KINGDOM PERSPECTIVE: "WORRY if no one is attacking/persecuting you!" ~JESUS (Luke 6:26) OUR obedience and goal is the preach Christ and His Gospel. Attacks will follow! In such, we "rejoice." (Matthew 5:10-12) JESUS isn't begging anyone to know Him and go to Heaven! Eternal hell awaits all who refuse to repent and receive Him.... and He instructed us to have the same perspective: "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." (Matthew 10:14) THOSE who are full of self get all shook up when conflict arises and react in the flesh to ease and escape the attacks! Isn't that what Peter did when he sought to prevent Jesus from going to the cross? Jesus responded with "Get thee behind me Satan." (Matthew 16:21-23) The Bible promises that until we are in Heaven, there will be a war and that God uses these conflicts to perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle His children! (1 Peter 5:10) If someone is rejecting you for Christ's presence and Word in your life, Jesus says to "Rejoice"! (Matthew 5:10-12) IF someone's not lying about you - you aren't making much of an impact on the accuser's (Satan's) kingdom (Matthew 24:10; Luke 6:26; 2 Timothy 3:12; Revelation 12:10). EVERYONE's not going to like you. In fact, if we truly follow Christ, He promised we'd be "hated of all men for my name's sake." (Matthew 10:22) We can rejoice at the Persecution of the Righteous (Matthew 5:10-12). Someone has wisely stated "Go where you're celebrated and not where you're tolerated." BELOVED, you cannot stop doing God's will BECAUSE SOMEONE LIED ABOUT YOU! (1 Corinthians 9:16) You are accountable and will give full account to the LORD and must love Him more than your own life and this world! This is all going to be over soon and the lies and frauds will be vanquished for ever! We must all endure our own Alexander the coppersmiths (2 Timothy 4:14-18). Serve the LORD precious saint of Christ with holy fear! (Psalms 2:11-12) Please select just 1 post in this rich category! Persecution is part and parcel with truly serving Christ! If you are not being persecuted for knowing and serving Jesus, it's time to repent and get right with God before it's too late. There are those who regrettably are quick to cast judgment on the disciples of Christ who are diligently about the Father's business and therefore at times suffer severe persecution (2 Timothy 1:8).
