“Holy and Without Blemish”

God’s Word tells us that Jesus is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle, one that is holy and without the stain or blemish of sin (Ephesians 5:25-27):

“Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” Revelation 19:7-8

The divine prescription for walking with Jesus and overcoming all sin is the daily cross He commanded us to take up.

“Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mark 8:34-37

One must lose his life in this world which is what true repentance is.

“Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Luke 17:32-33

“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. ” Luke 14:33

—– Jesus came to deliver His people from ALL their sins and anyone practicing sin is actually of the devil, per Holy Scripture (1 John 3:8). This was stated at the announcement of the blessed birth of the Son of God:

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people FROM (not in) their sins.” Matthew 1:21

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:14

“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:19-21

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4

“Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3

Jesus taught that all sin must be harshly and severely dealt with or the result will surely be eternal fire/damnation. Nothing could be clearer than this most evident fact as is revealed in the above passage. Furthermore, Jesus told us that all of the following sinners, violators, will be damned eternally in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8, 27, etc.).

Jesus told us we must get rid of any and all influence of sin or suffer eternal fire:

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. 50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.” Mark 9:43-49

To say Jesus is coming back for a sinful bride is to openly deny Christ by contradicting the whole of His teachings which He gave us personally and through His holy apostles.

Any person who is not confessing and overcoming sin, will not be in Heaven because “the wages of sin is death” (separation from God).” (Romans 6:23) True divine grace never gives license for sin but rather divine enablement to overcome all sin:

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 3 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:11-14

In Revelation 2 and 3 Jesus tells us that only the overcomers among His own people will be with Him in New Jerusalem/Heaven. All others fell away and are like the foolish virgins who did not abide/remain in Christ and did not endure to the end. Therefore they will not be saved:

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22

“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:10-13

God reveals to us that He is “Holy, holy, holy” and therefore will not allow sin in His presence and so any person compromising with sin is separated from Him and will soon hear “Depart from me.” (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8; Matthew 7:21-23)

“Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30

Any person who is making excuse for sinning instead of fasting, confessing, praying, and crying out to God in the daily cross, is fallen away.

Those who make excuse for sin instead of dying to self to overcome it, have fallen away.

“He that covereth (hides, does not confess) his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

“Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30
