What did Jesus mean by “Receive ye the Holy Ghost”?
QUESTION ASKED:
“Hey brother I have a question that I need clarification on, perhaps you can help my understanding. John 20:22 states that Jesus breathed on the disciples (believers) and said ‘RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST’. I was taught no one received the Holy Ghost until the day of Pentecost. Also no tongues mentioned here. So were they not saved because they spoke in no tongues, even though Jesus breathed the Holy Ghost on them but the fact that tongues is a sign of the Holy Ghost, yet wasn’t even present yet is a bit confusing to some. I have my own thoughts, just wanted to hear your humble opinion.”
REPLY:
A dear sister in Christ recently spoke to me concerning the oneness Pentecostal religionists who make tongues an essential to salvation and said they told her she was going to hell if she didn’t pray in tongues. My reply to her was as follows: “Yes to base salvation, the gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23), on the gift of tongues (reserved only for those who have first received His gift of salvation, eternal life), is completely heretical. A big part of our lives in Christ is sorting through, rightly dividing His truth/Word and the falsehoods spread by false religious teaching – which was Jesus’ greatest enemy when He walked the earth (Matthew 23, etc.). The LORD has a purpose in this in that He solidifies, forges His truth in His saints as they diligently search out His truth to re-prove (prove again) and more deeply, His truth to make us more mature (2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 11:19). A Bible search for the word “establish” and “established” is a blessing…. and a prayer to the Father to ever more deeply root and ground us in Him and His truth (Colossians).”
Perhaps we can observe that Satan is only seeking to counterfeit that which is authentically of God. That’s his M.O. and job, right? See John 10:10. Seems the confusion on this matter means that Satan wants to confuse and cheat God’s people out of the fulness of the Holy Spirit.
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
This being said, it’s not a salvation issue and yet, in this disciple’s biblical opinion, being baptized with the Holy Ghost is a ministry, a fruit-bearing issue. Jesus told His own that it was only “after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you” that they would be empowered to do His work (Acts 1:8). On a personal note: The power of God in my life was exponentially increased upon asking Him to endue my life with power from on high, to fill, baptize me in His Holy Ghost (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8, etc.). I had been saved nearly a year when this occurred. The power to minister was a night and day difference, immediately. Now that this is stated…. I certainly do not condemn nor question the salvation of anyone who sees this differently.
Perhaps Christ’s breathing on His disciples was a type of additional forthtelling, precursor of what was about to occur at Pentecost (Acts 1-2). He had already spoken to them about “the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name” (John 14:26). Now the day had arrived, the day of Pentecost was just ahead, where Christ’s followers were going to receive the Holy Ghost in the full measure, as He ordained them to walk in – to be comforted, taught, and empowered by Him.
“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” John 20:21-23
Perhaps Jesus’ breathing on them signified the power and life to be soon given to them to do His work. This seems to fit in that the baptism with the Holy Ghost was to empower God’s people in doing His Gospel work, right?
“But ye shall receive power, AFTER that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
As the Father filled and anointed Jesus the Son of God to do His mission, His work, so Jesus sends forth His people with His anointing and bless-ed power to do His work!
“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” John 20:21
Of this passage, Adam Clarke writes the following:
“He breathed on them – Intimating, by this, that they were to be made new men, in order to be properly qualified for the work to which he had called them; for in this breathing he evidently alluded to the first creation of man, when God breathed into him the breath of lives, and he became a living soul: the breath or Spirit of God (רוח אלהים ruach Elohim) being the grand principle and cause of his spiritual and Divine life.
Receive ye the Holy Ghost – From this act of our Lord, the influences of the Holy Spirit on the souls of men have been termed his inspiration; from in, into, and spiro, I breathe. Every word of Christ which is received in the heart by faith comes accompanied by this Divine breathing; and, without this, there is neither light nor life. Just as Adam was before God breathed the quickening spirit into him, so is every human soul till it receives this inspiration. Nothing is seen, known, discerned, or felt of God, but through this. To every private Christian this is essentially requisite; and no man ever did or ever can preach the Gospel of God, so as to convince and convert sinners, without it.”
As seen throughout Acts, tongues is a sign of the baptism with the Holy Spirit, not salvation. And no one is a candidate for our LORD’s baptism with His Holy Ghost, (“the gift of the Holy Ghost” reserved only for His people) until they are first born again, saved (Acts 2:38; John 14:17). The baptism with the Holy Spirit is given by God to all of His own people who call upon Him for it, ask Him. As is witnessed in the book of Acts with the earliest followers of Jesus, His holy apostles, and Christ Himself, this is the only way His powerful ministry can be performed in the earth.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
The explosive divine power that was unleashed on this world at and after Pentecost is something the world had never seen, and it happened in and through the lives of Christ’s people who were baptized with (immersed and clothed with) His Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus instructed His apostles to “tarry” or wait to be baptized with the Holy Spirit before going forth to fulfill His Great Commission.
“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For THE PROMISE is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38-39
John the Baptist spoke of this promise:
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” Matthew 3:11
The seminaries were hi-jacked by Satan decades ago, at least. And so, there are many pretending to be in ministry today who have no power from on high. They are naked in the battle, powerless, and a laughable excuse of what the New Testament church is ordained of God to be in and to this fallen world.
There will be no power in ministry, in the life of the child of God “until ye be endued with power from on high.” Ok, look at these words from Christ again, and notice the word “after”:
“But ye shall receive power, AFTER (not before) that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
The infilling or baptism with the Spirit is the gift of God exclusively to those who are already His and yet, it is an original Gospel essential for walking in the power of God. Remember the difference in power when Jesus came out of the dessert and the Holy Spirit had come upon Him in a special way? Read Luke 4.
“And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all… 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:14-15, 18
Perhaps from this we can observe that many today who are saved, are in a dry place, a dessert and God is calling them to come to Him afresh to receive “power from on high” from Him, the baptism with His Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49).
How else could God’s people do His work outside of being empowered by Him? They can’t. Several times Jesus promised, foretold that He was going to send the Holy Spirit to comfort and empower His people, to be with and in them when He left the earth. In fact, He said this would be far better! (John 16:7)
“If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:15-18
The following is from the Life in the Spirit study Bible:
“The impartation of the Holy Spirit by Jesus to His disciples on resurrection day was not the baptism in the Spirit as experienced by them at Pentecost (Acts 1:5; 2:4). It was rather an infusing of the disciples for the first time with the regenerating presend of the Holy Spirit and with the new life from the risen Christ.
(1) During the last discourse that Jesus had with His disciples before His trial and crucifixion, He promised them that they would receive the Holy Spirit as the One who would regenerate them; ‘he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17). Jesus now fulfills that promise.
(2) That John 20:22 refers to regeneration can be inferred from the phrase, ‘he breathed on them.’ The Greek word for ‘breathed’ (emphusao) is the same verb used in his (Adam’s) ‘nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.’ It is the same verb that is found in Ezek. 37:9, ‘Breathe upon these slain, that they may live.’ John’s use of the verb in 20:22 indicates that Jesus was giving the Spirit in order to bring forth life and a new creation. That is, just as God breathed into physical man Jesus breathed into the disciples spiritual life and they became a new creation. Through His resurrection, Jesus became a ‘quickening (life-giving) spirit’ (1 Cor. 15:45).
(3) The words ‘receive ye the Holy Ghost’ establishes that the Spirit, at that historical moment, entered and began to dwell in the disciples. The verb for for ‘receive’ is aorist imperative (Gk. labete, from the word lambano), denoting a single act of reception. The Holy Spirit was given to regenerate them, to make them new creatures in Christ (cf. 2 Cor. 5:17). This ‘receiving’ of life from the Holy Spirit preceded both their receiving the authority of Jesus (John 20:23) and their baptism in the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4).
(4) Prior to this time, the disciples were technically true believers and followers of Jesus and were saved according to the old covenant provisions. Yet they were not regenerated in the full new covenant sense. Not until this point did the disciples enter into the new covenant provisions based on Jesus’ death and resurrection (see Mat. 26:28; Luke 22:20; 1 Cor. 11:25; Eph. 2:15-16; Heb. 9:15-17). It was also technically at this time and not at Pentecost that the church was born. The spiritual birth of the first disciples and the birth of the church are one and the same.
(5) This passage is crucial in understanding the Holy Spirit’s ministry to the people of God. These two statements are true: (a) the disciples received the Holy Spirit (i.e., were indwelt and regenerated by the Holy Spirit) before the day of Pentecost; and (b) the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon them in Acts 2:4 was an experience occurring after their regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Their baptism in the Spirit at Pentecost was, therefore, a second and distinct work of the Spirit in them.
(6) These two separate and distinct works of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Jesus’ disciples are normative for all Christians. That is, all believers receive the Holy Spirit at the time of their regeneration, and afterwards must experience the baptism in the Holy Spirit for power to be His witnesses (Acts 1:5,8; 2:4, 39).
(7) There is no Scripture foundation to suggest that Jesus’ bestowal of the Holy Spirit in John 20:22 was simply symbolical prophecy of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The use of the aorist imperative for ‘receive’ (see above) denotes reception at that moment and in that place. What occurred was a historical reality in space and time and John records it as such.”

TORAH Keepers Slammed
The value in Torah is that it pointed to, it prefigured the coming Messiah – Jesus Christ. It also established by God says is sin. It could not save. It is utterly inferior to the New Covenant brought by the Messiah. Read Hebrews 8-10.
TORAH KEEPING ANTICHRISTS EXPOSED! Christ’s apostle Paul warned Titus and us of many judaizer devils! Nothing has changed! Expose them!
NOTHING is more antichrist than rebels who pretend to keep the whole law or even attempt to (for righteousness) – instead of truly repenting and receiving the only One who ever perfectly kept the law and then nailed it to the cross! Jesus Christ! (Colossians 2:14-19) Galatians!

Those still seeking to earn their own salvation via law keeping are outside of Christ’s kingdom and being called by Him to truly repent and believe upon Him – He who paid the full price for their sins on the cross (John 19:30). You are fully guilty in His holy eyes and He yet fully paid the only price that could have been paid to make you one with Him and the Father. You owe a debt you cannot pay. He paid a debt He did not owe. That’s how much Jesus loves you. Those who deny Christ by saying no to His offer and instead seeking to work for their own salvation, are doomed in sin, now and forever.
Gaebelein complains rightly:
“A judaistic Christianity which, with a profession of Grace and the Gospel, attempts to keep the law and fosters legal righteousness is a greater abomination in the eyes of God than professing Israel in the past, worshipping idols.”
Jesus came to “fulfil” the law which means to expire the law (Matthew 5:17-18)…. by perfectly keeping it, nailing it to the cross, and taking it out of the way so His new creatures can walk by the Spirit, by grace to fulfill all righteousness (Romans 8:2-4; Colossians 2:14-19).
MESSAGE RECEIVED:
“Why you understand the word “fulfil” to mean to expire is baffling, it is plain and clear in Greek.”
REPLY:
The law is expired “FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS” and not completely. The law reveals to us how sinful we are (Gal 3:24; Rom 5:20). The law establishes what God require (Romans 7:12) Law simply means instruction. Law does a lot more than expose sin. It arouses sin and causes sin to INCREASE. Rom 7:5; 5:20
Trying to keep the law to be right with God is a farce. “Keeping Torah” is a scam.
It’s time for you to repent and get into the LORD’s NEW Testament which replaced the old and is infinitely superior to the old (Heb 8-10). Moses, the law, cannot save you. Only Jesus can. John 1:17
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:2-4
We are saved by, espoused to, and committed to Christ, not the law (John 1:17; Romans 10:4; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Galatians 2:20-21). The law is perfect and yet makes no one righteous (Romans 3:28; 7:12; 10:4; Galatians 2:16, etc.). The law reveals just how wicked we are – in order to bring us to Christ (Romans 7; Galatians 3:24). Jesus nailed the ordinances of the law to the cross, taking it away, out of our way (Colossians 2:14-19). The New Covenant, ratified in the very blood of the Messiah, is all about Jesus, our “first love” and not law keeping (Romans 10:4; Revelation 2:4-5). Our worship is to Him. Read Romans 3:31; 8:2-4 closely. Pour over it prayerfully. Those who are born again into Christ, walking in the Spirit, will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh but rather the righteousness the law demands but never afforded the ability to perform until Christ came! (John 1:17) Christ’s New Testament disciples are full of His Holy Spirit and don’t walk around everyday trying to “keep Torah” as the Hebrew roots cult would lead one to believe. No, they love Jesus who saved them and walk in the power of His Holy Spirit, by the Word of God and fruitfully please God through the crucified life (Luke 9:23-24; John 15; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20-21). The believer, walking out the daily cross – crucified life – is raised up and divinely enabled, by God’s enabling grace, the operational power of God, to fulfill all righteousness (Romans 8:3-4; 12-14; Galatians 5:14-24).
The law makes no one righteous but only convicts and reveals just how sinful we are and how much we need Christ – not more attempted law-keeping! (Romans 3:28; 7; Galatians 2:16; 3:24)
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:4-5
Note: Those working to earn salvation do not have saving grace – are not saved.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Anyone who gets saved and then doesn’t drill down into the doctrinal letters and epistles and get grounded in grace through faith justification and living, will be susceptible to being deceived by the antichrist judaizers in our midst. It will cost many of them their eternal souls. There will be not 1 law-keeping judaizing snake in Heaven. If you don’t know that, you are biblically illiterate. Romans. Galatians. Ephesians. Philippians. Colossians. Hebrews.
Men are “justified by faith” and kept “by faith.”
“Justified by faith”
“Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH without the deeds of the law.” Romans 3:28
“Kept by faith”
“Who are KEPT by the power of God THROUGH FAITH unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:5
Justified by faith but sanctified by law keeping????
NOT. “The just (those justified by God) shall live by faith.”
Born again New Testament disciples are saved by grace through faith. They are saved, justified, and sanctified by faith. They live by faith and not by law or law keeping. See Hebrews 11:6.
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith (not law to law): as it is written, The just shall live by faith (not law keeping).” Romans 1:17
“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live BY FAITH.” Galatians 3:11
“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back (go back to law keeping), my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38
“Cut Off”
TODAY, MAY God “cut off” every vile devil who seeks to bring God’s people back under the curse and yoke of the law, in Jesus’ name (Galatians!).
“I would they were even cut off which trouble you.” Galatians 5:12
ONLY Messiah kept the law perfectly….. no other man ever did…. only MESSIAH can save, not law…. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10
Only Jesus kept the law perfectly and then nailed it to the cross and “took it out of the way.” (Colossians 2:14-19) Law-keeping can’t save anyone. The Law simply reveals to us just how wicked we are (Romans 7). If law, law-keeping could save us, why did God send and allow His only begotten Son to be crucified for our sins? Have you ever read Galatians 2:16, 21? What about Romans 10:4? How Does God Justify a Person?
Breaking just 1 commandment makes us guilty of breaking the whole law – James 2:10.
Fake Jews?
The Holy Spirit through Paul tells us who the true and false jews are – “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2:28-29
E. F. Kevan says:
“Paul saw that circumcision for justification was not the innocent little rite that the unthinking man might assume it to be. To undergo circumcision was to seek to be justified by a legalistic method of law-keeping, and thus to deny the very foundations of grace.”
Was Christ’s sacrifice perfect? What it enough? Yes or no?
One MUST leave Christ, to depart from the only Savior, to go back to law-keeping. Such a person has denied Christ, has “fallen from grace” – is under a spirit of witchcraft, and is no longer saved (Galatians 3:3; 5:4).
The only reason people are running around claiming they are going to “keep torah” is because they do not know and have up till now rejected Christ! The Jewish Messiah has already come and is the only one ever to perfectly keep torah – then he nailed it to the cross and took it away!!!
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” Colossians 2:14
TORAH Turbulence Silenced with God’s Word
Recently, after times of severely, mercilessly blasting Judaizers a dear sister weighed in with the following (Galatians 2:4-5). This sister gets it!!! Anna Lisa writes:
“People who call themselves ‘Torah observant’ are actually anti-Christs (you’re right), because they are in actuality DENYING the TRUE and PERFECT work that ONLY CHRIST has fulfilled!”
Christ Has Set Us Free
In this passage below, being circumcised = being under the law, any part of it, such as keeping a sabbath day, etc. Law or grace? Each must choose between Moses (OT) and Jesus (NT). You are either under the law or under grace but not both. If you are antichrist enough to think you can be justified by your own laugh keeping, good luck dupe – because you are personally accountable to keep it all perfectly from birth thill the end of your life. And if you fail in just 1 point of the whole law, you are guilty of breaking it all before a holy God (James 2:10). Read carefully:
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” Galatians 5:1-4
Wondering Just What “Judaizing” Means?
Here it is in the words of Christ’s apostle Paul:
“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily (secretly) to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.” Galatians 2:4-5
Judaizers are those who seek to move saved people away from Christ and back under law! There is nothing in New Testament Scripture rebuked more severely than this antichrist evil. Paul didn’t give them even an hour of his time!

“What part of “I AM YHWH I change not” or Yeshivah sayaing “I have not come to do away with the law/torah but to fill it utterly full” or “not even the smallest part of the law/torah will pass away until it is ALL utterly brought into being” don’t you understand?”

WHAT part of “It is Finished” do you not understand? (John 19:30) SHOW US ALL where Jesus or His apostles ever even 1 time instructed NEW Testament saints to keep any certain day???? You are not saved. You are trusting in your own futile ability to keep the whole law perfectly and in utter need of repentance before it’s too late.
MAKE NO MISTAKE: The vain attempt of law-keeping for righteousness is the highest insult to the Almighty who sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins! (Galatians 2:21) Torah-Keeping Judaizing Devils Busted and Exposed as Hell Bound Frauds!!!
You are not good. “There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10). You have personally sinned against a holy God in many ways and are fully guilty. God isn’t concerned about how good you think you are but rather that you would honor how good he is – that He would crucify His only begotten Son for our sins! AMENNNN sister. The truth, when it owns us, inoculates us from heresies like this – which are soul damning.
Another one below…. Notice how this demonic witch below says that our salvation depends on knowing the Hebrew and Greek languages, 2 dead languages. Wow. In other words, the devil is speaking through her and saying that we really don’t have God’s Word. That He lied to us by not keeping His Word to preserve His Word to us in our own language (Psalms 12:6-7). She mentions nothing of Christ’s sacrifice which plainly proves she doesn’t know Him who paid the full price for the sins of the whole world on that cross! (John 19:30)

Please show us all WHERE O WHERE is the all-elusive Bible verse in the NEW Testament Scriptures that instructs NEWWWW Testament saints saved by grace through faith to keep any certain day? There are LOTS of judaizers in our midst saints. They trust their own ability to keep the whole law, all the time, perfectly. In this, they’ve rejected perfect, one-time sacrifice of Christ on the cross (John 19:30; Colossians 1:14, etc.). These are antichrists which means they put something, anything in place of Christ. They vainly believe that Jesus was not enough to save and redeem them but rather that we have to help God out by keeping the Old law.
WHY did Jesus ever bother coming if men could be justified by their own futile attempt at law keeping or trying to keep the whole law? James 2:10 anybody?
“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:21
If they don’t believe that Christ’s sacrifice was enough to redeem fully, they are not saved by grace (lost souls) but vainly believe keeping Torah (books of Moses) is going to save them. Keeping the LORD’s commandments doesn’t include law keeping or sabbath keeping to be righteous, justified. ANY person who teaches this heresy is an antichrist who has openly denied Christ’s perfect sacrifice was sufficient to completely justify His saints. In light of the end time events transpiring before our eyes we are keeping our:
- Eyes to Jesus (Luke 21:28; Colossians 3:1-4; Hebrews 12:1-3).
- Hand to the plough of His work (Luke 9:62).

Salvation, ministry, is all about Jesus Christ, not us.

Asking the LORD to strip you and build you from the ground up – HIS way and no other. Ask Him to remove every trace, every iota of flesh, of deceit, of evil (2 Corinthians 7:1).
