Seeing Trump Through the Eyes of Scripture
If our prayers for our nation/city/state didn’t matter, Jeremiah 29:7 and 1 Timothy 2:1-3 would not be in God’s Word. It’s not our place to prognosticate when WE think Jesus will come and how end time events will play out. Let’s leave that to God and simply do what He said.
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs 29:2
FOLKS, Jesus is coming. For now, we have been granted a short window to serve our LORD in this country …. Trump was a miracle, an answer by God to the prayers and actions of His people, and an ousting of a completely diabolical, satanic, cold-blooded child murdering regime……. We would do well to stop and give Jesus praise….. There’s no hint here that any man or men are our saviors …. get a grip and rightly divide friends. God is good and “EVERY good gift” if straight from Him (James 1:17). Feel free to share this post.
Saints, Donald Trump is a SECULAR ruler, not an officer/elder of the body of Christ. So, those qualifications do not apply (1 Timothy 3). That’s the biblical perspective and will help us assimilate things through the eyes of the King of the kingdom of God. Please share and please pray for those in authority saints (1 Tim. 2:1-3). It’s SATAN who wants us out of involvement in government and other aspects of this world. Yes, “come out from among them” AND speak the light of truth into that darkness! “Come out from among them” in 2 Corinthians 6 is speaking of the way we live – we no longer live as the sinful world but we do shine the light of Christ into that darkness! If we don’t no one will! Jesus says that due to Him being in us – we are “the light of the world” and the “salt of the earth.” (Matthew 5:13-16). Preach saints.
The work of Christ’s kingdom is primary and yet the Word exhorts us to participate in order to see His will (Jeremiah 29:7; 1 Timothy 2:1-3, etc.).
Perhaps we should shut up and pray, just as God’s Word instructs us specifically to do “for all that are in authority.”
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;” 1 Timothy 2:1-3
No, this is not a plea to “make this world a better place to live.” This is not a call to establish God’s kingdom in it’s fulness over the earth without Jesus here. He’s coming soon, we’re living and looking for His soon return, and so if we are going to win souls, it must be now! There will be no lost souls in Heaven to win to Jesus! Selah.
