The LORD is full of compassion and full of mercy toward all. Are you?

Unforgiveness, and being merciless in our attitude toward others is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.

Unforgiveness, being merciless in our attitude toward others is sin. God will judge such a man (Matthew 18:21-35).

“For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” James 2:13

If the LORD wasn’t so very good, none of us could be forgiven for the myriad of sins each of us have committed.

“For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Psalms 86:5

Is your disposition, your heart filled with gratitude at how merciful God has been to you? Is your heart imbued with gratitude for the compassion He’s shown to you, an otherwise utterly wicked person? (Read Romans 7.) Are you returning that same mercy in your dispositional view of others? Do you view them through the mercy of the LORD?

“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.” Psalms 86:15

DO YOU need divine mercy? Yes! You’d better get busy lavishly, richly dumping it out on others! Memorize this now:

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

We should think and speak as if no one on this planet needs Jesus more than we do!

According to the Son of God, the definition of a hypocrite is one who stands in judgment of others while he himself has sin in his own life he hasn’t dealt with in repentance before a holy God (Matthew 7:1-5). Such a man is heaping undiluted judgment upon his own pate (James 2:13).

Read 1 Corinthians 5 and 2 Corinthians 2. WHEN God forgives, it’s gone! Let it go! If you’ve repented and confesses, all your sins are vanquished. Read Psalms 103:10-12.

“Harboring un-forgiveness against someone else is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.” unknown

YOUR PRAYER: Holy Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus, confessing my sin of unforgiveness, of being merciless to others. LORD, I am the depraved, wicked, and evil-hearted person who needs You most. Please have mercy upon me for my sin, take away the stony places in this heart and grant this heart to be an heart of flesh. The root of the matter is in me. No one needs You more than I do. I love You dear LORD Jesus and thank You for kindly, undeservingly showing mercy upon my soul. Change me now for Your eternal glory and please use me to help others. In the name of Jesus Christ.

The LORD Lift Up His Countenance Upon Thee, and Give Thee Peace [podcast]

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:3-7

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26
