Perspective

“Endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:3

Can we not observe that everyone doesn’t love us? Some don’t even like us, right? Some love and like us. We’d better examine ourselves if no one hates us and everyone like us (2 Corinthians 13:4-5). “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26) Wear the hatred of Satan and his children as a badge of honor unto the LORD who bought you with His precious blood! We are in warfare.

Is your hand on the plow or are you lukewarm? It’s either / or.

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

WHEN you are attacked for preaching God’s Word, it will be the rage of the counterfeit pharisees of our day. They despise the Savior they claim saved them by His grace and that is why they viciously attack Christ’s messengers. | Refuting Eternal Security Arguments [podcast]

HAS anyone called you a wolf, a false prophet, or said you have a devil? This is exactly what has been done to all of Christ’s servants. We are in good company saints! Jesus told us to “rejoice” when we are persecuted for His name’s sake! (Matthew 5:10-12) Check out what the religionists of Christ’s day said of John the Baptist and the Son of God:

“For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He (John the Baptist) hath a devil.” Luke 7:33

“And many of them said, He (Jesus) hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?” John 10:20

This Life Shall Soon Past – So Let us Look Passed it – into Eternity!

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18

In light of the fact that as Jesus’ disciples, we are going to suffer great persecutions and afflictions, and slander, this is an encouragement. In one of the resumes of his sufferings for Christ, Paul brings out this following gem that we can find great comfort in saints….

“By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;” 2 Corinthians 6:8

Notice the contrast between how lost souls viewed Paul and how God and His people viewed him and his ministering partners:

  • “honour” vs “dishonour”
  • “evil report” vs “good report”
  • “deceivers” vs “true”

Satan and the sinful often work to malign the righteous, to frame them up as evil.

Satan’s slanderers dishonored Paul but God honored them. The apostle was called evil but the LORD and His people had a “good report” of him. The devil’s disciples called Paul and his team “deceivers” and yet before God and the godly they were “true.”

Jesus says “rejoice” when persecuted and “Woe unto you” if you’re not being persecuted (Matthew 5:10-12; Luke 6:26).

EVER been told “you are a devil” or “you have a devil”? You are in good company if so!!!

Of John the Baptist and Jesus, the wicked said of each of them that they “hath a devil.” (Luke 7:33; John 10:20-21)

Litmus Test: Are you shining out enough divine light to be “hated”?

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22

Committing Ourselves to the LORD

As Jesus and His apostles demonstrated, we must commit ourselves to God and how He views us.

“Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:” 1 Peter 2:23

What matters is what God sees and knows.

“Crucified … unto the world”

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14

“Who”?

“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8:33-34

Jesus warned us that if all men like us and therefore speak well of us, that would put us in the category of being false.

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:26

When the world, the ungodly call you a deceiver, drag up the words of other slanders, dig up your past sins, and assault your name, you can take heart that the wicked have done this to the prophets, the LORD Jesus, the apostles, and all true saints throughout New Testament history (ref. Foxe’s Book of Martyrs). See Proverbs 16:27-28.

“But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:10-13

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28

“Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” Luke 6:21-23

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.” 1 Peter 4:12-14

Riveting! Encouraging! Comforting! Emboldening! Persecution Audios. You will never be the same-for God’s glory! Life changing audio messages! Those who expose Satan’s agents and “doctrines of devils,” will be hated (2 Corinthians 11:12-15; 1 Timothy 4:1-3, etc.).

Abiding Under the Shadow of the Almighty [podcast]

Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. 16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:  Jeremiah 15:15-16

Dwelling “in the secret place of the most High”

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:1-2

“In the secret place of the Most High – Spoken probably in reference to the Holy of holies. He who enters legitimately there shall be covered with the cloud of God’s glory – the protection of the all-sufficient God. This was the privilege of the high priest only, under the law: but under the new covenant all believers in Christ have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; and those who thus enter are safe from every evil.” Adam Clarke

“[Psalms] 91:1, 2 Jesus is the One who in a preeminent way dwelt in the secret place of the Most High, and abode under the shadow of the Almighty. There never was a life like His. He lived in absolute, unbroken fellowship with God, His Father. He never acted in self-will but did only those things that the Father directed. Though He was perfect God, He was also perfect Man, and He lived His life on earth in utter and complete dependence on God. Without equivocation He could look up and say, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I will trust.” Believer’s Bible Commentary

Attend to My Words [podcast]

IF THE WORD isn’t flowing into you daily, you are falling away. Flood and fuel your heart and mind and body with the pure, the holy light of God’s Word daily and you will never famish! All darkness will be vanquished (Psalms 119:130). All who have been saved and yet aren’t in God’s Word and prayer daily – have rejected Christ, with no exception. Re-turn to the LORD prodigal. There’s no good outside of Christ the KING.

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130

ALL who are not in God’s written Word daily are not hearing from God, do not have God’s wisdom and direction, and are walking in darkness – 100%.

The feeding of Christ’s flock would integrally involve exhorting them to diligently study and walk in God’s Word themselves, daily (John 21:15-17). Isn’t this exactly what the apostle Paul told Timothy to do? Yes. He told his understudy to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

One of the ways we know who the false ministers are, is that they want people dependent on THEM, not God. So, they don’t constantly exhort the people to get into God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, for themselves. Run.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. … My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:4, 20-23

“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16

“Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

“Over the last 5-10 years I can see where He has done this for me already, but the problem is …. it’s not enough! I want even more! One hour of study and prayer in the morning is not enough!” Christine
