The Conquering Cross of Christ [podcast]

Your greatest enemy is self, not Satan. Satan is only conquered as self is crucified and Christ is reigning in your life.

Those who have sin have demons. Read 1 John 3:3-10. And we can yell and scream at Satan till we’re blue in the face but he doesn’t have to leave as long as sin reigns in the life of the person being prayed for – whether self or someone else. The principle of the cross, dying and being buried, is the only solution to conquering sin and Satan. Works every time! See James 4:7.

The devil’s days are over – his reign of terror ends when we submit ourselves to God in true repentance! Till then, the enemy of all souls has full reign in your life.

1 John 3:3-10

“And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

Overcoming the flesh, walking in victory requires continually delighting in the LORD, worshiping Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24.)

BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST ROSE AGAIN, ALL WHO ARE BORN AGAIN IN HIM ARE RAISED UP SPIRITUALLY IN THIS LIFE TO OVERCOME ALL SIN, SATAN, AND THE WORLD, AND WILL BE SOON RAISED UP INTO ETERNAL GLORY WITH HEAVEN’S KING.

The best and most important and most fruitful thing you will ever do is to seek the face of the LORD.

“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:11

Nothing yields higher dividends both now and forever.

“Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.” Psalms 42:7

Those who truly love God are learning today to endure sound doctrine – to peer into and migrate to raw, hard biblical truth, holding themselves accountable to it! Read 2 Timothy 4:2-4. True disciples of Jesus don’t seek out FAKE “BIBLES” or fake preachers to tickle their ear. In contrast, counterfeits evade, migrate away from hard truth to their own eternal demise. Instead of crucifying the deeds of the body, they run to fake preachers, wolves who feed their lusts and their love for the things of this world (James 4:4; 1 John 2:15). Eternal damnation awaits.

The cross vision is the vision of how God ordains your life to work. As you love, worship, and obey the LORD, worshiping Him with the whole of your being, His love is going to fill you and be poured out through you to others. In the cross-life, self-absorption is replaced with Savior consumption. As death works in you, Christ’s life is going to work through you!

“So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:12

As we choose to “take root downward” He who is “the resurrection and the life” is going to cause us to “bear fruit upward” (John 11:25).

“And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward (death and burial), and bear fruit upward (resurrection):” Isaiah 37:31

When we allow God to consume and conquer self, the Savior will raise up and reign in our lives!

Feel like hell is unleashed on you? Being oppressed? God is using this season to bring you afresh to Himself, to repent afresh, return fully, wholly, without reservation to Him. Lay down your life today and submit to the cross Christ commanded you to take up. Submit to being truly crucified with Christ. Resurrection victory will follow, without exception.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” John 12:24-26

The cross life means we are following Jesus who conquered sin and Satan by dying.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14-15

Jesus conquered by dying and not by rising up in His own self-will.

You can say the words “Get thee behind me Satan” all day long to no avail (Luke 4:8). It’s only as you are submitted to God in the cross life that Satan must flee from the rebuke of your life and mouth! Read the following verse carefully:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

“Submit is the key in order to resist…..when I came to an understanding of ‘submit’ I knew then I could resist the devil and he did flee….WOW, how powerful is The Word Of God…” Marlene

Only when you are humbled downward, submitted to God in dying, will Christ’s authority possess you, and the devil must flee due to having no more legal right to you.

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:13-14

Read prayerfully about your co-death with Christ in Romans 6.

“The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.” Psalms 145:14

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

The Cross and the Throne of Grace [podcast]

“Hid with Christ in God”

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

The safest place in the universe is in the cross of Christ: “your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3).

Our place of protection is in the love walk with the LORD where we express our love for Him in obedience to Him. Jesus commanded that we deny self, take up the cross daily and follow Him. We are full of troubles and so it should be easy to relinquish all to Him!

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” Job 14:1

In Christ alone is our rest from the toil of this life.

“Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.” Psalms 17:4

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Prayer: Father, in Jesus’ name, please bring me to the end of sinful self. Rebuke and remove the foolishness of this heart! I love You LORD and thank You that I am crucified with You today and that You are raising up this life for Your glory alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“I Will Uphold Thee with the Right Hand of My Righteousness” [podcast]

One source notes:

“‘I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness’ is a famous promise from the Bible found in Isaiah 41:10 (KJB). It is a comforting verse offering reassurance against fear, with ‘the right hand of my righteousness’ symbolizing God’s divine power, justice, and support.”

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Help Me Jesus!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. … For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:10, 13

“When we are in the fire of affliction it’s easy to feel afraid and wonder if God is there. Many of the great men of the Bible became discouraged and broken. But the secret was they took it to God in all honesty! In Job 3 he expressed a desire to die. But yet he said in Job 19:25 ‘For I know my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:’ David said in Psalm 56:9 ‘When I cry into thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.’ And we know Jeremiah, Jonah, Elijah, etc. all had moments of despair and suffering, but the Lord continued to uphold and encourage them. Their faith did not waver even in the midst of doubt and confusion!” Karen Cochran

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Psalms 118:6

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39

“in thy presence is fulness of joy”

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalms 16:11

“at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”

Be Not Moved Away from the Hope of the Gospel [podcast]

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22

IF ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;” Colossians 1:23

OSAS is a lie from hell. OSAS/eternal security was Satan’s first lie and so it’s blasphemy to teach this doctrine of devils (Gen 2:17; 3:4; 1 Timothy 4:1; Hebrews 3:6, 12-14; 10:26-39; 2 Peter 2:20-21; Jude 4, etc.).

The concept of an un-conditional eternal security is not established in Scripture …. except for it being Satan’s first teaching, his first lie – the “ye shall NOT surely die” lie (Genesis 2:17, 3:4).
