DELUSION of the Day: One who has been saved is now living in sin, not repenting, and still being told he’s going to Heaven! False teacher! Jer 23:17; Jude 3-4, etc.

Ongoing saving faith produces a life of holiness without which NO man shall enter Heaven, regardless of his past relationship with God (Ezek. 33:12-13; Heb. 12:14; 2 Pet. 2:20-22).

If you are not truly sanctified, set apart unto Christ, you are deceived to think you are His.

Think about this: According to God’s Word, without holiness, there can be no entrance into Heaven and without repentance, there can be no holiness (Heb. 12:14).

According to the New Testament record, authentic saving faith is not un-forfeitable, but rather can be:

“Cast off” – “But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.” 1 Timothy 5:11-12
“Put away” and “Made shipwreck” of – “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.” 1 Timothy 1:19
“Denied” – “I know thy works and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.” Revelation 2:13
“Denied” – “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” 1 Timothy 5:8
“Depart from the faith” – “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly (clearly), that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4:1
“Failed – “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not (if this was not possible, why would Jesus have prayed?): and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:32
“Overthrown – “Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.” 2 Timothy 2:18
“Erred from” – “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10
“Erred” from – “Which some professing have erred concerning the faith…” 1 Timothy 6:21
“Fallen Away from: One can “fall away” from his believing/saving faith – “They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.” Luke 8:13

Eternal security/OSAS is diabolically designed to justify sin and lukewarmness, prevent the once saved person from living a repentant life, denying self in this sinful world, taking up the cross, and following Jesus for real! OSAS is the lie Satan uses to steal back the souls he lost. This is the very first lie of Satan which led to the fall of mankind (Genesis 2:17; 3:4).

IF God’s saving grace is un-conditional, WHY then did He warn the first man and woman? WHY did He promise they’d “die” (be separated from Him) if they sinned against Him? (Genesis 2:17; 3:4) Remember, Adam and Eve were in perfect relationship with God when He warned them – because no sin had entered into the world as of that point (1 Corinthians 10:12).

God is “Holy, holy, holy” and “the wages of sin is death” – “death” in Scripture means separation from Him (Isaiah 6:3; Romans 6:23; Revelation 4:8).

Flash Point: YOU will be eternally secure WHEN YOU ARE IN HEAVEN, not before. You MUST “endure to the end” to be saved into Heaven (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Hebrews 10:26-39, etc.). Forsake and expose all who teach Satan’s first lie – OSAS/eternal security (Genesis 2:17; 3:4).

RECENTLY, in Alabama, I reconnected with a man who professes to be in Christ who I haven’t seen in years. He’s been through much since then. The topic of “eternal security” came up and was met with the full force of Holy Scripture. He was called to repent and denounce it completely lest he continue to be plagued by the curses associated with espousing heresy. ….. In reflection upon that conversation, it seems apparent that when people distance themselves from you for telling them the truth, they are doing you a favor. Jesus informed us that “men love darkness rather than light” and that’s their God-given choice to make (John 3:19-21). If the truth of God runs someone off, that’s the separation Jesus spoke of – between darkness and light. Think about it, the truth of God, the Word of God, is “sword of the Spirit” which divides (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12). God be praised!

Nourishing the Body of Christ

HOW well do you know your way around in God’s Word?

Jesus knew His way around God’s Word. Do you? If not, why not?

“And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he FOUND the place where it was written,” Luke 4:17

The disciple of Christ must daily and diligently search, study, and learn God’s Word in light of His Great Commission command to us to teach His Word to others (Matthew 28:18-20). Our ability to minister is in large part based on our knowledge of God’s Word or the ability to navigate God’s Word (King James Bible).

MAKE THE DIFFERENCE – OBEY GOD, “PREACH THE WORD.” (2 TIMOTHY 4:2)

Tip: Always know WHERE you are reading in God’s Word – chapter and verse. You’ll be surprised at the repertoire that begins to build, making you, like Jesus, a good navigator of our LORD’s Word as you preach His Word (Luke 4:17).

Have you ever pondered why there is little or no Scripture being used when listening to someone pretending to be speaking about the LORD? You should wonder (Matthew 7:16, 20; 1 John 4:1).

“Preach the word” is the divine mandate, command (2 Timothy 4:2).

Let us cease to pretend that we represent the LORD when everything we say isn’t coming straight out of His Word. Read that again please.

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles (written Word) of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11

Think God is calling you to serve? Good. If He has saved you, He has called you (Ephesians 2:8-10; 4:7). Get lost in His Word every day (Jeremiah 15:16). Read it (Revelation 1:3). Study it (2 Timothy 2:15). Memorize it (Proverbs 4:4). Meditate upon it day and night (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1). THAT’s your prep for ministry, not going to an antichrist seminary. Jesus inducted you into His school of the Holy Ghost and Word the moment He saved you.

And he says he “conferred not with flesh and blood.” But he was taught “by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Gal 1:12-18). Maturity in Christ is seen in those who unrelentingly seek His face! 1 Chronicles 16:11

YOU are either going to clearly prove you love God by perpetually flooding your heart and mind with the Word, prayer, and praises of our LORD Jesus Christ…. or you absolutely will fall away (Luke 8:13; 1 Timothy 4:1-2, etc.).

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalms 27:4

“When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.” Psalms 27:8
