The Missing R of the Modern Church

ARE we preaching repentance? Jesus commanded: “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47) Life with Christ begins at the moment of true repentance which is a laying down of one’s life. The best life now theology used by so many beguilers never mentions sin much less the necessity to repent and is feeding the self-life, the self-idolatry and self-worship of many who vainly believe they are Christ’s. After a nice nutritious dinner, dessert is a blessing and yet, not before there’s the meat and potatoes. The same is true with our spiritual diet. Favor, prosperity, coping, and getting God to give you more stuff are not foundational biblical doctrines. Let me ask you if you know the six principal doctrines of Christ? Could you recite them? Do you know where they are listed? This is the perfection or maturity Paul tells us to go on to (Hebrews 6:1-2).

Is the modern church and its foolish, Scripture-despising, Christ-denying programs coddling and perpetuating the gullible in their sins? Where’s the real deliverance? Where is Jesus? Where’s the truly setting free of bound souls by the power of Jesus Christ we see throughout the Gospels and in the book of Acts?

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19

Genuine repentance is when God’s richest spiritual blessings begin to flow into our lives. We must do things His way and never seek to circumvent His process (Psalms 119:105; Jeremiah 1:10; Luke 9:23-24, etc.).

BUZZ WORD ALERT: “God is positioning you!” is the cry of many false prophets who paint an un-biblical picture as they misuse Scripture, taking it out of context – to exploit and give false hope to their prey for their own self-serving purposes (Philippians 3:18-19; 2 Peter 2:1-3). But what is biblical positioning? What is the biblical position on positioning? Did Jesus die on that cross to position you to be rich in this world or the next? (Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 12, 16, etc.) Notice that modern wolves who use this “positioning” buzz word to trick the ungrounded NEVER use this verse below which is paramount to our POSITION with God:

“And hath raised us up together, and made us SIT TOGETHER (our position in Christ!) in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:6

Because Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of His Father in Heaven, means that we His beloved blood-bought people are in Him and also positionally seated with Him in glory!

“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1:20

Your position IN CHRIST is the position that anchors your soul in heavenly places IN CHRIST!

Beware of the Buzz Words of the Modern Church World … You see, in the modern church world pop psychology is the order of the day, not God’s Word … They have changed the original Gospel and are preaching “another gospel.” (Galatians 1:6-9). Relevance, restoration, renewal, recovery … There’s the emphasis on the weakness and sin of Christians without the slightest mention of the total victory Christ died to purchase for us if we will do things His way – by way of that cross He commanded us to take up. The cross is nowhere to be heard in this false theology which is “another gospel.”

The buzz words “relevance” and “relevant” are used due to their refusal to “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17) This is a command and a condition. Did you catch them both?

It seems apparent that the seeker-friendly, emergent church leaders and adherents desire to be like the world – to not come out of it but to conform to it.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

Coddle Talk, Coddle Sessions

The false teachings heard in the modern church world are perpetuating people in their sins.

“Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.” Lamentations 2:14

In the modern church world, there’s no mention of deliverance or the power of Jesus Christ for the believer to “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16) This all comes with true repentance (Acts 3:19, etc.).

Why such lame theology? Why the false gospel? Why the deliberate ignoring of Christ’s power we see so often demonstrated in His life in the Gospels and in the early church in Acts? Well, they rarely speak of sin much less repenting from it. Repentance is the essential missing R – the missing cardinal doctrine. Any church, ministry, or leader who does not often speak of sin, repentance and overcoming power through Jesus Christ the LORD, is a false church/ministry/leader.

By the way the modern church wolves speak, you’d think that God has lost all His power and no longer saves and delivers people from the bondage of sin.

In the divine economy, as is made more than certain and clear in God’s Word, the saint of Christ, by the power of the life of Christ, is to dominate sin. We “are MORE than conquerors” through Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37). Sin cannot have dominion over the presently abiding disciple of Jesus – that would be an utter impossibility (Romans 6:14; John 15:1-6, etc.).

Oh yeah, they sit around and confess their sins in detail. They cry on each other’s shoulders and whine and become transparent but there’s no power or preaching of the sin-conquering grace of Jesus Christ. So, no one ever truly gets delivered. Why? – Because they are not continuing in the truth of God – the Word of God.

“As he spake these words, many believed on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:30-32

The above promise of Jesus was spoken by Him to those who had already “believed on him.” His freedom is conditional. It’s reserved exclusively for those who “continue” with Him by obeying His Word.

Jesus’ power is sure, steadfast, decisive, and absolute.

—– SEEKER-FRIENDLY, Emergent church wolves are trapped within a lame community of moral cowards who are enterprisingly building their church businesses by half-stepping and tiptoeing as they carefully maneuver around certain biblical truths and purposely ignore others. Moral pansies? You decide. They try to be “relevant” with the young crowd they prey upon. They attempt to come off as cool with their nifty little sayings and pretend to care for their audiences. Yet …. “Having a (mere) form of godliness but denying the power (authority) thereof …. Ever learning yet never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Tim. 3:7) They question non-negotiable Bible truths, talk about a “journey” that they never truly make progress on, use the words “relevant,” “explore” and other buzz words like this in order to draw in more followers while refusing to just come straight out with the divine truth which always begins with the command to “repent.” (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; Lk. 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 21:20, etc.). Far too much emphasis is placed on how sinful we are with little mention, much less Bible teaching on the overcoming grace of God given us through Christ to grant complete victory – IF we do things His way (Titus 2:11-12; Rom. 6:14; John 12:24-25; Lk. 9:23-24, etc.). The return of Christ is rarely if ever mentioned. What about the holiness of God and how He commanded “Be ye holy for I am holy”? (1 Peter 1:15-16) Nothing is taught about fearing God which we are commanded to do repeatedly in Scripture. Please share this to help others.

These wolves prey upon the weakened, docile, morally gutless who simply want to use God to coddle them in their sin. Yet, there are many among these deceived masses who would repent if they were directly confronted with their sin and the command to repent. These are things that will never happen in the theater houses they frequent to be entertained on Sunday mornings.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 1:3

The quickest and surest way to get blessed is to simply read God’s Word. This is so simple that most miss it.

Bible reading is the key to learning the things of God (Prov. 22:17-22).
Bible Study is paramount to spiritual growth (1 Pet. 2:2).
Reading God’s Word etches the image of Christ upon the canvass of the heart (Lk 24:27; Jn 5:39, 46).

Bible study excites and energizes prayer (John 15:7).
Bible reading causes a spiritual fire inside the heart of the believer (Jer. 20:9).
Bible reading increases faith (Rom. 10:17).
Reading the Bible stirs evangelism (Rom. 10:13-17).
Bible reading makes one sure of His salvation and more confident in the LORD (Jn 20:31; 1 Jn 5:11-13).
Bible reading comforts the heart in times of trouble (Ps 119:50,76,171).
Bible learning imparts wisdom to the believer (Ps 19:7).
Studying God’s Word builds up the disciple in the faith of Christ (Acts 20:32).
Bible reading sanctifies the Christian (Jn 15:3; 17:17; Eph. 5:26).
Bible study reveals Christ to the heart of the believing reader (John 5:39).
“Wondrous things” are beheld by those who ingest, read God’s Words (Psalms 119:18).

God blesses those who read His Word

“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and READ.” Isaiah 34:16

YES God’s people are to “study” His Word and how else to do such than to begin by “READING” His words? 2 Tim 2:15

“Till I come, give attendance to READING, to exhortation, to doctrine.” 1 Timothy 4:13

“Bless is he that READETH ….” Revelation 1:3

Years ago I found that if I don’t get up early to read God’s Word and spend quality moments in prayer first and foremost, it will never happen. God must be put first and this requires ruthless discipline.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Reading all of God’s Word is the priority of ever astute follower of Jesus.

There’s no way to learn God’s Word other than reading it yourself (2 Timothy 2:15) God gave you His Word in tangible format in order for you to learn of Him from Him and by Him. Those who leave it to others to teach them God’s Word are self-deceived and will be misled by those they depend on to teach them the Bible.

AI TECHNOLOGY IS WHAT!?

The Bible doesn’t mention AI by name, but its warnings about deception, control, and false images in the last days speak directly to the dangers technology could bring.

Look at Revelation 13:14-15 (KJB):

“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles… saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast… And he had power to give life unto the IMAGE of the beast, that the IMAGE of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the IMAGE of the beast should be killed.”

In the original Greek, “IMAGE” (eikon) means a likeness, simulation, or even an artificial representation. The text says this image is given “breath” (pneuma) so it can speak. Today, that sounds like AI—an artificial system that can “speak” and even influence or control people, becoming something people look to for answers or even authority.

REFUTE THIS PLEASE!

Jesus warned in Matthew 24:24 (KJV):

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall DECEIVE the very elect.”

The Greek for “deceive” (planao) means to lead astray or seduce—exactly what can happen if the masses start trusting an AI system that doesn’t actually know truth, only what’s common or popular.

Almost sounds like cultish celebrity followings, right?

Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1, 7 (KJB):

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come… Ever learning, and NEVER ABLE to COME to the KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH.”

This describes our world—where knowledge explodes, but discernment and real truth get lost. AI can gather endless information but cannot provide spiritual wisdom, EVEN THOUGH, people will flock to it to get it!

Daniel prophesied in Daniel 12:4 (KJB):

“…Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

The Hebrew word for “knowledge” (da‘ath) means skill and discernment, but today we see more INFORMATION than ever—without the FOUNDATION of truth.

All of these passages warn us: the last days will be MARKED by artificial IMAGES, persuasive DECEPTION, and overwhelming INFORMATION without wisdom.

AI fits right into this picture—a tool that could be used by the “beast system” to control, deceive, and subtly SHIFT doctrine AWAY FROM the truth.

AGAIN—It’s a reminder to walk in the Spirit and test everything by God’s unchanging Word, not by artificial intelligence.

God’s wisdom is that you have to get rid of the “SCORNER” in order to get rid of the “STRIFE”.

How do we know when someone has truly repented?

“… to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” Acts 26:20

When someone has truly repented, their changed life will be full of the fruit of the Spirit.

“Bring forth fruits meet for repentance” simply means prove you’ve repented with the corresponding restitution of making things right (Matthew 3:7-10; Luke 19:8-9, etc.).

Luke 17

1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Jesus saw the heart and proof of Zacchaeus’ repentance and granted him salvation.
