Jesus Christ is the “Almighty” God of all that is, the “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.”

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

Everything begins and ends with God. He’s never lost – and never will. Even His crucifixion was a win. In fact, Satan regretted doing this because it was the greatest win in history – because He was then buried and raised again from the dead (1 Corinthians 2:8; Colossians 2:14-17).

Satan uses ignorance to keep the world’s people blinded from seeing the truth of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). But God sent His only begotten Son to bless us – to bless you!

The knowledge of God, straight from His own holy, divine mouth, recorded in Holy Scripture, is essential for the victory He has preordained that your walk in!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6

Jesus came “TO BLESS YOU”

“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, SENT HIM TO BLESS YOU, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.” Acts 3:26

Heaven’s KING came and conquered the first sinner in history – Satan!

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

Because they are without Christ, most of this fallen world’s population is under a blanket of darkness that Christ alone can remove (2 Corinthians 4:4).

Jesus is the Light in this dark world.

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

Know your enemy!

Jesus told us that the devil is a liar, and the father of all lies – and that his evil mission is to steal, to kill, and to destroy all that is of God, all that is good (John 8:44; 10:10).

Satan lost. He was cast from Heaven. He’s the ultimate loser and so are those who follow him. Lies. JESUS IS LORD, GOD, CREATOR, SAVIOR, and JUDGE. Jesus says “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” (Luke 10:18)

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

Let us know what God’s Word tells us of Himself and our enemy, lest he gain a strategic advantage over us.

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11

Do we want Satan positioned powerfully over us?

All who lack the knowledge of God, given us in His Word, will be put in and kept in bondage and ultimately destroyed.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…” Hosea 4:6

Those who are born again and presently abiding in Christ, are “more than conquerors” through Christ.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37

“Greater” is Jesus Christ in us than our enemy who is in this world seeking to deceive and destroy us.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

We are bombarded with evil, sin, every day in this fallen world. But where did this all come from? What are the origins of these evils?

The whole realm of evil, of sin and it’s dismal effects, is grounded in Satan. The Devil enticed, tempted the first man and woman who took the bait and sinned against God and were consequently separated from their Maker who is holy (Genesis 3). In short, this is how sin, how evil entered into the world.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?” Isaiah 14:12-17

“Lucifer” appears only once in God’s Word and it’s referring to what Satan was called when he was still in Heaven, still in God’s grace. “Lucifer” means light bearer.

Lucifer and Satan are the same created angel of God. Lucifer was his name before he was ejected from Heaven for his iniquity. Satan, the Devil, etc. are what he’s called after he was cast down to the earth.

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” Revelation 12:7-12

In Ezekiel 28 below, we see the law of double reference where an earthly king is spoken of (Tyrus) and yet this is also and perhaps a revelation of Satan, the enemy of God and all souls.

“Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.” Ezekiel 28:11-19

“Ezekiel 28:13: In Eden – In the midst of all delights. The workmanship – Now the prophet notes their joys, musick, and songs, both to loud, and to softer musick, as the lute, and tabret in the day of their kings coronation, and all this on instruments of most exquisite make, and of their own artists work; in this they exceeded as in the other. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8

After being sent forth on a mission trip and used mightily of God, Christ’s disciples returned full of joy. Yet, Jesus warned them.

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20

Overcoming the enemy requires submitting to God.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

The LORD avenges us of our enemies only when we submit to Him (James 4:7).

As long as we are not truly submitted to the LORD, Satan is in control of our lives. Memorize James 4:7.

“Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, WHEN the people willingly offered themselves.” Judges 5:2

“Willingly” offering ourselves is spoken of in Romans 12:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

Why Did God Give Us His Word? [podcast]

The 4 Pillar Purposes for the Holy Scriptures

There are 4 reasons detailed in 2 Timothy 3:16 for the Holy Scriptures being given to us by God. Under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, the apostle Paul wrote:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

According to this verse, the Bible, God’s very Word, has been given to the people of God for 4 reasons: Doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Let us take a brief look at these 4 reasons for the written Word so carefully presented here concerning the very purpose of the Bible.

Doctrine – (Gr. DIDASKALIA): that which is taught; teaching, instruction. An individual’s doctrinal body of truth consists of that which he has been taught and holds to be true.

Reproof – (Gr. ELEGMOS): proof, proving, test. As the noble Berean believers demonstrate and John commands, to test every doctrine that comes from the mouth or pen of men, against the holy Standard – the Scriptures. This is, in part, what is being spoken to us by the Holy Spirit in this verse at hand. Therefore, we conclude that we have been given “All scripture” in order to exercise “reproof,” or the testing of men’s doctrines against Holy Writ and to test every notion of belief we currently hold against the divine standard of the written Word which is final divine authority (Acts 17:10-11; 1 John 4:1).

Correction – (Gr. EPANORTHOSIS): a restoration to an upright state or right state. The Scriptures are “given by inspiration of God” to bring correction into our own hearts, and into the hearts of all who heed the divine message (James 1:21-25).

Instruction in Righteousness – (Gr. PAIDEIA): training in righteousness is what is meant here. The Bible is given to train us in the ways of the One who inspired the same. The divinely given Precepts of life can never fail anyone who would search out and do its commands (Isaiah 34:16). All of life’s answers, as pertains to man, are found within its pages (2 Peter 1:3-4; Psalms 119:128a). Millions of godly pilgrims, journeying through this earthly life, has found the perfect divine will and direction by studying the words of Holy Scripture (Psalms 119).

The verse following this monumental 16th verse, v17, also reveals to us another reason for the Scriptures – “That the man of God may be perfect (mature), throughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works.” This maturity will come as a result of the workings of God as we walk with Him. He will teach our hearts His doctrine, His correction, His reproof, and instruct us in righteousness.

In review, what are the 4 reasons that God gave us His Word in written form?

The Bible was written to CHANGE you – TO CORRECT FALSE THINKING – and not to accommodate the lies you believe. Are you washing your mind of every false notion – by daily study of God’s Word, OR are you backslidden? (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 5:26) Repent now and conform to Christ by learning, embracing, adhering to, searching, studying, and obeying His truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17). WHY DID GOD GIVE US HIS WORD? WHAT are the stated 4 reasons God gave us His Word? Do you know this truth, and are you ready to share it with others?

You are obviously saved when you are putting God’s Word as final divine authority of your life and that’s pleasing to the LORD (John 8:47). When we allow God’s Word to correct us, we prove He is authentically the LORD of our lives (2 Timothy 3:16).

SOFT-PEDDLING, HALF-TRUTH preachers are Satan’s agents. No conviction, no cross, no holiness, no repentance, no readiness for the return of Christ, no judgment to come, no hell, no lake of fire! RUNNNNNN

WHY did God give us His Word? It was to establish His truth in and to protect His people from the many deceivers – “them that seduce you.”

“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.” 1 John 2:26

God gave us His Word so that we may be established in him and kept safe from the “Many false prophets” He so often warned us about. He provided His written Word, his tangible revelation, so that we may fear Him (Deuteronomy 4:10), and so we can know Him (John 5:39). As you study Scripture, be on the look out for the many divinely stated reasons our LORD gave us His written Word.

God gave us His Word in written format so they’d be no confusion and also, no excuse on Judgment Day (John 12:48; Romans 2:16; 1 Corinthians 14:33; 2 Timothy 3:16-17, etc.). The Word of God is the basis by which the LORD shall judge each of us.

Oh you all the time hear frauds telling you how they “got therapy” and that “you need therapy” or “counseling.” Yet, they would never say “You need Jesus”, or “you need His Word, to get into His Word.” (2 Timothy 2:15; 3:15-17, etc.)

100% frauds. Antichrists – due to putting something, anything in place of Jesus Christ (1 John 2:18:4:1-3). They refuse to uphold the “HEAD” of His body, from whom alone flows all divine virtue (Colossians 2:18-19). Jesus is the only answer to the core dilemma of mankind – sin. Counseling and therapy from other sinners, rebels, will only increase the curse on the lives of rebels. Repent now you vile enemy of Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:18-19).

“You don’t need anything but Jesus. He can heal all! All these counselors do is keep you focused on yourself! That is already your problem! All anxiety and stress is lack of faith and reliance on self. This is all sin! I know from experience when you truly repent and begin to trust Jesus with your life, you no longer live in worry, fear, anxiety and stress. Proverbs 3: 5-6 ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.'” Karen Cochran

Jesus already paid the full price for you to be whole – spirit, soul, and body! (Isaiah 53:5-6; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 Peter 2:24, etc.) Therefore there’s no need to pay some fraud counselor who is going to take your money but never give you the Word which is the only solution. The “Christian” counselors will mix a few Scriptures from a fake “bible” and and psychobabble. Repent and run. Now.

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:24-25

“All things that pertain unto life and godliness”

“According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3-4

ALL of God’s answers are in HIS Word, His Holy Ghost, and His body (2 Peter 1:3-4). Jesus makes whole, not therapy. Beware of the cheap counterfeit psychobabble. Read Colossians 2:3-10.

“And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:3-10

No one needs psychology to notice and understand the flaws of the fallen man, of fallen in sin mankind. Psychology is a cheap imitation that offers zero solutions. The fathers of modern psychology were all unrepentant and vile and sinfully perverted men, children of satan. Jesus alone can forgive sin and make a man whole (Matthew 9:6; Luke 4:18, etc.). That’s why Heaven’s King came. Every other promise is a lie. The world has no answer for the sin that is the root cause of all of man’s ailments (Genesis 6:5, 12; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 1-3; 6-7, etc.). Jesus saves. Jesus forgives. Jesus makes whole – from the inside out – all the way to the root of the issue! Christ alone is the cure to the cancer of sin!

“2 Corinthians 7: 1 God commands us to cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh. We need to be perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Counseling only feeds the flesh. It tries to reform it and keeps you the victim by saying it’s not your fault it’s all caused by things done to you. Therefore you have no responsibility for yourself. We are to be sanctified through the word of God. John 17: 17, not by some Psycho-Babble. Jesus can make us whole spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23.” Karen Cochran

“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7

The unrepentant will pay big money and endless hours on mere human “counselors.” Rebels will do anything except repent!

The “Christian” counseling industry is a multi-million dollar enterprise and the perpetuators of such are incentivized financially to keep you reliant upon them. 99% of these “counselors” won’t get their prey into God’s Word for themselves. Most of them use fake “bibles.” How gullible can people be, right!

Paul charged Timothy to get into the Word. “YOU do it!”

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

There will be no healing or wholeness until there is real repentance and a daily devouring of God’s Word, denying self, taking up the cross, and follow Jesus (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 107:20; Matthew 6:33; Luke 9:23-24).

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt (the world), and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! (Egypt = the world) 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:1-3

Only Jesus can save, heal, forgive, make whole!

The LORD Himself is the only divine Counselor, the “Wonderful Counselor.”

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Getting Honest is the First Step Toward Total Victory

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Jesus taught us that man’s sin comes out of his “desperately wicked” heart (Jer17:9; Mark 7:20-23).

The devil and his agents have created a million ways to divert us from stopping our lives, getting honest, taking personal responsibility, humbling ourselves, admitting our sins against God, and repenting.

“When David took his sin to God in Psalm 51 he took 100 percent responsibility! He did not blame Bathsheba and did not seek therapy or medications. He took his heart to God. Repented and pleaded with the Lord to forgive and cleanse him. And the Lord restored to him the joy of his salvation. David was truly broken before God.
