemplative prayer and that nearly all of the serious writings on the subject are seven or more centuries old. No wonder he or she turns to Zen, Yoga, or TM. (Foster: 14)
Foster’s dream has come true. Today people can even practice Yoga in a Christian church. We have Christian TM; it is called contemplative prayer. Yes, Eastern religion has come right into the church, and Foster has helped usher it in.
But what about “living masters” or spiritual directors? In 1972 Morton Kelsey lamented their lack: “Indeed I would suggest that everyone who is serious about relating to the spiritual realm find himself a spiritual director, if there were more men trained and experienced in this way.”9 That “problem” has been solved in a huge way. Evangelical theology schools are now offering masters degrees in “spiritual formation” in order to equip people to be “spiritual directors.” Here is what Biola University says about its program: “This degree is designed to equip men and women for the ministry of spiritual direction, discipleship, formation and soul care in the local church and for further academic training in spiritual formation.”10 Spiritual Directors International will help you find a spiritual director regardless of your religion.11 Richard Foster’s own Renovare, which purports to “encourage renewal in the Christian church,” has a list of spiritual direction programs.12
Foster explains the purpose of the spiritual director: “He is the means of God to open the path to the inward teaching of the Holy Spirit” (Foster: 160). Apparently, in a full-blown rejection of sola scriptura where the Holy Spirit’s teaching is mediated to the church through the Biblical writers only, we need mediators for personal revelations beyond scripture.
Foster explains how spiritual directors lead: “He leads only by the force of his own personal holiness” (Foster: 160). In Roman Catholicism the Pope is called “his holiness” and in Tibetan Buddhism the Dalai Lama is called “his holiness” but now evangelicals are developing a class of people who evidently deserve the title. How exactly are we to judge when someone has gained “personal holiness” sufficient to be a spiritual director and mediate spirituality to others? Foster says, “Though the director has obviously advanced further into the inner depths, the two [master and disciple] are together learning and growing in the realm of the Spirit” (Foster: 160). Foster cites Roman Catholic mystic Thomas Merton about how this works: “The spiritual director was something of a ‘spiritual father who begot the perfect life in the soul of his disciple by his instructions first of all, but also by his prayer, his sanctity and his example. He was . . . a kind of ‘sacrament’ of the Lord’s presence in the ecclesiastical community” (Foster: 161).
End Times Delusion
When it comes to end times deception, Foster is on the cutting edge of embracing it. Consider what he wrote: “In our day heaven and earth are on tiptoe waiting for the emerging of a Spirit-led, Spirit-intoxicated, Spirit-empowered people. . . . Individuals can be found here and there whose hearts burn with divine fire” (Foster: 150). Such inclinations have led to massive deception. They smack of the Latter Rain deception, now embodied in such false teachers as Rick Joyner and Mike Bickle. They are elitist. They are in line with the beliefs of the Emergent Church as well. He also says: “Our century has yet to see the breaking forth of the apostolic church of the Spirit” (Foster: 150). Now we have the New Apostolic Reformation claiming to be just that. Foster’s ideas now embody the massive apostasy and end times deception that characterize our age.
Foster’s teachings have taken the church as far away from the Reformation principle of sola scriptura as the Roman Catholic Church ever was. The only thing left is for them to bring us all the way back to Rome. Christianity Today praises Foster for pointing us in that direction.
In early 2008 I wrote a CIC article about how abandoning the principle of sola scriptura would lead evangelicals back to Rome.13 It was partly a response to the CT article praising mysticism. The response I received was rather unexpected. I was contacted by former evangelicals who had rejected sola scriptura and had gone back to Rome! They wanted to debate me about sola scriptura. Sadly, my point was proven. As a response to their misguided challenge our church hosted a seminar on sola scriptura, called Faith at Risk 4.14 In the seminar Gary Gilley and I defended the scriptures as the sole authority for the church.
The aforementioned CT article discusses a new monasticism, former evangelical leaders converting to Roman Catholicism, and mystical practices like lectio divina—and they call all of it a good and hopeful thing. Chris Armstrong, the author of the article, concluded, “That they [evangelicals] are receiving good guidance on this road from wise teachers [Foster and Willard] is reason to believe that Christ is guiding the process. And that they are meeting and learning from fellow Christians in the other two great confessions, Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodox, is reason to rejoice in the power of love.”15
Who is left to defend the principles of the Reformation? One would think Reformed theologians are, but they aren’t doing their job. In the last CIC article we mentioned Reformed theologian Donald Whitney who wrote: “Richard Foster’s Celebration of Discipline has been the most popular book on the subject of the Spiritual Disciplines in the last half of the twentieth century. The great contribution of this work is the reminder that the Spiritual Disciplines, which many see as restrictive and binding, are actually means to spiritual freedom.”16 That from a teacher in a Reformed seminary?
If a book that teaches Christian TM, Christian astral projection and mental alchemy by means of the imagination is a “great contribution,” then something is seriously wrong here. The delusion is so widespread that I see no other explanation for it than the end time deception predicted by Paul: “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,” (1Timothy 4:1). Another passage warns: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths” (2Timothy 4:3, 4).
That time now is here. We are accountable to God for what we believe and practice. Those who wish to persevere in the faith in this age of delusion must base their beliefs and practices only on the truths found in Scripture. Foster’s journey into the world of the spirits will deceive all who enter it.

GOD’S GRACE “IN THIS PRESENT WORLD” TITUS 2:12 [podcast]
Excerpt from the book Lie of the Ages
LOTS OF FRAUDS WHO CLAIM TO BE SAVED BY GRACE YET DEFEND INSTEAD OF ADMITTING, REPENTING, CALLING OUT AND CONFESSING SIN. “Grace” that isn’t leading you to live godly in this present world, denying ungodliness instead of living in it, is NOT saving grace. You are lost if this is the phony “grace” you have.
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” Titus 2:11-12
YES God’s grace in Christ is certainly amazing and yet, the evangelical, calvinistic worlds have grossly emphasized and perpetrate a perverted view of God’s grace…. Fulfilling the prophecy of Jude 3-4. God says these are “ungodly men” who we are to “earnestly contend” against! (Jude 3-4)
It’s only the sin-justifying, grace-perverting frauds who hate personal accountability and obedience as the manifestation, the fruit of true worship and love for God (Titus 2:11-12; Jude 4).
IF you love God, truly, you will obey Him. Those who do not obey Christ, don’t love Him (John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6, etc.).
Hell is full of people who got saved, then made excuses for their Christ-denying cross-less life on earth (Matthew 7:21; Titus 1:16).
This is how true grace manifests IF someone is saved by it….. otherwise they have either never been saved or have since fallen away from saving grace (Luke 8:13; Galatians 5:4; 2 Peter 2:20-22, etc.).
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.” 2 Peter 2:20-21
Dear OSAS fairytale believer: Grace is given to overcome sin and not to justify it.
This “so great salvation” (Heb. 2:3) that “hath appeared to all men” was wrought for us by the grace and life blood of the Son of God (Lev. 17:11; Rom. 3:23-26). We were down and out “having no hope” and “when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” (Rom. 5:6; Eph. 2:12) We were “without strength!” – In other words we had no ability in and of ourselves to get back to the one true God we were separated from due to our own sin (Isa. 59:1-2; Rom. 5:12). Yet, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8) He saved us to be made progressively more free and to please and serve Him with joy in the Holy Ghost. He is our Salvation and enabler in all things. We truly CAN do “all things through Christ which strengtheneth” us! (Phil. 4:13)
Whenever God commands something, He also provides the grace for it to manifest in your life – as you are submitted and therefore obedient to Him (James 4:6-10; 1 Peter 4:10-11). His grace, divine enablement, operational power, is always sufficient to bring His perfect will to pass in our lives and to bring us through any and all difficulties, grueling seasons we may find ourselves in! (2 Corinthians 9:8; 12:9-10; 1 Peter 5:10)
No gift could possibly be so “great.” See Hebrews 2:3. It is to Jesus Christ the LORD of all lords that we as vile and depraved sinners, owe all thanksgiving and have the immeasurable, grand and blessed privilege to worship. There is no fathoming the magnitude of the blessing, of the grace and mercy of our God poured out to us through “the blood of his cross.” (Rom. 11:33; 1 Cor. 2:9; Col. 1:20; Tit. 3:5-6) His grace truly is amazing and yet He is holy and righteous and will not permit sin into His presence.
“By him (Christ) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15
Seems to me that in “grace” circles grace itself is deified instead of the One who alone granted that grace?
“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17
My identity, my salvation is first and foremost in CHRIST JESUS Himself and not in the grace He brought and provided via His death on the cross! First things first! Keeping the main thing the main thing! (1 Corinthians 2:2; Galatians 2:20; 6:14; Hebrews 2:9)
The apostle Paul, the divinely inspired grace teacher, stated here in our theme verse (please re-read Titus 2:11-12 above) that when God’s grace is genuinely at work in a person, that person is being taught and learning certain things. Let’s go to the divine source, God’s Word, to discover what these things are:
According to Titus 2:11-12, just what does God’s grace teach one who possesses it?
- To “deny ungodliness…in this present world”
- To “deny…worldly lusts…in this present world”
- To “live soberly…in this present world”
- To “live…righteously…in this present world”
- To live “godly, in this present world”
If a person claims to be saved (secure for Heaven) and yet is not “denying ungodliness” and “worldly lusts…living soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world,” he is simply deluded. See also Matthew 7:21; Titus 1:16; James 1:22; 4:4 and 1 John 2:3-6.
If you don’t mind, I am nominating Titus 2:11-12 as that place in Scripture believers think of when they think of the grace of God. Do you think that saints and/or those who claim to be saints might take on a whole new level of responsibility if such were the case?
The person who currently possesses and is living in the grace of God can be assured of eternal life (Heb. 12:14). One can know or verify whether or not he truly possesses the grace of God by reading closely this enlightening theme passage of Titus 2:11-12. The authentically saved person is presently abiding in Christ’s grace – “Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts” and living “soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (life).”
If these things are not manifesting in our lives, be sure that we are not presently living in the grace of God and should immediately repent before the LORD (James 4:6). In verse 11 of Titus 2, the Word states that it is “the grace of God that bringeth salvation.” And then Holy Writ reveals how those who truly and currently possess this essential grace live their lives – “in this present world.”
“‘For whom ye yield yourselves, servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey.’ (Rom. 6:16) If we are compelled, therefore, to yield ourselves servants to sin, and be subject to Satan’s power, insomuch that we cannot help but obey him, and really have no choice in the matter, then our free agency, our volition, is destroyed; and to make matters worse, the devil has more power than God. Satan can make us disobey God, but alas, God cannot make us disobey Satan. The devil compels us to be sinners, but God cannot compel us to be righteous. What kind of doctrine is this?” –Howard W. Sweeten
In America, the vast majority of those who are called evangelicals do not even realize that this Titus 2 text exists. The masses have never had this text pointed out to them and expounded upon by their leaders. What is it these leaders are afraid their audiences will discover if they unveil this text? Some leaders just simply do not teach the Word (2 Tim. 4:2-4). This alone makes them false. For the Calvinistic leader I must ask: What are they hiding? What are they afraid people might find out? Why are other Bible passages on grace spotlighted and not Titus 2? Why is this Bible passage purposely neglected and avoided? What are our leaders afraid will be revealed to the people they communicate to? Do these leaders fear that the divine truth revealed in Titus 2 will contradict what they are teaching? Do they fear offending people by communicating what the evidences (fruit) of true grace and salvation are?
Unrepentant rebels who claim to be saved lack the discernment and ability to rightly divide the word of God because they refuse to turn their hearts over to the LORD – 2 Corinthians 3:14-16; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12. OSAS dupes reject the mountains of Scripture that teach a conditional eternal security because they simply do not want to repent and lay down their lives in this sinful world.
Speaking of “A Foreign Grace,” David Servant, in his book The Great Gospel Deception, says:
“It is not only the fruit of people’s deeds that mark them as false teachers, but also the fruit of their words. If they teach what is contrary to essential New Testament doctrine, they are false teachers.
Of course, no teacher in the church is going to stand up and declare that he is teaching what is contrary to the New Testament. Rather, he will neglect certain important scriptures and twist others to persuade his constituency that he is teaching the truth. This is being done today by many very popular and influential teachers who teach about a grace that is foreign to the Bible. The grace they proclaim is not the true grace that leads to holiness…
How is it possible that people who denied the only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ, could have ‘crept in unnoticed’? The answer is that they were not standing in front of congregations declaring, ‘I deny Jesus Christ.’ Rather, they were denying Jesus Christ through their false teaching about grace, turning it into licentiousness.
Their message could be summarized as follows: ‘Isn’t God’s grace wonderful? Because our salvation stems from His grace and not from our meritorious works, holiness is not essential for salvation. Because of God’s wonderful grace, all who believe in Jesus are saved, even if they continue practicing sin.’” p. 230, 231
As David Servant points out, the false teacher is not going to stand up and announce that he is a wolf. It is the individual believer’s responsibility to discern leaders by the fruit of their teaching. What is not taught (left out of the message) can be more deadly than what is taught. What we don’t know can kill us. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hos. 4:6) To be able to discern one must study the Word diligently and be exercised therein (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16; Heb. 5:11-14). This gross lack of knowledge among some who claim to know the LORD is also an indication that many have not diligently studied the Word of God for themselves, but rather have relied upon their leaders to tell them what God has said. Consequently, so very many have been deluded with a false gospel.
Saints of the LORD, let us allow Jesus Christ to become important enough to our hearts to learn for ourselves what He has stated to us in His Word. Is the LORD truly your first love? Are you actively and fervently memorizing Scripture – His very words? Let me encourage you to do so from the Authorized Version (KJV). See Proverbs 4:4 and Psalms 119. Index cards are a great way to do such.
“In This Present World” – Holiness Now Or Then?
If we do not possess His grace “in this present world,” evidenced by our denial of ungodliness and holy living here and now, then how can we deceive ourselves into thinking we are truly His? If not now, the then (eternity) is surely eternal damnation. According to God’s Word, without holiness, no person will be with Jesus Christ in eternity (Matt. 5:8; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 21:8, 27). Think with me for a moment of how many people who are at this very instant, residents of the domain of the damned – hell. What is their unalterable and horrible future? These eternal souls will shortly be cast into the lake or ocean of fire (Rev. 20:11-15). Why? These people were given the choice and willfully and deliberately chose in their brief earthly life to make something else more important than the LORD and doing His will (Exod. 20:3; Matt. 7:21; Eph. 5:3-6; 1 Jn. 5:21). Pretty simple, yet the consequence is forever fixed – They have reached the point of no return. Hell’s eternal occupants who have gone before us to damnation will, after a million years of excruciating and conscious torment, have not one less second to spend there.
Is it worth it? Is living apart from life-giving fellowship with Jesus in this short life worth eternity in torment? Is justifying instead of crucifying the sins of the body worth spending eternity in the prison of fire? Jesus told us we must abruptly cut off the hand and pluck out the eye that causes us to offend the one true and holy God with our sin, that we might be in Heaven (Mk. 9:42-50). Ready or not – Jesus is Coming!
The Fruit of True Grace: Grace that is not taught with responsibility and the fear of the LORD is not Biblical grace at all. Be not deceived! (Tit. 2:11-14) According to Titus 2:11-12, true grace produces a specific fruit. God’s grace is active. When it truly abides in a person, it has specific earmarks of its possession while “grace” without this fruit is shown to be no saving grace at all. This is a sham that so many today have been taught. It is the bill of goods that is being sold from pulpits across America every week.
Comprehensive grace includes the fear of God which alters the lifestyle and causes the recipient to live a holy life. The adherent is led into intimate fellowship with Christ and from living in habitual sin that would disqualify him from the prize of eternal life. The good news is that there is the precious blood of the Savior available at the “throne of grace” to grant us all a fresh start! This believer, who is less than the least of all saints, has had enormous reason to rejoice in that he has fallen short so many times, only to be drawn back in by the LORD to receive mercy and grace afresh! This priceless grace, purchased with the blood of Christ, is available at all times to those who are born again. We therefore have no excuse to have any sin remaining on our account (Heb. 4:14-16; 1 Jn. 1:7, 9). We are blessed to have EVERY sin washed away in His holy blood as we simply go before His precious throne of grace and cry out in repentance and receive His priceless mercy which we do not deserve yet was merited by Christ’s blood. This truth makes me want to shout for joy!
What a rich blessing it is that God’s grace empowers the believer to fulfill what its Author demands. Through the apostle Paul the Holy Ghost tells us that “sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” (Rom. 6:14)
PRAYER: LORD Jesus thank You for Your saving grace which enables me to experience relationship with You and live completely pleasing in Your holy sight in all things. Right this moment I denounce all dissimulation and self-deception, lies, and excuses. LORD I beg You to make my heart pure LORD Jesus! Thank You that sin shall not have dominion over my life as I obey You in the daily crucified life, as I remain in fellowship with You, forsaking all thoughts and deeds that offend You. Your grace is sufficient to bring about Your perfect will which is holiness. In the name of Jesus, amen.
No honest Bible student reads the whole of Scripture and comes out with the idea that he’s OSAS. No, such a doctrine is taught by men who lure in their un-repentant prey with ear-tickling promises. “For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.” (2 Peter 2:18) Instead of preaching the original Gospel message by calling their audiences to repentance and live a holy, cross-bearing life, they assure them in their sins, just like the false prophets Jeremiah cited (Jeremiah 23:17). This is exactly why those wolves who teach this lie of the ages have such lucrative “church” businesses. They’ve gotten rich peddling Satan’s first lie and are fulfilling prophecy as they lead many to damnation (Genesis 2:17; 3:4).
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
The OSAS believer is vested in his own flesh which he serves instead of Christ and so he doesn’t care how many Scriptures contradict the lie he loves – because he refuses to truly repent and bring forth fruit consistent with that authentic repentance. Instead of overcoming all sin he wallows in it, justifying that which God condemns because he’s self-deceived with this antinomian (lawless) lie.

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; 14 knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. 15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
Chapter 2
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Chapter 3
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
