The whole of womanhood is becoming a wife and mother.

“Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.” 1 Timothy 2:15

Being saved in childbearing means to be made whole, to be healed, protected, and preserved.

Childbearing is the fulfillment of everything God created Woman to become.

He created her to be a help meet to fill the earth, something Satan hates and tries to steal and destroy (John 10:10).

But Jesus makes us every whit whole, something we ought to rejoice in and embrace wholeheartedly!

Yes, childbirth is part of our salvation as women. Not the justifying part, the sanctifying part.

In a world of death, being heirs of the grace of life is what sets us apart as God’s people, peculiar (special) to Him.

This our heritage, where we find healing and fulfillment.

This world hates childbearing. Women destroy their bodies with pills and tools. Couples bend over backwards to avoid getting pregnant, when they do, they tear up the baby in the womb because they don’t want to deal with them – unless it’s on their terms of course. Women are treated as ‘less than’ for their sexuality, and children as commodities. Marriage and motherhood have lost their sanctity.

The Truth is that God created marriage and the family. He gave men sperm, and women eggs. He fashioned them with special organs to be able to come together and have a child through their love for each other. And He designed men and women to have the most intimate desire when the woman is most likely to conceive. Isn’t it all so wonderful to think about?

God thinks that it is very good to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth. He intends for couples to marry and make love benevolently. Children are a heritage, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. The man whose table is surrounded by children is a blessed man indeed!

Beyond even these, God brings comfort and hope to the barren. He makes her a proper wife, and yes, even a mother! She can rest assured that the little children she has lost before their appointed time are waiting for her in Heaven with Jesus. In this way, she is storing up her treasure in eternity.

So no matter what kind of mother you are, know that your role is invaluable. Your fertility is a gift to your husband, your family, your Church, and your community. And it is righteous to weep and pray over an empty womb, and to mourn and wail for the babies who were wickedly murdered therein.

Motherhood is sacred. As we walk with Jesus, He will heal us and make us whole. We will be saved through childbearing.
