The Importance of Blood Sacrifice [podcast]

A Blood-Less Gospel is a False Gospel!

“The aprons of fig leaves speak of man’s attempt to save himself by a bloodless religion of good works.” William MacDonald

As the first man and woman quickly discovered after they sinned, the fig leaves of good works are not honored of God, will not cover sin from the eyes of He who is “Holy, holy, holy.” (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8) Blood sacrifice is essential in divine redemption.

“Without shedding of blood is no remission.” Hebrews 9:22

SATAN wants people trusting in water and not the BLOOD of Jesus. Beware. We are saved by the blood of Jesus – water baptism is for those who have already repented and believed upon Jesus Christ. It’s an outward profession of the inward work of regeneration God has already done! (Titus 3:5-7)

From the cradle of creation through the dispensation of the Mosaic law, in Christ’s redemptive blood on Calvary’s cross, and throughout eternity future, we see that in the Creator’s economy, it is blood that quenches the fire of His holy vengeance.

“Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Romans 5:9

If it doesn’t include the BLOOD, if it’s not a bloody Gospel, it’s no gospel at all other than “another gospel” coming from an “accursed” wolf (Galatians 1:6-9). BEWARE.

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious BLOOD of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: … 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And THIS is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” 1 Peter 1:18-19, 25

God’s desire today is to apply the precious blood of His only begotten Son to all who will repent and receive Jesus (John 1:12).

WHEN we stop, step back and meditate upon how rarely we hear the cardinal, central, essential Bible message—the doctrine of the BLOOD of Jesus Christ, the stunning reality of the foretold great departure from the faith will begin to set in (1 Timothy 4:1-2).

“Contemporary Christian song books remove the Bible word ‘blood’ along with other biblical doctrines. They want POPULAR music that makes you ‘feel’ good while many spiritual truths are intentionally ignored. Also, they don’t include all the stanzas of the original hymn writers IF they have hymns.” Brother Turk

Beware of the many Christ-denying preachings, song lyrics, quotes, and books which do not aggrandize (UPHOLD and magnify Jesus Christ, “Not holding the Head” (Colossians 2:18-19). “The spirit of antichrist” is behind all such subversion (1 John 2:18; 4:1-6).

You are never communicating the Gospel more than when you are preaching the BLOOD!

DID JESUS “SPILL” OR DID THE SON OF GOD INTENTIONALLY “SHED” HIS PERFECT BLOOD? JESUS “SHED” HIS BLOOD, HE DIDN’T “SPILL” IT. SPILL CONVEYS something ACCIDENTAL. READ MATTHEW 26:28 below.

“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:28

“As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:15

“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” John 10:18

JESUS came to die for the sins of mankind and washes away ALL the sins of EVERY person who repents! THAT’S WHY He came – to redeem and forgive and dwell with those He saves forever! Matthew 26:28; John 17:3; Ephesians 2:6-7; Colossians 1:14; 1 John 2:1-2, etc.!!!!!

False teachers promise victory and success outside of Christ’s cross. Yet it is only when Jesus remits the sins of the repentant who are believing upon Him, that “all power” from Christ in Heaven is given them to overcome Satan.

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven (due to Christ’s blood).” Luke 10:18-20

After dying on that cross, being buried, and rising from the dead, Jesus sent forth His body:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

It is only and as one is submitted to God by repentance and faith in the blood of the Redeemer, that he is able by Christ to resist Satan and overcome him:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

Submitting ourselves to God is initially and perpetually centered at Christ’s redeeming cross (blood)!

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26:26-29

What is it that Jesus wanted us to supremely remember? What did the Son of God never want us to forget?

“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24-25

The death of the LORD Jesus Christ on the cross where His sinless, divine blood was shed, is of paramount, essential importance and should not only never be forgotten but celebrated unto we are with Him!

Peace was not free. Jesus freely chose to pay for it with His own precious life blood in His crucifixion on that cross! We are only Made Nigh by the Blood of Christ [podcast].

You will recall how Jesus emphasized the forgiveness of sins which is through His blood …. “the blood of his cross” (Colossians 1:20).

“For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?” Matthew 9:5

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6

We are only going to reign with Christ due to the price He paid to redeem us on that cross.

ANY preacher who denies Christ by refusing to preach His redeeming blood on a constant basis, is a vile wolf! Run for your life!

Remaining washed by the blood of Christ is not automatic and is conditional upon the individual recipients enduring to the end of his life, walking in the light as Christ is in the light.

“But IF we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

Oh, what a Savior, oh hallelujah
His heart was broken on Calvary
His hands were nail scarred
His side was riven
He gave His life-blood for even me.

Jesus will Judge Us by Our Works

By Glenn and Dezi Langohr

JESUS — JUDGED BY WORKS

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father… Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied…? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21–23

Our works clearly reveal what is in our hearts! Fruit.

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27

“…all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28–29

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: *the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” John 12:48

PAUL — CONTINUE IN GOOD WORKS

“Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.” Romans 2:6–7

“For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” Romans 2:13

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

“…they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.” Titus 3:8

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10

“…for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing…” Galatians 6:7–9

JAMES — FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:17

“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” James 2:24

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26

PETER — BE HOLY, DO GOOD WORKS

“And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.” 1 Peter 1:17

“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1 Peter 2:12

“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” 2 Peter 1:10

 SUMMARY

Jesus said He will judge every man by their works (Matthew 16:27, John 5:29).

Paul taught that eternal life is for those who continue in well doing (Romans 2:7, Titus 3:8).

James declared faith without works is dead (James 2:17, 24).

Peter warned God will judge every man’s work (1 Peter 1:17) and exhorted us to abound in good works.

God’s people are called to endure to the end with living faith proven by works of obedience, love, and holiness.

To Walk in Love is of the Highest Priority to the LORD [podcast]

If we die without His love we will not be with Him above.

Jesus loved us and all His enemies, even under to death – for our, for the redemption of the world.

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8  But God commendeth (displayed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

Our promised we, His people, will be persecuted as He was (John 7:7; 15:20, etc.).

“The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. ” John 7:7

“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” John 15:20

God commands that we walk in His love toward all men, including those who hate and persecute us.

“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and
hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice
to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” Ephesians 5:2

To “walk in love” is of the highest priority to the LORD. Study
this important topic, asking God to fill you with His love and
all the corresponding fruit thereof (Galatians 5:22-23). How
can those who claim to know He who “is love” not walk in
His love? (See 1 John 4:8, 16.)

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of
angels, and have not charity, I am become as
sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I
have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all
faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have
not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all
my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my
body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth
me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind;
charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not
puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly,
seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth
all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8
Charity never faileth.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

“Walking in God’s love requires the cross life. This takes dying to your flesh (Gal 2:20). Because our wicked flesh wants revenge. And will rise up in anger. Believing their attacks are personally against us. But when you are walking in the Spirit of God, Jesus will fill you with love for them. By loving them instead of looking for revenge we are showing them the character of Christ. We don’t need to retaliate. Because we see it is the Jesus in you they are attacking. And we are to rejoice in that! Matthew 5:12.  I am beginning to see this manifest in my life. I don’t take their attacks personally anymore. Hallelujah. That can be debilitating in your walk with Jesus. And just keep you in anger! But through the cross you have victory and see them through the eyes of Jesus! And most importantly bless and pray for them!” Karen Cochran

Prayer: Father, You are love. Please fill my heart and life with Your love—to pour on others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Subverted Hereticks [podcast]

Biblical definition of a “heretick”

Biblically speaking, the word heretic comes from the Greek hairetikon, meaning “divisive” (Titus 3:10). A heretic is one who purposes to create disunity, fragmenting the body of Christ – this would include pushing non-essentials and things that are not according to the doctrines of Holy Scripture.

Any man who causes unnecessary division or strife, in the body of Christ by originating and perpetuating unprofitable arguments based on non-essentials and/or false doctrine, is an “heretick” and should be dealt with accordingly.

In verse 8 of Titus 3, the apostle is instructing Titus concerning the things that are “profitable.”

“These things are good and profitable unto men.”

See verses 1-8 of Titus 3 to see what the LORD says are “profitable unto men.”

Now he is going to address those who insist are causing division among the members of Christ’s body based on this that “are unprofitable and vain.” (v9)

The word “heretick” appears 1 time in God’s Word. Here’s the text in which it appears:

“But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” Titus 3:9-11

As we can witness in the above passage, by definition, in Scripture, a “heretick” is one who causes strife and divisions by the use of “foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law” which Paul says here are “unprofitable.”

Those who cause divisions by believing and teaching things that are not according to God’s Word, are to be marked and avoided.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:17-18

“divisions”

dichostasia
dee-khos-tas-ee’-ah
disunion, that is, (figuratively) dissension: – division, sedition.

“That there should be no schism (division, rent) in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.” 1 Corinthians 12:25

“schism”

schisma
skhis’-mah
a split or gap (“schism”), literally or figuratively: – division, rent, schism.

Living in God’s Peace

Have you found also that at times, living at peace with someone, means living at a distance from them?

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18

It’s also important to create distance between yourself and any person who is drawing you away from the leading of the LORD, the calling, the thrust of ministry. This is the work of the evil – using “foolish questions,” nit picking, doubt casting, “and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.” (Titus 3:9-11)

Because of the chosen evil nature of some, whom I believe we can call “swine” and “dogs,” there will be no peace and so the choice must be made to cut them off. For myself, I’ve had to cut off – block – block certain people in order to remain in peace, to stay away from strife “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” (James 3:16) Jesus commands:

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Matthew 7:6

Dogs, swine are not to be allowed to be within range of stabbing us, rending us which means to tear or stab.

Based on the instructions of Holy Scripture, personally, I am quick triggered with people who refuse to hear truth after it’s communicated to them. Read Titus 3:10-11 and Matthew 7:6 and consider being obedient to these divine commands which are written to you.

Here’s why you must study God’s Word – the whole of it – for yourself:

Perhaps the most insidious, dangerous thing false teachers do is that they over emphasize the minors while evading or under emphasizing or never mentioning the majors – the doctrinal majors of God’s Word.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.” Matthew 23:23-25
