MINISTRY which pleases God is simply helping people know and grow in Christ for themselves – by the cross life and getting into HIS Word for themselves so they can follow HIM, not you! True ministry fosters in the hearers faith in God, not the preacher or local church organization! Read 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; 2 Corinthians 1:9; 3:5; 4:5.

IT doesn’t matter if you like someone’s personality or how they make YOU feel, THAT has nothing to do with whether or not they are a true or false prophet! Repent. Deny yourself. Lay down your life – be crucified with Christ. Follow JESUS not man! Gal 2:20; 6:14

Matthew Washington writes:

“A true follower of Christ never follows a personality but rather they seek and follow the truth which is Christ. Question: Are you following Christ or a man, method, or ministry? Everyone of us who name the name of Christ should ask the Father if we are truly following Him or something or someone else that we think is Him. Deception is Rampant!!! Let no man deceive you by any means.”

To assume that most ministers are true is to reveal that one is operating out of a carnal, not a kingdom mindset.

“And MANY false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because MANY false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

Does the term “many true prophets” ever appear in Scripture? NO!

WOULD so many be deceived by the “MANY false prophets” we were warned about if they studied God’s Word diligently for themselves? No! (Matthew 24:11; Hosea 4:6: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; 2 Timothy 2:15).

IF you are going to defend a preacher, the burden of proof is on YOU to demonstrate how they are preaching the original Gospel, or not. Do you even know the original Gospel?

GOD has a problem with those who misrepresent HIM – false prophets. Read Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 34 and begin to gain a biblical education and view of the world. If you have a problem with people who obey God by exposing His enemies, false leaders, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GOD HIMSELF.

While naming the names of wolves is biblical and therefore important, it’s also important for us to learn the tools of discernment which is all in God’s Word (Romans 16:17-18). This way we are individually able to discern who is true from the “many false prophets.” (Matthew 24:11; 1 John 4:1)

WHAT better strategic placement could Satan possibly obtain than positioning himself as a minister, cloaking himself behind the cloth, getting a foot in the door, anchoring himself in the midst of that which professes to be Christian? This he does as he deceives the seekers using men who pose as Christ’s very ministers (2 Corinthians 11:12-15). As he controls those in ministry positions, is he then not in the perfect position to mislead those who come to seek the LORD? Were we not often warned of this very thing – wolves who hide behind sheep garb? (Matthew 7:15)

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2 Corinthians 11:12-14

In a recent conversation ……

The wide net was cast by our LORD and John His apostle when both of them used the words “MANY false prophets.” (Matthew 24:11; 1 John 4:1) Now by deduction, when we consider that there is the complete absence of the words “many true prophets” in God’s Word, it seems that we can conclude that most men in ministry are Satan’s agents. Now couple that with Scripture revelation like this one concerning the condition of the apostate church world in the final days of this age: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse (epidemic increase), deceiving, and being deceived.” (2 Timothy 3:13) Oh and how about: “For we are not as MANY, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 2:17)

There are explicit Bible verses mandating that false leaders be exposed – and that is so people can be protected (Romans 16:17-18; Jude 3-4 etc.).

Is your favorite preacher communicating Scripture like this (below) to warn you? OR, is the wolf tickling your ears? (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Revelation 2:10

The Cross of Christ in Ministry

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14

“For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

When a man is truly “crucified with Christ,” (Galatians 2:20), Christ alone will be magnified in and through his life.

“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” 2 Corinthians 4:5

There is simply no separating the cross from false prophets…. They are the very ones leading millions to hell because they refuse to take it up and then preach it.

There is no Gospel of Christ without the cross!

Paul calls self-serving ministers “enemies of the cross of Christ.” (Philippians 3:18-19)

True Ministers vs False Leaders – The Difference!

How does Satan mislead people?

“For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” Isaiah 9:16

The question often arises: “HOW does the Bible define a false prophet/leader? WHO are the false leaders among us?”

Simple: The true minister of Christ is a faithful servant to the LORD and will always lead you to magnify Christ according to HIS stated biblical prescription – the cross.

The false prophet simply leads you to worship at the altar of self instead of the Savior.

IF A MAN isn’t preaching the cross – that you must die, lived the crucified life – he’s a wolf, an “enemy(ies) of the cross of Christ.” (Philippians 3:18-19) NOW, how “MANY false prophets” are there? (Matthew 24:11; Philippians 3:18-19; 1 John 4:1)

Beloved saint of Christ, may God grant you greater and greater discernment – eyes to see and ears to hear.

SUNDAY MORNINGS: Did he preach Christ? The cross? Hell? Repentance? Holiness? The return of Jesus? If not, run! The Apostate Modern Church: SO much about raising money for man’s “building projects” and little or nothing about Christ! Hint: They are raising more money to entertain more goats!

CLUE: Modern wolves repeatedly invite their gullible prey to give them money to perpetuate their circus act they call “church” and yet can never be heard calling people to come in repentance and faith before a holy God through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ! Run!

A COMMON OBJECTION HEARD WHEN CHRIST’S DISCIPLES WARN AND IDENTIFY WOLVES:

“BUT wait, God loves those wolves who misrepresent Him too and we must love them!”

REPLY:

Wolves have deliberately made themselves, using their own free will, the very enemies of Christ (Philippians 3:18-19) and must be marked (specifically identified) so those Jesus died to save can be kept safe in His truth (Romans 16:17-18). That’s love! Those who don’t warn are walking in hate, in lock step with the enemy of all souls who has sent forth those wolves! WHOSE side are you really on? After all, those who cover far – do not expose – Satan’s “ministers” are aiding and abetting the arch enemy of Christ! (2 Corinthians 11:12-15) Love? Love can only be understand by studying and knowing the WHOLE counsel of God who “is love.” (1 John 4:8, 16) We must juxtaposition the biblical truth that we are mandated to “mark them” – the false leaders – as we “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints” (Romans 16:17-18)…. And that’s because the Good Shepherd, “the Great Shepherd of the sheep” who bled on the cross to save His children, does not desire any to be lost – Rev 3:11; Heb 13:20.

QUESTION ASKED:

“I’m concerned how long it took your attention from God to hand cut these pictures (a collage of “many false prophets) out.”

REPLY:

Someone else out there, perhaps a good watchman for Jesus, made that graphic. I wonder if you have concern for the protection of the sheep of Christ’s pasture? Read the extreme, severe vigor of the LORD’s apostle Paul in Acts 20:20-32 and then let’s talk about having your eyes on Jesus – which includes earnestly contending for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3). You have to decide which side you are really one friend. Think about it: If there weren’t so very “many false prophets,” you know, the ones you’ve been listening to, why then is this the first time you’ve encountered this biblical message of truth?

Laboring Fervently for Christ’s Body [podcast]

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 13  For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.” Colossians 4:12-13

One source notes:

“Epaphras’ prayer is a powerful New Testament model of intercession found in Colossians 4:12. As the founder of the church in Colossae, Epaphras is described by the Apostle Paul as ‘wrestling’ or ‘laboring earnestly’ in prayer so that his congregation would stand mature, firm, and fully assured in the will of God.”

Jesus Heals the Paralytic Man who was Dropped Down to Him from the Roof

Mark 2

“1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2  And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

3  And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4  And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

5  When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

6  But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

7  Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

8  And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

9  Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

10  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11  I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

12  And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” Mark 2:1-12

Abiding Under the Shadow of the Almighty [podcast]

Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. 16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:  Jeremiah 15:15-16

Dwelling “in the secret place of the most High”

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:1-2

“In the secret place of the Most High – Spoken probably in reference to the Holy of holies. He who enters legitimately there shall be covered with the cloud of God’s glory – the protection of the all-sufficient God. This was the privilege of the high priest only, under the law: but under the new covenant all believers in Christ have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; and those who thus enter are safe from every evil.” Adam Clarke

“[Psalms] 91:1, 2 Jesus is the One who in a preeminent way dwelt in the secret place of the Most High, and abode under the shadow of the Almighty. There never was a life like His. He lived in absolute, unbroken fellowship with God, His Father. He never acted in self-will but did only those things that the Father directed. Though He was perfect God, He was also perfect Man, and He lived His life on earth in utter and complete dependence on God. Without equivocation He could look up and say, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I will trust.” Believer’s Bible Commentary
