IF the real body of Christ doesn’t support HIS work, who will? No one.

Everything we have comes from our God and out of it we give in worship-filled thanksgiving to Him….

“All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.” 1 Chronicles 29:14

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38

God looks at 2 things concerning giving – and yes HE is watching you and what you are doing with His resources for which you will give full account:

your heart posture (2 Corinthians 9:7)
the % of what you give as opposed to what you keep for yourself (Mark 12:41-44; Luke 16:19-31)

Regardless of where we are personally in this, we must be transformed out of worldly mindset and into kingdom thinking (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23-24). Some who have resources in this world believe this makes them rich. Not. Some who have little in this world suffer the distress of thinking that means they are not important. Not. Learn what Jesus means in Luke 12:15. Here are several resources on learning a kingdom mindset in the biblical doctrine of stewardship. Please share this post.

Anna Lisa writes: “Misguided ‘Christians’ who AREN’T SEEKING GOD are putting their tithes and offerings into the FAKE, COUNTERFEIT churches (buildings, religion) instead of giving to the REAL TEMPLE, the REAL BODY of Christ where it is needed.”

“And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.” 1 Corinthians 7:31

Speaking of using what God has ALREADY given us for His glory, Charles Pray writes:

“Some have not received the Blessings of God just because they haven’t given out the blessings of God to all those around them daily!” Charles Pray

Part of the reason I at times get angered is due to the crass indifference of many who called Jesus their Savior…. it’s scary how few authentically serve Him and not self. Those who serve Him own nothing in this world because they understand that it’s all His. So, they obey Him by giving and keep a lose or no grip on the fleeting things of this world.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
…
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:19-24

You’re going to spend your life and energy doing something. Should it not be that which holds eternal value? Isn’t everything else waste? Why waste your time and energy in this brief life on temporal trinkets and pursuits? Riches

IF you’ve been given much you are that much accountable. When God increases you financially, it’s not to expand your own portfolio but rather your giving. Read Christ’s severe warning on this in Luke 12. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” (Luke 12:48)

Charles Pray writes: “Why invest in .Man’s SYSTEM? Where you only get back a very low interest on your investments? Start investing in God’s eternal kingdom where you receive 100% on ALL of what you invest in! Don’t be short changed by the devil anymore, who comes only to Steal Rob and Kill! Where Jesus came to SAVE. He can give you more because He gave His ALL on Calvary. Trust in Him (Jesus) and lean not on your own understanding, But acknowledge Him in ALL your ways and. He will direct your paths! Amen! Just like the Red Cross motto states “Give Blood to save others” JESUS gave ALL His to SAVE US! Amen! Next time you pass by someone in need? Don’t question their need? But instead question your GIVING? Amen! Brother Charles.”

“Oh boy, this is right on — very convicting. Also, because of the truth of what you said and the reality of the lack of giving, it makes me want to not ever again pass up the opportunities to give that come my way. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1 Cor. 10:12). Please forgive me Lord for not literally jumping at the chance to honor You and glorify Your Name by helping those in need.
