Do Your Works Testify that You Worship or Deny Christ?

Are you Fulfilling a New Testament Purpose? Is Your Church?

There nothing transpiring on the earth today more important than the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. Every true remnant saint is involved (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts, etc.). No work on earth is of eternal significance except the work of Christ’s Gospel (Mark 8:38). Are you participating?

When He saved you, your life ended and His glorious life began.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

That’s right, all your personal “rights” are done and over.

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3

Any questions? Is this not exactly what symbolized in baptism? – You are doornail dead and Christ now lives and reigns in and through your whole being.

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:3-4

Let me say here that if you are not hearing this kind of Bible preaching, the cross life, you are sitting under a hireling wolf. This is basic Bible truth friend. Anyone hiding this from you is playing you – is using you for your money and approval (Philippians 3:18-19).

WANT TO SEE WHO’S READY TO MEET JESUS? Hand on the plow! (Luke 9:62) God’s remnant IS, definitively, busy about HIS Great Commission business (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 2:49; 24:47). The counterfeit church is playing games, building earthly kingdoms on sinking sand.

Christ’s Unchanging Great Commission

Any person not living a Great Commission life, is living a wasted life. They are out of the will of God. Read that again.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

“It is our place, in following of our Lord, to continue His teaching until He returns (Matthew 28:18-20).” AB

Do you realize that following Jesus means following what He taught? See Mark 8:38 and John 8:47; 14:15, 21; 1 John 2:4-6. Do you realize that God gave us the record of Christ’s earliest disciples so that we could measure just what is true and what is false in our current day? The book of Acts in particular. What were His first followers doing, before any wolves or false teaching had time to enter in? Here’s a taste and a way to determine who is and who is not in the will of God today, namely those in ministry positions.

“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:42

This is a verse of holy truth to be memorized. It’s very telling. These true disciples of Jesus were obeying His command to “teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

Do we realize that only those obeying what Jesus taught are actually following Him?

Are you doing the Great Commission Jesus commanded OR, are you doing your own thing? It’s one or the other friend. Personally, in light of this truth, I like to begin my days with a prayer something like this…

PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to use me today for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Making a Difference”

Am I “making a difference” is a good question to ask ourselves. Did you realize that this phrase appears in God’s Word? Watch the context closely okay:

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, MAKING A DIFFERENCE: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 20-23

According to this passage, to be “making a difference” for God’s glory and not wasting our lives, we must be built up in the power of the Holy Ghost (v20), to keep ourselves full of God’s love (v21), to not be self-righteous but rather be “looking for the mercy of our LORD,” (v21) to have compassion (v22), to make a difference, to preach the judgment of hell to come in the fear of God (v23), and to keep our blood washed garments (robes of His righteousness) “unspotted.” (v23)

But how can I make a difference one might ask. Can you smile and tell someone Jesus died for our sins? Can you tell someone how Christ has made a difference in your life? Can you hand out a Gospel literature so blessed souls can find their way home to Jesus? What are you doing to make a difference for Christ in the lives of others?

ARE YOU INVOLVED IN GOD’S “BUSINESS” OR MAN’S? ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME AND THE LORD’S TIME?  Child of God, do you know what God’s “business” is? The LORD calls His true children to be about HIS “business” and what is HIS “business” as opposed to sinful man’s undertakings? (Luke 2:49) We claim to be following Jesus and so it is only fair that we find out what Jesus says the “Father’s business” is, right? (Luke 2:49) Jesus says He came “to seek and to save that which was lost,” that is, to save them from sin and “eternal damnation.” (Mark 3:29; Luke 19:10; 1 Timothy 1:15) What could be more plain? Those who are truly following Christ, and the only ones that are overcoming and will escape hell, are busy preaching/communicating and teaching His Word which holds the only answer to man’s dilemma – sin. Fighting cancer, promoting politicians, rescuing dogs, etc., is not what God calls us to and such will never bring root deliverance or the escape from sin and the lake of fire. That is actually luciferic dominionism which is the vain attempt to preserve this fallen world simply and selfishly to make this temporary home a better dwelling place. Such is utter futility and sin against the Almighty. God is going to renovate and make all things new but first He will allow them to be burned up (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3). To put money, effort, time, and energies into anything but His blessed Gospel is brazen rebellion against the Savior who came and bled on that cross, rose again, and commanded His children to go and spread His Word. It’s time to repent and return to the LORD before it’s too late.

Don’t you know that Satan, the enemy of all souls, rejoices every time a professing Christian gives money, time, or energy to “false burdens” that are not the “Father’s business”?

The ONLY “business” of the true body of Christ is Jesus’ “business”– that of worshiping the LORD together, teaching God’s Word, and winning lost souls to Jesus! In fact, the simplest fruit to judge any person by is by their works. Are they “about” the “Father’s business” or some (any) other business?

Is it not hypocrisy to claim to be Christians and not follow Christ? That is, not follow what mandate He gave to His people to go teach His Word and preach His Good News?

ANY individual or group or local church not doing what Jesus commanded, namely the Great Commission, is not fulfilling a New Testament purpose and is apostate! I’m not talking about the pastor winning souls from the pulpit either. That’s good but he is to be teaching those he leads to do “the work of the ministry.” Read Ephesians 4:11-14 for the job description of all under-shepherds.

The work of God’s true people is NOT politics but rather the Great Commission. This is rendering obedience to Christ. The work of the true disciple is not to help a mere man build his own vision or church business but rather to spread the seed of the Word of God in evangelizing the lost souls of men and by teaching other believers the full-counsel of God’s Word. Are YOU about the Father’s business or has Satan derailed you? What shall you answer to Him on that final Day of reckoning? How shall you answer Him if you squandered the time He gave you in this brief life on temporal things that have no matter in the kingdom of God? Will you hear from Him “Enter thou my good and faithful servant!”? Or, “Depart from me!”?

Jesus told His very own people that in order for them to be with Him in eternity, they were required to overcome and keep His works to the end of their lives.

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” Revelation 2:26

Someone may ask: “But I thought I was ‘once saved always saved’ and that my works don’t matter and that by obeying God then I am trying to work my way to Heaven.”

This is the exact thing millions of deceived people have been taught in the apostate evangelical church world in America. Millions have been sold a bag of goods (a false gospel).

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46

Let’s talk about God’s Word and allow the Almighty to speak for Himself. Deal?

One element we must beware of and detach from all involvement with, is trying to save this sinful, failing world. We should beware of movements and ministries like patriotism in trying to preserve or save America. Saving America or trying to make this sinful world a better place is not the Great Commission command Jesus gave us.

Any ministry that is not all about teaching the pure Word and reaching lost souls, is not fulfilling a New Testament purpose and is in fact in rebellion. God forbid that we touch or condone or further the cause of any such false ministry! Here’s what Jesus’ followers are all about, without fail – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20) It’s real simple: Those who follow Christ obey Christ and are all about Christ and not swept away with causes that do not pertain to Christ who died and rose again to save lost souls from sin and eternal damnation! NOTHING else really matters no matter how sympathetic the cause is mean to seem. Breast cancer? NO! Sin is the cancer Jesus bled to heal! Those who name the name of Christ should immediately repent of the sin of neglecting Christ’s work and putting resources into the worlds futile help programs. They are futile and totally in vain! If we are going to feed the poor, let’s do it and give them the Gospel, the only healing balm for their eternal souls!

Consider the words/teaching of Jesus:

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38

Beloved saints, what does it matter if we feed the poor and clothe the naked and yet don’t give them the soul-saving Word of the Gospel? Is God glorified? No! So, that person eats well, forgoes cancer, then dies and goes to the fires of eternal damnation. What a farce and Satan loves it!

Can anyone argue with the truth of this simple statement?

“We should be winning Souls to Jesus, the world is gonna burn with fire. I can understand standing in the gap and praying for our kings and nation.  Moses did that for Israel a few times and we are commanded to do so and yet many go to an extreme that makes us wonder why they don’t fight that way for God and simply do what Jesus sent us to do in His Great Commission command.” Luciano P. Pisco

We better repent and “touch not” any “unclean” organization or program that is not giving the healing balm of God’s holy truth. The LORD says we are His very enemies if we dare do such by helping the “ungodly”:

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Never join a cause or enter into any alliance that does not have Jesus and His blessed and everlasting Gospel at its heart.

“Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” 2 Chronicles 19:2

The “ungodly” are revealed clearly “by their fruits” – their alliances, alignments, their focus and works (Matthew 7:16, 20). If their focus is on “earthly things,” they are the very “enemies of the cross of Christ.” (Philippians 3:18-21) Those who are truly Christ’s sheep are looking unto JESUS who is the very author and finisher of their faith … Their “conversation (focus, way of life) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 3:20)

False Prophets lead people to “false burdens” that do not pertain directly to being born again and spending eternity with Christ.

“Thy (false) prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity (deliver them from bondage); but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.” Lamentations 2:14

Lamentation 2:14 actually defines who false prophets are. Look closely at that verse and commit it to memory. Use that truth to discern who is a wolf and who is true to Christ.

For this rebellion, God was going to banish His people. That’s what “causes of banishment”means here. God is going to judge all who go astray from Him and His cause!

“false burden” is one that is amiss from the aim of the LORD as stated in His Word (Lamentations 2:14).  Examples of “false burdens” that lure the emotions of millions today:

  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Animal (beast) rights and causes
  • Cancer causes
  • “Mission trips” where the mission of Christ to save souls from sin and hell is not preached
  • Susan G Komen Foundation of deceit and death to children
  • Planned Parenthood or Planned MURDERhood

Jesus says to leave those things that do not pertain to His kingdom to the world:

“And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:59-62

What cause are you supporting, promoting? is it the Gospel? Some people who vainly claim to love Jesus, have and show more sympathy toward beasts (animals) than they do human beings, the highest form of God’s creation. Astounding hypocrisy!

Of the focus of the Gospel of Jesus, Rich Monson writes:

“Pastors are called to be given over to the Word and prayer to equip the body for the work of ministry and this is to be done to the glory of God (Ephesians 4:11-14). Teaching the Word that we may be conformed to the image of Christ and that we may go out and win the lost. All else in contrast falls far far under the shadow of these two eternal priorities. At any cost gett’m saved, gett’m conformed to Jesus. All else works to these ends, that God be glorified in it all.

Also good to remember what the Lord has said regarding false prophets and teachers in Deuteronomy 13:1-5, 18:19-22. Ezekiel 13:3, Isaiah 30:9-10, Jer 14:14, 23:14-16, :25-26, Mic 3:11, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, 2 Timothy 4:3-5, 2 Peter 2:1-3, Jude. So much the Lord has given us in His grace, so much so that the Church, true believers are absolutely without excuse.”

Read this closely: “For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that GO A WHORING from thee. 28But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works (namely the work of Christ’s redemption).” Psalms 73:27-28

Teaching and demonstrating or doing the truth is so very important and is the whole difference. So many in leadership today present much truth but they put their monies and focus where their hearts are – in this fleeting, sinful world. Many dare to spend more resources/monies on temporal buildings, light bills, and even “excess” than on teaching God’s Word to all and winning lost souls. This is what Jesus commanded and if we truly know Him that’s what we are all about (Matthew 28:18-20). Those who aren’t about what Jesus told us to do are not of Him – period.

Of these last days and the essential of obeying Christ alone, Gwendolyn Wehage writes:

“Political issues have caused us to think that a man can save our nation. We are falling off the cliff as a nation and only a miracle of God and the repentance of the people could save this nation. I don’t see that happening because we are in the last days, and God said that in the last days men would lack natural affection, haters of good, lovers of evil, worshipers of creation rather than the Creator. In the last days they would have no shame in their evil deeds. Romans 3:18 Jeremiah 6:15 they no longer have shame about their evil deeds. 2 Timothy 3, the people will be lovers of themselves, boastful, unloving, lovers of money, unthankful, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, disrespectful to parents, brutal and despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, hauty, having a form of godliness without understanding what it is. These passages describe how our country and the whole world is like right now. There is not turning back, these are the perilous times God spoke of in 2 Timothy. Our duty is to love Christ, obey Him and stand firm when giving out the gospel.”

Are those who parade with pink in the streets and give money to the sinful world system to help physical and mental ailments following Jesus? No! They are apostate. Those who follow Christ and are therefore the only saved souls, obey Christ and Christ said go preach HIS blessed Gospel and Go teach men all the things HE taught (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15).

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not HIS commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4

You see, many who claim to be saved have all the wherewithal, all the money, all the energy and all the resources available to them to help useless causes for sin-sick humans and pets and none to serve Jesus by doing what He commanded! That’s the fruit of their lives and it clearly testifies to their lost, hell bound condition.

“In Works they Deny Him”

“And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” Luke 16:15

If we are following Jesus – truly – then we are about the “FATHER’s business” and not the unregenerate world’s business! To make themselves feel good for a moment, the lost souls of this world jump into causes such as the Susan G Komen Foundation or Habitat for Humanity. Yet neither of these groups preaches Christ. The Komen Foundation actually gives money to Planned Parenthood to murder precious babies in cold blood. So, no Christian would ever support such an atrocity.

Jesus said: “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist (knew) ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” Luke 2:49

The LORD’s business is His body’s business and anyone not involved in Christ’s business is none of His.

When others seek out and find us, they find those who are about SOMEBODY’s business. Whose? The worlds or the LORD’s? This is the crystal clear issue that reveals who is of God and who isn’t. What a person claims means nothing if it doesn’t manifest in good works or fruit. The Bible teaches that our works plainly testify to whom we are serving.

To that one who would become convicted and cry “But this is lordship salvation,” I would say “Yes, Jesus is the LORD and this is what His Word teaches!” Dare you argue with the very Son of God? Why not simply obey and learn of Him?

Not being about the “Father’s business” is clear proof that we are denying Christ. Really? Yes, read this:

“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” Titus 1:16

This verse means that though many say they know Jesus, their lack of good works reveal that they do not know Him but rather deny Him who bled for their many sins.

Works don’t save but they are the fruit of who we are truly loving and trusting! The Bible says that even a child is known by what he DOES:

“Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.” Proverbs 20:11

Let this sink in saints …. “In WORKS they Deny Him.” (Titus 1:16)

To deny Christ the right to reign in our lives is to deny Christ. Without fail, when Jesus is reigning in our personal lives, His Gospel truth is flowing freely from our lives.

“Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: 9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8-9

If a person claims to be saved and that person is not learning to lose his life, that person is misled. Paul wrote that “in works” (that testify to saving faith) they deny Christ (Titus 1:16).

Most who call themselves Christians have been misled by the epidemic of wolves who fill pulpits and books and the media with their false gospel message. These men refuse to preach what Jesus said and/or they carefully select and dodge the things in the Gospel that keep people loyal to their own self-serving cause.

When one lays down his life, everything becomes of the LORD and not of self. Losing one’s life is truly what saving faith is:

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 16:24-25

Think about this: If one’s life is all about them, then that’s exactly whom they are serving and we know that they can’t save themselves, having rejected the only Savior.

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15

I must relinquish control of the reigns of my life and will to the One who is worthy of all my praise as long as He gives me the breath of life. This is what saving faith always does. Do I possess saving faith? If so, I have and am giving my life over to Him daily. He’s reigning in me, not me.

Do we not have this thing called life all wrong? Do we not need a complete transformation of thought? LORD, please have mercy upon us and change us. Amen.

“The One who is the Highest came to become the lowest. We who are the lowest, seek to be the highest.” unknown

Friend, there are no shortcuts – This is the true path to blessedness with God – putting Him first by giving Him and His people more of me daily. In fact, if I am not growing to “give” or serve more, I am not growing as a disciple of my LORD. The true measure of spiritual growth is seen in how much we give of ourselves to God and others.

To the degree I am serving, my spirituality can be measured.

“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matthew 23:11

My humility is the true measure of my spirituality and whether or not I truly know the One who came and humbled Himself even unto death for the redemption of my undeserving soul (Philippians 2:3-10).

“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” Luke 19:27

This coincides with all that Jesus says about lordship and is contrasted with those who have a mere “form of godliness” but refuse to repent/surrender and come under the power/authority of Christ (2 Timothy 3:5).

Measuring by the “Fruits”

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:20

In interpreting Scripture with Scripture, we can conclude that the “fruits” Jesus speaks of here pertain to:

  • Doctrine (Romans 6:16-17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Doings/works (Proverbs 20:11; Titus 1:16; James 2)
  • Direction (Romans 8:14; Luke 2:49; Philippians 3:17-21)
  • Disposition (Galatians 5:22-23)

What fruit is there to be seen in your personal life?

Are you learning and obeying “sound doctrine”?

Do your doings or works manifestly testify to a repentant heart?

Are you about the Father’s business?

Is your life characterized by “love, joy, peace …”

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

Those who love, worship, fear, and care about Jesus do the work Jesus sent us to do. Those who don’t do His work clearly manifest their rebellious hearts.

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10

Jesus came to win souls. In fact, His Word tell us:

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

A close friend was invited to go feed the homeless. He grabbed a bunch of Gospel tracts and was asked by another worker if he was going pass them out to the homeless they were going to feed. To this he replied:

“Yes, I’m excited to get these tracts out to these precious lost souls. There’s no absolutely no value whatsoever in this activity of making sandwiches for people if that’s all we do.” Tim

A work to help others that does not include giving them the Gospel of Jesus is nothing more than a humanistic endeavor.

“So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. 8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” Ezekiel 33:7-9

Warning people that if they die in their sins, having rejected Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity in hell, is an integral part of the original Gospel (Mark 16:16; Luke 13:3, 5; 2 Corinthians 2:16). So, warning the lost of the divine wrath to come is what the true Gospel does. In fact, the apostle Paul stated:

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.” 2 Corinthians 5:11

Prayer of Repentance: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your only begotten Son for my sins and the sins of the whole world. Please forgive me for the sin of neglecting Your Gospel and for allowing myself to be misled by hirelings who do not fear You. Quicken my spirit in Thy Holy fear dear LORD and cause my life to glorify You alone. Fill me afresh with Your precious Holy Ghost and take over my life. From this moment forward I will serve and follow You LORD Jesus. Amen.

Rightly Dividing The Word of Truth

How To Apprehend the Truth About Eternal Security – Every Time

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

In this important post we are going to visit a few Bible verses and doctrines as examples of how we have the opportunity to either rightly divide or to have a distorted understanding in the things of Christ’s kingdom. The apprehension of truth is all-important to the LORD (Prov. 2:1-22).

Regrettably it is rare to find someone who has and is taking time to truly, personally study God’s Word for themselves and actually knows WHY they believe WHAT they believe. They are sound in the faith, grounded in biblical truth. As is evidenced by the dialogues today, so very many insist they know the truth when they’ve never personally, thoroughly, honestly studied God’s Word for themselves (2 Timothy 2:15). All they’ve done is follow false teachers and are now regurgitating those lies on others. They are false teachers and hell bound if they don’t repent (2 Peter 2:1-3).

It’s very dangerous to go to seed on a certain truth to the exclusion of the whole of Scripture. Such always results in error.

Twisting Scripture, truth is fueled by the enemy of souls who is the first on record to do so as he misled the man and the woman in the Garden, causing their fall (Genesis 3). Did not Satan also tempted Christ using Scripture out of context? (Luke 4)

“As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (pervert, twist, corrupt), as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” 2 Peter 3:16

“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:17

Here’s the Greek word and definition for the word “corrupt” used here in the above verse of Scripture:

kapēleuō
kap-ale-yoo’-o
From κάπηλος kapēlos (a huckster); to retail, that is, (by implication) to adulterate (figuratively): – corrupt.

It’s interesting that included in this definition is the word “retail.” Peter speaks of those false leaders who would “make merchandise of you.” (2 Peter 2:1-3)This refers to ungodly men misleading their audiences with half-truths in order to buy them wholesale and sell them retail as the saying goes – to make dollars signs of the people for their own self-serving, greedy purposes.

WHY DO WE BELIEVE WHAT WE BELIEVE? DOES your basis for believing something hold biblical water? What is your basis, the reason you believe the doctrine you currently espouse? Is it 100% biblically air tight? If not, why not ditch it, be corrected, and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4b; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:15-17, etc.). Are you teachable? Are you correctable? Have we made an idol out of what we believe? Is Christ and the Bible truly top shelf or something else? Can we say with Paul “Let GOD be true and EVERY man a liar”, beginning with ourselves? (Romans 3:4)

Example of Doctrinal Corruption

Our example of misusing Scripture, taking it out of context, will address the un-conditional eternal security teaching we also know as “once saved always saved” or “eternal security.”

Many OSAS (once saved always saved) proponents seek to isolate John 3:16 as if it were more inspired than the rest of Scripture. This may be due to the fact that certain denominations have used it every Sunday morning for decades to win souls. These OSAS defendants get shook up when other Bible verses and texts are brought into the picture, because they have never been introduced to the whole counsel of God by their leaders. Their leaders simply do not truly embrace the truth that “All scripture” (not just some) has been God-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16).The apostle Paul was a complete full-counsel teacher of God’s truth (Acts 20:20, 27). He held nothing back that was profitable for the LORD’s people. The Psalmist was a full-counsel believer. Are we?

“Therefore I esteem ALL thy precepts concerning ALL things to be right; and I hate every false way.” Psalms 119:128

Personally, I wonder why some people are so insecure about what else Jesus stated about eternal life and the other things the Holy Spirit intentionally had recorded and canonized as divine and eternal truth in the Bible. Didn’t He tell us that “great peace” accompanied the embracing of His Word?

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalms 119:165

Why would any true believer shun any part of God’s Word? Could the fear of previously unknown Scripture stem from an incomplete personal knowledge of the whole of the Word of God? Have some stopped at John 3:16 and consequently possess a limiting and skewed view of the LORD and His truth due to lack of knowledge of the Word? Could it be that many are not being encouraged to study and know the whole of the written Word?

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous Judgments endureth for ever.” Psalms 119:160

Why would any believer ever be resistant to any portion of Holy Scripture? What would this indicate one is afraid of? Why would any true disciple of Jesus ever be afraid of something else from the Bible being revealed to their hearts, even if it violates what that person has previously been taught? In many evangelical circles, verses like John 3:16 have been presented to the exclusion of the whole counsel of Scripture. Even when John 3:16 is broken down, it clearly proves that the word “believeth” pertains to those who are presently trusting in Christ and not just a one-time belief. To those who are currently believing, eternal life is promised, and not to the one who once believed and was saved and yet is not presently walking with God. 1 Corinthians 15:2 says:

“By which also ye are saved, IF ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:2

Note the phrase “unless ye have believed in vain.” The Holy Spirit is saying here that anyone who has believed and been saved, yet is not “keeping in memory” the Gospel of Christ, is not saved, but rather their initial saving faith is counted to be “vain.” “In vain” means that it has no power to save them now due to their own personal decision to rid their heart “memory” of what they had previously “believed.” Initial saving faith has no effect on the present if one stops walking in the obedient faith that initially accessed God’s grace (Rom. 5:1-2). Saving faith must remain in one’s heart in order for him to continue to receive the saving grace of God and be wholly cleansed by the blood of Christ, without which no man will see God (1 Jn. 1:7-9; Heb. 12:14).

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth (remains, continues) not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” 2 John 9

Looking only at John 3:16, to the exclusion of the whole of Scripture, in itself violates biblical interpretation laws (Isa. 28:9-10, 13; 1 Cor. 2:13). The same God who spoke John 3:16 spoke all that is in Holy Scripture which when taken collectively, clarifies itself. “All Scripture” has been given by the same one LORD God and must be considered as a whole in order to apprehend and rightly divide truth and avoid error (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16).

Honest Interpretation, Apprehension of Truth

The true disciple of Jesus searches, studies, and considers, puts together “ALL scripture” in order to be correctly “taught of God.” (2 Timothy 3:16; John 6:45)And He lets the truth lead wherever it goes by divine design, holding on to no preconceived notions, philosophies, or doctrines of men and devils.

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing (putting together) spiritual things with spiritual.” 1 Corinthians 2:13

“Comparing spiritual things with spiritual” – in other words, we put together, we collate what we know to be divine truth – the written Word – by putting Scripture upon Scripture in order to learn and discern the perfect divine doctrine, mind of Christ, and will of God.

Beware of Being the “Back it Up” Bubbas

Personally studying God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation, organically, is ultra-important. | The Importance of Personal, Organic Bible Study

To “back up” a belief with Scripture seems to really mean: “I believe ABC doctrine and I’m hell bent on finding Bible verses to prove it!” In other words someone like this doesn’t really care what the whole of Scripture teaches as much as they care to hold on to some pet doctrine (it’s usually something to justify their sin such as the falsehood of eternal security).

Some put forth their subjective beliefs and defend those beliefs by saying “I can back everything up with scripture.” Satan can too as we see him do when tempting Jesus (Luke 4). The devil used Scripture out of context as many today do. Are we merely backing up what WE say and what WE currently believe with Scripture or are we simply reading and diligently studying the whole counsel of Holy Scripture and letting GOD speak for Himself as we “compare spiritual things (Scripture, known truth) with spiritual things”? (1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 2:15) Big difference. Think about that. Men and devils can deceitfully make the Bible say anything THEY want it to say but that doesn’t make it biblically sound and true. We must beware of our own tendency to espouse and hold on to philosophies, notions, and doctrines that do not line up with the whole counsel of God’s Word and we must be corrected (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We must honestly examine our own selves to see WHY we believe WHAT we currently believe. Discernment, “rightly dividing the word of truth” seem to be concretely connected to searching the Scriptures as we see with the Bereans who tested Paul and all that he taught, right? (2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:10-11) Lots of people who talk about discernment trust their own subjective discernment instead of letting the written WORD be their two edged sword of discernment (Hebrews 4:12). Many believe they are discerning correctly and yet aren’t daily, diligently being grounded in the written Word, which God will never contradict (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).

The Words of Jesus

Here is a sampling of Scripture truth spoken by the Son of God, which clearly reveals a conditional eternal security:

Matthew 10:22 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

Revelation 2:10-11 “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”

Revelation 3:5 “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” (written to the Church)

Matthew 10:32-33 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

Luke 8:12-13 “Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.”

Luke 13:24 “Strive (Greek – Agonize) to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

Building a thorough theological understanding cannot be done with one or two verses, especially when all of the words of those particular isolated texts are not considered, much less the whole of Scripture. This is actually how cultic groups get started – on a verse which is extracted and isolated from the whole of the Word of God. The Bible is perfectly harmonious (in concert) with no contradiction. Each verse must be taken in light of its surrounding text and all of Holy Scripture. Prayerful study of God’s Word that seeks to understand divine truth must be done with the whole counsel of God being observed – “precept upon precept; line upon line.” (Isa. 28:10; Acts 17:10-11, 20:20, 27)

Jesus spoke of those who have “an honest and good heart” when it comes to hearing the Word of God (Lk. 8:15). Do you have “an honest and good heart” in your personal approach toward God and His Word?

“But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, KEEP IT, and bring forth fruit WITH PATIENCE (continuance).” Luke 8:15

The God of order (1 Cor. 14:40), who is perfect and not the “author of confusion”, has set up a simple system to protect His people from being deceived (1 Cor. 14:33). If one verse or text of Scripture seems to say one thing, yet violates other clearly revealed Scriptural truth, it must be interpreted in light of the clearly revealed Scriptural truth, as a whole. The LORD God cannot contradict Himself.

“ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine…” 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible has built-in interpretation laws which must be followed if one is to apprehend divine truth in the context the Author intended. It is important to hear and understand this. First, one must know the Author of the Holy Scriptures to properly understand them. Jesus stated:

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you…Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.” John 14:26; 16:13

Then, one must collate (compound, put together) Scripture with Scripture in order to comprehend divine truth: “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept MUST be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” (Isaiah 28:9-10)

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing (to compound; put together) spiritual things with spiritual.” (1 Corinthians 2:13) Note the method that the Holy Spirit uses to teach us: “the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing (compounding; putting together) spiritual things with spiritual.” This refers to collating Scripture upon Scripture, that is, the line upon line stacking and learning of Holy Scripture. This method assures the establishing and rightly dividing of truth. Biblical truth must be placed upon biblical truth (collated – line upon line) in order to apprehend and understand the things of God. Truth must be compounded, that is, put together or compared with the whole. It is all-important for the one who desires to guard his heart against deception to cross-reference verses in his Bible. Both Jesus and the apostle Paul gave us this key to knowing the truth:

“But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” Matthew 18:16

“This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” 2 Corinthians 13:1

Each inspired Bible text is to be enjoined with the full-counsel of holy Writ. All individual scriptures must be interpreted in light of the whole of the Word of God.

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Let us cease weighing in, speaking out on topics we have no biblical understanding on – because we’ve not thoroughly studied that topic in God’s Word. You do not yet qualify to give input until you have fully studied all God’s says on a given topic. Your ridiculous opinion and human reasoning are rebellion and so are mine! Time to shut it! Study!

“He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly (foolishness) and shame unto him.” Proverbs 18:13

There are many people who act like they are “experts” on certain topics who are clueless….. It’s one thing to simply not know something. It is a completely different thing to argue your point when shown Scripture that contradicts it! The Bible says such a person is a fool to do so (Proverbs 18:13).

Those who are “of God” put God’s Word first and those who are “NOT of God” put their own opinion or human reasoning or anything else first, proving they are lost souls. They peddle “another gospel” and are “accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-8) Listen closely to Jesus:

“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:47

Simply put, we should always interpret Scripture with Scripture. Who is it that “should not perish, but have everlasting life”? The ones who are believing – presently.

According to the Bible, to stop believing is to stop being justified by God. Can a true Christian stop believing? If he does stop believing, is he still justified?

“Now the just shall live (continuously) by faith: but if ANY man draw back (this is obviously possible), my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (eternal destruction); but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:38-39

Matthew 24:13 “But he that shall ENDURE unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Mark 13:13 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall ENDURE unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Hebrews 3:6 “But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, IF we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”

Hebrews 3:14 “For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”

Hebrews 6:11 “And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:”

Revelation 2:26 “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“By which also ye are saved, IF ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:2

“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” Proverbs 14:26-27

    • “Strong confidence”
    • “A place of refuge”
    • “A fountain of life”

Fearing God

“The fear of the Lord is clean.” (Ps. 19:9) It is wisdom. It is right. It is holy. It is just. It is fair. Fearing God to obedience is the only thing that will bring divine peace. The fear of the LORD will keep our feet held fast on the narrow path that leads to life with the “few.” Note here that “strong confidence”, “a place of refuge”, and “a fountain of life” are exclusively promised to those who possess “The fear of the Lord.” Again, these are the 3 things promised to those who fear God.

Humbly Bowing Down Brings us to Study and Know His Word for Ourselves Lest We be “Destroyed for Lack of Knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

“Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Proverbs 22:17-21

What we choose to believe directly affects how we live. What we belief determines our future – our destiny. Knowing God and rightly deciphering His truth is an all-important undertaking in the keeping of one’s soul before the LORD. Lack of knowledge is a deliberate choice as is knowing His Word. Misunderstanding God, by not choosing to fervently gain the understanding of His Word, can have eternal consequences. For example, the Scriptures above have revealed that the ultra popular doctrine of “once saved, always saved” (OSAS) is a very misleading lie at best. The myth of OSAS robs from the believer the fear of God. This lie of lawlessness fosters rebellion and gives way to sin, the enemy, delusion, and disobedience. This is exactly what it did the first time it was told – by Satan. Adam and Eve proceeded to sin against God when they believed this lie of the ages (Gen. 2:17; 3:4). It is the “ye shall not surely die” lie (Gen. 3:4).

Beloved, we must avoid this error at all cost. It could cost one his eternal soul. Here is another verse the OSAS proponents have purposely excluded from their thinking: Jesus stated that “In your patience (endurance) possess ye your souls.” (Lk. 21:19) The Greek word for “patience” is HUPOMONE which is defined in the Strong’s Concordance as “cheerful (or hopeful) endurance, constancy:-enduring, patience, patient continuance (waiting).” The doctrinal examples used in this chapter reveal the danger of not including the whole of Scripture when drawing conclusion on any doctrine. In summation, those who believe and teach OSAS fail to acknowledge the plethora of Biblical texts which clearly state man’s responsibility before God and that He has designed that His salvation grace is contingent upon such. OSAS proponents seem only to acknowledge God’s grace in saving men, but never the truth that men have free moral agency. The Bible teaches us that men have a divinely-granted free will to exercise – for or against the LORD. God is perfect and has done His part through Christ and left the appropriation of His salvation up to the individual (Joshua 24:15; Deut. 30:19; Isaiah 1:19-20; Jn. 1:12; 3:16, 36; Rom. 11:19-23).

John 6:66 “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”

Luke 8:13 “They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.”

Ezekiel 33:12-13 “Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.”

Remember the Old and New Testament verses about the just LIVING by faith? This truth is found in Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38. Here is yet another text which clearly reveals the need to keep on believing to the end – to keep on clinging to the Lord. There are many Bible verses revealing this truth.

A Peek Into Greek

Let’s look at John 3:16 along with some other biblical texts. I am going to pull out my Textus Receptus Greek Interlinear Bible (The Received Text is the real Word of God, from which the King James Bible was translated). The literal Greek reads: Note the phrase “that everyone believing into Him should not perish.” The Greek word translated “believing” is a present participle – used as a verb; “everyone believing (currently) in Him”, not everyone who has at one time in the past believed. This is confirmed by many other clear texts. Here is but one: In the literal Greek rendering above, notice the term “believing into.” The Greek word for “into” is EIS (pronounced “ice”) which is defined in the Strong’s Concordance (1519) as such: EIS – to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time or (fig.) purpose (result, etc.); throughout, till, to (be, the end, -ward), (here), until (to-)ward. Often used in composition with the same general import, but only with verbs (etc.) expressing motion (literally or figuratively). The John 3:16 promise (eternal life) is not made so much to the one who has once believed, but to the ones who have and are presently believing. Yes, eternal life is eternal, yet the possession of it can be forfeited if the person who once believed upon Christ to salvation neglects His walk with God and then does “cast off their first faith.” (1 Tim. 5:12) See also Luke 8:13; Col. 1:23; Heb. 2:3; 3:6, 12-14; 10:26-39.

Let us cease arguing about the things of God when you don’t THOROUGHLY KNOW HIS WORD. You are a novice (IF you are truly saved) and have no business arguing doctrine.

Christ Saved Katherine! Mexico Mission Part 27

UPDATE: Thank you for your praying for fruitfulness in the work of our LORD. The new ministry laptop is in and is mostly set up. Your prayers and support are vital as “WE are labourers TOGETHER with God” (1 Corinthians 3:9).

WE the body of Christ, are a separate entity from the world (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). We are here on earth for but a short time more – saved and sent to do Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 9:35-38; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; John 4:34-38). Jesus foretold that these final days before His return would be tumultuous. And to “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1).

Upon being exhorted and reminded that when Jesus saved him, he was deciding to die to self and let Jesus live and reign in his life ….. then he was reminded of the symbolism and significance of his water baptism – death, burial, resurrection (Romans 6). To this our brother Justin replied:

“I will never forget my baptism. I do try to be humbled daily, and life gives endless opportunities. I am having plenty here, but feel the presence of God, very subtle, guiding me to change my ways and my sense of control.” Justin

Your prayer for brother Justin to “stand perfect and complete in all the will of God” will be heard and answered by our LORD (Colossians 4:12).

Communicating The Gospel in Spanish

EACH WEEK a strong, loving message from the Word of God is sent out to to dozens of beloved souls here in Mexico via text. I have connected in person with each one of them, ministering God’s Word to each soul. Some are saved, some not. Just sent a message out tonight and am receiving responses as usual, including this one below from a beloved man named Julio who is not yet saved. Please lift him in prayer.

“I am interested in knowing God and reading the Bible.” Julio

This is VERY common here. I just texted Julio the Born Again book PDF. Boom.

If you want your life to count for the LORD, to the highest degree of glory and fruitfulness to Jesus, you may wish to stop your life today and ask the LORD to prepare and place you where it best eternally glorifies Him (John 15).

Take a look at the exciting Mission Mexico posts here

Christ saved Katherine today. Interestingly, I pulled over to help another older lady and she didn’t want help …. she was kind about it but when asked did not want me to buy her lunch. I had tracked her down from behind after parking the vehicle. On the way back is when 2 women were ministered to, Katherine being the last. God orders the steps of His children, right? Psalms 37:23. This was one of those God things for sure….. Beloved Katherine was nearby and heard another dear woman being ministered to and as we parted Katherine told us both joyfully “we need to talk about the LORD more for sure.” A conversation ensued and Katherine, who mentally ascented to Jesus and said she loved Him….. stopped her life today and repented and received Jesus for the first time. When asked if she’d go to Heaven or hell today if she died, it was obvious that she’dd never yet been saved and so the Gospel was explained to her (1 John 5:10-13, etc.) and she agreed to pray to God in repentance and receive Jesus and so we did and it was thorough and sincere. This beloved woman was elated to now know she is Christ’s – saved and forgiven. Love, joy, and peace was showing on her face. Thank you for lifting up our new sister in Christ in prayer (Colossians 4:12 right!). Katherine already has the Born Again and Moments with Our Master Spanish devotional books as of today and we are going to talk again on Thursday! Oh and beloved Katherine also received a nice home grown delicious Mexican lunch, cold water, and some money….. as well as others God blessed in the same way today…. due to your prayer and support. To put it lightly, it was clear and she knows that GOD Himself visited her life today….. as we see Jesus encountering and blessing many in the Gospels as our King came upon them!

Mission Mexico

Here’s a video I took of the street and restaurant where Katherine was ministered to.

Beloved Carmen received ministry and some money. She was beside herself at receiving this blessed help that you made possible.

Elias is on the verge of being saved. When we met he asked my named and desired more and deeper conversation. So he received the Word in spoken and print formats and via text messages ever since. He’s also being ministered to by Vicente who is an astute disciple of Jesus…….
as in most cases, he’s received the ministry books in Spanish in pdf format…. I send them the Born Again book first then the other 3 that are in Spanish thus far.

Thank you for lifing brother Justin in prayer. He is now in Japan. Yesterday he sent this:

“In Jesus’ name, Amen. Reading John again at the moment. It’s always pruning season, brother, and a fool like me has so many ideas and self concerns to be pruned. God is great. Much love brother. You have a blessed week, too!” Justin

God is able!
Are we willing?
“WE (plural) are labourers TOGETHER with God.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

Thank you for praying for the precious people of beautiful Mexico.

“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” Psalms 2:8

The Book of Titus Overview [podcast]

“Loved this podcast. Thank you. One word that stuck out to me was pattern! Titus 2:7. I missed that word in that verse. The Holy Spirit is aways teaching us. Since this word was new to me I went to King James Dictionary: ‘Anything cut of formed into shape of something to be made after it. Pattern to imitate or follow.’ I think I now understand. Let Him shape and mold you. Pattern your life after Christ. Jesus was our perfect pattern!” Karen Cochran

“Though the Old Testament never directly mentions Crete (shown in inset), this island had a significant impact on the history of Israel. Crete was home to the ancient city of Knossos and the great Minoan civilization, the first advanced society in Europe, which flourished from before the time of Abraham until around the time of Moses. As this civilization declined, many people from Crete and mainland Greece began to migrate in vast numbers to new lands further east, including Israel. This is likely how the Philistines came to inhabit the Mediterranean coast of southern Israel. In the centuries that followed, various world powers gained control over Crete until finally it came under the rule of Rome, which grouped it together with the area around Cyrene on the North African coast to form a single province. (Cyrene was the home of a man named Simon, who carried Jesus’ cross for him after Jesus was no longer able to carry it.) As Paul was on his way to stand trial in Rome (Acts 27), he sailed along the southern coast of Crete, and there the captain lost control of the ship in a storm while attempting to reach safe harbor at Phoenix. The sailors became terrified that they would run aground on the sandbars of Syrtis, but instead they were driven by the storm to the island of Malta much further west, and the crew was saved.”

Abraham was born around 2166 BC

Moses – between 1391–1271 BCE.

Acts 27 and the Journey to Rome:

“The Apostle Paul was shipwrecked on Crete while on his way to Rome. His ship took shelter at a harbor on the southern coast called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.”

Of the book of Titus, one source notes the following:

“The Book of Titus is a letter from Apostle Paul to his protégé Titus, who was tasked with establishing order and appointing leaders in the churches on the island of Crete. The letter contains guidance on selecting qualified elders, combating false teachings, and instructing believers to live godly, grace-empowered lives that demonstrate the gospel’s transforming power through good works and upright conduct.”

The Holy Ghost led Paul to set up God-fearing “elders in every city” to rebuke and to stop the deceivers and their lies and to establish the truth “sound doctrine.”

“For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: … 9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. 10  For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11  Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.” Titus 1:5,9-10

To the “young men” and every disciple of Jesus (Titus 2:6).

“In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8  Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.” Titus 2:7-8

“Good works” or “Good work” appear 6 times in Titus.

“They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every GOOD WORK reprobate.” Titus 1:16

“In all things shewing thyself a pattern of GOOD WORKS: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity.” Titus 2:7

“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of GOOD WORKS.” Titus 2:14

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain GOOD WORKS. These things are good and profitable unto men.” Titus 3:8

“And let ours also learn to maintain GOOD WORKS for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.” Titus 3:14
