Artificial vs Real Assurance of Salvation [podcast]

Is there assurance of salvation? Yes. Yet, how does the Bible tell us it comes about, manifests?

Note closely in this passage below how that the action of obedience, emanating of a born again, presently abiding relationship with Christ, is the only place God will grant His assurance. All other “assurance” is a lie.

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” 1 John 3:16-24

If you want real assurance, in the innermost part of your being, you must obey God. You must follow the truth, the Word of God and it’s only then that His Holy Spirit will grant you that assurance we all desire (John 8:31-32, 36). Nothing short of truly loving and therefore obeying the LORD will produce the assurance in your heart of hearts. There are no shortcuts. Are you ready to get real with God? Memorize 1 John 3:18 KJB.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7-8

The system of Christ’s kingdom cannot be cheated. If you want “strong confidence”, if you want His “assurance” vs fake eternal security “assurance,” you must repent afresh, love supremely and trust God with your life by faith, deny yourself, take up the cross “daily” and follow Jesus for real! (Luke 9:23-24)

“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.” Proverbs 14:26

Read that again. Those who truly fear God, obey God.

“Real assurance comes from laying down your life, taking your whole self to the feet of Jesus and letting Him take out all that is not of Him. Then He can manifest Himself into your whole being, into every part of you, every corner. So then you have “no part dark.” (Luke 11:36) Then your inner strength comes from the Lord and not self! You will be ‘strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.’ Ephesians 3: 16. This will make you strong in the faith of Jesus to endure hardships or trials. You will have His strength in your very soul. OSAS doesn’t bring this blessing. Those who believe the eternal security lie will fail and is weak under pressure! But our Lord will never fail! He is our firm foundation.” Karen Cochran

Instead of the eternal security frauds spending their time and energy preaching the whole counsel of the Word of God HONESTLY, the truth of the need to walk in obedience to God, they spend all their time lying to their prey – telling them that because they said a prayer of faith in the past, they have the assurance of eternal salvation. Not. This is why they are so preoccupied with assurance – because they do not have real assurance in the hearts. No, instead they have a lie in their heads that does not resound to and in their deceived, self-serving hearts. There is no cross in the lives who’ve embraced the diabolical myth of eternal security/once saved always saved.

When we abide in vital union, relationship on HIS stated terms, we are possessed with His assurance. If we are not presently walking with Jesus, worshipping and obeying Him, we have no assurance and any we pretend to have is a lie. Anyone not literally serving the LORD presently, has chosen not to abide, continue in Christ. They are not living by faith, are in danger of hell fire, and have no authentic assurance in their hearts (John 15:5-6). God will not confirm rebellion (Galatians 6:7-8).

WHO loves God? -Those who obey God. Jesus told us whom He and the Father manifest to.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:21-23

When the Father and Son are manifesting themselves to the obedience saint, there is assurance. That’s the only place it’s found to be in the life of the professing saint. Obedience saves no one and yet it’s the earmark fruit of all who are truly known of Christ.

“But if any man love God, the same is known of him.” 1 Corinthians 8:3

The calvinism and eternal security cultists want the assurance of salvation without the abiding cross-walk with Jesus. Why? – because it’s ALL about them, not Jesus. They love their darkness more than light, more than Christ (John 3:19-21).

There are no shortcuts. The only way to walk in assurance of salvation is obedience – a word that counterfeits are allergic to.

They don’t want Jesus. No, they only want Jesus to save THEM from hell because their life is all about THEM. They don’t want a real relationship with Jesus – on HIS stated terms – real repentance, then the crucified life daily (Luke 9:23-24; 13:3). They have an arrangement, not a relationship. “I never knew you: Depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23).

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23

ALWAYS keep in mind Christ’s parable of the seed and the sower and the 4 heart soils (Luke 8:11-15). There are 4 scenarios possible. One can believe and be saved, then “fall away.” (Luke 8:13)

One commentator notes the following.

“I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness: In the end, there is one basis of salvation; it isn’t mere verbal confession, not “spiritual works,” but knowing Jesus and being known by Him. It is our connection to Him – by the gift of faith that He gives to us – that secures our salvation. Connected to Jesus we are secure; without connection to Him all the miracles and great works prove nothing.

i. “What a terrible word! What a dreadful separation! Depart from ME! From the very Jesus whom you have proclaimed in union with whom alone eternal life is to be found. For, united to Christ, all is heaven; separated from him, all is hell.” (Clarke)

ii. In addition, these are not people who lost their salvation. Instead, they never truly had it (I never knew you).”

YOUR PRAYER: Holy Father, I have sinned against Thee. I have followed lies due to my own darkness, sin, self-idolatry, pride, and rebellion. Yet now, this moment, I come to You in repentance, asking You to forgive all my myriad of sins. Please wash me clean in Jesus’ precious blood. From this moment forward, I want to walk with my LORD Jesus. Please bless this life You gave to truly abide in vital union with You LORD Jesus. Please fill me now with Your Holy Ghost and use me mightily in this last hour as we eagerly await Your return. I love You LORD Jesus. In Jesus’ name. amen.
